AU. Brian and Justin meet at Babylon for the first time, but inside. Brian owns Kinnetik and Babylon, all the characters are the same, and Justin goes to PIFA. Justin doesn't know any of them and didn't go to Liberty when he was in high school. Emmett is the manager of Babylon (cause I want him to be), and has an idea for a masquerade ball, inspired by Phantom of the Opera, which he and George saw in New York when they were dating. Brian and Justin may appear OOC, but given different circumstances, they would behave, act and feel differently. (Brief mentions of Justin/Other, but only plot).

Thanks to the brilliant Jackie Mag for her amazing banner! She always creates exactly what I picture in my head with little description. I had found the pic of the two men entwined some time ago, and once inspiration for this story hit, I had to incorporate this picture somehow.

It's a Brian & Justin story with overcoming obstacles for both characters.  It's my way of expanding the storyline between Brian's job offer and prom night events, as if someone from the producers team asked me if I wanted to write a special episode :)

All he wanted was tell Brian that he's leaving, no big deal. To some degree he has expected Brian to not take this well but this... this is beyond 'not well'.

Sam has always believed in angels and nothing anyone has said has ever convinced him otherwise. Dean has always wondered how his brother could be so sure, to speak as though he knew beyond a doubt that there are good forces in the world, that angels do exist especially with all the crap that they've dealt with on a daily basis. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Sam has a guardian angel he never told anyone about?

This may seem totally silly, but I was at a restaurant like this and this story immediately came to mind, to which my muse responded with “I don’t fucking think so” and a smirk… so here’s a goofy story for our boys at lunch. I did research for these types of places, and there is one in Pittsburgh, and I used it’s real name; just thought I’d mention that… you’re gonna have to read the story to know what type of place I’m talking about though. 

RPS. A day in the life of Randy, well, technically a night in the life of Randy. Takes place in the present and based on my own “what ifs.” Randy’s POV. “Need You Now,” by Lady Antebellum, didn’t inspire this story, but this song happened to come on the radio the moment I started typing this story and it seemed to fit so well that you can think of it as a prologue.

4/8/22  So. That author's note was written a long, long time ago. I wrote it with the best of intentions, I swear. But life happened, and for reasons I won't go into here, I couldn't bring myself to continue writing a story with this subject matter. But that little folder has lived on my desktop for all this time, and I have never forgotten where I left our boys. And so, one day a month or so ago, I opened it up and spent some time reminding myself just how much I love Brian and Justin and Queer As Folk. I still have reservations writing about cancer for 'entertainment'. I am no medical professional, nor have I personally experienced anything like what Brian is going to go through. But I've done more research for this than anything else I've ever done, and I've tried to treat it with the sensitivity and respect it deserves. Please forgive any inaccuracies.

I don't even know if anyone will give it a chance again, but I owe to those of you who trusted me and read it all those years ago (and to the boys) to keep my word and try to finish this beast. I hope you'll join me.

It is after midnight here so it is now August 19th.  Today is the 4th Anniversary of the day I posted my very first Brian/Justin fanfic, 'All Aboard the Love Train'.  As is my custom on this day, I have a brand new short story for all the wonderful folks who have supported me ever since I took that leap of faith and started writing.  This time I'm going back to my beginning and giving you a sequel to the original story.  This time I'm sending our boys to Europe instead of Chicago.  I hope you'll enjoy the mischief this wonderful couple get into.  I must offer my deepest thanks to a group of ladies who have made this journey for me the greatest adventure of my life.  I dedicate this story to Judy who became my beta as well as good friend...to Lori who provided the means for me to continue writing and become a dear personal friend...to Becky and Gerri for their support even before I began...and to dear sweet Sunny who also went from reader to wonderful friend.  There are so many more I could name for their cherished support, but I don't want to turn this dedication into a short story too.  LOL!  Let's just say that I truly appreciate each and every one of you.  A special thank you to my darling Granddaughter, Marika, for again providing such a great banner for my story.  I hope you will enjoy!  Much love, Grammy
