Can't get away from Kleenex in the chapter. Glad that Jenny is in good place & well taken care off.
Oh..Brian such a father figure, no need words just his actions speaks for itself and understand Shane.
Beautiful.
Author's Response: Thank you, so very much! I'm delighted you liked the chapter, even though a few tears and Kleenex were involved :)
Yes, Jenny is finally in a loving and caring place living with her dads.
Brian indeed has a big heart. However, most of the outside world doesn't know it...but Justin and Gus do!! And now with Shane, Brian is showing him a bit more of his fatherly, compassionate side, too!
I'm very appreciative of your support of this story through reading and commenting on it!! I'm so immensely grateful for both...thank you!!

Poor Shane! So glad he found Gus, Justin and Brian.
What a horrible mom Melanie turned out to be!
Author's Response: It is a wonderful thing that Shane has Gus in his life, and that he also has the support of Justin and Brian as well!
The emotional pain Mel caused J.R. is sad, but now that Michael and Ben have full custody of her, I think she's going to be much happier :)
Thank you so very much for your feedback! I'm so happy that you are continuing to enjoy the story! Your comments and support are immensely appreciated!!

So happy to find your update! And what a chapter - again. So many emotions!
Jenny finally with her dads for good - yeah! But Mel .... I have no words. And not to forget Lindsay, Shane absolutely hit the nail on the head about her behavior. Great!
And then Shane finally revealing his own personal tragedy ... poor boy. Good for him to have Gus at his side - and Brian and Justin, too.
Looking forward to more :)
Author's Response: Yes, a lot of emotions filled this chapter. Having so many emotions was inevitable really, dealing mainly with the custody battle over J.R. But, happily, she is now with her dads!! :)
Shane indeed hit the nail on the head, and with so few words he got the meaning across loud and clear. With Shane now having been open about his past and telling about his own homopobic father, I think that Brian in particular, will now look on him differently, in a more understanding and empathetic way. And you're rigt...gladly, Shane also has Gus by his side, as well as having Justin's support in addition to Brian's.
I immensely appreciate your supportive and encouraging feedback!! Thank you for reading the story, and as always, for commenting! I hope you continue to enjoy the story!!

Is it me or Emmet and Drew aren't in the 2nd part of your story ?
By the way, I'm a little bit aggravated because I read this part of the story before "To be or not to be" because I didn't know it was a sequel. It is better to know before reading them !! It's an amazing story who trully should be read in order...
I can't wait to know what you have in store for their fammilly. Your plots are incredible, full of emotion and I love those stories !
Author's Response: I'm immensely grateful for your comment about the sequel, "To Be, Or Not To Be." I should have put that bit of information in the summary section of this story, but I guess I simply overlooked it. However, thankfully, it as now been corrected :)
Regarding Emmett and Drew...I've mentioned them in this story, although only very briefly. I didn't have any intentions on omitting or ignoring them, and I definately have nothing negative regarding either character. This second part of the story focuses mainly on the lives of Gus, J.R., Brian, and Justin, but Emmett and Drew will be mentioned a few more times :)
I'm so grateful for your insightful feedback! Thank you for reading this story and it's prequel; I'm deligted to know you are enjoying it!! Your support is greatly appreciated!!

I ran the gamut of emotions reading this chapter. I laughed, cried, fumed and empathized. Thank everything holy that J.R. is right where she needs to be. Gus made me so proud for giving Lindsay a true picture of herself...the same goes in regards to the way J.R. handled Mel.
Poor Shane though...how can a parent be that cruel? I hope for his sake that he gets the chance to tell his father how he really feels. Excellent work as always.
Author's Response: It was an emotional chapter, pretty much covering the spectrum, but I tried to offset it by having some humorous moments :) I'm so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed reading it!!
You are absolutely right...thankfully, J.R. is exactly where she needs to be! Yes, both Gus and J.R. were very brave to stand up to their moms. (I'm glad you liked that part!) Gus and J.R. toldl Mel and Lindsay EXACTLY how they felt, and how their moms' lack of involvement in their lives had affected them both. They're good kids, and both have a set of fathers who are determined to do everything they can for them, and to always be there when they need them.
Unfortunately, Shane's fater falls into the same catagory as Jack Kinney and Craig Taylor; although he's proably worse. However, the silver lining is that Brian and Justin can relate to Shane in the area of having a bad father. It's a wonderful thing for Shane to now have the support of Gus, Brian, and Justin. Having 2 father-figures in his life is promising.
I am so very appreciative for your thoughtful and insightful comments!! Your ongoing support and encouragement truly means a lot!! Thank you!!

Great chapter. Glad JR gets to stay with her Dads. Shane is lucky to have Gus along with B&J in his life. Was really happy to see your update!! Bill
Author's Response: I appreciate that, Bill, so immensely!! Thank you for your ongoing support!! :)
Yep, we can breathe a sigh of relief that J.R. is now with her dads permanently! And Shane is indeed lucky to have Gus, Brian, and Justin in his life. He's a nice young man, and I think he fits in nicely with the Kinney's.
I'm so thrilled you are continuing to enjoy this story; it means a lot!! Thanks again for reading, and for your feedback! I'm so very grateful for both!!

I got the feeling during the show and now here in this chapter, Mel never really wanted to be a mother. She just wanted to prove she could. I think that why in the show she went and had the operation to clear her endometreosus (sp). Anyhow, Brian hit it right on the head. It was always about the case. Proof in point was how you had her say good-bye to Jenny. She'll be much better without Mel and Lindsay. Amazing how quickly Shane became attuned to the onset of Gus' anxiety and panic attacks. Certainly made good in Brian's book. He has a whole new family. It's what he needs. His father belongs right up there vying for father of the year with Jack and Craig. This is a wonderful story, and you're doing a great job.
Author's Response: Thank you so very much!!
I totally agree with you...I got the same impression when watching the show about Mel being a mother. In one episode, right after Mel discovered she was pregnant, Mel stated to Lindsay she'd, "Never be the type of moter who would be willing to give everything up to be with their kid 24/7." Mel's life centered on her career, and in this story, with harsh consequences. Yes, the goodbye scene was sad for sweet J.R., yet I thought it fit with the whole of Mel's behavior. I don't think it would have worked had Mel been emotional, sentimental, or motherly, as we haven't seen those aspects to her character in this story.
I believe that Shane, at 26-years-old, would have a more deliberate focus after Gus told him all about his tragic accident. He was then able to observe Gus and become more attuned to him. Also, the very first time Gus ever met Shane, he had a panic attack right in front of him. And Shane also witnessed a few more, directly after that.
Indeed, Shane is definately growing on our illustrious Brian Kinney :) And Shane now has the support of the three Kinney men.
I'm immensely grateful for your continued support and encouraging words! It's so wonderful to hear that you are enjoying the story, and your insightful feedback is much apprecited!!

What a great chapter. I'm so glad the Mikey and Ben got custody of Jenny Rebecca. Really if their lawyer had let Mel and Linds lawyer see the video Gus had made it would have made a world of difference. Their lawyer would have had to have been a total dick to not be moved. It's so sad about Shane, but he's got Gus now.
Author's Response: I'm so delighted to know you enjoyed this capter!! Thank you!!
I struggled with the decision on whether or not to put the video in this chapter to help with J.R.'s custody case, as far as the other lawyer and the rest of the family seeing it. I chose not to use it though, due to the fact that the situation was already very emotional. I didn't want to add additional turmoil to J.R., or to Gus, as by this part of the story, the siblings had been through quite a lot already.
I think Jenny Rebecca will be very happy with her dads. There migt be a few amusing moments as they adjust, but it's to be expected :)
Yes, it's wonderful that Shane has Gus, (and Brian and Justin's support, too!) Shane has been through his own heartbreak, but he and Gus together share a bond that is growing.
I'm so incredibly thankful for your continued encouragement and feedback, and for all of your support of this story!!
