Summary: SUMMER FAN FICTION CHALLENGE
The first episode of season 3 was unbelievably off the mark for me - and for so many reasons.
First, Justin made the biggest mistake of his life by choosing Ethan over Brian, showing just how far he had strayed from the ability he once had to read the man who had thrown away his rule book, and was scrambling to write a new one as he went along.
Worse still, in my book however, is that while Brian had plenty to answer for to Justin regarding his behavior, it was his family that once again blamed Brian for all the wrongs in the world, never once considering the fact that hitting Michael was so far out of character for Brian that something really huge must have triggered it.
Once again the golden child could do no wrong, only Brian knowing how far out of line his so-called best friend's comments about Justin had been, and everyone quickly rallied around Michael with love and support, while directing nothing but anger and disgust at the one man who had always been there to pick up all the pieces in their lives.
Ok...so now that I got that off my chest...

Summary: If you're wondering why the title... yes, it was inspired by "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed. I've been thinking of making this song into a story for years... and it finally came to me today.
I sincerely wanted to get this done earlier, because my original purpose of writing this was to wish Predec2 a Happy Birthday! That's right, KP ;) I wrote a story for your birthday, cause I had to do more than just send a simple Happy Birthday wish.
I was trying for sweet, fluffy and happy, and while I managed the sweet and happy, the song that inspired the story just led to a bit of angst. I made sure there was still smut and lemons though... what's a Brian/Justin story without that? Not to mention, it's one of my stories.

Inspiration hit late but it hit hard! Been rattling this out since the end of March. Medieval setting and golden nuts and kung fu set the tone for this newest fantasy from my warped brain.
Please excuse the dark tone in the first chapter but there's a neccesary plot device in there. Not to worry, it brightens and Springtime's up faster and just as inappropriately as the now infamous time change in Disney's Bambi.
