However, when Brian presses Justin about why he doesn't date, Justin confesses to having a crush on "Joe," a man who doesn't know Justin exists, and Brian decides to help Justin get his man. What will Brian do when he realizes that he has more than friendly feelings toward Justin?

About this AU: This is a total AU in my opinion. It is set a few years in the future. It is canon up to the end of season four but then it goes on from there. There will be Brian with other men and Justin with other men but anyone who has read anything I’ve written will know that I believe it will be Brian and Justin forever. So hang in there through the rough moments. Feedback is appreciated. I am learning at this so please try to be constructive where you see room for improvement. I must warn you that it is angsty and sad but would it be a Mouse fic if it weren’t ?  Brian is a detective with the New York City police department. He gets a case concerning a wealthy art patron who has been murdered in his home. Brian must try and find the young man and bring him back to justice but things become complicated when he discovers that someone else is hunting young Taylor and they seem to want him dead. What happens when the hunted and the hunter finally meet and an instant attraction develops?
