Wow!!! I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone watching Justin toss Brian off of MT. Taylor! I can't wait to see where you takes us with this story.

Lovely. More complete trust between Justin and Brian, who are now committed to each other.

Reviewer: eureka1 (Signed) · Date: October 18, 2015 08:03 PM · On: Feel-Better Kisses

Wonderful how Gus and his feel-better kisses help Justin cope and stave off a panic attack.

Lovely chapter. Trust is being reestablished and humor abounds.

Again, those actions of Brian's are so much louder than words. He might be snarky about it, but he'll always help his chosen family.

So, so lovely to see the boys growing back together. I always though Justin was a natural fit for an advertising art department, whether working for Brian or not. And, he could still paint, too.

Brian's actions still show his love. <3

Reviewer: eureka1 (Signed) · Date: October 18, 2015 07:09 PM · On: Surprised

Justin being positive and changing because of that allows Michael to change and be a better person. In spite of Justin's depression and anxiety, this is a very positive chapter, with Justin and Brian starting to build a friendship.

Reviewer: eureka1 (Signed) · Date: October 18, 2015 06:49 PM · On: Breakfast

The rays of sunshine are breaking through the clouds. That Justin doesn't know how he became infected is believable. So is wanting to protect his loved ones, as well as being ashamed.

Reviewer: eureka1 (Signed) · Date: October 18, 2015 06:31 PM · On: Medicine

I suspected it was HIV. So sad. Justin and Brian are so alike, shutting out those they love the most.

Wow! What an angsty and impactful opening chapter. No "sunshine" in this chapter.

REally enjoying this story.  I haven't red fic for a while, been very busy, but this was on my list.  I'm glad I decided to try it.  I really like the way you portray Brian and Justin's relationship-  I could see how Justin would change and Brian would want things to go back to the way they were.  They are very good portrayls.  Can't wait to read more tomorrow.

I did enjoy it thanks so much

Reviewer: Flossee (Signed) · Date: May 28, 2014 12:44 PM · On: In Bed

I'm really glad you knew when to end this fic as some authors just seem to flounder around the ending to a point where the reader loses interest.  Although I don't like to see either of the men have HIV I didn't mind reading this as it was very mild, and of course I like the fact the fic centred mainly on Justin, as he is my favourite character.   I look forward to an update on "Friends and Lovers" and I hope you will update "Justin's New Friend" in the near future.

Cheers :)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: May 28, 2014 05:16 AM · On: In Bed

I think the ending is perfect.  Brian and Justin in bed together and Brian actually said the L word.

Reviewer: JAZZEPOET (Signed) · Date: May 28, 2014 04:34 AM · On: In Bed

This intimate moment between Brian and Justin was an enormous step in their relationship. It's wonderful that Justin is starting to feel like he can trust Brian and himself again...even if he does still harbor a sliver of fear in the back of his mind. I hope this upward trend continues.

Well I'll tell you what: I'm hoping to God that it means more ;)

Brian's willingness to wait for Justin, to put his needs first, is touching since it is obviously not his first instinct (but he wouldn't be Brian if it was). More and more progress between these two! Can't wait to see what comes next.

Brian is willing to go above and beyond, he even said they were partners!

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2014 10:27 PM · On: Justin's Needs

At least Brian is being honest.  Little bit by little bit Justin is improving, maybe seeing a therapist will help.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2014 10:21 PM · On: It's Almost A Date

Justin has a lot of catching up to do to get back to his normal self.  Knowing that everyone hasn't turned on him should help.  Being able to forget if only for a little while should help as well.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2014 10:14 PM · On: Time With Brian

At least Justin admitted he loved Brian and more surprising Brian admitted that Justin was still his boyfriend, something he'd never admitted before.

It's nice that Ben is someone Justin can count on to ease things, but why doesn't he want to accept the help that Brian is offering?

Reviewer: JAZZEPOET (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2014 06:08 PM · On: Feel-Better Kisses

What a wonderful chapter! Gus giving Justin feel - better kisses was simply adorable :) Now that the whole family knows, I have a feeling that the girls are going to try to somehow make Justin being positive Brian's fault. Let's just hope they don't try to keep Gus from seeing his father.

Hmmmm...although I'm glad that Justin is getting better emotionally, I still would like to see him trust Brian a bit more.

Reviewer: sarahyellow (Signed) · Date: March 11, 2014 03:16 AM · On: Over Night

Oh my gosh, it really seems like Jusitn is getting closer to being able to accept that greater level of intimacy between Brian and himself again. I think you walked the line so perfectly in this chapter. They both obviously wanted to go furthur, but they held back and yet there was minimal angst. I'm looking forward to when they do decide to have sex again though, of course. I think Justin has to figure that as long as they're safe, that's the most they can do.

Reviewer: bksbracelet (Signed) · Date: March 10, 2014 10:30 PM · On: Over Night

Oh dear but at least the boys are. Taking it slow I love that Brian is totally thinking about Justin and not just about his dick

Maybe mentioning that he fucked the boss wasn't the best idea.  I worry that Jordan may not be a team player.  I'm so glad that Brian makes sure Justin knows he's wanted and Justin is no longer shutting himself away.

Reviewer: sarahyellow (Signed) · Date: January 23, 2014 09:11 AM · On: A New Day

I read another review for this chapter and I think that they were very respectful and constructive. However, I'd like to say that I definately got that, when Justin was pushing or keeping Brian away--perhaps somewhat unfairly--that it was written as an irrational behavior, since that's what people do in real life: they have maladaptive behaviors that cause angst in their relationships. So I don't see it as a flaw or mistake in your logic. Just adding my two cents.

Reviewer: sarahyellow (Signed) · Date: January 23, 2014 12:02 AM · On: A New Day

Cool chapter. Brian wasn't as childish about the situation as I thought he'd be. The little blurbs about Hunter were amusing, and I always loved Brian in a JEEP, so I like that you put that in there. And I'm losing track now: who DOESN'T know about Justin? Lol. I think just Emmett and Ted, right?

Oh, and I just now took notice that this story is rated PG-13, which gives me the feeling that there won't be any love scenes shown between Brian and Justin. That's too bad though cause I think it would be a really interseting part, emotionally, to this fic if we could see how the two men handle being together again, knowing that Justin is positive. Well... and of course sex between those two is always salacious, lol.

Author's Response:

As of right now, it's only Ted and Emmitte. I hadn't planned on everyone learning so quickly, but.... it happened. As far as the rating, it will change later on, I can't wright about these boys without having some sex in it.  :)

Reviewer: JAZZEPOET (Signed) · Date: January 22, 2014 10:30 PM · On: A New Day

I have read every chapter up to now and I must say that this is the second most heartbreaking story I've invested in lately. I really don't know how to feel about the situation (I've said this about plot twists before and it's never been truer)

I think YumYumPM and I are having something of a mind meld here. I get why Justin would want to confide in Ben and accept the offer of help, but what I don’t get is why Justin won't afford Brian the same opportunity to be there for him and support him. Why does Justin seem to always to run away and leave Brian when things get tough? Justin is upset because he thinks Brian is trying to run his life and make his decisions for him. But isn't that exactly what he has done to Brian? He made the decision that Brian couldn't handle it and that he would be better off without even giving him a chance to prove otherwise.

Great story though and I can't wait for more :)

Author's Response:

The thing I have always seen and understood of Brian and Justin is that they have a habit of reacting without thinking it through, pushing away or walking away, and they have a lot of trouble talking about issues. I know the way Justin is treating Brian at the moment isn't really fair, but Justin isn't quite the same he had been, and he is also having emotional troubles so that afffects his thinking too.

Glad you're enjoying this story!

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: January 22, 2014 10:03 PM · On: A New Day

It's good of Ben and Michael to be so supportive.  It seems that Brian wishes to be as well but Justin isn't as willing?  Loving this story.

Reviewer: NoChaser (Signed) · Date: January 22, 2014 01:57 PM · On: Surprised

I can honestly say that I've never read a Michael that I found believably likeable, until now. I'm seriously anti-Michael (as he is in canon), and most of the stories that present him as a likeable, Justin-friendly character just don't ring true to me. This one is very different. The reasons he changes his feelings for Justin, and the honesty he projects in telling Justin that is very, very believable under the circumstances.

Thanks for giving me a chance to like him. :)

Reviewer: Silverfish (Signed) · Date: January 20, 2014 07:42 PM · On: Prologue

I really like the fact that Michael has decided to help Justin. It also makes it easier for Ben to love Michael as well when he's being nice, because otherwise it makes you seriously wonder why he's with him!!

I hope Justin can see that Brian's not just stepped in and is controlling his life, but that he loves him truly, madly, deeply and wants to make up for him leaving so abruptly last time... he just wants to keep him safe...

Loving this story.

Reviewer: bksbracelet (Signed) · Date: January 19, 2014 04:49 AM · On: Surprised

Wow I have never liked Michael and you put him in a good light and I actually thought he was a grown up.

Reviewer: Carol (Anonymous) · Date: January 18, 2014 02:51 PM · On: Surprised

You are doing a really good job with this story, its heartbreaking ....And I think Micheals kindness felt right. If he was the complete idiot he s often portrayed as neither Brian or Ben would love him as much as they do.

Reviewer: sarahyellow (Signed) · Date: January 17, 2014 09:50 PM · On: Surprised

Ah, so Justin's T cell count has gone down, and that was why he was so upset. That's got to be so scary, to hear a number like that and feel like you can't do anything to control it. I wonder if Ben's goign to get Justin to start eating tofu and doing yoga now, lol.

I guess I understand why Justin can't go back to Brian right away. He needs Brian to realize that he's not so... sunshiny anymore. I do hope that Brian get some chances for some hurt/comfort action soon though, even if they're not living together.

I think it would be funny if, when Brian undoubtedly gets upset about Justin moving in with his best friend instead of him, that he would comment sarcastically: "What is this: The Novotny Home for HIV?"--given that, you know, there would then be three people with HIV living there, and Brian would probably feel excluded.

Lastly, I have enjoyed your writing in every chapter, but at certain points (mainly the end) this one felt a little dialogue heavy to me. Just thought I'd add in one creativly-critical comment.

Great capter, can't wait for more!

Author's Response:

That you for your review.  And you're right about Brian and Ben's home, I planned on him making at least one snide comment about it.  :)

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: January 17, 2014 11:30 AM · On: Surprised

I'm impressed with the way Michael is dealing with things.  This sounds like the start of something positive in there relationship.  Hopefully they can get Brian to understand.

Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: January 17, 2014 09:00 AM · On: Surprised

I'm glad to see Michael's change of heart. It makes perfect sense for him to understand, and for Ben to offer his support.  I can see Justin's viewpoint about Brian taking over, but I hope he doesn't shut him out completely (I suspect you won't let that happen; Brian can be QUITE persistent!).

Thanks for the update.  Sad but poignant chapter.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

So I guess Justin's viral load is higher, or something like that, based on the results. He seems so sad and lonely, especially in this chapter. I can't wait to see what Brian does about getting him back this time.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2014 09:04 PM · On: Mothers

I'm kind of surprised that nobody tried to blame Brian for Justin's being positive.  I'm glad he understands what Justin is feeling and hope he can get Justin to come back.  Right now Justin is in pain, being by himself can not be good.

Reviewer: sarahyellow (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2014 11:26 AM · On: Mothers

I like imperfect characters, so angry, irrational, depressed and on-meds Justin is really floating my boat.

I actually like that Justin doesn't know EXACTLY how he got HIV. That's more realistic for a guy who was having lots of casual sex partners, anyways.

I know that to stay true to his character, Brian can't speak or outwardly be too lovey dovey, but I really do enjoy his internal dialogue that lets us know how much he really cares. And I really like the showere scene where he was helping Justin so carefully.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2014 08:35 AM · On: Breakfast

I like your explanation.  It makes sense.  I'm sure a lot of positive people don't know how they got that way.  I'm glad that Brian is insisting that he stay and that Mikey isn't being a complete ass.  Wonderful job.

Reviewer: Predec2 (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2014 06:38 AM · On: Breakfast

Nice to see Brian taking care of Justin. Still not too crazy about Michael's behavior - ugh!  You would think he would be more understanding in light of Ben's condition.  Glad you're all caught up on both sites now, so I can read this on here at the same time. Thanks again for posting on here; looking forward to the rest of this.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Reviewer: zsadistwhore (Signed) · Date: January 13, 2014 06:20 AM · On: Breakfast

I like that we don't know who infected Justin, mostly as I don't see it being important to the story. It also makes it more realistic in someways. I really like this so far but there is one bit that annoys me. Ben treats Justin's cut because he's already hiv+ positive and therefore can't be infected. That isn't exactly true. People who are hiv+ can be infected with a different strain of hiv.

Author's Response:

Thank you, I hadn't about though that. I was just thinking of a way for them to figure it out without words and give Ben and Justin a chance to connect. I'll keep that in mind for future reference.

Brian was uncharacteristically sweet in parts of this chapter, but not too sweet, I loved the part where Brian said that Justin belonged there, with him. And the end, with the missed you/love you love/fucking exchange; that was so sweet! Not sure if I dig Michael Finding out so soon though... Can't they keep it secret from anyone? Lol. Reviewer: sarahyellow (Signed) · Date: January 12, 2014 08:23 AM · On: Unexpected Guests

I love this idea for a fic! The idea of Justin working so hard and sacrificing so much to leave Brian (supposedly for the best), only to be found out by Brian, was so bittersweet. I thought the way that Brian found him again--being his emergency contact--was smart. You write the qaf guys true to character. And surprisingly, the interaction between Ben and Justin was incredibly sweet! I wanted to read that part just as much as the Brian-Justin parts, which is really saying something.
