The request was from sfscarlet and was for:
Fic angst, AU, canon-compliant, hurt/comfort, humor Brian/ Justin- / Gus- Gus is an adult- time could be holiday or family reunion or just visiting B/J- writer's choice. Gus reminiscing about growing up with B/J- Funny stories, harrowing tales, first times, tales about trips they made- anything the writer chooses. Would love at least 2-3 stories ( tales) that Gus shares. B/J could disagree with his memories and they could tell their version- if writer chooses. ( not necessary- just choice of writer)

This is the result. It's set in 2029. I think of this as being loosely Homecoming future, but all that anyone needs to know is that Brian and Justin have been living together in Pittsburgh in a riverside house since Justin's return from New York. Justin and Daphne have a daughter – Dani. Brian, Justin, and Daphne are co-parents, an arrangement which works well for them all. Dani is 16, Gus is 29.

Summary:

The slave trade is alive and well in our AU society.  The community is mostly split half and half on the issue; half of society is for slavery and half is against.  However, Brian Kinney had never put much thought to the subject, despite the fact that his best friend, Michael, and Michael's mother, Deb, were both major players in CAST, a group against the sexual slavery of men and women.  But this all changes when Brian accompanies Michael to a slave auction, where he is introduced to a beautiful 18 year old slave named Justin, just now coming up for bid.  Born a free man, Justin's life was turned upside down when his father sold him into slavery at the tender age of 15, only three years before he was to be sold.  Chaos ensues.

This is a conceptual story tracing the development of the B/J relationship, with a huge focus on their  physical interactions, the meaning of these and the progression of their physical and emotional intimacy through a vareity of scenarios, some of which follow canon closely and none of which blatantly contradict canon.

This story is what came to me last year when the QAF convention was happening in Germany :)

If you over look the fact that Randy plays Justin on the show you should like this story. I hope you do anyway.

Justin worked really hard to earn the money that paid for his
visit to Cologne, Germany, to attend a convention being held there,
featuring the stars of his fave TV series “Queer As Folk”.

His best friend Daphne accompanies him.

This was going to be very memorable, at
least for one Justin Taylor.
