Oh man happy tears floods and floods of happy tears. I did not want this story to end . It’s hand on heart one of my favorite stories in the world. I would love to see a story of when they finished with the circus and raising their son. You have really made me happy this morning, thank you for creating this for us to enjoy xx
Author's Response: Oh Wow! To know that this story touched you this much is the highest compliment. All your comments mean the world to me. Thank you so much for your readership and for all your support. Warmest hugs, Grammy

Way to give me a heart attack. I was on tender hooks right throughout this entire chapter. You had me in the edge of my seat gasping. You wrote this so well I could see it play out so clearly. You should be very proud of this.
Author's Response: Thank you so very much for all these beautiful words, Vicki. The whole goal of this chapter was to show just how strong our couple is despite a huge threat to their happiness and future. I'm so glad that you felt the fear and eventual release fo that fear in the end. Warmest hugs, Grammy

Holy crap, no please let the boys get to safety and not crash. That Kip needs to be taken out I swear I wanna throttle him. String him up and use him as a Pineda grrrr
Brilliant work x
Author's Response: Kip is definitely a huge threat, but only time will tell how successful he will be with his evil schemes. Huge hugs, Grammy

Wow Kip could have killed her with his messing with the equipment fingers crossed he might get caught if he try’s again. I wish one of the animals would eat Ethan then again I wouldn’t want them to get sick from having to either. I hope our boys will be ok and the circus family will be able to help if something happens.
Excellent work x
Author's Response: It's a little cruel of me to have not one, but two evil forces trying to create trouble. But circus people know how to take care of themselves and each other. They'll need this very soon. Huge hugs, Grammy

Boy oh boy you love setting my phone on fire don’t you lol. They are steamy hot I’m sure the cctv in the gym would have captured something hot lol.
Kip better stay away and not hurt Justin and the same with Ethan he better not hurt Brian. Kip and Ethan should get together they deserve each other.
Brilliant work x
Author's Response: LOL! I had to laugh out loud at your idea of Kip and Ethan getting together. Terrific!! No chance of a camera catching our boys in a little playful fun. Cameras weren't so popular back in those days as they are now. But that would make for an interesting recording. LOL! Huge hugs, Grammy

I’m so proud of Justin as well and I wanna see this painting you made it come alive off the page.
Oh Kip grrrr he is a right creep and what is he gonna do. I’m worried.
Author's Response: What a wonderful compliment with the painting. Thank you very much, Vicki. As for Kip, there is good reason to worry. He is even eviler than on the show for this story. Hold on to your seat. It's going to be a bumpy ride with him. Huge hugs, Grammy

Fan me down, those boys are seriously hot aren’t they. I love how you are writing them it’s like they were never not together in this life.
oh shit, Ethan now he knows where he is well feck. I fear for both Justin and Brian because you never know what that crazy man will do.
Brilliant work x
Author's Response: It is impossible to imagine that Brian and Justin were not meant to be, so that's how I always write them. So glad that you feel that way too. As for Ethan, he is going to be the thorn that tries to get between them, but it won't be as easy as he thinks. Huge hugs, Grammy

Phew wee I’m so glad Brian arrived when he did. Goodness knows what could have happened if he didn’t.
Oh lordy Ethan that man makes my blood boil I hope and pray they get him before he gets them. I’m very worried now xx
Author's Response: Brian to the rescue. He will always want to be Justin's hero. No doubt of that. As for Ethan, oh yes he can become a problem. But, unfortunately, he won't be the only one. Huge hugs, Grammy

It’s great to see Justin flying with Brian and Debbie loving watching him. It would be so good to see him fly in an actual show. His drawings I could picture them so clearly. You go Ben that is awesome I’d love to read that book. Fantastic work x
Author's Response: It wasn't that difficult to picture Ben doing this kind of research for a book. He's a natural, and now he can keep Mikey too busy to fret about Brian and Justin. LOL! I loved imagining Brian and Justin up there on the trapeze, and of course Debbie is more than pleased with her newest act. But no matter what, Justin can't give up his drawings. It's in his blood. Thank you again for your wonderful comments, Vicki. Huge hugs, Grammy

Love how Justin and Brian are getting closer in every aspect, it shows that they are meant to be connected. Micheal needs to wise up with a swift kick up the butt. Ooh I wonder what Ben will bring. Cannot wait to find out. I’m loving this xx
Author's Response: Don't worry, Vicki, because Michael just may be too distracted by a certain gentleman named Ben to be a bother to Brian and Justin. LOL! Huge hugs, Grammy

Wow wee yes sir ree that was top notch. I loved Brian asking Justin to ride with him to the next stop. The conversation was perfect and wow talk about forward from Brian. Lol I’m surprised the car didn’t burst into flames with their hotness. Cannot wait for more x
Author's Response: Well now, I kind of thought you'd enjoy this chapter. LOL! It looks like the two have found a new way to advance their 'friendship' and are enjoying every minute of it. So much more to come as they become closer and closer. Huge hugs, Grammy

Lol I feel bone tired just reading about Justin’s first month I bet he could use a good few massages maybe Brian could help him with that. I’m glad he likes his roommates and getting closer with Brian. I hope we get to see what the car journey is like.
I loved this this chapter I found it very uplifting x
Author's Response: Oh yes, the car journey... well, that will certainly be interesting. As for all the hard work that Justin is going through... for him it is a delightful change. He is really taking to the circus life and it is taking to him too. Huge hugs, Grammy

Good lord that Ethan is a right thicko and a scally. I would have loved to have decked him one. Justin seriously needs to get rid and get out and away from him. I’m excited to see what’s next and if he gets the job what will he end up doing and will sparks fly with Brian.
Excellent work x
Author's Response: Truthfully, Ethan did Justin a favor by going one step too far. It is what Justin has needed to make him seriously think about changing his life, and change it he will. Looking forward to more comments and hope you continue to enjoy this story, Vicki. Huge hugs, Grammy

Oh I wanna see this act in real life now. You have painted an amazing picture of it I can see it play out in my head. Maybe you could hire Gale and Randy to play this for me huh 😜
I hope they meet after the performance and get on well. I think Brian was thunderstruck by Justin’s baby blues.
Incredible work x
Author's Response: It's all about the eyes with Justin, isn't it? Your comments are such a delightful compliment, Vicki. If the reader can picture a scene in their head as they read, then the writer has done their job correctly. Thank you so much for this. Actually, I think both Gale and Randy are athletic enough to handle this kind of action in a circus, wouldn't you agree? Huge hugs, Grammy

I wanted to run away to the circus when I was a child. We lived four houses from the train depot and Every fall when the circus came to our city, we would watch as the animal acts were unloaded marched to the fairgrounds about a mile away. Good times.
Author's Response: I can relate to your story about watching the circus coming to town. I can remember the same thing so clearly from way back in the '50's. I've always been fascinated by the circus and my memories went a long way in creating this story. Thank you so much for commenting again on it. I truly appreciate it. Warm hugs, Grammy

Amazing. A wonderful nostalgic glimpse at a different time when making a living could be hard but friends and family were the lynch-pins of our lives. Reminded me of simpler times in my childhood, before the hustle and bustle of this technological age which I do appreciate allows me to read and enjoy gems like this:-)
Author's Response: I was a pre-teen at the time this story begins and I clearly remember how much I loved being taken to see the little independent circuses that would come around once or twice a year. When a friend and I were feeling nostalgic one day, she gave me the idea of setting a story inside the colorful circus world, which I thought was perfect for the QAF characters. I'm so glad you liked where this story took you back in time, Nickknack. It certainly brought back a lot of memories for me too. Thank you so much for your very kind comments. Warm hugs, Grammy

Okay, I cheated and finished reading this here before you finished posting on the other site. I knew I had seen this on MW and just looked up all your work. I loved this story. Now I'm going to have to go through all the other stories on this site that I've missed. Thank you for such a great new world you took us to. I will have to say that I was holding my breath when the jeep went down the ravine. I loved this ending. That was so freaking great. As always, you never dissapoint.
Author's Response: I thought I'd seen your name here before, but my memory isn't that reliable anymore so I wasn't sure. MW has been home base for me since the very beginning, but a friend told me about Ao3, so I decided to start posting there too. Since I don't write as often as I did in the beginning, it's kind of fun to post a little at a time on the new site. I'm thrilled to hear from you, Boriqua, no matter where it is at. I'm so happy to know that you enjoyed the rest of this story. It brought back a lot of memories of my childhood, when the small circuses would come to town and my folks would always take me to them. Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments you leave me. They are a joy to read. Warmest hugs, Grammy

"...Brian flying through the air and Justin putting all his trust in him..."
I spent the day reading this story. I liked the historical aspect of the history of the small circus. I remember growing up with Bozo circus. Going to a real circus was never even a thought.
I also love the love story between Brian and Justin. It was wonderful to see them 25 years later still so very much in love and reflecting on their life together.
Well done!
Author's Response: I've always loved circuses, and one day a friend and I were discussing circus movies we had seen. It reminded me of a favorite of mine called 'Trapeze', and it got the ball rolling. When she said she thought a love story set in the old world of family-owned circuses would be fun to read, I was hooked. I had a ton of fun researching the history of small circuses, which were my favorite kind as a child. I'm so glad you enjoyed my story, No Sleep. Thank you so much for letting me . I love the fact that in every american movie or book where there is a swedish guy, his name is almost always sven. seems to be the most popular swedish name among americans. lol! :)
but anyway, i'm really enjoying this story so far and i'm looking forward to reading the rest of it :)
Author's Response: I never thought about the popularity of the name Sven before, but you are probably right, Madeleine. I actually researched a long list of Swedish names before settling on Sven because it has such a pleasant ring to it.

Author's Response: What a wonderful compliment. Thank you so much, SJS. The one thing I can always guarantee in my stories is a happy ending. I'm afraid I'm a hopeless romantic and always will be. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Huge warm hugs, Grammy

I really like the details you put into your story. You seem to have a real love for the circus and an ability to describe things in such a way that I can just see it in my mind's eye. My one suggestion for you would be to take it easy on the heavy foreshadowing at the end of each chapter. As a reader, it's fun to be surprised with where a story goes. We don't always need to know what's going to happen in advance. This only ever appears in your very last paragraph, so it's a very minor detail, but still a suggestion nonetheless. Thank you for sharing this story. I am really enjoying it so far.
Cheers! SJS
Author's Response: Thank you so much for your comments, SJS. I value each and every one of them and am always open to suggestions. As an avid reader myself, I can understand your thoughts on the cliff hangers I write, however I'm afraid that this is very much a part of my style. I am the product of my upbringing which included a half century of addiction to soap operas and even serial radio in the '50's. The one thing that always had us coming back for more was the cliff hangers from these shows. Many of my readers like that part of my stories. I really hope that they won't frustrate you to the point of no longer wanting to read my work, but I have to be honest with you. I probably won't change that part of my writing style since I actually enjoy them myself. I really do appreciate your observations, however. Thank you so much for letting me know what you think.
You are very right about my love of the circus. I've been attending them for 60 years now and will never grow tired of them. I try very hard to research all my stories and keep them as accurate as I can. I owe that to my readers. I'm so glad you enjoyed this story. Thank you again for everything. Warmest hugs, Grammy

I am such a sucker for a happy ending! Thank you for another fantastic story. So glad the 'baddies' got their comeupance and such a ridiculously romantic ending. I am left with a wonderful warm cosy feeling. x
Author's Response: As you can probably tell, I love happy endings whenever our beloved boys are concerned. I'm so happy that you enjoyed that leap into their future too. As for the dastardly Kip and Ethan....well they got what they deserved, although some wanted me to kill off Ethan too. LOL! That ending was just wonderful...it had me smiling and teary-eyed!! WoW Brian and Justin together for 25 years and now committed to each other! That's hopelessly romantic (sigh)...Also Kip getting just what he deserved in the end and who would listen to that greasey, piece of crap Ethan play...I guess it goes to show they go for anything in Europe (lol)....I loved this story and hated to see it end...Really big hugs!!!
Author's Response: Uhh, you wouldn't happen to be from America, would you Jasmine? LOL! Ethan may be a big hit on the concert circuit but I made it clear that he never actually found true love. He probably scared away every man who tried to love him, just like he did with Justin. I couldn't think of a more fitting end for Kip, either. Karma is a bitch, as my Daughter keeps telling me. LOL! Author's Response: Trust me, Jasmine, I understood you, and it made my day. Sober or not so much, you write wonderful comments. Thanks again. Huge hugs, Grammy

Can I just say when you say you have a cliff-hanger you're not joking!! Whew, I'm on the edge of my seat...also I must say that Kip is the slimiest, nastiest, evil piece of elephant dung (eew) that you have written, he's just beyond evil and I'm glad that our girl Debbie caught the freak....I've said it before and I'll say it again this is one of my favorite stories!! Hugs and can you fell the love!!!
Author's Response: I can feel the love, and it feels so darn good. Thank you so much Jasmine. I often add a bad boy to my stories but it is usually Ethan or Craig Taylor. This time I thought I'd go for a duo and who else better to be the villain than that pompous ass, Kip? Thank you so much for your fantastic comments. I love them. Great big hugs, Grammy

Trapese.
Oh dam Kip is just so much bad news please do not hurt our boys. Good thing Debbie had her eyes open :) Chris
Author's Response: Kip is certainly a lot scarier than Ethan was. At least he won't get away with his evil deeds thanks to Debbie's sharp eyes. I won't make you wait long for the aftermath, Chris. Thank you so much for your great comments. Huge hugs, Grammy

Ooohh... you and your cliffhangers! :)
Debbie was immediately surrounded by her closest and dearest, including Brian, Justin, her son, Ben, and Vic.
Such a beautiful little vignette into the "family" :)
Author's Response: I know, HalfTime, this was one of my favorite cliffhangers. But I vow you won't have to wait long for the next chapter. That would be too cruel. I'm glad you liked to read about the closeness of our little Circus family. Just like the GLBT community on QAF, they all care for and look out for each other. Makes it harder for the bad guys to mess with them. LOL! Thanks so much for your great comments. Huge hugs, Grammy

glad debbie decided to hold onto him. will make is so much easier for the cops to get to him.
i don't even want to think about what could possibly happen.
Author's Response: As usual, Debbie was perceptive and knew that Kip was up to no good. He crossed paths with the wrong old girl. I'll try to get the next chapter out quick so you don't have to be left hanging too long. Thanks for the great comments, Sherrie. Huge hugs, Grammy

YAY! You updated one of my favorite (which is hard to do with your stories cause they're all good) stories...I hate that greasy, foul, idiotic, terminally foolish Ethan! He deserves to be shot out of a cannon and than he can land in the water where he's eaten by hungry alligators who just finished feasting on Kip (lol)... Just love the suspense and of course Justin & Brian together...This story makes me feel good even though I'm trying desperately to get over this darn cold!
Author's Response: What a delight to hear from you Jasmine. I sure hope that nasty cold makes a hasty exit. I love all the suggestions I've been given for the dastardly things that can take care of both Ethan and Kip. My favorite is being stomped on by the circus elephants. Hee hee! Well, I can promise you that they will both wish they hadn't taken on our lovers very soon. More to come. I just love visiting the circus. Huge hugs, Grammy

Well I am glad to know that the circus animals can tell that Ethan is no good and I hope that they turn on him and devour him. Just hink one little squeeze from the lead elephant and the world would be so much safer. I must admit to a tiny chuckle when I think of "Doc Blake". I don't think I would be turning to a cute twink like Blake for my medical care. This was a good chapter. filled with lots of tension building events. Is anyone else a little upset that Ethan the scum sucker is staying in a 5 star hotel??? I think he shoul be staying in a garbage can down by the dump.
Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: Ethan certainly would make a tasty little snack, wouldn't he. Hee hee! But then again, he might give the poor lions and tigers a case of indigestion since he is so disagreeable. Don't worry Lori, the animals and bribed employees won't be the only ones aware of Ethan very soon. Then the fun begins. Glad you like the Doc Blake reference. I thought it fitting since our canon Blake was such a healer himself once he became a recovering addict. I was so proud of him. More to come very soon, but first a pause to try out a new short story. Talk to you again soon. Much love, Grammy

Keep dreaming Ethan! Our boys are so good together...
Love this chapter, so glad you updated! I'm really enjoying this story - looking forward to seeing what trouble Kip & Ethan cause at the next stop - and if our boys & the gang will find out & stop them before someone gets *really* hurt! :)
Author's Response: Ethan certainly is delusional, isn't he? More trouble lies ahead, but Ethan and Kip may find out that they have bitten off a lot more than they can chew. I'm glad you enjoyed the new chapter, HalfTime. More coming up very soon. Huge hugs, Grammy

loved all of ted, emmett, drew, brian and justin.
well once kip is found out, and that will happen soon i hope, those two roustabouts will be out of job. i hope no one gets seriously hurt because of his vendetta.
as for the other, maybe the tigers will get antsy enough or hungry enough.
Author's Response: Wouldn't it be a shame if Ethan got just a little too close to the tiger cage and...well, I'll leave that to your imagination? I'm thinking evil thoughts myself. LOL! Glad you enjoyed the camaraderie of our boys. Circus life can be fun, especially if you are in the right trailer. Thanks so much for your comments Sherrie. Huge hugs, Grammy
Reviewer: BigPaw (Anonymous) · Date: March 01, 2010 02:51 PM · On: Caught in the Netting
OK, that has got to be the most fun spot for a quickie...almost as good as the camel. Just imagine the springy motion and the way the net would cradle your body in snugly support. But i have such a fear of heights I would never be willing to go that high off the ground even if both boys decided they wanted to try a little something new. This has got to be one of the top ten romantic spots. Do we have any reason to worry about the recent painting requests Justin just agreed to? They seem a little fishy, maybe I'm just a bit too sensitive. I can't believe Ethan can't just get on with his life, worthless as it is and leave our boys alone. I'm glad your lack of computer time hasn't bothered your great sense of adventure and your source for ideas that put a huge smile on my face. Thanks for filling my life with joy.
Hugs as always, Lori
Author's Response: I had a strong feeling that you would get a kick out of the netting love our boys indulged in. You can imagine how much fun I had picturing it in my head as I wrote it down. LOL! I still think the camel is my favorite odd spot, but who knows what this fevered brain of mine will come up with next. Btw, the elderly couple who commissioned the painting are fine but that second guy just happened to be Ethan's Detective. Oh yes, it could be a problem. Obviously neither Ethan or Kip have a life, so that's why they are so jealous of both Brian and Justin. Watch out in the future. All kinds of things can happen at a Circus...not all of them fun. Glad you had so much fun with this chapter, Lori. I want to finish up the final chapter of 'Officer....' and then I'll get right back to the Circus. Big huge hugs always, Grammy

Great the boys are enjoying their connection, but can't help being very nervous about a deranged Ethan.
But the image this chapter leaves in my head is Brain Kinney in sparkly tights......MMMmmn pleasant dreams tonight I think. x
Author's Response: Ah yes, Cherub68. Nothing brings a bigger smile to my face than Brain in tights. I'm glad I gave you an image to dream on. Thank you so much for your comments. Our boys will have double trouble to deal with, but at least they have each other too. Hopefully that will be enough to see them through. Big huge hugs, Grammy

how silly to think brian would want him out of his life and silly for justin to think the same.

Uh oh! That means Ethan and Kip have found them! Dum da dum dum!!! (My pathetic attempt at dramatic music!) So happy to see an update I think this may be one of my favs of yours! Loved that Justin just naturally chose to stay with Brian and Brian accepted the choice for what it was! Wonderful!! More soon please! :)
Author's Response: Love your dramatic music, Dphysh. And so very fitting for the situation too. Our poor boys are in a leaky boat and don't even know it yet. Thank heavens they will have each other to lean on during the crisis that is bound to happen, and very soon. There is strength in a love like theirs. They'll need it. I am so happy that you like this story so much. I love it even though it has less readers than many of my other ones. Of course I'm addicted to the Circus and have been since childhood, so it is so much fun to write in that arena. Trust me, we're getting back into the circus very quickly. Down time is nice, but we have to get Brian back into those tights and into the air again. LOL! More coming asap. Big huge hugs, Grammy

Now this was one fine chapter. It goes without saying that I hate Kip, but I've never seen him as a real threat to our boys. Justin was able to dispatch him with a simple bluff. Kip doesn't have the brain power to pose a real threat. I don't even need to set a badger on him. I think we can feed Kip to Ethan and that should give poor little Ethan a sour tummy and put him off his game a bit.
This chapter was good, I can just picture the knock out painting of Brian and the Apple, it's never been my favorite fruit but I may have to rethink it. Wouldn't that make the perfect addition to anyone sitting room, I mean with something like that on a wall you wouldn't need a TV. Of course a large supply of drool towels near by would be a must.
Thank you for another flawless chapter. I'm glad the gators haven't been a problem yet.
xoxox Lori
Author's Response: Hey Lori. I've always detested Kip too, but I've been wanting to make him even more dangerous than he was on the show and this was my chance. Ethan will be a problem, but it is Kip who is going to be the scary one, so I give you permission to bring out that badger and dig the hole really, really deep. Oh, see if you can find a gator while you're at it. LOL!
I'm willing to bet that you can guess where I got my inspiration for the description of that painting. Oh yes indeed, I want it hanging on my wall. Don't you wonder sometimes what they did with all those paintings and drawings from the series after the show was over? I wonder which gay member of the show got to keep the famous one of Brian that was displayed on the wall during the Art Show at the Gay and Lesbian Center when Jenn first saw Brian. Bet they had to pay for the privilege. LOL! I certainly would have.
Thanks again for your delightful comments Lori. They are so refreshing and fun. Much love, Grammy

Author's Response: I'm working on the next chapter right now Dphysh, so the drama is in the works. LOL! Unfortunately my beta, Judy, is out of the Country right now. Little stinker took a trip to America to see our beautiful Gale in a play in California. Ahhh, but who can blame her? As soon as she's back home I'll have the beta'd work ready to post. I'm smiling because of your online name. I love it and am wearing it this very minute as I'm writing this. They took a picture. i like how comfortable brian and justin are together.
another great chapter.
Author's Response: I'm very glad you enjoyed this long delayed chapter Sherrie. Sandy, this story couldn't have come at a better time. I needed a little break from reality. I have a sudden urge to find my old swimming suit. However I doubt my swim would be anywhere as exciting as Brian's. How bold of Brian to decide that Justin needed to save money by sharing an apartment with him. What a great little money manager he is. I can't wait for Brian to actually come out say how much he loves Justin. I know you're trying to make Mikey easy to like but I still have my problems with him, of course no where near the deep badger hate I have for sick twisted Ethan. So will you be taking bets on the subject of Justin's art work for the show...I bet it's no bowl of fruit! Thanks for such a wonderful chapter. Can't wait for more. I know Ethan will be showing up soon, I hope the elephant is ready to squash, or the tiger to scratch. Huge Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: Isn't the relationship between Brian and Justin just too yummy for words? Of course Ethan, the jerk is going to do his best to screw everything up, but Circus folks don't like people messing with one of their own. He just might find himself accidently stuffed inside one of their cannons and being shot out across the arena where some roustabout forgot to set up a net to catch him. Tsk Tsk! I'm glad you enjoyed the fun, my dear. I'll be sending off a letter tomorrow. I never got the chance to write anyone today. Can you believe it...it was freezing cold here and schools even shut down thanks to ice on the roads. Geez, you'd think we had moved to Pennsylvania. LOL! Tomorrow, I promise. Much love, Grammy

I love this fic thank you. Justin seems to be settled into the circus life and gaining more confidence. I fear though Ethan has some bad plans to spoil the little paradise Brian and Justin have going on :)Chris
Author's Response: What wonderful comments. Thank you Chris. Justin has indeed discovered that circus life is for him....and Brian is too, of course, but there are just some folks who don't know how to let go. Only time will tell if Brian will be able to teach Ethan the error of his ways, as well as deal with his disgruntled former co-worker. Stay tuned and thank you again for reviewing. It is much appreciated. Hugs, Grammy

I don't believe it, how in the world could someone find fault with one of Justin's work of art?!?! The woman must have mad cow disease. How hot to see Brian come rushing to save Justin from the nasty man. My Hero! And what a better way to celebrate a victory but a quickie on the floor, now that's some good lovin' gay boy style. I am afraid the off season is not going to be one happy day of boy sex after another. I am hoping that icky worm Ethan slips on a slippery patch of grass and oops, a hungry gator is just waiting with jaws open and months later people say Hey, remember that creepy scum sucker Ethan, wonder what happened to him. Then one day a game warden finds a bloated gator washed up on a beach and finds the decayed remains of Ethan deep inside the bowels bit up in hunks. But that's just what flits thru my mind when I think of Florida...I'm not into the Disney stuff...
Another wonderful chapter filled with hot steamy images...yum
Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: How indeed could someone not appreciate Justin's work? Earl & Elly were obviously too drunk to see straight. LOL! I kind of thought you'd enjoy that intervention by Brian. I always loved that scene in front of Woody's when Brian got so pissed at Chris for threatening Justin. The way he stepped between them and the look in his eyes. Chris sure did step back fast, didn't he? Anyone would if they saw how protective Brian is of his 'friend'. Love your images of Ethan's fate, but then I always love your vivid imagination. It certainly comes up with some great ideas. Hmmmmm?! More coming up soon as our boys settle in back home in Florida. Much love, Grammy

the near future does not bode well for our lovers. two nut cases are lying in wait for them. yes, ignorance is bliss. i fully agree.
i hope that detective doesn't make it to the town they were in last. earl or elly may just be the key to help ethan reach his goal of finding justin.
Author's Response: You have every right to be concerned Sherrie. It's bad enough that Justin has his stalker, but it looks like Brian has pissed off the wrong guy too. Double trouble, but first a bit more fun. This is the circus, after all. Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. Huge hugs, Grammy

Ohhh why did you take any pictures of Justin in that sexy skin tight leotard, in my cranium photo album, it's a deep gold tiger print with wide black stripes in a very shimmery fabric. The sweat beads up and follows the grooves of his muscles as it drips from his over heated body....I've got a really good camera~~
Ok, ok, ok, I'll say a good word about Ben and Michael...waaa hooo, there no need to over stay our welcome on that subject. Ben's a great guy and he likes Mike. No accounting for some tastes. He's wise up soon enough.
How soon till the boys move in full time and start to realize it's the real deal. I sense the impending doom, there are so many circus dangers I'm on edge to see what you pick. I hope it's above the normal bat to the head. Have you ever looked Baraboo Wisc? There is a Huge Circus thing there. We went every year, multiple times actually. It was the Historical Home for Barnum and Bailey, lots of wagon train stuff and I'm sure you could find some great research stuff there. Google and you shall see. Circus World Museum.
I like that Justin is finding plenty of time to draw. How fitting that his favotrite subject is Brian. mmmm another good chapter, finger licking good I might say.
Thanks for keeping me amused and aroused.
Author's Response: Oh Lori, I want a peek into your camera too. Sounds like you take some damned good photos. That is just what Justin's outfit looked like too. Of course Brian thought it looked better off him than on.
Thank you for your patience with so much Mikey news. I wanted this chapter to be from Debbie's POV so of course Mikey was in it. She can't help loving her only child. LOL!
Don't worry Lori, I promise no bats to the head this time, but you are so right about all the dangers inherant with circus life. Our boys will have to be cautious, but not just yet. They still have to settle into this 'friends with benefits' mode they are in right now. Seems they are the only ones who haven't caught on that they are falling in love. That will change.
Btw, thanks so much for the ideas for future research on circuses. I will most defintely use them. You are too good to me. I'm just glad that I amused and aroused you. LOL! My job is done....oh not the story, just my job. Sorry!

I'm so glad Justin is enjoying his circus life. I loved the image of him flying thru the air and ending up being caught by the strong arms of Brian... yum...of course in my mind they are both naked but I realize that would be a whole different kind of circus! I hope the slow season for the circus leads to a little more time for action with the boys. What a great way to add Ben to the mix. I assume Mikey will get his itch scratch at long last. Put a smile on his stupid face and keep him busy so Brian and Justin can grab some alone time without being watched. I'm amazed with the fast updates you've been kicking out. How wonderful!!
Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: Lori, you little scamp....flying through the air naked?! Don't forget that Summer is over. They could freeze their little tushies off. LOL! I'm glad you liked the introduction of Ben. I had to find a distraction for Mikey so I could keep him out of our boy's hair while they are getting closer and closer. We already had roustabout Drew so that idea was out. Besides I like the cerebral Professor so I had to find a way to make it work. What better way than research for a book? I don't know what has gotten into me but the ideas for these two stories have been flowing so smoothly that I just have to sit down and write them. I'm afraid my 'Heat' story has fallen by the wayside temporarily, but it isn't abandoned. I will get back to it soon. In the meantime, let the ideas flow for this story and 'Officer...' because I love them so. Thanks for your wonderful comments my friend. Much love, Grammy

finally a reason to put a smile on michael's face, the arrival of one professor. i'm glad that brian and justin's relationship isn't based solely on sex. it should start with friendship first. and now he's learning the trapeze. that's all well and good, but what's to happen when it's time for him to go back to school?
as usual another fanastic chapter.
Author's Response: Ah yes, looks like Mikey is going to be distracted in the future. In this story Brian and Justin are more equals even with the age difference. I love writing about their friendship as well as their sexual connection to each other. I'm very glad you like that part. As far as Justin's future schooling....well only time will tell what happens there. First they will have to go through a lot of adventures to reach that point. Stay tuned. Well well well, Hi how are, what a mouthful...no long courtship this time!! I hope that this quick hot start will not make it hard for them to find the love that I know they need to make this last. It seems Justin is not really ready for a long term full on loving relationship and Brian thinks he wants a new hole in every city. Can't wait to see how it all works out. What a mind blowing chapter, the unexpected little suck off really knocked me off my perch. What a shock. Now I'm just sitting here not knowing what to expect next. I just don't want to see any 3 ways with a big shoe clown.
Thanks for a thrilling chapter, I can smell the cottoncandy.
Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: Hey Lori, good to hear from you my dear friend. You are right about Justin. He is still a romantic who deep down wants to be in love, but his first experience with a serious relationship misfired very badly and he doesn't really trust his judgment right now. Brian is.....well, Brian. He simply doesn't have the urge to settle for love when he's having so much fun and enjoying the way things are. If you'll notice, however, Brian is already opening up to Justin in a way he normally doesn't with anyone else. As Brian says, they will certainly become 'good' friends. Of course some interesting events may lead to more. Be patient. We've only just begun. Oh, and don't worry about a 3 way with that clown. I hate 3 ways and could allude to one but don't think I'll ever write one. It just isn't me. LOL! Now however....that lion tamer is a delicious piece of masculinity! Hmmmmmm?

Author's Response: Thank you so much Rose. This Brian doesn't have as many axes to grind as many of our Brians so he can be friendlier. That doesn't mean he intends to allow himself to fall in love easily, but some things just can't be helped. LOL! Of course, he and Justin are more on a level playing field this time around so there will be some differences from the usual. Hope you will enjoy them. Big huge hugs, Grammy

This is fun. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thank you Kate. There is nothing more fun than a day at the circus...especially when it is peopled by folks like our Brian and Justin. Big hugs, Grammy

Hmmm, I wonder if this ancient Jeep might have a bit of car trouble along the way....perhaps they might need to pull over to the side of the road, I bet it will take hours to get help. How could they pass the time???? and if there was a waterfall close by, oh how perfect would that be. Of course around about this time a camel would escape from the circus and it's love of Brian would lead him to Brian. Since Triple A is slower then can be Brian and Justin would be more then pleased to hop aboard Sir Humpy and get a ride to the big top. That's what just flitted thru my mind when the old jeep was mentioned. Now if it had been a new shiny black one I never would have thought of road side trouble. I just keep hoping that we can find a spot for another camel ride... This was a nice chapter, lots of info to set up a good base to build on. I am impressed that Brian is the prowler here, he sees some new cute boy candy and pounces quickly. I can't wait to see where this story goes. I hope the circus travels around the US and goes to some well known places. As always thanks so much for another oh so good to the last drop story.
Hugs and snuggles, Lori
Author's Response: Oh my, Lori, with your wonderfully colorful imagination I think you should be writing some stories too. LOL! I love where your mind leads you when you read my stories. Hmmm, if I can't get our boys onto that camel, what do you think about an elephant ride? I have every plan to send our boys all over and there will be some fun adventures. As you'll notice, Brian and Justin are more on a level playing field this time around. Justin is no virginal innocent waiting to be taught lessons. The only thing he hasn't learned is the difference between sex for fun and sex for love. In that case, the two men will maybe have to teach each other. Stay tuned for some wild adventures. I dooooo love the circus so!! Thank you again for making my day with your wonderful comments. Much love, Grammy

I love how you added Em, Drew, Ted and Blake as the roommates and how Brian is flirting with Justin. I can't wait to rad more :)
Author's Response: You won't have to wait long Sara. There are going to be some exciting times ahead for our young artist. Check back very soon. Thank you for taking the time to comment for me. It is much appreciated. Big hugs, Grammy

omg i'm so in love with this story. sandy, i do indeed agree that drew makes a wonderful roustabout. emmett doing the costumes fits, and the way you wove ted and blake in is just great.
how slick was brian about telling justin he was gay and finding out justin was gay too.
i can't wait until they're in the car together. they'll have some wonderful conversations i'm sure.
Author's Response: I absolutely loved finding just the right spots for all our boys. Soon we'll have a few original characters for the gang to deal with too, but meantime friendships will certainly grow in such close quarters. I'll be giving everyone a clear picture as to what the first month is like for Justin, so that first long conversation between Justin and Brian will no doubt be a part of it. Stay tuned Sherrie, and thank you so much for all your great comments. Big huge hugs, Grammy

Wow... I can't believe that slimy Ethan..had the nerve to have Justin followed... but... I am glad that it made Justin decide to apply for the circus job... Brian is going to be in for a big surprise.... update soon...
Author's Response: Unfortunately, in this Alternate Universe, Ethan comes from wealth and has the means to make poor Justin's life miserable but things are about to improve a great deal for our young artist. Stay tuned for the second meeting of brunet and blond and thank you so much for commenting BluvsJ. Big hugs, Grammy

OMG... I love this... The Novotny Family Circus... with Mikey the Clown... lol.. I always thought those dinners at Deb's house was like a three ring circus... I am so glad the Brian and Justin bumped into each other... can't wait to see what happens next..
Author's Response: I never thought about Deb's house resembling a circus, but you are soooo right BluvsJ. She and the rest of the gang will fit into this scenario quite comfortably, especially Mikey as clown. He made a very good one on the show, didn't he? LOL! Thank you so much for checking out my newest story and I hope you will continue to enjoy it. Big huge hugs, Grammy

Yikes, I can see we have to get rid of Ethan and QUICK. I'm so glad Justin had a nice cold can of Dr. Pepper to quench his thirst and was able to poor that bottle of fizzy bubbles down the drain where it belonged. Thank you so much for that special touch, I always feel so special when I get those little gifts from you. Now I have to wait for the next chapter to see if Justin learns a circus trick or two...can't wait. A wonderful chapter, even if there was no hot steamy boy sex...I know something must happen soon.
Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: You are most welcome for your little gift Lori. I had to do something to make up for the lack of steam in my latest chapters. LOL! Besides, a nice cold can of Dr. Pepper is definitley preferable to an expensive bottle of champagne from someone like Ethan, wouldn't you agree? Now don't worry about the loving. I'm not dragging out their connection the way I had to with 'Heat....' cause things move faster in the circus. The stage will be set real quick in the next chapter so hurry back. Much love and huge hugs, Grammy

I can't wait for Brian and Justin to meet again. Hpefully Justin will get the job :)
Author's Response: I have a feeling that Justin will have the chance to find out if Brian really did smile at him after his performance, or if it was just wishful thinking on the young man's part. LOL! Stay tuned and thank you so much for commenting Sara. Big hugs, Grammy

well at least ethan was good for something. bringing justin and brian together once again. very good chapter. can't wait until he gets to the circus.
Author's Response: Don't worry Sherrie, you won't have long to wait for a second meeting between the flyer and the artist. Poor pathetic Ethan has no idea what he has set in motion. Heh heh!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful comments. Big huge hugs, Grammy

ooh. love smacked right into him and he didn't even notice. yum.
sandy, i love you background stories. always puts things in their proper place.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the compliment Sherrie. I really enjoy fleshing out my characters (even the ones known so well like our beautiful B & J) because it makes them more human and accessible to us. I'm glad you enjoy that. Poor Brian has stumbled onto something special but he won't know at first. Ahhh, but time will tell how special. Big huge hugs, Grammy

I have no idea how I missed this, but I'm so glad that I've caught it now. I loved the first two chapters. I can' wait to see what happens.
Author's Response: I'm really glad you found the story too Jackie. I've always loved the circus and fantasized joining it as a child. Let's just say I'm living an old dream vicariously. I promise you lots of glitz and glamour to go along with lots of loving. Thank you so much for joining the cirucus with me. Big huge hugs, Grammy

How did I manage to miss this?? Must be my eyes acting up. I'm hooked!! The image of Brian in a spangly unitard is a pretty picture, add a little glitter and WOW. To bad I'm scared of heights. I will have to worship from the ground, and maybe toss a roasted peanut or two. How soon till Kip get stepped on by the elephant? Can't wait for the next chapter.
Hugs, Lori
Author's Response: Ah ha! So I slipped a new story past you huh? Yep, it must be those wonky green visioned eyes but I always say better late than never. LOL! Can you imagine how much I enjoy the vision of Brian in his body hugging tights? I love it almost as much as he does. Don't worry about pathetic Kip. He will end up watching out for more than a rogue elephant. Glad to have you with me hon. You'd better take good care of yourself. You know how much I value your opinions. Much love, Grammy

please, don´t stop.... I want more :-)) rose
Author's Response: Oh you don't need to worry about my stopping Rose. I love the circus and still drool over all those gorgeous men in their spangly costumes flying through the air. Brian and Justin's love will be flying high in this story. Thank you so much for the comments. Big hugs, Grammy
