Justin Taylor and Brian Kinney had a lot in common. They both had to raise themselves. Neither of them had a picture perfect family and by the time they entered college they were on their own. Brian is a private investigator working on an art theft for an insurance company. Justin just moved to Pittsburgh and is now working for Emmett Honeycutt and George Schickle in the Schickle Art Gallery. Brian arranges to meet with Justin, hoping Justin might have heard something working with art.

There are instantaneous sparks when they meet, and the heat between them begins to grow and grow. Will Brian find the art thief? Does Justin have the connections to assist him? Will they be able to focus on the case at hand or will their attraction to each other distract both of them enough to fail.

Pittburgh had a massive blackout. The group and others decide a sleepover would be more fun than being alone in the dark.

Justin gets pulled over for speeding and his wildly inappropriate alter ego takes over.

A terrible tragedy has changed Justin's life forever, and he is now struggling to find the will to keep going.

Justin takes up a part time job at a prison. The thought of creating art with bunch of law breakers seems scary. Justin tries to keep a bubble around himself to block out all the evil reasons why the inmates are in the prison because living in ignorant bliss is easier. But what happens when a certain handsome inmate gets fixated on him? It can’t be a good thing that someone who is capable of taking a human life, is suddenly interested in him? And what about the fact that Justin’s eyes seem to find this inmate more often than allowed when he’s in the room? And to top the cake, Justin signed a document that states he can’t have any kind of personal relationships with the inmates. Now this seriously can’t end well, can it?

It’s Devils’ Night and Justin is missing. Brian’s panicked, and Michael’s innocent act is failing miserably…

Post-513. Justin is bored out of his mind at a dinner party with his latest boy toy. But can an unexpected guest turn the night around?

The year is 1889 and Lord Justin Taylor has just buried his father.  Within a week he also lost the stable manager who had always been a gentle man he could talk to. He would never be as great a man as his father but he promised to do his best.  He had to figure out how to have a family and children when he was only interested in finding a man to love.

Justin is finally getting recognition for his talent. He has just made his first big sale.  Along with the sale comes notoriety come media attention.  After saying no to interview after interview, he finally says yes.  How was he to know that they would send Brian Kinney to ask the questions.  He had hated him since high school and now he had no option but to go through with the meeting.

Accidents happen, but some are worse than others. Brian's car gets hit by a blond who doesn't seem to be scared of him.

Brian and Justin have moved to Hawkin’s Island.  They wanted to spend as much time with their children. They were growing so fast.  It was a perfect place for Justin to create and Brian could still keep an eye on his businesses.  Emmett and James, as well as Kate and Quinn had joined them to keep the house running smoothly.  

It is the perfect place for family and friends  to visit and children to have the best life possible. Britin has moved to paradise and life is good.

The passage of time is ever constant. There is no such ting as 'Only time'. This is something Kagome knows all too well.

This is a completely random MPreg story where Brian is overdue and doesn’t like it one bit.

Vicki Tubridy and I used to speak almost every day.  We had many conversations about stories and plot bunnies. Before she passed away she had asked if I would write a story from a plot bunny she had.  She pictured Gus as an EMT in training and he saved the life of one special stranger.  I hope I can tell a story that Vicki would enjoy.

Post-series, 6 months later. Justin goes on a reality TV show. There is hidden danger and shocking surprises around ever corner. 

We're placing this at the top of our most recent stories to honor Vicki Turbridy (Vic32) who passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  Vicki gifted us with many stories, but I'm sure during our sadness she would want us to find our smile, too.  You will be truly missed, Vicki.  Rest in peace, dear lady.

Brian, Justin, and their family returned to Pittsburgh and, after getting the house and businesses in order they boarded a plane, along with Rachel and Sonya, to spend two months in Ireland.  While Justin spends time on his art, Brian is going to dig into his Irish ancestry. The mythical beauty of the country has drawn everyone in.

4/8/22  So. That author's note was written a long, long time ago. I wrote it with the best of intentions, I swear. But life happened, and for reasons I won't go into here, I couldn't bring myself to continue writing a story with this subject matter. But that little folder has lived on my desktop for all this time, and I have never forgotten where I left our boys. And so, one day a month or so ago, I opened it up and spent some time reminding myself just how much I love Brian and Justin and Queer As Folk. I still have reservations writing about cancer for 'entertainment'. I am no medical professional, nor have I personally experienced anything like what Brian is going to go through. But I've done more research for this than anything else I've ever done, and I've tried to treat it with the sensitivity and respect it deserves. Please forgive any inaccuracies.

I don't even know if anyone will give it a chance again, but I owe to those of you who trusted me and read it all those years ago (and to the boys) to keep my word and try to finish this beast. I hope you'll join me.

Justin is traveling with Ethan Gold on a European tour.  When they arrived in Amsterdam, they realized the car they were supposed to have for the week had not been set up.  With the help of the hotel, he hires a young American to drive them around the city.  True love will always win. 

Brian and Justin have moved the family to Atlanta for the summer.  Justin planned to focus on his art students and his own work. J.Jay, his assistant, would be helping him at the gallery and with the other young artists that would come and go throughout the summer.

Brian had a couple leads for new clients he planned on working on this summer but his main plan was to spend as much time with his kids as he could.  He especially wanted to spend time with Gus.  Since Lindsay had come back to the states, Brian felt like he was missing out on so much more and Gus was growing up so fast. Henry had come along to take care of the kids. A housekeeper had been hired to do some of the cooking and to clean while they were there.  It was the perfect home away from home for the Tyler-Kinney clan.

Kevin had started the center years earlier and now had bigger plans for Legacy Atlanta.  Tom Butterfield had been running the place since Kevin had moved to Pittsburgh.His wife, Natalia, had been working with Brandy and Sally, Kevin’s adopted daughters and he couldn’t wait to meet his newest granddaughter, Kelin Cae, who had been named after him.  They planned to open a new, expanded Center that would be able to help more struggling, young adults.

Another benefit to the trip was to get away from Craig Taylor.  If it was the last thing they did, they were keeping full custody of Aaron. Craig may have donated sperm, but that was his only contribution.  He was still on parole so he wasn’t allowed to leave the state….or could he.

Justin has been living in New York for almost 5 years.  This is the story of what happened during that time and how the boys find their way back to each other.

Our fourth and final (I think) in the Man I Hate? the series has begun.  Brian and Justin along with their boys, Aiden and Gus, along with Ted and Victor with their new ward, JR are heading home from the cabin. The boys will be heading back to school in a couple days.  Ted and Victor are going to build their own cabin near Brian and Justin's and they are thrilled to be able to help with JR.  They had always wanted a family and now they had one.   

Justin's ex is threatening to take Aiden away and while Brian and Justin fear they may lose one of their sons, Ted and Victor may be adding one.  

(Child abuse will be mentioned in a past memory at the beginning of this story.)

This story is set in the fictional world of Gilead (from the Handmaid's Tale). Don't worry if you don't know anything about that world, I will explain before the first chapter.

In this story Justin is with Ethan (I know, don't kill me! I promise it won't be like that forever and I promise that Ethan is not the bad guy here!). They didn't meet in season 2, in this story they only met after Justin had fled Gilead.

AU / Post-513 Justin and Brian meet one another flying back and forth from Pittsburgh to New York.  Otherwise, canon.

Atlanta prepare!  Brian Kinney and Justin Taylor will be bringing their boys to see their grandfather.  They will be making a splash in Atlanta’s high society.  Justin’s artwork will take off making a lot of money for Kevin’s shelter.  Brian will meet the ‘girls’ Kevin considers family, and they will bond as a family.

While the Kinney-Tayler-Cain family become a strong unit, Britin will be well taken care of with the family that stayed up there.  Dante and Ronni will be building their house while Em and James debate how they should create a family that includes children.

And what will happen with Nate and Tom when Nate begins to live her life as Natalia.  Will they go their own way or will Tom’s love for Natalia win out over his love for the church.

I was looking through one of my flash drives labled WIP and found this that was written around 2013.  Hope you enjoy it.

Mel is Married to Ted and Michael is Married to Lindsey. Lindsey and Michael are both homophobic.

Eighteen year old Justin Taylor had just started his new job and now he was going out to delivery a pizza to the middle of nowhere.  This was the first night of the rest of his life!

It has been five years since Brian and Justin had reunited at their Montana cabin.  Little Aiden is just completing kindergarten.  Although he would always have his health issues, they were well controlled as long as he stayed on his medication.  Gus was the son they are worried about.  He is 15 and completing his sophomore year.  He had gotten in with the wrong crowd.  He’d been living with his moms more and more who were too wrapped up in their own problems that they lost track of what Gus was up to.

Now it is up to Brian and Justin to try and get their kind and caring son back before it is too late.

Brian has had a bad day at work and plans on unwinding by going to Woody’s and Babylon with his friends and his Sunshine, only to have his plans dashed when he comes home to find quite the surprise. 

Sequel to “It’s Good to Have Friends in High Places.” Please read that one before this one. This is the next morning at the diner.

Justin regrets leaving Brian the moment he turned his back. He had this wild notion that Brian would come after him. He deluded himself into thinking that Ethan loved him. All Justin wanted was to feel loved. But shortly after he moved in with Ethan, he started changing. He knew it was happening, but he couldn't get himself out of it. He fell down a rabbit hole of depression, fear and humiliation. How does he get away from Ethan?

Justin moves into the red brick house with his boyfriend Ethan and the guy who lives upstairs is not just an asshole but also really weird.

In Season 1 episode 10 Brian and the gang drive to NYC to retrieve Justin. While they are on the road  Brian recalls the summer he ran away to live in New York and formed a special bond with an ex-resident of Pittsburg.
