I love stories like this! "Stories" as in taking characters in a "normal" 'verse and putting them in weird situations, especially time-related ones (okay, kind of weird, but hey). This one, in particular, is really good. I just feel horrible for poor Brian Brian. Great cliffhanger and can't wait for the next update.

Author's Response: Yes, he did mess up big time. Big, BIG time. I always thought this was something Brian would do if he could get away with it. Not the Brian we know, because in S2 he cared too much for Justin; but a Brian who didn't know Justin as well and knew he was clean. This is just my take on that. Welllll...about Daph. Well, if this doesn't teach Brian to not take drugs from strangers, then I don't know what will. So, what was it that got him to go to that strange club to begin with. Brian! *grumbles about Brian fucking some weird guy while fucked up* And I can honestly say that 'no, he would not have had sex with that weirdo if not for the drugs.' LOL! Can you even imagine? I can tell you this. It wasn't some secret sinister plot to get him to the club, just some Joe off the street. Life is just like that. That was a lot of information for Brian to swallow, but very interesting about the mirror he accidently went into. Great talk with Ethan! Although he's the last person you would think Brian would spill his guts to. Poor guy is at the end of his rope looking for Justin. If he isn't at the loft, Brian is gonna be crushed. So obviously Justin does exsist, since the photo was real...I hope. Sure made Brian realize what a treasure he has in Justin hasn't it!

Walking through that mirror may be doing our Brian some good. A life without Justin is making Brian realize exactly what he's been missing. Duh! I think I need to rewatch the show! lol You're right, I totally forgot about that! I'm so loving the story, and when I am so into a story, I get stuck sometimes on a detail. It's a compliment, believe me. So many stories aren't as meticulously written as yours that I would normally let something that doesnt' quite fit with me slide, but your story is so well crafted, small details like that catch my eye. But you are right, (not surprisingly) Justin did meet ethan on his birthday! Thanks again for clearing that up.

Author's Response: No remember? Justin met Ethan on his birthday. Then Brian went to Vermont and then as Justin was feeling left out when Brian came back, he saw Ethan again and they talked about his birthday and then there was the couch moving thing. So I was thinking that Ethan would know of Justin when Brian visited him at PIFA. BTW, thank you! :)

First, thanks for clearing up my confusion. It really doesn't matter though, this story stands on it's own, it's so amazing! Love this chapter. Love how each Brian is the same, yet different. First of all Justin compared to cheesecake. Love it! lol But I'm a bit confused about the timeline. In the show, the frenchman came after Justin went to vermont. In your story it starts off with Brian coming back from his trip and Justin never went to vermont. Are the time lines different in each world? Loving this so much btw! If you couldn't tell. :-)
Author's Response: Justin is full of cheesecake goodness. LOL! Gui was in S1, remember? He was going to marry Lindsey so he could stay in America (this was after Mel and Lindsey broke up). Then Brian gave his parental rights to Mel and then Linds broke off the engagement to Gui.. And I put a note at the beginning of the story. I changed canon slightly. Instead of Justin going to Vermont, Michael convinced him to stay until Brian got back from Chicago. This was the only way this story would've worked otherwise. Hope that clears everything. :) Thank you! I'm glad you're loving this so much!!!

The tree thing was so bizarre! And the woman knew that that wasn't the right Brian and about the mirrors. She knew just by looking at him! Now the other Brian knows just how much his life would have been changed if something as simple as his cell phone being off, had happened. Just one little thing can alter the course of your life good or bad. Great update!

Brian now knows how much has changed - FOR THE BETTER I might add - because his other self let smeone in. Brian is always so busy shutting everyone out, he doesn't realise that 'no man is an island.' :) And yeah, I always wonder how the littlest thing could change the whole path of your life, you know? First I want to say, I love and appreciate the short re-cap you do at the beginning of the chapters. It helps you recall the last thing you read and move on to the next scene. So Mysterious Marilyn knows about the parallel universe and the two Brian's. I wonder who "they" are that she keeps alluding to. It was interesting hearing Michael's take on how Brian and Justin met and what went down. How he knew that his position in Brian's life was going to change and he was right. Oooh, showdown at the Taylor house! Can't wait for this. I wonder if Justin will be attracted to Brian when they finally meet.
Author's Response: I realized I needed to do a recap so as to make sure people knew which universe they were in. Also, at the time I was posting this, there were times I was posting pretty fast so I wanted to make sure people didn't accidentally skip a chapter. You just can't do that with this story. You'll find out about 'them.' And yep, MM is just a font of information. :) And you see? Right there. You hit the nail on the head. This story is not so much about the sci fi aspect as it is about the people. I wanted a way to show people what it was I saw about Justin when watching the show. How he changed their lives and Brian's and Michael's. I'm terrible to Michael in my crack fics, but I actually liked him on the show and thought he was a good friend to Justin in the second season before it got all cocked up. And you'll see what happens at the Taylor residence. I'll post the next chapter tomorrow. :) Thank you!

Thank you for that! :) I always hoped that I kept the confusion down and to me, no matter what story I'm working on, if it doesn't flow right, I scratch it and start over. I'm not sure where the rest came from. I was just so excited that someone made me a banner out of the blue. LOL! :) You shouldn't be confused for too much longer.
