This is a beautiful story, full of loss, regrets and sadness but also of love and hope. I didn't end up happy at the end, just relieved. I think perhaps the happiness was just starting and would grow in the years to come. A pretty amazing story.

I think my review got lost in the March 2016 data crash. I know I gave this an excellent review but can't recall what I said but suffice to say I really enjoyed this story - tension filled, emotional and full of angst. A great AU. Very sad to see I have now read all of the Mouse submissions, I truly hope to see more in the future.

I love how angry Brian got about Andy risking Justin's health. Protective Brian is one of my absolute favourites.

And yes, Lindsay, Justin IS a better choice than that douche, Paul.

My heart is breaking for Justin.

I really love this story, but I noticed that their last night in Paris is missing from the story. Is there any way to fix that or was it left out intentionally?

What an amazing story.  Very moving, I could barely get through the chapter when Andy was begging Justin to end it all.  A testament to your writing ability that you didn't become too graphic about what went in the 'Black Marketers' back room.  It almost made it worse to imagine it.  

this story was absolutely amazing. i do hope that you are officially persuing a career in writing because you have a true gift this story so filling from beginning to end and left an ere of completion with both the characters and the readers, well done :)

Hey, loving this story!  Just thought that I'd let you know that in the first sentence of Chapter 5, you start the sentence with "aul" and not "Paul."

It's great to see this treasure corrected and reposted, but it would be equally great to see a brief explanation posted along with it, so readers will know it's ready for a more-coherent revisit.  Thanks for posting it.

It feels like I missed something in this chapter.  Last chapter Justin was sleeping on Brian's shoulder travelling to the vineyard.  I assume Justin drempt a flashback to when he and Andy were together. Suddenly we jump to Brian joining his hosts excusing Justin as ill, but no explanation.  Then we end with the Boys meeting up agian in a cottage (presumably a guest house?) to find Justin with his sketches and the remains of an earlier "outburst".

I think we missed the arrival to the estate, and an "outburst" on the patio.  Where is Cynthia, Carrol and Mark?

Despite the missing parts, I do like how Brian held on to his priorities even when his hormones demanded he fcuk the young man among the vines.  I want Brian to always be Brian = horny predator and all, but I love him best when he says no to tempation.  :o)

Oh!  This piece was just lovely!  I couldn't put it down - I'm sorry I didn't leave a review on each chapter, but I was too riveted to stop.

I always believed Justin was capable of loving someone else, but I also always believed that even if he did, he and Brian would find their way back together.

Thank you for writing the fic I've been waiting for!  It was rich, heart-breaking and ultimately very uplifting.  I liked the style it was told in as well, with the flash-backs and the grief (on each side, really) to poignantly played out.  And thanks too, for keeping our canon-characters "in character" and creating new characters that were interesting rather than distracting.

Mouse, i really love your story. You build a wonderful story around Brian and justin, colourful and detailled.

And it´s really a shame, that parts of your story are apparantly missing, like some other reviews reported before.

Especially missing for me are the follwowin parts:
In Chapter 19, 2.paragraph, Frank and Philipp talk about their visit with B&J in the Cathedral Reims, but this part ist missing in chapter 18.

Chapter 22 ends a few hours before the kinnetik presentation, with a lot of open questions. Chapter 23 suddenly starts in Paris with B&J now together. What changed the place and the situation?

 

 

Just wanna say i love this story. And I never get tired of reading it over and over again. Thank you mouse for writting such a wonderful story. But I just wanted to say that i think their are parts missing from chapter 24. The best part i think....it was after they visit andy's grave and talking to andy's sister and they go to eat and brain ask justin to marry him. Having read the story at the old site, i know that piece is missing. Hopefully mouse or someone has the rest and will post it. Thanks!!

I agree that the story is great, but I belive that the chapters 11, 15 and 16 are not complete. A while ago, when the old MW was on this chapeters were way longer then this one. Maybe there is someone who have is saved on PC and can help.
