Soory I am late with this review. I thought my new job would be a little less hectic---was I wrong.  Redoing files and reworking the computer files.  Very taxing.  Thought I was good at multi-tasking having second thoughts on that one.  All will be well when this beast is finished.  I loved timid Justin and this cute scene on the porch.  I guess they have to meet in the middle somewhere.  Brian needs to be a lot less agressive and Justin needs to step it up a tad.  I'm sure this is in the future for these two.  Jared is a snake in the grass.  Good chapter.

great chapter - I love that Justin knows what happened...or didnt happen - and watching him struggle with yearning while holding true to being unwillinging to be not only Brian's second choice - but more importantly...to be just another means to an end - love it!

Justin needs to know that it is him that Brian wants - not just the most convenient way to get his needs met

and the stronger Justin is - the more Brian is denied what he is just starting to realize he wants...the more Brian will become aware that he wants something with this boy that he never even thought possible before - and he is the one who won't be able to resist...falling in love that is

can't wait to see the twists and turns you take us on before we get there though...you have me hooked!

Hi, Charle - Thank you for your lovely comments, my friend!  I'm glad you're enjoying the progression of the story here, and I agree.  I meant all along for the two boys' relationship to grow slowly before they become lovers.  I want them to develop as friends first, despite their obvious, deep attraction to each other. Oh good, Brian is going to have to really do some work to get a little more of what he now is going to crave. I know it's too much to ask for a horrible accident to happen to Jared, heck I'd even be willing to let him be offered a job restoring wrecked old cars for some TV show far far far away. Anything to get him out of Justin's world. I'm also thinking it's time for Craig to get hit by one of the tragic farming accidents, you know they kind, the tractor roll over driver pinned, arm severed and blood loss leading to death before he's found...very common in farming communities. Then Vic can take over running the farm. Jen and her honey will become a small business sensation, Horse Apple Honey and sweep the nation. Oh, I do think Brian needs to stop smoking, much to dangerous around the horse barn and you know he's eventually going to end up making the hay fly there with Justin. I do not want to see a barn fire. Have Brian's parents been checking in on him and caring even a tiny bit on his well being? I don't know what I would do with out your stories to get so caught up in, they give me a reason to go on living. I hope your trip is fun and exciting with good food.- NO MUSHROOMS

Aw, Lori, I'm not even sure where to being with a response to this - LOL!  You really should go into writing comedy - you are a HOOT!  So much packed into those comments.  You certainly come up with creative ideas on what to do with the villians in this story - ha!  I'm glad you agreed with me not letting Justin just cave in like some virginal schoolboy.  I do enjoy making Brian work for it just a bit - he did get a bit of a consolation prize, though, with the kiss.

Craig is certainly not portrayed as a sympathetic character here, is he?  And Jared isn't far behind.  There's still some hope, though, for Brian's uncle - I'm working on him.  But Brian is going to discover something in the next chapter that won't exactly endear himself to him, though. Sigh...he'll take a little more to get in the same camp as his nephew.  Anyway, thank you for all those comments - I think Bob should give you a blue ribbon for the creativity of your reviews!  *Hugs*  ~Kim
