Hi, Kim! I recently came back from my vacation and I was excited to see two new chapters of this amazing story!
I have forgiven Jared completely. Brian still hasn’t, though, it’s obvious he still senses some danger from him. His feelings for Justin has made him overprotective – that’s so sweet, I love moments like that. I love that he feels the need to be wary of Jared.
I love how Craig handled the situation, it’s clear he still loves his son a lot, even if he is angry at him.
Wow… I didn’t see it coming, or I don’t remember something. The ending of the chapter is incredibly intense! Thank God there is another chapter waiting for me already, or I’d die from frustration. Great chapter, Kim.
Author's Response: Hi, Katrin! First of all, welcome back! I hope you have a wonderful vacation. :) As always, I'm grateful to you for reading and reviewing, my friend, and I'm happy you liked this chapter. The ending was pretty intense, but at least I think the boys are finally going to be able to put all this behind them, and concentrate on other matters now.
Thank you again for always being so thoughtful about leaving feedback, Katrin. I appreciate that so much. *Hugs* ~Kim

"That's the only three-way you'll every have with me,"
I love that line and I loved how protective Brian was of Justin, but I felt bad for Jared. It seemed that he was truly trying to make amends to everyone. I only hope he gets a chance
Author's Response: Hello, there! I'm so appreciate that you chose this story to read, and especially for your thoughtfulness in leaving feedback; thank you.
As for Jared and Justin's relationship, yes, I do think that Jared is really trying here. Whether he gets the chance coming up is still up in the air (you don't want me to give TOO much away, do you?);) I CAN say that I'm working on the update to this right now, so it shouldn't be too long before it's posted, and you'll know right away who shot whom.;)
Thanks again for reading, and for letting me know that you are enjoying this story! That is very motivating to me, and means a lot. *Hugs* ~Kim

Oh no! I hope the boys are okay.
Was it McComb who fired or someone else? maybe Solomon went to get help after Justin sent him away.
Author's Response: Hi, Kristi! Thank you for reading this latest chapters, and especially for taking the time to review; I really appreciate that. As for the chapter ending, someone DID get shot. I won't give anything else away, but I WILL say that you will discover what happened pretty much right away as soon as the next chapter is posted.
I'm working on the update to "My Heart's Desire" now, which is written. So I should be able to update this story fairly quickly. Thanks again for the support! *Hugs* ~Kim

Well that's an ending ... you really know to use a cliffhanger! But you would never harm one of our favourite boys - or would you ??? ... So I'm not toooo worried..
Great chapter, thanks!
And also: Thanks a lot for your pics and reports of the ATX Festival, it's truly appreciated!
Author's Response: Hi, there! Thank you for reading and especially for leaving feedback! I am very appreciative.;) And no, I would not do that (at least not permanently, anyway; don't want to give TOO much away!). But you will find out quickly what happened in the next part.;)
And I'm glad you enjoyed the report and pics; I'll have a few more coming up in the next day or so. Thank you again for the support and the encouragement. *Hugs* ~Kim

I think you know what I'm going to say: I WANT THE NEXT CHAPTER RIGHT NOW....ha.. ha...ha....
Very good and informative chapter. This story is getting better and better. "hugs"
Author's Response: Hi, Mariana! Yes, I know - very evil here! I'm hopeful I can get the next part up sooner rather than later this time, since I have a little extra (free) time at the moment; I'm working on the update to my other WIP now, so as soon as I'm finished with that installment, I'll be returning back to this one. At least, you WILL know pretty much right away who shot whom (and yes, someone DID get shot, I will at least say that much!)
Thanks so much for reading, and especially your thoughtfulness in leaving a comment. It is much appreciated. *Hugs* back ~Kim

poor jared, I believe him, I even feel so sorry for him! he didn’t want it to happen. Now many people hate him. loved how protective brian was!!! To think that at first he liked jared better. The ending is scary! Please update again soon!
Author's Response: Hi, Nata! Thank you for taking the time to read and especially comment on my story; I truly appreciate that. Yes, I think Jared has probably more than paid the price for his prior arrogance. Has maybe paid an ultimate price now? I will be explaining what happened pretty much right away in the next part, and will do my best to get it updated just as soon as I can. I hope you will continue to enjoy this story. Thanks again for reading and commenting! *Hugs* ~Kim

Hi Kim,
Whew, you certainly know how to leave a person hanging, don’t you?, haha.
I really feel for Will and Sarah in this, the whole story so far actually, hopefully they will have some closure soon. I love Brian’s protectiveness towards Justin, and Justin’s Spock imitation was great; I used to watch “Star Trek” all the time.
Awww, Brian finally told Justin those three magic words, it’s about time! Haha. Great chapter and now I’m chewing on my fingernails here waiting to see/read what happens next. *Hugs * Janet
Oh, BTW mine will be up in a few minutes ; )
Author's Response: Hi, Janet! Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for your feedback, my friend.; Yes, Will and Sarah have had a difficult time over the past few months; not to mention the time when Dale was killed. I think Will, especially, was traumatized by it, but he is slowly coming to terms with it, thanks in part to both Sarah and to Brian. I will be soon resolving this arc in the story, though, and they WILL find a certain amount of closure and comfort before that part is done.
I still have quite a bit more to tell regarding Justin and Brian, as well as Justin's relationship with his brother, and what becomes of the boys in the future.
Thank you again for all the support, Janet. I will be explaining pretty quickly who shot whom in the next part, and will get it updated just as soon as I can. *Hugs* ~Kim

Nice cliffy. We will keep our fingers crossed for the outcome in next chapter. Good chapter, lots of information and some closure for some problems. Next few capters will be telling. W ent to your live journal page and watched the interview ATX.. It was so good to se the,. Peter still the funny one. They all looked sooo good. It was a wonderful video. Thanx so much for the link. I am soo excited as Adam's cd is out Tuesday. So nice to see he is on your twitter. He is the bomb. I have watched him since Idol 6 years ago. That was just before I started reading your stories. So much fun watching your development as a writer (FIERCE) and his progression as the best singer in the world. Sorry but you both are my favs in the world. Off to bed after after 18 hour shift. lol
Author's Response: Hi, lindc! I'm always looking forward to your comments; you realize that I'm spoiled now, right? If you ever stop I think I'd be heartbroken (I know, laying a guilt trip on you now - I'm shameful!). Thank you for your consistent support; that seems insufficient in light of all the encouragement you've given me, but I want you to know how much I appreciate it. Sometimes it can be discouraging when comments are sparse, so that really helps.
Yes, the QAF panel at ATX was fabulous! Not to mention, since Thea & Michelle couldn't come, they rearranged the seating, and Randy and Gale wound up sitting next to each other.;) Great for photos.;) And they all seemed to have a wonderful time being together again. Peter was a riot!! He was on a roll, not only there, but also in the other panel I saw, especially when he got up right in the middle of it to go to the bathroom! LOL! I will have a 2nd part about the panel on my LJ soon.
Incidentlally, I almost completely deleted my LJ the other day, but rethought it after a few days and reinstated it (you have 30 days after it's 'deleted' to change your mind). Long story, but for now I'm going to leave it up.
Thanks again, dear friend. Please tell everyone I said hello, and thank them for their support. *Hugs* ~Kim

Omg Kim.....I don’t know what else to say. I hope everyone is alright.
Author's Response: Hi, Tamara - I thank you for reading this chapter anyway. I hope you enjoyed parts of it at least. Since I don't have a major character death warning, I think you know that I won't let anyting permanent happen to either one of the boys.;) If you stay with the story, you will discover what happened pretty quickly in the next part. I'll get it updated just as soon as I can. Thanks again for reading, and for your feedback. ~Kim

OOOhhhh. Nice dramatic end to this chapter. I hope everyone is all right (including the dog.) Very interesting and I can't wait for more.
- Jackie Mag

Author's Response: Hi, dear friend - I so appreciate you reading and reviewing; it's very encouraging to me to hear what others think, and I'm glad you're still finding this story interesting. And I know; very evil cliffhanger! But I'll explain it quickly once I get the next part updated. Thank you again for all the support, my friend. *Hugs* ~Kim

I wasn't surprised at Justin's willingness to make peace with Jared. It's in his nature. Even more so was his unwillingness to let McComb kill his brother. Surely the dog will be of help.
Author's Response: Hi, there! I appreciate you reading and especially taking the time to comment; thank you for the feedback. Yes, I think despite all that's happened, the two brothers still love each other. Jared does realize now, I think, that he didn't really stand a chance with Brian. As for Solomon, the dog DID come in handy.;)
I'll explain pretty quickly in the next chapter what's going on, and will get it updated just as soon as I can. Thank you again for the support. *Hugs* ~Kim

I so love this chapter Kim! So well written, as always. I'm glad that Jared wants to do the right thing and Brian is...dare I say cute when he wants to protect Justin ;) But OMG you can't leave us here lol. I want to know that Justin and Jared will be allright. Mac comb has to be arrested or worst, I don't care, as long as the boys are allright. Great chapter, thank you!
NB: the last paragraph is edited twice, you might want to correct it ;)
Author's Response: Hi, my friend! First of all, thanks for the heads up about the formatting problem; I think it's fixed now, but if you still see anything that's off, please let me know. I slightly edited the last part with McComb, and forgot to delete the original part, so it was a mess at first! But I think it's been fixed.
Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for your comments.;) I know, horrible cliffhanger! But you will find out pretty quickly what happened in the next part, I promise. I still have quite a ways to go on this one yet, so I hope you will continue to enjoy it.;p)
BTW, I will be getting to what you sent me soon. I may need to finish my LJ posting about the ATX Festival first, but it will be either today or tomorrow. Thanks again for the support. The stories are here are being updated so fast and furious that I think sometimes people don't even realize when I update, so I'm glad you noticed! *Hugs* ~Kim

Omg wow cliffhanger Kim! Lol I really enjoy all your stories because they not only have our boys front and centre but you wrap them up in intrigue and drama. Every story is a different AU story brilliantly written xx
Author's Response: Hi, Chris! I know, nasty cliffhanger here. But you will know pretty quickly in the next chapter what's going on, and who shot whom, I promise. After that, things will be concentrating more on what happens with B and J in the future before it's all eventually wrapped up. And thank you for reading and for your very kind remarks - and for your encouragement over at LJ as well. I appreciate that so much. *Hugs* ~Kim

I somehow just KNEW McComb was going to make an appearance sooner rather than later. Very glad Jared & Justin are on their way to resolving their problems.
Nice update!
Author's Response: Hi, Trish! Yeah, it's not over...yet. But that part of the story arc will be done soon. I still have a bit more to tell here that will focus more on B and J now. But I'm glad you're still reading and enjoying this story. Thank you for the feedback. And missed you at Austin! Hope I'll see you in Toronto.;) *Hugs* ~Kim

Hi Kim! So nice to see an update to this story. I've been thinking about it. :)
Great chapter. What an exciting turn of events. I was worried after each sentence, even though I know you would never let anything happen to our precious blond. :) I applaud you too, for the cliffhanger, whether everyone else does or not. You know I have a bit of a penchant for those! Haha. It was very well done, as has this story throughout. Definitely looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Thanks for the update, my friend. *Hugss*
