Doing a 'happy dance'. I always love your updates. Looking forward to see how you resolve the 'Alex and baby' situation but am sad at the same time as this wonderful story is nearly finished.

love it! I think raising Alex would be so healing for Brian. I hope they still have their baby though. I really have enjoyed this and its prequel and am so sad to read its almost over. Hopefully there will be some lovely oneshots to come?

Thank you for letting me know that. As for other stories, I do have several that are in the beginning stages, but I'm trying hard not to post them until I'm finished. I just feel too guilty about having to wait longer than most authors seem to do before I can update them, but I AM doing up[dates as fast as I can. I just feel bad, though, that I can't do it any faster, so if I wait until I have one either done or mainly done it might be better for everyone.

I think Brian's right that going from 0 kids to 2 kids is a LOT to adjust to. I love it that they're so open an honest with each other now.

Author's Response: Hi, dear friend! Yes, I agree. Brian has done some changing over the years, and definitely loves his son, but this would be a huge adjustment for him. Hopefully in the coming months, Alex's continued presence will serve to ease his concerns somewhat.

Author's Response: Hi, Sweetheart! As always, I'm so happy whenever I hear from you.;) You sound like you are really doing well. I am so delighted to hear that. I remember how exciting it was to save for a new place of my own, and I'm sure you are feeling much the same way.;) And yes, normally I would have the summers off, but unfortunately it looks like I am losing my teaching job due to low enrollment, and am now having to work this summer as an admin asst for the school. Looks like it will be permanent, so I will no longer have summers off, but at least it's still a job. It will make my updating more difficult, though, as I was hoping to have some extra time. But I WILL get it done.;)
As for the story, you are right about Alex. She has developed a tough shell on the outside, mainly because she had to, but inside she is still an uncertain, vulnerable, little girl who needs love. I think the boys will be just the right antidote for her, along with some idol worshiping from Gus.;)
I do wish you lots of luck with your hunt for a new place! I know you can do it.;) Let me know what happens. I think about you and lindc and the others quite often, and don't know what I would do without your support. I hope no matter what happens in the future, you and her will find a way to keep in touch. I'm glad Alex was found so quickly. And that they had a good talk. Poor girl, she want a family so badly. Brian explaining about his past. Hope Justin's dream for having a baby will not take long. Maybe a year in delay. Alrx can help as a big sister.

Kim this was an awesome chapter. I love the way they want to help Alex although I do hope they get to have a little baby of their own. I know I have said this before but if you ever publish any of your work this should definitely be one of the things you publish. I would pay to read this story all over again. Can I be Alex and live at Britan even with some of the bad there is so much good that I Want to be Alex. I hope they adopt her but I also want Justin to have his dream of a baby fulfilled sooner rather than later. I hope those last few chapter come quick and that you have plans for another sequel cause you know this can't really end....

I promise that both of these issues will be addressed and resolved, along with Tony & Fin's wedding, before I am done. After that, I think I will be concentrating on a sequel to Paper Hearts Killer (assuming I continue to post after these two are finished). Who knows, though? I love Fin and Tony's characters now, in addition to B & J, so if I can think of a good reason for a sequel, I would certainly consider it.:)

Well, Alex's adoption seems to have been put on hold for the time being. Somehow I know it will be a reality. But Justin doesn't need to put his wishes on the back burner. #1 - if they try for a surrogate it could take up to a year and a half. #2 - Alex could prove to be a help with a baby. It is sometimes hard to believe that she is only 11.

You have a point about the surrogate, and the time frame. I just think Brian needs to be a little more certain of what will happen with Alex first, and he thinks they should concentrate on making a decision regarding her before the other question is answered. But the 'baby' issue will be resolved before I'm done. :)

Good chapter, glad she was found and the subsequent talk they all had. That being said, I really think Brian needs to get over not being able to handle two more children. Jus needs to have the infant he has always wanted.lol
