I am enjoying this story a lot.  I like political situations so Lee turned me on to this one.  It has taken me a while to read up to this chapter.  Don't have a lot of spare time, but finally up to this one.  I read the prequel to this one as Lee said it would help me know the characters and how they came bout.  Good advice.  I guess he gets a little antsy and wants to read more of this one.  He says he goes on line every day to see if there are more chapters done.  He's quite a fan-I hope you know this.  He's  a riot.  I finally got to ride in"V" nice car.  You can eat off the floor.  He is very fastidious about this car.  I am Sam.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sam!  Thank you for the lovely words, my friend.:)  Lee is very special to me; and yes, this is his favorite story of mine.:)  I was going to suggest you read "Wedding Present," so I'm glad he already suggested that.  It DOES help to make a little more sense out of this one.  As you can see, there's a lot going on here, isn't there?  So it will take me some time to get to the finish on this one.  I'm delighted that you're enjoying it in the meantime, though.

I've heard all about the famous "Vixen" - ha!  Sounds like a beautiful car.  Lee deserves much happiness, so I'm very thankful that he is with his friends out thereand is doing well .  And I'm grateful for readers such as you who give my stories a chance and like them.  Thank you very much!  I hope you will continue to enjoy some of my other stories. If I may suggest one, if you're looking for a humorous read and haven't read this one, one of my personal favorites to write was "Roughing It:  Adventures in the Great Beyond," where Justin finally talks Brian into going camping with somewhat disastrous results. You might enjoy that one.:)

Thank you again, Sam!  And tell Lee I'm working on the sequel to this one now, so hopefully it should only be a few days to go.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I read this on the night of the last debate, so I apologize for being late with the review. I don't have as much time as I use to, but I have not stopped reading whenever I get a chance.

...he could certainly see Justin as a father.

I love Justin as a father. I read one review that talked the statistic of that in the fandom. I don't know the numbers. I just know that there ate too many times when there is tragedy involved and the child dies or he has to leave Brian or choose between them. It could have happen once, but it has been once too often for me. As far as an older child to adopt -- that's what Gus is for.

Just saying.

But if you have that homeless kid as a potential Justin Jr., Justin may have to scratch his dreams of a nursery, and it would be a pity because I don't think that's what he has in mine.

...instead, resulted in him receiving hate mail for being so ‘bigoted' that he would have his own son arrested.

That's a good point. He may have kept the bigoted ones but lost the emphathetic customers.

It was time to put some plans into motion.

I knew Craig was up to no good. I can't wait to see what he has planned.

I had no idea that Turner would kill himself. If he spent all of his employees pensions, he should be high-tailing out of town. Hmm...

Excellent update!

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra; thank you again for taking time out of your busy schedule/RL to read and review; I am honored that you choose to do that with my stories.:)  I see your point with Alex versus a baby (why I wound up with 'two' Alexes in two different stories is beyond me; I must have a fixation for that name or something - ha!).  I can see both sides of that coin; while Justin has his heart set on a baby, I can also see the merits of someone like Brian deciding to adopt since he himself was adopted.  He has seen only too well how it can be a good thing or, unfortunately in his case, a horrible one.  So perhaps it would be validation for him to adopt, and Justin would agree to it out of his love for him.  I will think carefully about both before I decide where to take this story.  I always have a broad, general idea of where I am going with it but that being said it can always be tweaked as the need and merit warrants it.

And yes, Craig will be making a rather unpleasant guest appearance in the next chapter; his hopes to completely scuttle Fin's campaign, however, may just wind up backfiring in his face, though!  Thanks again for being so supportive of my stories, Sandra; I am very honored.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I am not ready to condemn the kid.  Last we saw him, it

sure seemed like he would be better off not causing any

problems. He had a place to stay, food, and even clothes.  Why

would he trash the hotel room?

We now have two enraged people, Craig and Stewart.  Both

are willing to do “ whatever” to cause harm to either or both

Brian and Finn.  Also, I have to wonder just how safe are Tony

and Justin?

I am just curious if Brian had anything to do with hiding

Craig’s wife and baby daughter.  Justin now has a half sister,

he does have an interest in her well being.

Well – thanks for the chapter.  There are so many story

lines and places where who-knows-what could happen to

whoever.

    Thanks again,

    DavidR

Author's Response:

Hi, David!  I'm glad that you are still following this (long!) story.:)  As always, you take such time and thought with your responses; thank you for that.  I think you may be correct regarding Alex;  there will be more depth to this character than has been shown so far, so I hope you'll stay tuned.  I still have a lot to cover as you can tell with so many subplots occurring.  Thank you again for your thoughts and for reading; I really appreciate that!  I'll be updating this again just as soon as I can.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hello again.  I'm reviewing again.  Do you believe it.  I had to read a few chapters since I reviewed last.  Sorry have been quite busy working.  My next door neighbor has been quite sick.  I have been transporting her to doctors appts. and testing at the hospital.  Her family lives back east in Rhode Island so she doesn't have anyone here that she trusts.  That's me I guess.  Between work and seeing to her needs I haven't had much time.  On to this story--I wonder how you think up all these plots and how they morph into other plots.  It's amazing how you keep everything on an even keel.  I'm just impressed by the detail in every chapter.  This one in particular was super I was totally engrossed and sorry when it ended.  I am quite political and watch all the debates or tape them if I'm working.  I like how Brian and Fin are bonding.  They are so much alike, and Justin and Tony are like two peas in a pod.  Will be waiting to see how this all pans out.  I think this story will be a long one.  Just wanted you to know I have read the beginning of some stories here and lost interest.  You, my friend, are the best one here.  Guess it's time to get my beauty sleep1  Ha!

Author's Response:

Hi, Nonie, my friend; so wonderful of you to take time out of such a busy schedule to read this story and leave me feedback!  I appreciate that very much.  You and your friends never cease to amaze me with your compassion; that is great of you to help out your neighbor that way.  Too often nowadays people don't seem to want to get involved or even to know their neighbors; if they did, perhaps a lot of stress and strife would be avoided.  So I really applaud you for that.

I'm so delighted that you're enjoying this story!  It is rather timely right now, and I paid close attention to the recent debate, since the style will closely mimic what the next debate between Fin and Whittle will be like.  And yes, this story will take me quite a while yet to flesh out and complete, so I hope I can continue to entertain you with it.:)  I have to move on temporarily now to the scheming twins and their stubborn dads in "Parent Trap," but I WILL be returning to this one shortly.  Thank you again for all the wonderful support.  Oh, and start thinking up names for Lee's new wheels - the contest is on - ha!  Take care.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

ouch, Turner is dead. Hmmm, ok.

I liked the Tony&Justin part, poor Tony. But I am sure he will get what he so desperately craves for. I am just sure!

I´d like to read more of the 'charity case' :)

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend.:)  I'm delighted to see your comments.  Don't worry - the 'charity case' is about to return with some surprises, too, I might add.  Thank you for reading and for the feedback; I really appreciate that, Elke.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I think this is quickly becoming my favorite story by you : ) Justin and Tony are going to become very close friends by the time this is all over (HA- but not *That* close).

Laurie has finally come to her senses but of course, Craig is blaming Brian and Fin.

Alex trashing the hotel room then taking off, I have a feeling there's more to that though. Then Turner offs himself, what a coward! Great update as always.

The power company is shutting off the power for maintenance, naturally we didn't find out until this morning. I'm trying to get as much done on HIPS as possible. Hopefully I can get it posted today, I'm not sure.~*~ Hugs, Janet

Author's Response:

Hi, Janet - well, you'll just have to rush off to the library where they have internet service - ha!  Seriously, I'm sorry to hear about your woes; I am really anticipating the rest of your story.  And yes, Brian will be having another encounter with Alex coming up, but not before bad ass Craig shows up again - ugh!

I'm so glad that you are enjoying this story!  Thanks so much for all the wonderful feedback and the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

This story is shaping up in so many diverse directions.  So many sub-plots.  Turner offing himself, Adam in limbo, Alex, (what's up with him), Justin's wanting a child?  Holy moley girl  so good.  Do you think when Fin gets to be the front-runner the LGBT community will endorse him and help fund his campaign.  Seems that would help him n'est pas?  Love the closeness between Justin and Tony.  Seems they have a close kinship because of the men in their lives. Is Alex going to turn out to be the child Justin is craving.  I would rather see him have a baby with someone.  I don't know--there are so many places to go in this story.  Does it boggle your mind?  Guess not as you know where you are taking us.  I read this twice as I thought I missed a few minor details.  I did.  This story is very in the moment with all this political stuff going on now with the debates.  I'm not too political, but don't get into talking with Lee about this-he will talk your ear off.  So adamant and knowledgeable for his age.  Speaking of Lee he sold the Devil.  I guess he out grew him.  I nevr thought he would buy a sports car, and now he has us picking out a name for "her". Do you believe it.  He has changed so much in the past few months.  Grown up and is finally happy.  BB is coming home Saturday, so will take him out for dinner and to the movies.  Taken 2 is here and he really likes Liam Neeson.  lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc!  Yes, Lee has already informed me about the 'demise' of the devil - ha!  And he's already informed me about the rules for the new sports car - the name has to be a 'she' and can't be more than five letters - what pressure!  LOL!  I thought about maybe either 'FLAMN' OR SMOKN,' but an appropriate moniker is hard to determine without knowing more background info; i.e., color, make and model.  Tell Lee I need that in order to do the name justice.:)  I will give it all some serious thought, however; I've been told he has six people at least participating, so surely between all of us we can come up with a name befitting the new wheels.

I'm so thrilled that Lee is doing better! He is very lucky to have such supportive and compassionate friends; it sounds like his move has been very good for him.  And glad to hear that BB will be back soon!  Tell him that I said hello and I've been thinking about him.  And tell Nonie I'm thinking of her, too:)

Oh, yeah, the story - LOL!  Yes, I DO feel like this is shaping up to probably be the longest story I've ever written because of all the sub plots.  I see it going on for some time now in order to answer all the questions that have arisen.

As always, thank you so much for all the support you give me; that means a lot to me!  Hope you all have a great time this weekend!  Take care.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Jesus, hon, talk about a one-two punch!! First, Alex ripping Brian off and then taking off, and then Turner!! Talk about a coward. And Craig just needs to go away...or to prison, I'm not picky! I loved Justin and Tony's talk about marriage and family. Hmm...my imagination is going in weird directions now...

Griping chapter, sweetie!! I'm not going to have any nails left by the time this is finished. BTW, are you planning on timing the end of the story with the real election?

Author's Response:

Hi, Megan!  If only I COULD end it by then!  It seems larger than War and Peace by now - ha!  Sigh.. I don't realistically see any way how I could do that, although it would be great if I could.  I need to stop and devote more time to the other two WIPs for a while, so there's just no way I could see being able to do that.  It would have been a great tie-in, though, and I spent a few minutes last night observing  the format of last night's debate, since it will be pretty similar to the debate between Fin and Dean.  Craig will be creating some controversy there coming up, but he may just get surprised by the counteroffensive.

Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to review; I do appreciate that so much, Megan.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

OH MY GOD!  IT'S FINALLY HERE-MY LONG AWAITED UPDATE AND BY THE WAY WELL WORTH THE WAIT.  CRAIG IS BECOMING A NUISANCE  AND TURNER TOOK THE COWARD'S WAY OUT.  NOW WHAT IS STEWART GOING TO DO AND WHAT IS ASSHOLE CRAIG GOING TO DO.  JUSTIN AND TONY ARE BECOMING BEST BUDS-NEEDS TO HAPPEN AS THEY WILL NEED EACH OTHER AS THIS STORY ROLLS ON.  THE GUY WHO IS BUYING THE DEVIL GOT HIS LOAN SO DEVIL IS LEAVING THIS WEEKEND-SO THAT MEANS I'M CAR SHOPPING THIS WEEKEND.  IF YOU ARE CONTEMPLATING A NAME IT HAS TO BE 5 LETTERS LIKE DEVIL WAS. THIS NAME GAME SHOULD BE INTERESTING AS NOW THERE ARE 6 PEOPLE THINKING OF NAMES.  HA!  LOVE IT.  THIS CHAPTER REVEALED SO MUCH.  I KNOW YOU ARE ON TO PARENTS NOW-BUT COME BACK HERE SOON. LUV 2 U.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lee!  So glad you liked this chapter, Sweetheart!  Sniff... So I have to say goodbye to the devil?  (That sounds kind of weird in a kinky sort of way, doesn't it?  Ha!).  So I guess Scarlet is out since it's seven letters.  Are you putting this on your license plate?  That might inhibit my choices then - LOL!  I need to know the color; that will make a difference in my name picks.:)  Sounds like I have a lot of competition for a name, too, so I'd best get busy.  Good luck with the car search!  It's always exciting when you go car shopping, at least until you have to haggle with the salesman and the new car sales manager - ugh!  I used to work for part of Toyota for 14 years and got cars at dealer cost; no more, though; my current car is 10 years old - aargh!

Thanks so much for the feedback, Lee; let me know what happens!  Have fun!  Hugs and love back to you, too.:)  ~Kim

It's nice to hear Justin's recollections of his feelings for Brian through the years.

And now some more drama... oooohhh.

- Jackie

Author's Response:

Thank you, dear friend, for your thoughts.  Yes, more drama!  Craig may just be in for a bit of a surprise, though; he's not going there to confront a bunch of wimps. And there is nothing scarier than a man defending his soulmate like a tiger defending its cub!  And Alex isn't done tormenting Brian, either, but there will be some surprises there as well.  Thanks again for reading and for your comments; I really appreciate that!  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Wow!  Where do I start?

First of all, I feel for Tony.  He's exactly in the same position Justin has been in so many times.  He just has to have patience.  Fin and Brian are so much alike, so I know Fin will come around.  It's just going to take a while for him to stop being so damned stubborn!

So glad to see Fin and Brian forming a bond.  And it seems they are intellectual matches.  Just great to see after everything Brian has been through.

Poor Brian, he put his trust in someone, only to have it crushed once again.  That boy doesn't know how great a friend and ally he'd have in Brian if he'd just give him the chance.  Something tells me we haven't seen the last of the runaway though.  I have a feeling it's going to be Hunter Novotny all over again, only this time he'll end up being a Taylor-Kinney!  He couldn't have better men to look up to!

Craig is at it again.  Brian and Justin are going to be in a rage when they see him at the debate.  Things are going to get interesting.

And just when I thought you had thrown everything at us that you could, you end it with such a shocker.  Just wow!

Great job, as usual.  This is by far one of my favorite stories of all time.  I am completely and totally hooked.

PS:  I didn't get to write the story I was telling you about for the challenge.  It would have been way too long.  I'm still going to write it, though, and I'll be sure to give you a mention and to send you a copy when I'm done.

Author's Response:

Hi, Nita!  You put so much thought and time into your comments for this; thank you so much for doing that!  I'm thrilled that you are enjoying this story so much.:)  Yes, Craig is definitely intending to throw a huge wrench into the debate, but he just may be in for a surprise; his son has very sharp claws, especially when he is defending his husband and his father-in-law.:)

I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to include your story in the challenge; I would have loved to have seen their reaction to it.  But I'll be eagerly looking forward to it when you DO post it.  Thank you again for taking so much time and consideration into your feedback, and for all the support you give me for my stories; that means so much!  *Hugs*  ~Kim
