Alex?  That definitely adds – I don’t know what -- to

this story.  I have to wonder where we are going with

him.  I must admit, that a little diversion from the anger

and hate of Turner,  Stewart, Stockwell, Craig is nice .  I

did enjoy the conversation where Brian told Justin about

Alex.  Like Justin, I too am just a little skeptical of Alex’s

story, but I agree, it really doesn’t matter much (at this

point).  I too am not at all surprised what a kind and

caring man Brian is.

Will Debbie get a new ‘lost boy’?

Will Gus get an older brother?

Will Fin and Tony get married and raise a kid (Alex?).

And I can think of a ten other possibilities, which of

course no reply from you expected.  As always, let the

story unfold.  Of course, Finn is still running for

Governor, I haven’t forgotten.

     Thanks for the chapter.

Author's Response:

Hi, David!  So happy to see you still reading this story! Thank you for the insightful comments, my friend.  Yes, there is a lot still to tell here; I am gradually moving the action more toward the Pitts and Harrisburg to delve a little more into some of the other subplots running through the story.  And Alex will be a surprise in some ways as well.:)  Thank you for the comments; they are always so thought provoking.  I hope you continue to enjoy Fin's race for governor; I think he has a legitimate competitor now.  This is up next for update, so it shouldn't be too long now.  Thank you again for all your support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

So glad to find you here as well! Love this story and have really missed reading it. RL does get in the way but I am trying to find a little more "me" time for reading before everything else makes Val a wornout dull girl! Val

Author's Response:

Hi, Val!  So GREAT to see you over here, too, my friend.:)  I certainly know about RL!  I do hope in the future you will be gifted with more extra time for more enjoyable pursuits.:)

Thank you for honoring me with what little spare time you DO have by reading this latest chapter and leaving me feedback; I am very grateful for your support.  I promise to get this updated again very soon.  Take care.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Aaggrrr why don't you show us ... Kim !!

I think Brian and Justin are becoming parents of a boy named Alex.

Thanks for this very very very long chapter, love it.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Lol!  As Obi-Wan's mentor used to say, Patience, Padawan - ha!  You might be a little surprised with where I go with Alex - I have to have SOME surprises here and there!  I'm glad you had a chance to read this rather long chapter, my friend; there are so many new - and talented - writers spewing out stories over here that mine pretty much got pushed to the second page in no time, so I'm glad you rooted it out.:)

I'm working on the next part of "Parent Trap" right now; and yes, I know I've been saying that for a couple of days now, but I DO have about 10,600 words of it written with more to go!  So it's a good thing I broke it up...I'll have it posted very soon, though.:)  Thanks again for all the kind words, Marny - I'll expect another 'happy dance' out of you hopefully in the near future - LOL!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hmmm, so Brian is taken with this kid. I think I know where this is going. Is Alex going to be Brian and Justin's Hunter?

And Stockwell is, was and always will be a homophobic ass!

Author's Response:

Yes, he's the man we all LOVE to hate!  Craig's involvement will come out as well, which will greatly hurt Justin.  He will definitely need Brian's love and support, as well as that of Fin and Tony, to get through it.  The man is still his father, so it will still affect him, despite their estrangement.  There will be some surprises regarding Alex yet, too, so I hope you'll stay tuned.  Thank you, Megan, for reading my stories and especially for the comments; there have been so many new (good) writers come on here lately that I especially cherish those readers who stick by me.  I'm sending a *big hug* to you, my friend.  ~Kim

Story is progressing nicely.  Maybe now Brian sees why Michael took in Hunter.  Love the scenes with B & J.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend - thanks as always for the comments and for reading - been a little slow review wise for this chapter.:  So I appreciate you taking the time to leave me feedback.:)

I'm working on the next chapter of "Parent Trap."  May post the first part later today if my beta has time to look it over for me.  Thanks again for reading!:)  ~Kim

What a dork--can't even spell my name right.  boo hoo!!

Hey girl, what an interesting chapter, so much in it.  loved it.  Nonie hadn't read this story soooo she saw the update and went back and read it from the beginning. Needless to say she was talking about it for an hour.  I told her she should have read wedding present first so she would understand the premise.  She said she thinks it stands alone, but she will read wedding present soon.  I think Alex is an interesting addition.  Wonder where this will go.  Guess we will just hasve to wait and see.  Things are progressing here finally got all the t's crossed and i's dotted.  Had a bunch of paperwork to fill out and more physical checkups to go through.  I guess it's standard practice here before one starts work. The powers that be want me later in the year to teach some up and coming newbies details of or work.  This should be interesting as i have done some in the past.  I guess someone told them.  I wonder who that was.  I wanted to start work Monday, but had all this paperwork and crap to do first-so now it will be next Monday.  I have itchy feet and want to get started. BB started yesterday.  H e came over last night to fill me in on all the pertinent stuff.  He feels he will like it as he has met some friends there.  Ihave to go shopping now to get new perky scrubs to wear.  I have to be fashionable now I'm in the "in crowd". hee hee!! LOL

Author's Response:

LOL!  Love your running commentary on the new job, lindc!  I'm so glad that things are moving along for you and Brian.  Sounds like Lee really misses you guys, but he mentioned maybe doing some Skyping and I'm sure knowing all of you, you will all keep in touch somehow.  You know I wish you all the best!

I'm glad, also, that Nonie is checking this story out, too; it would make more sense to read "Wedding Present" first to get some of the background and a better feel especially for Tony and Fin, but I suppose with the synopsis I gave at the beginning that as she said it could be read by itself.  I'm happy that she's enjoying it.  Knowing you, I have a feeling that once you start working at the new place there might be some new 'peeps' joining the fold, too.:)  I would love that as you know.:)

Thanks again for all the support; when things are quiet around here, it is encouragement from readers such as you, Lee, and Brian, along with the other faithful ones, that keep me going.  Let me know how everything's going!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Yay, a new chapter! And packed with LOTS of information. I'm glad Alex, the street urchin, made an appearance again. Can't wait to read your resolution there (no, I haven't forgotten what you and I discussed. I'm just anxious to READ it).

Great chapter all in all!

Cheers,

Vin

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend!  So great to hear from you.:)  I think I'm finally getting back on a regular update schedule now that the con has wound down.  But what a wonderful experience!  And LOVE all the photos and vids that have cropped up as a result.  Something tells me that I will show up a lot on the official DVD, too, because I was one of the ones in the front row and that cameraman kept sticking that camera in my face - ugh!  HATE having my picture taken!  (Except with Randy - I make an exception in that case.:))

Thank you as always for reading the latest chapter and for the comments; seems there are so many great stories and new authors popping up on here lately (maybe because fanfic.net's issuing their threat to take so many of them down again?) that it's hard to get noticed somewhat.  (You'll have to excuse me; I'm in one of my 'pity-party' moods again, I guess - LOL!).  So I thank you for taking the time to leave me your thoughts.:)

I am working on the next chapter to your favorite story, BTW, and I think the brisket is definitely about ready to make an appearance - ha!  Oh, and there's rumors swirling around of another Randy play in New Jersey...We'll have to make plans to go together if that happens, okay?  Would LOVE to see you again!  Take care.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

WELL GUESS WHO IT IS.  I JUST GOT HOME FROM WORK, DAYS NOW. THANK GOD.  THOUGHT I'D GET CAUGHT UP ON MY READING AS I HAD A COUPLE HOURS OF QUIET TIME.  IT IS QUITE WARM AND HAPPY HERE.  I AM A FREAK I GUESS AS I LOVE HOT STICKY WEATHER.  WE HAVE RENTED A NICE CONDO-SMALL AND CLOSE TO OUR WORK.  WE HAVEN'T TIED THE KNOT YET-MAYBE LATER THIS YEAR-UP IN THE AIR STILL.  WE ARE HAPPY WITH EACH OTHER THAT'S THE MAIN PRIORITY AS OF NOW.  I MISS THE PEEPS.  I TALK TO LINDC AND BRIAN QUITE OFTEN.  IT'S HARD BEING SO FAR AWAY, I JUST HAVE TO GET OVER THE DISTANCE SOMEHOW.  THEY ARE SO FREAKING FAR AWAY.  WE ARE THINKING OF GETTIN SKYPE SOMETIME SOON.  I THINK THAT MIGHT HELP US ALL AS WE ARE HAVING SEPARATION ISSUES AS WE WERE TOGETHER FOR A LONG TIME.  WE HAVE BECOME A CLOSE KNIT FAMILY.. ON TO YOU-I GUESS YOU HAD QUITE A WONDERFUL TIME IN GERMANY FROM YOUR REMARKS.  THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A BLAST.  I REALLY LOVED THIS CHAPTER.  NOW MAYBE ALL THE CULPRITS WILL BE DRAGGED OUT OF THE WOODWORK.  I'M GLAD FIN IS OK, AM WONDERING IF THERE ARE ANY MORE THREATS TO ANYONE ON THE HORIZON.  THIS ALEX PERSON IS INTERESTING..A HUNTER SEQUEL WITH A TWIST MAYBE.  HE MAY HELP BRIAN WITH HIS DEMONS BY HELPING HIM.. I HOPE JUSTIN IS ON BOARD WITH THIS AS WE WILL BE SEEING ALEX FOR A LONG TIME TO COME-CLOTHES-LIVING WITH JUSTIN AND BRIAN-MEETING THE FAMILY AND BEING INTEGRATED WITH THEM.  ANOTHER LOST BOY FOR DEBBIE.  OH YES I CAN SEE HOW THIS WILL PLAY OUT.  HE WILL BECOME AN INTEGRAL SUB PLOT HUH.  JUST THOUGHT I'D DROP A REVIEW AND SAY HI AND I'M GOOD LUV 2 U!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sweetheart!  I'm so glad to hear from you and to know that you are doing well!  I bet it's just beautiful down there.  And I'm so glad to hear that you are happy, but I can imagine how different things must be now.  You, Brian and Lindc were together for so long it must be hard not to see them all the time.  I actually did Skype with a friend of mine from Australia a few months ago - I could hear her amazingly well, so I would recommend giving it a try...You could at least see each other and talk to each other at the same time.:)

I'm sure things will settle down for you and your fiance and you will soon feel more at ease.  Whoever your new employer is, they are quite lucky to have you, my friend!  Take good care of the "Lucky Devil" and don't get too much sand in him - ha!  Please try to stay in touch when you can, but I know you have more important priorities in your life.  I do carry your support and encouragement  with me in my heart always, no matter what happens, and you know I wish you and your fiance the very best of happiness, my friend.  I'm sending you my love, too.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

wow - thanks for all the hard work - I love long chapters! Especially when they are as awesome as this one.

I am having a blast with Brian and Fin - I find this pairing especially interesting and hope we get to see more of the inner workings as they develop their relationship. Hate to think of introducing any more hardship to my beloved brunette, but I think it would be captivating to see Brian reach a point where he reached out and admitted that he needed his 'dad'.

And...I absolutely love the homeless boy angle - another brilliant way to get inside Brian's mind at the same time telling yet another fascinating story we haven't heard before. You never cease to amaze me!

Now we just have to hope that Brian won't be stretched too thin when Justin needs him to pick up the pieces once he learns of Craig's ultimate betrayal.

This story never gets old - I said so long ago that there is so much more to tell, and here we are many chapters later and that has not changed - there are so many facets to it - and I can't wait to see it all play out.

so glad you are back - you were missed!

loving life,

Charle

Author's Response:

Aww....thanks, Charle, for the welcome back!  With so many authors posting such wonderful stories lately, mine got pushed down to the end of the page soond after I posted it - ack!  So I'm glad you found it and read the latest chapter.:)  Yes, there is a lot going on here; sometimes I feel like I'm writing a soap opera to replace all the ones being cancelled on the tube!  Hm....I just thought of another plot bunny - how about a QAF version of "Dallas" with Brian as JR and Justin as Bobby? - ha!

Okay, I digress....where was I?  Oh, yeah - the story.:)  Craig's duplcity will be discovered and it will hurt Justin all over again.  But I think that's part of this story - how Justin has learned to rely on his REAL family - Brian, Gus, his mother, and all his friends, and not just somewhere who he heppens to share his genes with.  And I do love not only comparing Justin and Tony and seeing them as friends, but I am enjoying writing about the burgeoning relationship between Fin and Brian.  So much to tell here!!  I am so glad that you are still following along with it, my friend.  And I thank you for the ongoing support.  I'm sending a big hug back your way.  ~Kim

I LOVE this new development! It seems ....so  familiar somehow.... (wink) Of course your version is of course so much more elaborately well done Looking forward to more!!

Author's Response:

Thanks, my friend - glad you were able to plow through that long chapter!  I am now off to a twins' scheming for their fathers' dinner....Poor Justin - ha!  Thanks again - *Hugs*  ~Kim

I don't know how you do it.  You make me love Brian Kinney more and more with every chapter of every story you write.  DAMN!

They're all having a tough time dealing with everything, and it's only the beginning.  Like you've said in previous replies to my comments, when it comes out that Craig is a part of it (and I'm guessing that's coming soon), Justin is going to be devastated.  I'm glad he has Brian.

As for the scene in the diner, I kind of agree with Justin.  Any other time, Deb would have been on the phone, demanding they take her call no matter where they were.  She should have let them know.  It probably wouldn't have changed the way things happened, but at least it would have given them a head's up.  I love Deb, but sometimes I do think she needs to be the recipient of one of those head slaps she's famous for!

And I'm getting the feeling that Brian and Justin are about to follow in the steps of Ben and Michael.  They're going to be great rold models for Alex.

Another great chapter.  Now that I'm caught up I'll just have to wait for you to write the next one! LOL  Hoping to start on Payback tonight if I get a chance.

Nita

Author's Response:

Hi, Nita!  What lovely comments; thank you so much!  I'm glad to finally get this one updated - at least it was a nice, long one.:)  Yes, there's still a lot to cover in this story and Justin will be hurt even more when he finds out what his father has been doing.  No matter how indifferent he might try to act, each time his father rejects him it drives the symbolic knife deeper into his heart.

As far head slaps, that reminds me of one of the funniest moments at the con.  On Sunday morning, the actors were up on stage for photo shoots and at one point Sharon reached over to hug Hal, and then gave him a couple of stage "Mikey slaps" that were just hysterical.  I got a kick out of watching the actors interacting up there with each other; you could see the genuine affection between them.  I do hope they give us an encore at some point (with Gale there, of course!).  Maybe if they stage it in the US that might help, but I would probably go wherever just to see them again.:)

Thanks again for the feedback, Nita!  I hope you enjoy "Payback!"  *Hugs*  ~Kim
