Great chapter! Glad to see Brian might not care if JT has average looks. They both will be pleasantly surprised. The red roses was a nice touch.  Hope you can post the epilogue that you had mentioned in the other review. More please. Lol

Thanks for sticking with this story, and for continuing to leave feedback; I really appreciate that. :)  I may do an epilogue, but first I want to flesh out part of the period in between this chapter and the previous one, along with how B and J finally see each other for the first time.  It won't be as simple as one might think, though.  (What fun would THAT be?)

I'm happy that you are enjoying this story. It won't be a very long one; maybe two more chapters? But hopefully I'll have the next one up either tonight or tomorrow. Then probably back to a more dramatic story. :) 

I am keeping extremely busy between the job, my mom, editing for other writers, and some other endeavors. But basically okay.  Glad to hear that you are as well.

Hi, Lindc!  So good to hear from you!  I'm thrilled that you liked the beginning while I set up the plot.  I do love Emmett, Vic, and Daphne.  I still remember the scenes between Justin and Vic very well; especially when they were making the girls' wedding cake. So funny!  Loved Vic's character, and wish they hadn't killed it off. :(

What a lovely late summer surprise to find a new Fic from you!

I love the fact that it mentions so many NYC places that I'm familar with. Who knows, maybe I might run into Brian or Justin next time I'm passing the Library, LOL!

Just a little hint... if you want to go for more authenticity, the subway announcement is simply: "Stand clear of the closing doors."

I'm so glad you're excited to see this new story!  As for what year, I hadn't really concentrated on that, TBH.  But since Justin is 19, I would think early 2000's, although I'm not sure we would be in the same realm technologically.  I hope you'll grant me a little poetic license, just in case. ;)

Great start here, really enjoyed the New York references. In my mind's eye I could vividly see each step as I am familiar with the places you utilized. Thankfully I have never encountered a thief there - I feel very fortunate in that! I did worry when the thief was stalking Justin; I'm glad nothing physical resulted. And, of course, thrilled that Brian found the notebook. I can't wait to see how that comes into play...

Hi, Janet!  Thanks for reading, and for your comments, my friend.  I, too, was trying to think of NYC in my mind's eye.  I can clearly recall those two lions to either side of the library, and I always enjoyed walking through Bryant Park, so I thought it would make a good setting for part of the story. 

Glad I've never met a thief there, either. I remember the first time I went to NYC, I was pretty intimidated.  But now the subway is pretty much old hat.:) Thanks again for checking this sory out, and for the comments! I greatly appreciate that.  ~Kim
