Summary (to the point): Luke is in an abusive relationship… Reid saves him.
Summary (elaborate): After two years of a 'nearly perfect' relationship with one of Oakdale's finest men in blue, Luke finds himself on the receiving end, much to his shock and dismay, of domestic violence. The first incident sends him to the ER where it is determined surgery is needed to address his injuries. Enter Dr. Reid Oliver who is brought in as a consult to rule out any significant head injury, thus making it safe for Luke to undergo anesthesia. It is their first meeting and there is an immediate attraction which they both silently acknowledge then file the information away for later. Reid has his own history of being involved with a man who thought they carried all the power in the relationship...a relationship that left Reid with permanent physical injuries. Now, he finds himself drawn to Luke and his situation. Luke stays with the boyfriend...out of fear...out of denial...out of a sense that he's protecting those he loves. He does everything he can to keep his man happy but, now that the devil has been released in this man, there is no going back. Things escalate resulting in the death of a long time Oakdale resident. It is this death that ultimately leads to a resolution in which two men embark on a journey in which they find family, they find love, they find healing and they find peace.

Brian has always hated the country.  And yet...

Written as part of the "Great Outdoors" challenge.  Takes place post-5x13.

Sequel to All I Ask

The story is now COMPLETE

The family reacts to Michael's actions

Gift Request: angst, hurt/comfort. Justin+Ben friendship. Ben comforting Justin after fighting with Brian or after something bad happened. No character death, no bittersweet endings. If Michael or lesbians are in it, very little of them, or stories that paint them in a negative light. Everything else is fair game.

AU that happens somewhere in Season 2.

Brian, his son, and Justin's best friend all have a secret they're sharing. What could it be?  Short sequel to "Love and Drama at the Sit-A-Spell."

Another St. Pat's Day drabble.

A St. Pat's Day drabble.

I'm sure that part of my fascination with the Brian Kinney character comes from his Irish roots.

As a child I was both terrified and fascinated when I saw the Disney movie "Darby O'Gill and the Leprechaun".

This is my take on the tale.  Shades of my fathers, forgive me.

This was written some years ago, but as it's still almost St Patrick's Day, it seemed like a good time to post it.

This is a sequel for Seven Minutes. You might want to read that first if you haven’t already. This story continues three months after Seven Minutes’ epilogue ended. This story has the same rules as Seven Minutes: fluff, cuddling and a guaranteed happy ending. For the plot, there will be seven more or less life changing moments in Brian and Justin’s life so look forward for those. Happy reading.

Predec2 nicely volunteered to make an amazing banner for this story. Thank you so much Kim!

This time last year I stumbled onto Midnight Whispers and this site became my new addiction. At first I just lurked, then I found the courage to review, and back in July I posted a story of my own. So what better way to celebrate the end of 2016 than submitting a new fic?  Happy 2017!

According to public opinion, Brian and Justin became acquainted beneath a lamp post in front of Babylon. But the truth is, and as quiet as it's kept, they were in and out of each other's lives on numerous occasions long before that fateful night. Enjoy!

Shout out to Kim (Predec2) for the absolutely amazing banner she created for me.  Thanks, Kim...you're the best!

***Featured Story for March 2017***

Brian is a Navy Seal who has never found love...until he meets a young, blond artist during a photo shoot for the military.  When Brian turns up missing, Justin finds a way to discover Brian's innermost feelings.  Will the two lovers be parted forever?

THIS STORY WAS CRAFTED BY ACACIA AND ELSA ROSE - BRYANT MACLAGAN

Justin wants to come out to his father, but somehow he fails.

The day of Justin and Brian's wedding doesn't go according to plan. This story stays with the canon until the day before the wedding.

This story is the sequel to, "To Be, Or Not To Be", and situations here will refer heavily back to it.  Gus is now a teenager, with all the usual teenage growing pains, and some not so usual.  There are other family problems with his parents that will come to light, but carry consequences.  But when Gus starts making decisions and choices for himself, one set of parents fights against it, while the other encourages him.  Brian and Justin, too, will face their own dilemmas, some of which are unalterable.

This is a kind of dark story. Justin leaves Brian, and only leaves a book of matches in their house. This idea was from Sammy Kershaw's song Matches. One-shot. Warning death.

Why Justin trusted Brian from the first moment they met under that street lamp, and why Brian really didn’t want him to go away.

Many thanks to Predec2 for her beautiful Banner and amazing beta-work.

Brian left after Justin was bashed. One day Justin's out to lunch with the man in his life, when he runs into a familiar face. It's a one-shot that I wrote a few weeks ago.

Written for the QAF Holiday Gift Exchange

Another "Brian and Justin reunite after the New York hiatus" tale because I never get tired of reading them...not especially original, but hopefully loving and affirming. The story is cross-posted at Archive Of Our Own, Kinnetik Dreams, and Midnight Whispers.

Brian has to live up to his promise to his son to go on a double date.

* STORY NOW COMPLETE *

The seventh part of Ask and You Shall Get series. Brian shows Justin a new kink, by showing him how arousing it is to have a full bladder. BDSM themed. Can be read as a stand-alone.

Summary:  Brian makes a mental note to inform every one of those half-wit baristas what his name is tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day!  And what better way to return after three years absence than to offer you a romantic love story, featuring our beloved Brian and Justin.  I really hope you will enjoy it.  I would like to dedicate this story to three people in particular for helping me to return to fanfic writing.  To Judy, my beta, for her enduring support and friendship.  To Kim, for creating this beautiful banner for my story, and for providing the help I needed to continue my work.  And to Bob, simply for being there whenever he is needed.  I would also like to thank all my readers who have always made me feel so good about my work.

Michael gets it in his head, it's finally time for him and Brian to be together

Justin needs and wants to fulfill his artistic integrity without setting Brian off. Is it even possible?

Post 513, Brian writes Justin a poem.

Brian and Justin meet in a different way. Neither man is looking for a relationship, but fate has other ideas.

***Featured Story for February 2017***

Brian has a unique approach to Valentine's Day, but I don't think Justin will mind.  One-shot for the holiday.

Justin is a young man, growing up in the lap of luxury through circumstances not of his own.  He has everything he could ever want...except the one thing he wants the most. Brian is an ad executive, visiting NYC to seal a lucrative deal. What happens one day when their two worlds come together in a unique way?  Is it the book's cover that matters...or the book itself? *THIS STORY IS NOW COMPLETE!*

The name 'Nathan Ash' was only one piece of the damaged puzzle that made up his life.

Sequel to Whispers are as Loud as a Shout...Lindsay and Michael combine forces...big mistake...huge!

Brian has been acting weird, Justin can't help but think the worst. Maybe that's why he's more than pleasantly surprised with the outcome of things at the end.

The morning after Brian relents to eating the chicken soup, him and Justin have a discussion.

Brian asks Justin to be his date at an exclusive dinner club that gives awards for the best looking couple.

The mind may forget but the heart always remember.

Thanks to the amazing Predec2 for the beautiful banner.

Post S3.  Brian decides to start an experiment.

In a desperate bid to keep his younger partner satisfied, Brian turns to one of the wonder drugs for men. How does it affect Brian? What happens when Justin finds out?

What happens when Michael's machinations finally leave him all alone?

Brian is a youth minister with strong convictions when he meets Justin his world is turned upside down.

Warnings: Brian OOC, Spiritual abuse, child abuse, violence, references to suicide,  and also references to sexual abuse.

Brian's little girl announces she is getting married. When Brian meets her soon to be father in-law, Justin, both of their lives are mystically changed forever. But have they met before?

The sixth part of Ask and You Shall Get series. Brian takes Justin to a private party. They both learn the importance of communication in their new relationship. BDSM themed. Can be read as a stand-alone.

After Justin moved to New York in 513, he cut off all ties with his family in Pittsburgh. What happens now, five years later, when he comes into contact with Brian and tells him the reason he left?

That extreme rarity - Brian Kinney does Valentine's Day.  Brian Kinney style, of course.

Warning!!!!! This fic involves major character death. It's sad. Death is a reality in this fic. There are no "oh, it's all a dream" reversions at the end.

That said, from my perspective, it's still got kind of a happy ending. Or at least a ridiculously romantic one. *g*

4th in the Justin!Rage series.   Another Christmas story.  Follows on directly from Christmas Lights.

Christmas in the Justin!Rage universe.  Lindsay tries to keep Brian and Gus apart at Christmas. Justin isn't having that.

Justin gives himself a birthday present.  Post S3- Pre S4.

Joan Kinney dies just before a very special Christmas. How will this affect Brian and Justin's Christmas plans?

It's Christmas and Brian should be with Gus in Toronto. But Justin has been hurt. How will Brian manage to be in two places at once?

Season 3. Post B/J reunion, but before Brian is fired from Vanguard. Brian takes Justin on a trip to make amends.

Brian and Justin meet by accident on a snowy New Year’s Eve. Written in the slapstick humor of the 60s. Think Rock Hudson and Doris Day…

The beautiful banner was made by Predec2, with all my thanks.

Written for Emynn as part of the 2016 Queer as Folk Holyday Gift Exchange.

Brian reveals a dark secret about his past to Justin...

Wrtten for the QaF giftxchange 2017.

GIFT REQUEST: Not really fussy about the genre as long as it's BJ, the characters are recognizable and they have a happy ending. Would like it to be Christmas themed, but don't have any particular storyline in mind. Sorry it's so vague, but really any bj fic where they wind up together is fine with me.
NOTE: I haven't written QaF in a while, but I make sure to always do this exchange. Wren, I did the best I can, and I hope you like it. Also, this was betaed by the wonderful predec2.

Brian is going through the most ridiculous midlife crisis, effectively making both him and Justin frustrated on a whole new level. With a little help from their friends, they solve the problem.

A new friend (thanks, Giotto!) pointed out that there are still people interested in Queer as Folk. I have 600 pages of this story typed up, the rest is still a manuscript - as in, handwritten. Actual pen, actual paper. The story itself is finished, it just needs typing and proof-reading. I think I'll have about 1,000 pages when I'm done.

I recently lost a lot of stuff due to a computer crash; so I decided to finally put this here, where it will hopefully be safe for a while. (I once did have the whole thing typed up. I'll do it one more time, but I really don't want to do that again after that!)

So. This story is my take on what happens when Justin returns from New York. Some places in Pittsburgh are my invention, others actually do exist, or rather, they existed at the time I wrote this. I used a lot of the characters we saw in the series, and I created a few more.

I'm not giving any warnings - if you watched QaF, you know what to expect. (I don't write explicit f/f, or f/m - the explicit m/m scenes all have Brian in them.) Hope you enjoy!

Banner by Janet - so beautiful, thank you!

Justin and Brian are both teachers at a private high school. What happens when they meet a new student who is more than she appears?

The letters Brian and Justin write to each other while Justin is in New York. A sort of follow up to my story Daylight.

The fifth part of Ask and You Shall Get series. Brian has a present for Justin to wear during a presentation at Vanguard. They join Michael and Ben for happy hour drinks and a game of pool. BDSM themed. Can be read as a stand-alone.

Sometimes Hunter felt like he was dead, sent to some version of Hell for stealing, for tricking, for ditching school, or for just being born. But his heart beating in his chest, sometimes at a slow and steady beat, sometimes at a rapid and panicked pace...It was that alone that made him realize he wasn't in Hell after all. This city, as shitty as it was to him, was his reality.

Justin and Daphne are on a road trip when they stop at the Grand Hotel. Little does Justin know that his past is about to come back to haunt him. Brian/ Justin M/M slash This story was written as a collaboration with my friend Kris and at the time my pen name was Dollparts.

Due to this being a ghost story, some of our beloved characters may not be alive in the physical plane. But all beloved characters will be very much a part of this story and active, even if they are a ghost.

This is a short story about Brian visiting Gus in Canada, on his 6th Birthday.

At thirty-one, Justin Taylor comes back to his hometown after having been gone for eight years. But then he runs into his first love, Brian Kinney, and everything is going to change...

Lindsey and Mels reaction to Gus's question.

***Featured Story for December 2016***

It is Justin's first Christmas away from the Pitts and Brian and neither man is looking forward to the holidays.  But one man is all ready to grant them their dearest Christmas wish...if all goes as planned.   I am dedicating this story to my friend Sherry for her birthday and as a special Christmas gift.

This story includes somewhat shy teenage Justin who is definitely not experienced and teenage Brian who just likes Justin way too much and enjoys being all fluffy with him. I don’t think this story has an actual plot other than the boys are not together in the beginning and things process from there in an interesting, not really cliché way. This story is full of more or less fluffy scenes after fluffy scenes. Plus this story has loads of cuddling mostly initiated by Brian. If that is not your thing, do not go further. And keep in mind that because this story basically has no plot do not expect any huge dramatic events or plot twists.

THIS STORY IS NOW COMPLETE

Brian has a new client. He has to make them new product packages. He did not expect it to end like this.

Yeah, this is crack. This is an explanation why everybody wants Brian Kinney and why Justin is the only one Brian keeps taking home. There might be some sort of mythology involved in this I think.

After a lifetime of crime and only each other could former foster kids Justin and Daphne change their ways? But most importantly do they even want to? Could they leave their fast and furious lives for the simple and domestic, when they're both borderline psychopaths? And what does billionaire Brian A. Kinney have to do with all of this?

Thank You

This is one of those what if stories from s1 after Justin was kicked out from his home.

Brian loses a bet and has to take the gang to an expensive restaurant but the boys think a fancy dinner is not enough.

One Sunday morning Brian decides to give Justin something.

A small series of segments, concerning a "What if" situation.  This is an example of an Alternate Universe story, where events varied with startling consequences and characters followed a different path from the original plot

Dating from that infamous day in a Theed power station, paths diverge, promises are broken, hearts are betrayed; then fate - and deliberate mischief - step in, and destiny thwarted takes its pound of flesh.

Sequel to "The Greatest Love" - the rest of the story
