Gus’ lips rolled inward, a carbon copy of Brian’s signature contemplative look. “I just like…” he sighed again, more heavily this time. “I just wish I could forget about this for, like, an hour or something.” 

Brian made a small noise of realization that made Justin look toward him, and as soon as he registered the intention on his husband’s face, he moved closer to Brian and hissed, “No. Brian, you can’t.” 

Brian gave Justin his most charming smile and said, “Oh, but I can!”

A heartbroken Gus spends a weekend in New York with Brian and Justin. In an effort to help his son, Brian turns to a tried-and-true method.

An AU which popped into my head a few years back around St. Patrick's Day when I was listening to Tommy Fleming singing Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears.  (Which turned out to be ironic, because Brian doesn't actually enter the US through Ellis Island.)  It's set in the early 1900s.  Justin is the son of a wealthy NY merchant. Brian is a poor Irish immigrant.  Only the luck of the Irish could bring them together.

He was thought to be dead. Brian's discovery will change everything.

A boring Tuesday night forces our boys to stay in and find creative ways to spend their night.

Brian has been acting weird, Justin can't help but think the worst. Maybe that's why he's more than pleasantly surprised with the outcome of things at the end.

A new friend (thanks, Giotto!) pointed out that there are still people interested in Queer as Folk. I have 600 pages of this story typed up, the rest is still a manuscript - as in, handwritten. Actual pen, actual paper. The story itself is finished, it just needs typing and proof-reading. I think I'll have about 1,000 pages when I'm done.

I recently lost a lot of stuff due to a computer crash; so I decided to finally put this here, where it will hopefully be safe for a while. (I once did have the whole thing typed up. I'll do it one more time, but I really don't want to do that again after that!)

So. This story is my take on what happens when Justin returns from New York. Some places in Pittsburgh are my invention, others actually do exist, or rather, they existed at the time I wrote this. I used a lot of the characters we saw in the series, and I created a few more.

I'm not giving any warnings - if you watched QaF, you know what to expect. (I don't write explicit f/f, or f/m - the explicit m/m scenes all have Brian in them.) Hope you enjoy!

AU. Brian and Justin meet at Babylon for the first time, but inside. Brian owns Kinnetik and Babylon, all the characters are the same, and Justin goes to PIFA. Justin doesn't know any of them and didn't go to Liberty when he was in high school. Emmett is the manager of Babylon (cause I want him to be), and has an idea for a masquerade ball, inspired by Phantom of the Opera, which he and George saw in New York when they were dating. Brian and Justin may appear OOC, but given different circumstances, they would behave, act and feel differently. (Brief mentions of Justin/Other, but only plot).

Thanks to the brilliant Jackie Mag for her amazing banner! She always creates exactly what I picture in my head with little description. I had found the pic of the two men entwined some time ago, and once inspiration for this story hit, I had to incorporate this picture somehow.

Brian and Justin haven't met. Justin jobs at Woody's and Babylon and meets the famous Brian Kinney but says no to him. One fateful night, Brian has lost his job and is drinking at Woody's, he is too drunk to get home on his own, so a certain blond helps and things get out of hand

Maybe some of you remember this story but somehow I didn't like the beginning very much because Brian was just too whiny and everything.. I started once again with this story and I hope you'll like it ;)
