It is after midnight here so it is now August 19th. Today is the 4th Anniversary of the day I posted my very first Brian/Justin fanfic, 'All Aboard the Love Train'. As is my custom on this day, I have a brand new short story for all the wonderful folks who have supported me ever since I took that leap of faith and started writing. This time I'm going back to my beginning and giving you a sequel to the original story. This time I'm sending our boys to Europe instead of Chicago. I wrote this story in answer to a challenge by Beater101 on Fanfiction who wanted a story based on the song The Trial of Lancelot, by Heather Dale. The song may not be what I would typically listen to, nor is it a standard rock song; it’s kind of new agey and very soft. However, since it is quite literally based on the Trial of Lancelot, and I love the tale of King Arthur, I couldn’t help but read the lyrics and therefore be inspired to write a fan fiction based on the song. If you’re curious about the song itself, it’s on YouTube (song and lyrics). This was meant to be a quick story, with a brief intro, the song and a one paragraph conclusion. This is a What If story. What If Justin did not meet Brian during his Senior year. What if he was bashed for a different reason. Do you remember that one moment in the show when Justin wished he had died from the bashing...when he lost it and pushed his mother down? What if those suicidal thoughts went further, but a guardian angel steps in to give him a glimpse of what he will miss if he dies? Will it be enough for our young man to fight for his life?
