Hi again! Yeah, I think you’re right with what you wrote about Brian’s friends. Furthermore, in the show they are mainly Brian’s friends against what in your story Justin first gets to know Emmett and started a friendship with him before he gets to know Brian. Michael – yeah, this is a different story. There are moments where I get so angry about his behavior as when he told Brian that they know about the cancer, but on the other hand he tried to repair his mistakes when he spoke with Justin about Brian’s behavior. But I think also this is life – we all make mistakes.

So, this chapter. I really like how you describe Brian’s thoughts while waiting for Justin at the diner (that he was always on his mind – ridiculously romantic :-) ) and their conversation, teasing one another. It’s great to see that “it was only time” and that it seems as if their separation hasn’t destroyed too much but was necessary in some way.

Justin is very mature – how he handles the one-night-stand between Brian and Lindsay. And I’m glad that he has forgiven Brian and tries also to forgive Lindsay, ‘cause in the end there is Gus – best what could have happened to Brian – besides Justin of course!

Hey my friend! Oh, yes, Brian is completely fucked when Justin is concerned lol Of course he tried to resist or freak out at times, but actions speak volumes about hos he really feels.

I always though that the boys in the show reacted realistically to Justin. I mean, I'm not sure I would take seriously a 17 years old boy stalking my 29 years old friend, knowing how said friend usually behave. I think Michael, Ted and Emmett eventually supported Justin, in their own way. Of course in Michael's case, he was first and foremost Brian's friend and he behaved like a jealous wife at the beginning of the show. I think he became a better man to Justin overtime. Well, they all had their flaws, but this is what being humans is all about, right?

“Cry” This is so heartbreaking and again very intensive. I have to praise you again. You know, I start reading a new chapter and just after a few sentences, I can feel the mood. There is so much sadness and one can feel the hurt Brian is feeling (I mean not only about Justin but also about many other things in his life) but also their longing for each other. I really like your idea about how some people changed, influenced or engraved us although they might not be a part of our lives anymore. What a great chapter, my friend!  As always, your writing is filled with so much passion and emotion.  And I love the way your write the sex scenes between B and J.  Sweet but sexy; just the way i like it!

Glad that Brian and Jesse finally made up. And Jack's painting; wow, that was a real tearjerker, but in a good way.  I'm curious about him calling Jack "Dad."  But I think it was Brian's way of having a new beginning with his father by not calling him what he used to call him. I think it fits. :)

About Brian calling Jack 'Dad' and not 'Pops', Jack had asked him not to call him Pops when they came back from the forest where Jack was missing. It was his way to let his son know that he wasn't that man anymore, and that he loved his son more than anything.

It seems like Brian has finally "turned the corner." It comes too late to save his relationship with Justin, but this is the beginning of the man we see in the "present" portion of this story - the Brian who was able to be open to reigniting the passion he and Justin shared. I'm still sad it had to be so painful though.

Brian is finally getting his shit together, so to speak. Starting with Justin's leaving him and now knowing he is going to have a son as well as Debbie's push, is all Brian needed to finally 'move on' in his life; Sure, he has lost Justin, and that's sad, but he will find him again, and once he will, he will never make the same mistakes again. I promise you the last chapters of this story will be full of joy, especially the present parts :)

I'm sorry I made you cry!! I hated writing this chapter, even if it was necessary to explain how they had ended where they are in the present, but yes, it was awful. Hopefully the major angst is mainly over for now and is definitely over in the future. Both men have learned a lot from that time. Even if they both ended heartbroken, they also learned valuable lessons, especially Brian. He might have fought against himself to let Justin back into his life, but now that he had, there is no way he will let Justin go ever again.

Loved, loved, loved this chapter.  I'm kind of glad Brian is making Jesse work for his forgiveness even though he still loves him.  There is no way anyone would just forgive and forget instantly in a situation like that.  Brian has mellowed a lot and it is so heartwarming to see how much he respects and depends on Justin now.

But yes, Jesse needs to work to regain Brian's trust, and I think he actually wants to prove himself, too. As for Justin, Brian could have freaked out that Justin knew about Jesse walking again, and didn't tell him. But he understands, and mainly, he loves Justin more than anything and he is willing to fight for him now. I'm glad it's as heartwarming for you as it is for me :)

Great chapter-  loved the interactions between all parties and especially Brian and Jesse.  I love how Justin reads Brian and understands when not to push-  he has been reading hte Brian Kinney operating manual and paying attention.

Youch....You sure know how to write emotions...I'm sitting at my computer crying.

So up until this point I had kind of written Brian off as a young, stupid asshole and not really paid much attentiont o his fuck-ups because I knew they were going to happen.  Not to say that they didn't matter or anything...I don't know if I explained that right.  Anyways, it wasn't until this chapter that I realized just how badly Brian needs help - like professional help.  Because you nailed it with "Justin's love wasn't enough". 

Honestly, Justin shoud be sainted for how much he put up with, but at the end of the day love isn't going to fix what's wrong with Brian.  And because of that discovery I now feel bad for him.  I felt like he deserved to have everyone he loves leave him...but I don't anymore because I honestly don't think he can help himself.  And you captured that perfectly.

Now I'm just baffled as to how Justin can give this man another chance.  ;)  After all that pain it would be so hard to look past it and see the man Brian becomes.  Seriously - sainthood.  Saint Justin needs to be a thing.

And don't even get me started on Lindsey...

Okay, I survived another chapter in the past.  It was hard, no wonder you had such a rough time writing it. More happy times now please.  :)

I'm sorry that I've given you reviews just recently because I think you deserve a review for every chapter. But I think I'll read your brilliant story again anyway and then I will do better...

I wanted to take the chance to give you an answer to this note although I know it's not current. And I hope you've overcame your doubts. But nevertheless... I can understand that it's maybe boring to write on your own (but to be honest... I can't even write such things so how can I understand :-) ) but I don't understand how you could be so doubtful about your story. It's brilliant, exciting, interesting, affectionate, dramatic, heartbreaking, cute, hot... and it's good written. I could go on. And it's for sure not boring. And I don't think that there is too much angst. It just fits to the characters and the story. For example when Justin got back from L.A. and Brian wanted him to move in I haven't expected Brian still doing so much tricking and I think in the tv show there was also so much hurt and pain. I just wanted to tell you how much I love your story and I hope you don't stop writing. I think you are very talented. So, enough for today... :-)

I had a hard time with this story. Motivation is suck a tricky thing and I was feeling down, with no inspiration at the time. Words are a weapon for Brian. I agree with you one hundred percent about how cruel words can be. But *happy danse* I'm so glad you're enjoying it so much! Il y a un sens de la fatalité en marche qui est terrible dans ce chapitre, Brian sait qu'il agit mal mais ne peut s'en empêcher, Justin sait pourquoi il se conduit comme ça et le comprend, mais est quand même blessé par son comportemement. Justin comprend le comportement de Brian mais il n'en peut plus. C'est terrible de voir quelqu'un qu'on aime se détruire et malgré tout l'amour qu'il y a entre eux, Justin réalise que ce n'est plus suffisant pour qu'il continue à se battre. Je sais qu'au début de cette histoire, les lecteurs étaient plutôt enclain à condamner Justin pour être parti, mais la vérité est bien plus complexe.

Google docs est un outil de partage en ligne, similaire à Word, mais où plusieurs personnes peuvent collaborer en même temps. Ce qui me permet d'écrire et aux correctrices de faire des modifications si nécessaire. Mon niveau d'anglais est bon, mais avoir des correctrices anglophones m'aident beaucoup.

This is definitely one angsty chapter and I'm afraid it's not finished. Both Brian and Justin are in a bad place right now, and as we already know, it isn't going to get better. As you say, Justin can only take that much and Lindsay's pregnancy is already a step too far. Only his love for Brian is making Jutin stay for now, but love isn't always enough.

I'm slowly but surely approaching the end of this tale. I think maybe about five more chapters, maybe more but not too many. As always, a huge thanks for your never-ending support, it means the world to me :)

Oh god this is so painful!!!  I can't even decide who I feel worse for between Jesse and Justin.  (Definitely NOT Brian though, since he's the one causing all the problems here!)  It's just...Justin is trying SO HARD!  It's painful to see him want so badly for things to be the way they were before.  And it's not like it's even wistful longing - he's doing everything he can to be supportive and make things right, but all of his efforsts are just rebuffed. 

And Jesse!  Poor Jesse.  At least he has Aaron but jeez...it must be so hard for him for his life to change so drastically.  You know, I take back what I said about his refusing to forgive Brian being so strange.  I guess it didn't really hit me how badly he was injured and just how much his life had changed because of what Brian did.  He has every right to hold a grudge.

God why does Brian have to be so dumb?!  Why does it have to take him so long to realize what he's doing?

I always saw Brian, as fucked up as he was at times, as a very forgiving man, much more than other characters of the show. That's probably why I write him that way with his father. Although I think for him to be really happy, it was time to let go of his resentment, considering it took him 17 years to forgive Jack. But their relationship is sincere and real now.

I still have a few chapters to write before reaching the end of this tale. I wanted to thank you sincerely for all the support you've given me, chapter after chapter, since I've began this story. You've a great help and a great support and I can't thank you enough for this. Really... :)

So I have to say I'm in love with this story all of it, the angst, b/j. But most importantly Jack and Jesse's characters I am obsessed with. I've read so many B& J. I'm back, "recovered" ... And not a moment too soon by the sound of it :) 

Firstly, there is absolutely nothing boring about this story, I love it and I don't do boring. Secondly, I was surprised it was Jesse who ended up getting hurt because I couldn't see the Jesse we knew up to that point blaming Brian for something that clearly wasn't his fault, for that kind of reaction I thought it would surely have to be the man he loved who got hurt. I now see that was a rather simplistic and obvious way to go, the way you wrote it was far more realistic. The mental repercussions Jesse suffered were in fact just as damaging and life changing as the physical ones .... and this is why you write and I read. Thirdly, angst is essential as far as I'm concerned, it's too much fluff I have a problem with. 

So keep at it and if writing with someone else makes the whole experience more enjoyable for you then I am very glad you ve found that person because if you stopped writing I would miss you :(

As always, seeing your name on my screen brings a huge smile on my face. I'm glad you approve of Jesse' s developpement. it's dramatic for him to react that way, but yes, the mental repercussions have been as traumatic as the physical ones in that instance. 

Also, not sure why I find the story boring lately, probably because I was unsatisfied with my writing and I can become very frustrated when it happens. I know asking the readers for help has helped me in the past, so here I am, begging for help again. But I don't regret it. I find it's the best way to find my motivation back and if it's a good thing for me, it's a good thing for those who read the story, right? lol

i'm enjoying immensely working on another story, behind the scene, with another author. This one will be lighter, more like a romantic comedy, but after all the efforts/angst it took for this one, it's really a bawl of fresh air and I hope readers will like it.

I can't say that I understand the joys or the frustration of authoring a story... I have no talent for it. But I DO know what I like to read, and I think this is one of the most original and engaging QAF Fics I have read in a long while. I love the way the story has unfolded, weaving the present to give clues to the past and vice versa. A good many QAF readers LIVE for angst, as long as there is a Happy Brian & Justin at the end.

I sincerely hope you are able to work things out and find a way to take this story to the end. I think I'd be heart-broken if you didn't.

Motivation and inspiration are such tricky things. I can be totally inspired sometimes and other times, I'm completely stuck and/or demotivated. That's why I posted that note. I know from experience that asking the readers for their feedback when I'm feeling down can help me more than anything else. In that instance, I'm so glad I did. Maybe the fact that I have a map for Entwined since so long, that we're nearing the end but that it takes me so much more time that I had anticipated hadn't helped. I know I'm too perfectionist with this one, and it can become very frustrating when you put so much effort in it and yet you're not satisfied with the result. Anyway, you're one of the readers who have helped me more than you know not to give up. I think if i did, I would be as dispapointed as the readers.

I am in love with your story!  I came into it about halfway through and I don't come to MW as much as I used to, so I'm always playing catch-up, but I LOVE this story and get so excited when I come back and see a new chapter or two.

I love Brian's growth, with Justin, Gus, and his father.  I love Justin's strength to come back to Brian and love him badly enough to force Brian into giving them another chance.  The scene in Brian's office was so hot... and then the way Brian kicked him out was so painful, not because he was hurting Justin but because I could feel the conflict in Brian, wanting Justin so much but not trusting him anymore.

The situation with Jesse really through me!  What a twist!  Here I'd been blaming Brian all along for his and Justin's breakup, only to find out that I'm more angry at Jesse for blaming everything on Brian!  Of course Brian would push everyone away and go on a binder.  He blames himself.

At this point in the story, I'm looking for some closure too.  At this point we know that Brian pushed everyone away, took advantage of Lindsey, got her pregnant, wanted her to abort Gus, went on a binder, pushed Justin away, and never made up with Jesse.  There are obviously details in those senarios that need to be hashed out, but at this point, I'm wanting more progress in their present day relationships.  I know where the characters are coming from because you did such a good job showing us their motivations, but now I want to see where their going!!!  I want some present day, healing angst!  lol!  I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but I hope you know what I mean.  That's just my opinion though.

I just love this story.  And I love you're writing.  I understand losing interest in things, but I do hope you find it in you to finish the story for us.  Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us.  Good luck in whatever :-decide.  <3  :-)

I have a tendency to write about love and growing up and I'm glad you can feel it here. And I absolutely love your resume and the fact that you need some closure in the present part. It makes perfect sense, since from now on, the past chapters will put the last pieces into place to understand exactly everything in the present, but yes, the present will take all its place in the story now :) And will conterpoint the pain of the past.
