A really fun read! I

Reviewer: TTFBarnett (Signed) · Date: November 14, 2015 05:07 PM · On: Dogged Determination

I love your writing and you're one of my favourite, if not my favourite, QaF fanfic writers. I've been following your Tricky Universe fanfics since just after you wrote Framed for Christmas and I always love seeing that you've started a new story (not just in this series). I think your Brian and Justin are the most 'in character' versions I've read in the QaF fandom.

Keep up the good work :)

Author's Response:

Hi, Tori! I know this is almost a year late (hiding under desk now).  But somehow I overlooked this one, so I wanted to still respond to it.  Your kind words make me very happy to read.  I was thinking about you the other day, and how I wish I could see a new story from you.  I hope you will consider doing that sometime. And when and if you do, I would be glad to help you with a banner.  :)

So a VERY belated thank you for reading, and especially for your kind comments.  I don't know if you're still reading QAF fic or not, but I miss you on here!  Hope you are well.  ~Kim

Thanks for the info on how to leave reviews! Every time I would try the numbers never matched.

I have just finished the other Tricky stories and can't wait to start this one. Such fun cute tales!!

Author's Response:

Hi, Amanda! I'm glad that it helped. :)  Thank you for reading the Tricky series, and for the comments. I'm happy that you've enjoyed them. *Hugs* ~Kim

loved this so much.... so sorry it had to end can not wait to see wot u write next

Author's Response:

Hi, Sharon!  How kind of you to read and especially take the time to comment! Thank you for both. I'm so happy that you enjoyed it! I'm going to concentrate on trying to wrap up my two WIPs soon, but I DO have a possible short story for Christmas that I will be working on behind the scenes. And, as usual, I have a ton of story ideas floating around in my head that I hope to get to eventually.:)

Thank you so much for reading this story, and for the support! They are both much appreciated. *Hugs* ~Kim

Sorry it took me so long.  My daughter and her husband came in from Japan and stayed in the room with my computer, leaving me without a way to read and comment, not to mention no free time.  I can already see that I'm gonna love this story.  Justin comparing the dog to Brian - hilarious.  But then we all knew that it was a foregone conclusion.  Justin gets what Justin wants.

What a treat to come back from holiday and find another instalment in this arc, just love it.

Author's Response:

Hi, there! I'm so glad that you enjoy the Tricky stories, and are enjoying this latest installment.  Things will start to get pretty hectic in the next chapter, when Xena's dad shows up at last.;)

I'm hoping to get the next part up sometime tonight. Thank you again for taking the time to read, and especially comment! I realy appreciate you taking the time to do that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Honestly, I don't like pets… So I'm not fan of stories about dogs. But, anyways, I'm reading your story with pleasure because it's a Brian & Justin fic… and I'm looking forward to see how you imagine their wedding !! Thanks Kim!

Author's Response:

Hi, there!  I appreciate you giving this story a try, even though pets are not your favorites.  I hope you do enjoy it nonetheless.  At least you had some B and J smut in this chapter.;)

I will have the next part up soon; thank you again for deciding to read this one, and especially for the feedback. I greatly appreciate that. *Hugs* ~Kim

Not enough reviews???? Doubting your writing ability??? Are you serious???? Or just seriously loco?

First.......Don't EVER doubt your ability. Like...EVER. Period.

As for reviews, well...there's always a steep difference in the readership and the reviews. You just have to take it in stride. But you get HUNDREDS of reviews per story. Let's say that again. HUNDREDS.  per story It makes me jealous just thinking of it. My record for review is 138 and the Little Merman while readership keeps going remains at ....59. That s the best thing I ever wrote ...and....59. So...yeah.

Lastly, fanfic should not be about the adoration or reviews or whatever. It's fiction to keeping our fanship of QAF alive despite the show regrettably ending before its time. There's another author....somewhere on this site, his name has slipped my mind right now..... who has purposely extended his story to reach 1000 reviews to satisfy a confessed ego trip. This is ridiculous.

If you need to take a break or even write something else, go ahead but for the Love of Spongebob and all things squooshy, don't stop because you think you're not good enough. I might be takin a break soon as well and I m for sure slowing down

We all love ya Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Jon! You're very sweet. Thank you for the pep talk.;)  Not sure about 'hundreds' of reviews; if I do get that many, it's normally due to the longer stories I tend to write.;)  I treasure each and every review that I get, don't get me wrong. And while I agree that fan fiction should not be all about reviews, I still need that validation that what I'm writing continues to be interesting to readers.  I know I can write well as far as punctuation, spelling, and grammar goes, but is WHAT I'm writing still enjoyable and read-worthy? That is why I need the feedback.  That's just me; I can't speak for other writers. It's more difficult for me to keep updating as quickly as some others do on a more regular basis due to everything I have going on at the moment, but I hope readers will bear with me as I work through the stories.  Once I get done with the two WIPs, I haven't decided what I will do.  I would love to keep writing these, if others are interested. But time will tell, I suppose.

Thank you for always being so supportive, Jon. And after your slow down, I do hope you will return back to the site to write some more. It would not be the same without your quirky sense of humor in your stories, and the unique way only you can write them! *Hugs* ~Kim

Reviewer: Lorie (Signed) · Date: August 15, 2015 05:39 AM · On: Dogged Determination

Very sweet and hilarious. Love the way Justin gets what he wants. Brian is such a softy when it comes to the one he loves more than life itself.

Please don't stop writing, your stories are wonderful and so full of life.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lorie!  I am woefully behind on answering reviews; I normally get to them quicker than this, but it's been extremely busy for me this past week. First of all, thank you for your kind words about my writing; that really touches me, and lets me know if others are still enjoying what I write.  It means so much to me.:)

As for the story, yeah, Brian huffs and puffs a lot, but in the end he's pretty much powerless to say no to his two favorite boys.;)  In the upcoming chapters, he will have to do a lot of that.;)

Thanks for reading this story, and especially for the feedback, Lorie! Much appreciated. *Hugs* ~Kim

"You took food over to that canine slut's owner?"

I loved Brian's comments in this chapter. His love hate of Tricky and his progeny was as entertaining as always.  Even though Justin's persuasive tactics were eye opening for Brian, it was the the reminder of how Cujo/Tricky saved Justin and Gus' lives that did the trick. I could see that be the trump card only used when nothing else worked. Brian held out pretty well.

I hate to hear about you or any other devoted writer giving up. I don't know about about any other reader, but as I have have gotten up in years, so has my family and helath issues are escalating. I wonder if that is the case for other readers - an aging population. Nevertheless, I have always admired any writer who has taken the time out of their busy lives to provide some much needed relief and distraction from some of the drudgery or disappointment of RL. Again, I believe you were the first author I read in this fandom and you are one of the reasons I am still here today reading when I should be working on a resume`, lol.

As far as leaving reviews anonymously, I have tried several times to re-register after forgetting my password and I received no response. I took that as a sign. I needed to prioritize. I still read but not as timely as before or as I would like or as consistently. But I can't see myself ever leaving the QAF world, completely.

Sandra :)

PS: I keep forgetting to change the font size so there are probably more errors than norm.

Author's Response:

Hi, Sandra! I was delighted to hear from you.   I know you have been one of my most loyal followers pretty much since the beginning, and I really appreciate that.  To say that I am busy is an understatement. Sigh...I was at work last night until 8:00 p.m., and have two more late nights next week.  I won't get into everything that I have to do, but suffice to say that it keeps me just this shy of tearing what little hair I have left completely out - ha!

You may be right about the lack of responses, but I still get easily discouraged when I don't receive very many, and it always makes me wonder if the interest in them is waning. The readers who have taken time to leave comments on this story, though, have lifted my sprits somewhat. I stil have precious little time, and still am not sure how long I can keep writing and taking care of so many other things, but I will see once I get my two WIPs done.

Thank you again for all the support.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Eeek, I meant "readers", not "traders". Darn spellcheck! Lol Also, I meant "she", not "he", for the dog training. :)

I'm so excited about a new story in the Tricky universe!! The wedding is coming up, and Justin only wants a puppy! LOLOL So Brian finally caved, was there any question that he would eventually? Justin finally resorted to emotional manipulation to convince him, ha! Puppies are soooooo cute, and I have a feeling that Brian won't be able to stay stoic in the face of all that puppy love and big eyes. :D We'll see how well trained he is now! I hope many traders comment to keep the feedback coming in. It's always nice to know if a story is appreciated, and writing is not easy. Big hugs and kudos to you; I always love your stories!

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend!  Yeah, great time on Justin's part to want a puppy before the wedding.;)  Something tells me that Xena and weddings - and Tricky in the mix - is not going to make for a smooth ceremony, but would we have it any other way?  LOL! Sure...they'll be able to keep them away from the wedding.;)

So pleased that you are excited about a new story involving my favorite rambunctious pooch! Thank you for your kind words and support.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Aww, the return of Tricky... and his offspring! Can't wait for the mayhem, LOL!

BTW... For some reason, I keep reading the title as, "I Doo, I Doo!" o_O

Author's Response:

Hi, Trish!  Actually, I had the title as that initially, but there is a reason why I changed it.;)  You'll find out soon.;)  I'm still hoping to get Ch. 2 up tonight.  Glad that you are enjoying it. TY for letting me know, and for reading.  ~Kim

Author's Response:

Hi, Susana!  I'm so happy to hear from you!  Thank you for reading this first chapter, and for all the support you have given me over the years; it really does make a difference to know that readers are still enjoying what I write. I may take a short break for a while after I'm done with my two WIPs, but hopefully I will be reenergized to continue with a new one. Another great story to look forward from Predec2 (Kim)!

Thank you for keeping Brian and Justin love on your stories. It is never boring! I like your Brian in every story you made.

Please don't stop writing..... :(

Author's Response:

Hello, Ana! First, I'd like to welcome you as a new member to the site; thanks for registering on here! Secondly, I am so flattered by your kind words, and delighted that you enjoyed the first chapter and that you like my other stories. Thank you for the support and encouragement.  I think I just need a little rest after I finish up my two WIPs.  As tired as I am right now, I have so many stories started that I would hate to give that up.  I'll see how it goes.;)

Thank you, though, for taking the time to leave me your thoughts, and to let me know that you enjoy what I write. I am very grateful for that, and as a writer it means the world to me.  I hope to hear from you again. *Hugs* ~Kim

Author's Response:

Thank you, Shari!  You are the first one to comment on the title; let's just say it WILL have a 'deeper' meaning coming up.;)  I'm glad you enjoyed the first chapter, and I am especially grateful that you took the time to leave feedback; that is so important to me to gauge whether or not readers are still enjoying what I write. Thank you for the support; I should have Ch. 2 up sometime this evening. *Hug*~Kim

I wouldn't be surpised if this story is from Kim, because it's beautifully written and I love Justin and Brian here, Justin is wanting the lilttle puppy is really cute

and pls don't stop writing, I would be really sad because you one of people on this fandom who can write Brian and Justin like crazy in love with one to another and the whole readers can feel their love and passion, and you have this easy way to describe and actualize them into words. I also do really hope that RL will alow you to write more and more, thank you Kim!

Author's Response:

Aww...thank you, Meoly, for your kind words; I appreciate that more than you will ever know.  I just think I need some time to recharge, and some reassurance that others are still interested in what I am writing.   Everyone's comments the past couple of days have really touched me, including yours. Thank you for reading this first chapter, and especially for the lovely support.  I'm hoping to have Ch. 2 up tonight as soon as I finish some beta work. *Hugs*  ~Kim

Lol I was so upset I forgot to leave a comment lol.

Yea!!!! Tricky is back!!!! He's the dog I love to hate and never wanted! Haha ( cat lover here hehe) I knew Brian would break down and say yes for a puppy, like u said he can never say no to Justin lol
I am glad this "Tricky/off spring adventure continues!! Whoo Hoo!!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Tanya - you are very considerate to do that.  Yes, Justin's not-so-subtle hints, along with some other types of persuasion, did the trick here (pardon the pun!).  Poor Brian's abouit to find out what it's like to have two mischief makers in the house, and the results are not going to be pleasant! This is going to be a true test of just how devoted a certain brunet is to his partner!

Thanks again for reading, and for all the encouragement, Tanya! You are very kind. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!  ~Kim

OMG! OMG! JUST GOT HOME FROM WORK AND LINDC TOLD ME WHAT YOU HAD WRITTEN IN YOUR MINI-SPEECH. IF YOU EVER STOP WRITING ON HERE WILL HAVE A CORONARY. I KNOW, AS LINDC TOLD ME, HOW BUSY YOU ARE BUT, TO PLEAD MY OR OUR CASE==WE HAVE BEEN READING YOUR STORIES SINCE YOU STARTED ON MW--HOW MANY YEARS NOW-SIX I THINK, ANYWAY THAT'S WHAT LINDC SAID. I READ HER REVIEW AND I DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THAT. SIMPLY SAID-YOU CAN'T QUIT. YOU CAN WRITE TWICE A MONTH OR ONCE A MONTH WE DON'T CARE-JUST DON'T STOP WRITING PLEASE. THIS IS MY GO TO PLACE WHEN I AM TIRED FROM WORK. READING YOUR STORIES HELPS ME IN WAYS I CAN'T EXPLAIN. THIS STORY IS GOING TO HAVE A LOT OF HUMOR JUSTIN SEEMS TO GET HIS WAY AND IT'S A NICE READ HOW HE ACCOMPLISHES HIS WISHES. BRIAN IS DOOMED WHEN HE PUTS HIS MIND TO IT. THIS PUPPY IS GOINGTO BE HIS DOWNFALL AS HE IS GOING TO LOVE HER. PLEASE TAKE THESE HUMBLE COMMENTS TO HEART AND SEND MY LOVE TO YOUR MOM. LUV2U

Author's Response:

My dear Lee - you are such a sweet man! I don't know what I did to deserve yours and Lindc's support - along with all the peeps - but whatever it was, I will always be grateful.  What a kind person you are, and your words mean the world to me. I can't think of a greater compliment than to have someone tell me they read my stories to escape from the stress of the world. I think in a way that is why I write them, b/c for just a little while I can be somewhere else and be someone else.

All the wonderful comments have really lifted my spirits, and while things will continue to be extremely hectic, you know I won't abandon my two stories in addition to this one, which will be fairly short.  I have many stories I still want to write. It would take me a while with my present schedule, but hopefully I'll have a chance to recharge my batteries somehow once they are done and I can write a new one then.

I will do my best. It really helps more than people know, just to have them tell me they are still enjoying reading these.

As for this particular story, things will start to get pretty hectic soon, once the girls, Gus, and especially Tricky arrive. Of course, Gus will be thrilled to have two dogs around! Brian, no so much...ha!  And let's just say that the puppy may just be a chip off the old block in the mischief department.;)

You are such a sweetheart, Lee, and I feel lucky to have you, lindc, and the peeps as my faithful readers. That - along with your support and friendship - mean more than you will ever know, Thank you for taking the time to jot down your feelings.  Let's see how it goes.;)  Take care, and keep in touch! Ch. 2 should be tomorrow.  Sending my love back to you, too, and a big hug!  ~Kim

Do you know how happy I was to see this story waiting for me in my inbox today? I freaking LOVE this little universe you have created. It makes me so stinking happy to see them living so happy and domesticated - while still remaining in character (well done, you!)

I am still laughing my ass off at "canine slut's owner?" I literally read that line about 10 times and my laughter just got more and more out of control. Best line in a fanfic EVER!

How cute is Justin, wanting a little puppy and having to almost guilt Brian in to letting him have one? He can't deny that boy anything, and that's freaking adorable.

Thank you thank you thank you for writing this. It is honestly one of my favourite stories - not just THIS one, but this little world you have created. I hope you continue this.

ALSO, BRIAN IN GLASSES = MEOOOOOOOOW

Author's Response:

Hi, Sally! Wow, your comments really make me smile; thank you for that.;)  I do enjoy creating havoc in Brian's life. I think in a way he's gotten used to it around Tricky, but now it's multiplied.  I wonder if father or daughter will corrupt the other, or it will be mutual?  We will find out coming up.;)

As for Brian doing everything that Justin wants...hmm..even HE may be hard pressed to cooperate once he finds out something later in the story (sorry, won't give it away; don't want to spoil it for you).;)

Thank you for the encouragement.  I do need to refresh myself and recharge my batteries. But I have so many stories I would still like to write. Perhaps once I am done with my two WIPs, I will revisit whether or not to continue writing. I appreciate everyone's comments on the first chapter; that really makes me feel better.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!  ~Kim

BTW, I loved that line about Sadie being a 'canine slut,' too.;)  Oh, and have a blast with Randy in P-town! You don't know how much I wish I could be there, but hopefully you and the others will take lots of pics and vids!  Have fun!

I did not mean you actually you bore the brunt when I noticed another writer you can figure it out if you look added some little nothing instead of adding another chapter to their series at least 2 of them that have been floundering for months and I apologize profusely for you thinking I meant you I love your stuff and hope you never stop writing it.

i should have been more clear in my comments I am tired of commenting to the other writer since it gets no results not even a response so please accept my apologies for a rant not meant for you and please continue to write I do love your stuff

Author's Response:

Thank you for clarifying that. I am very relieved that it was not directed at me, and I am sorry if my own comments came across as harsh. It's just that I am so careful about never leaving a story unfinished, and responding to all my comments that I reacted impetuously to your remarks. Again, please accept my apologies as well, and I hope you continue to enjoy the story.  I will have the next chapter up tomorrow.  Thanks again. ~Kim

The Cujo universe is hilarious as it definitely everything Brian would hate lol. That Justin is a sneaky man he knows anything he needs Brian to agree to is a coordinated plan. Justin knows better than Brian what Brian needs And he is just the creative man to show him lol

Author's Response:

Thank you for the comments, and for reading the first chapter, Chris! I hope you enjoy the rest. Poor Brian will have his hands full, and will have a big dilemma on his hands soon.;)  I know, I'm a tease.:)

Thanks again for reading, Chris  ~Kim

Kim if you stop writing well....I don’t even want to fathom the idea that we won’t be blessed with any more of your stories. I must admit to being one of those authors who has been a doubting Thomas so to speak about my writing ability. So let's say we make a deal, I won't give up if you don’t ;)

Can't wait for the next chapter to see what kind of mischief Sadie jr gets into lol

Author's Response:

Tamara, you are too kind. And you have always been so supportive of me and so many other authors. For that, I will always be grateful no matter WHAT happens.  As for your own ability, I think you are definitely shortchanging yourself. :)

I guess it's just that I have so much on my plate that when I DO have time to write and post, if I don't get a lot of feedback, it always makes me doubt myself.  So the encouragement I have received for this first chapter is very heartwarming and much appreciated. I will finish my two WIPs first and perhaps throw in a one-shot or two in between before I decide what to do.  I definitely need to recharge my batteries, though!

Thanks again for all the support you give so many on this site.  ~Kim

Yay!  I've missed this series with Tricky so much!   All of the stories were hysterical!   I'm thrilled that Justin convinced Brian to let him take the puppy.  Please DO continue with this.  I look forward to all the future adventures and mischief that will occur.  Brian cracks me up when he interacts with Tricky so I can just imagine what will happen when there are two from the same bloodline.  Gus will be thrilled.

Author's Response:

Hi, Larka! First of all, a belated welcome to MW. Thank you for joining as a member.;)

Secondly, I'm thrilled that you have enjoyed all of the Tricky stories. I love that big lug! He means well, but his enthusiasm just gets in the way sometimes.  It remains to be seen if he corrupts his daughter, or the other way around.  Let's just say I think his daughter will do him proud - ha!

Thank you for reading this first chapter, and especially for the support; I am very appreciative. ~Kim

Sry got carried away last review. This story is cute so far. Justin wins out again--Ha. The listeners will love this one as most of them have dogs. One just got a black lab puppy named him Taylor. Can you imagine. He said he likes the name. Lee still wants his story update when you have time. lol

Reviewer: lindc (Anonymous) · Date: August 11, 2015 05:51 PM · On: Dogged Determination

I read your mini speech--don't you ever quit writing here. I know your life has changed because of all the beta work and other work you do on this site plus your new job doesn't leave you much time to write. That being said, we all the listeners, me, Lee will be devistated if you stop and we will read elsewhere. You are the glue that holds all of us together and I can just imagine what the listeners and others will say when I tell them. Please don't forsake us. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, lindc! How can I express my gratitude to you for all the support you, Lee, and the peeps have given me?

I'm glad to hear that your readers will enjoy this story. I think in one way the daughter might actually wind up surpassing the father when it comes to potentially spelling disaster for the boys' wedding, but I don't want to go into too much detail and spoil it.;)  Let's just say that Brian will have a dilemma on his hands coming up.;)

Tell Lee that I will be updating MHD next, and have definitely not forgotten to update that one, or my other story.;)  There is still a ways to go with that one, and the other WIP, so I hope he continues to enjoy it.  Not sure if things will go totally smoothly for Tony as he and Fin prepare for their wedding. Something tells me that Tony will be the object of a lot of attention coming up, much to his consternation.;p

As for future stories, I have so many new ideas and stories partly started.  Perhaps if I can recharge my batteries, and finish my two WIPs, I can look into continuing them. It bothers me to not be able to update any faster than I can, but hopefully I will be able to post stories that are either done or almost done once I've completed them and that will lessen my stress.

Please express how much I appreciate all the support you, Lee, and the peeps have given me for the past several years. It means more to me than you will ever know. Sending a big hug of gratitude your way, and please give my love to Lee.  *Hugs* ~Kim

Was going to go back and re-read all the Tricky fics before I started in on this one, but was far too pempted.

I can'twait to see what trouble the new addition will bring to the household. I'm sure we're in for many giggles! Love this arc.

Author's Response:

Hi, Elaine! Always great to hear from you.) I'm happy to know that you have enjoyed the Tricky stories.  And yes, both father and daughter are about to meet for the first time, and it could spell disaster for a certain brunet.;) Thanks again for taking the time to leave me your thoughts; it is much appreciated. ~Kim

And I am one of those awful people who read them but don't comment, I'm sorry xx but please carry in writing as I enjoy your work and I'm sure lots of others do. xxxx

Author's Response:

Hi,

I must confess that I was a lurker myself, reading and totally enjoying but never leaving a comment because I felt kinda like, "who would care what I have to say?"

Then I started reading "The King's Wil" and let's just say I finally figured it out, thanks to the beautiful, amazing author.  I actually joined (I too was having problems leaving a review over and over) so I did it.  And I am so glad I did, because the best time to comment is at the end of the chapter and if you keep getting rebuffed by the code then you give up and never end up going back because RL gets in the way.

All right then, back to your story.  This is great.  I love when Justin wants something and watching Brian try to resist him, when we all know what the outcome will be.  There is sure to be much hilarity when "she" comes home to live with them!!!!

I am here everyday, and will be eagerly waiting for more.

Thanks for all you do!

Terri

Author's Response:

Hi, Terri! First of all, thank you for registering, and for persevering. I don't know why the system makes it so hard to leave a review anonymously, but several others have mentioned that. It IS much easier to register to review, though, isn't it?  And yes, Sorcha's story is very intriguing.:)

And thank you, also, for taking the time to let me know that you will be reading this story, and that you enjoyed the first chapter. That means a lot to me.  BTW, if you haven't read the other Tricky stories, if I can shamelessly plug the other ones, I hope you might give them a try, especially if you like seeing Brian tormented.;)  There's a fair amount of hurt/comfort/drama in them, too, along with the humor to hopefully keep your interest.

Thanks again for your support of me and the site! It is much appreciated.  ~Kim

Love this story in all its parts but then i own a retriever so i know and love them for all the love and trouble they can bring to your life. I love how Justin knows exactly how to play Brian to get what he wants. I do review frequently especially the stories I like most I have slso been known to review when an author forgets they have left readers hanging on long running series and started writing little bits of fluff insteadif you had a block fine if you are doing it to be annoying I can go read my facebook feed instead i love this story and cant wait to see what Justin names the puupy

I deleted my original response to your comments, because I think you may have not meant to direct it to me, but to other writers who do not finish their stories. If that is the case, I do apologize if I came across as blunt in my previous comments. In my own defense, I am so obsessive about never leaving my stories unfinished that I admit it struck a nerve. But I am hoping you did not mean me, but other writers. If so, I am sorry for the tone of my previous words.

Thank you for leaving feedback, and I hope you continue to enjoy this story.  ~Kim

Now that I read Deck the Paws my understanding of the story is much greater.  Brian Kinney and an animal living together? How terrible for Brian but so wonderful for us readers.

Looking forward to more!

Author's Response:

Hi, there! Thank you for reading the 1st chapter of this story, and for your feedback. It really does help to encourage me.  Yeah, good thing Brian loves Justin so deeply, or he would never agree to this arrangement. And this dog has big paws; we all know what THAT means,.;)

Thanks again for taking the time to leave feedback; it is truly appreciated. I'll have Ch. 2 up tomorrow.  ~Kim

Yay! A new Tricky universe story, Framed for Christmas is one of my all time favorites. ( I'm a sucker for angst and hurt!Justin).  I so enjoy your writing, it would be a shame to see a writer of your caiber stop writing/posting.  You make it seem effortless the way the words flow to create that story image in the readers minds eye.  i'm also a huge fan of humor injected into the plot and you do it so well.

i will admit to be one of those readers that don't leave enough comments. I hate to leave a simple "great chapter, waiting for more" kind of comment.  Real comments mean so much and I don't want to just repeat the same thing over and over. That isn't satisfying to the writer or reviewer.

thanks for sharing your talent and imagination! It's always a pleasure to read! Thanks😄

Author's Response:

Hi, Melinda! I recognize your user name; thank you for the reviews you have left for my stories, and for your words of support; I am truly grateful for that.  I understand about not wanting to leave the same comment over and over again; and I'm not even asking for a comment after every chapter. But I do need the reassurance from time to time that someone is still enjoying the story, so this does help me.

I'll have Ch. 2 up probably tomorrow. Thanks again for the feedback! ~Kin

Dear Kim,

I've never written a comment before, but I have read all your stories - and enjoyed them. It would be awful if you stopped writing. You are my favorite writer.

From Belgium,

Annedee

Author's Response:

Hi, Annedee - you are so kind to let me know that you have been reading my stories and have been enjoying them.  And to say that I am your favorite writer; wow, I am so touched by that! Thank you.  :)  That means so much to me, and that really helps to bolster my self-confidence.

Thank you again for taking the time to write. It makes a big difference.  I'll have the next part of this up probably tomorrow.  ~Kim

I sooo love Tricky stories. I laughed out loud when Sandra asked Brian about an addition to the family. Still laughing...... And Justin being NOT so sneaky...LOL

Please don't give up writing. I've only been reading fanfiction for a few years and you were one of the 1st writers I found. It didn't take me long to search out everything you wrote and devour all of them. I have all of them in a folder under your name in my 'Favourite Authors' folder so I can re-read them when I get a chance and can find them easily. I've even got them saved to my 7" tablet that I use as an E-reader - serious reader here...... That tablet goes with me everywhere - doctors, dentists, hairdressers, recent flight to the UK - no boring magazines for me......

Author's Response:

Hi, Monica - thank you for your kind words about my stories, and for the encouragement.  I do love writing about B and J, but I still need the reassurance from time to time that there still are readers out there who are enjoying reading them, so your feedback really does help.

I will think hard about it. I have my two unfinished stories to complete; perhaps by then I will have a clearer picture of what I want to do.  Your words mean so much, and do help., Thank you again. ~Kim

what a great idea for a story. I cannot wait to see how much trouble this dog gets into, how mad Brian gets at Justin and then of course how Brian forgives him!! I live Tricky stories and this one ( his offspring) is pure genius!! Love reading your work  Kim!!

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement, Ro. Glad that you are enjoying it so far. I will have Ch. 2 up probably tomorrow, and you will learn the name of Justin's new addition to the family. Thanks again for being so supportive. ~Kim

Hi Predec,

you are SO right. I apologize cause i really, really love and adore your stories, especially this one with tricky. When i got online this morning and saw that you've continued with this story line i was SOOOOOO happy. :)

But, i don't remember ever posting a comment on this story line. I don't even know why..... :( Sadly, i never did it. And i feel a little ashamed.

I firmly believe that some readers take for granted beeing able to read new stories on this site all the time. And that shouldn't have happened. You invest so much time, emotions and creativity in all your stories and that is worth a great deal of appreciation!

So, i for myself promise to comment regularly and let all the authors know what i think of their story.

Please continue to write, don't get discouraged. Your are a great writer with so much talend! I'm sure i am not the only person thinking that.

Hugs, Diana

Author's Response:

Hello, Diana - No need to apologize.:)  I didn't mean to shame anyone into reviewing; I just need the reassurance from time to time that there are still readers out there enjoying them, so your kind words mean the world to me, and really do help.  I DO think that perhaps some readers do not feel it is as important to leave reviews for the more seasoned writers, but I think I can speak for them in saying they are still quite important to them, and are just as treasured.

I truly appreciate you taking the time to leave me feedback. It does help me.  I will give it a lot of thought in the meantime, and will definitely finish my two incomplete ones. Perhaps by then I will feel more encouraged. Thaank you again. ~Kim

I love to read your stories especially the "Trickystories". It is always a lot of fun.

I am not a native speaker so it is difficult to find the right words and leave a comment. I practice english by reading all the wonderfull stories on this site.

Thank you for writing and sharing your stories.

Author's Response:

Hi, Chandrika - thank you for taking the time to leave me your thoughts. I think you do quite well as a non-native speaker; I understood you clearly.;)  I am happy to hear that you enjoy the stories about Tricky. He will be featured in this story along with his daughter, so it could be double trouble!  Poor puppy can't help it; she is born to get into trouble.;p)

Thank you again for the feedback, Chandrika.  I truly appreciate that. ~Kim

Kim, thank You.

A couple of months ago we were talking about that I missed Tricky....

You made my day. And please never hesitate. Your works are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Helping me alot.

Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! Thank you for reading the first chapter of this new Tricky story, and for your kind words. You are always so supportive and willing to lend me a sympathetic ear.  Thank you for that.  I will have the next chapter up probably tomorrow.   ~Kim

Hi Kim - really interested in reading this one :) As always, I adore your writing. I really hope readers will support you and give you the motivation to keep writing, because this fandom wouldn't be the same if you weren't there. I really can't imagine a QAF fanfom without you in it. Take care my dear friend

Author's Response:

Hello, my friend.  You are very kind.  I will think hard about it.  I am so tired at the moment from everything I have going on. I just think I need the reassurance that my stories are still being enjoyed. To me, that can make the difference between writing or not.  If I ever feel like no one is interested any longer, then that will be the time to stop writing.

Always great to hear from you, and I continue to be honored to be your beta for your own wonderful story. Thanks again.  ~Kim

Love the Tricky Stories, now soon they have a little Tricky. Haha Brian can't say no to Justin.

Hope you never stop writing, love your writing style. But I know you've less free time. Hope you will stay active for a long time.

* hugs *

Author's Response:

Hi, Marion! First of all, I'd like to thank you for always being so helpful with making banners. That is much appreciated, and you do such a beautiful job with them, so thank you for that.;)

I'm glad you enjoy the stories with our rambunctious lab in them. I had been meaning to write the wedding story to probably conclude it for some time - at least for now - but just now have gotten the chance to do that. I hope you continue to enjoy it.  I will think hard about continuing. I have my two WIPs to finish up still. Perhaps by then I will be a little more recharged and able to start another new one; I have so ideas to write from; if only I had the same amount of time! Thank you again for your kind words.  ~Kim

"WHOA WHOA" AND "OH HELL NO!!!!" What do you MEAN YOU MAY NOT CONTINUE WRITING!!!!???!!!

I JUST re read " Remember Me" one of your M-A-N-Y classics ( yeah! I said it!) and before that Heartstrings!
When ever and while I am waiting for a story I am reading to update, I ALWAYS GO BACK and pull up one of YOUR stories ( and yes on a regular :)
I first found the fanfiction site, I would read the stories there but then I found Whispers.

I cant remember the first story of yours I read BUT I can tell you that when I read it I was Hooked on you!! I can tell you that I said up the whole night reading story after story lol ( I can honestly blame you for going to work tired lol) I wished I had been there to comment and review when you wrote these amazing stories. When I finally did join I did not at first leave reviews, I didnt understand how important that is until I really took the time to think about, words are powerful and encouraging, I know that now.

I just want you to know that if you stop writing ( I dont want you to :( but if you do I just want you to know that I WILL miss you. And that I have a wonderfull collection of 82 stories that I can re read and re read over and over and over. Thank You Predec2.

Author's Response:

Hi,Tanya - your kind words mean more to me than I can say. To know how much you have enjoyed my stories really does help.  I guess like every writer I just need that little reminder from time to time that there are still people out there reading them.  Sorry I was the cause of your insomnia, but I am extremely flattered.;)

As for continuing, I don't know. I always feel so guilty for not updating my stories faster, and that adds to the stress, I suppose. I will continue my two WIPs and get them finished; perhaps once I do that, I will be ready to write a new one. I don't think unless they are one-shots, though, that I will post them until they are either all written or close to it. It's just too stressful when I need to keep updating so I don't disappoint my readers.

I'll have Ch. 2 posted probably tomorrow, and you will learn more about Justin's name for his new addition to the family. Thank you again for everything you wrote! That means the world to me. ~Kim

Hi Kim!   Awww, Justin is finally getting his puppy, though I’m sure Brian probably thinks he needs his head examined for agreeing ;  ) Cute puppy BTW.

Can’t wait to see what kind of shanaganes Tricky and his little one get into in the next installment.

As for the other, I completely understand where you're coming from and agree with everything you said, I DO hope you keep writing :  ) *Hugs* Janet

Author's Response:

Hi, Janet! Always good to hear from you.:)  Just wait until you hear the puppy's name; no 'brownie' or 'happy' for THIS one.:)  You will discover the moniker in the next chapter, and let's just say that Justin gets a bit carried away.;)

Thanks again for your feedback, my friend; it is much appreciated. ~Kim

Hi Kim! I haven't read the Tricky series as of yet but I am a huge animal lover! I really enjoyed this story and would love to see more with the new dog as well as read some of your previous Tricky stories! I would especially like to read the one about Tricky saving Justin and Gus. :) I love dogs so I hope Brian comes around with a puppy in the mix.

As for your note, I completely agree with it. When I do get a chance to read I always try to review. I tend to read in spurts and it takes me a while to get through longer stories, even when I am loving them. But I have had similar thoughts when it comes to a couple of my own works. Sometimes my reviews go into the teens and it thrills me and sometimes I get maybe five on one I worked hard at. I guess it depends on the subject matter or maybe the day it was posted. Anyway, I love your writing styles and you always seem to have great ideas. You are such an interactive admin so I do hope if anything you are able to get more reviews, if not other authors. Thanks for doing all that you do!

Author's Response:

Thank you for your kind words, Anne.  I admit I am pretty exhausted right now, between everything going on, and that probably adds to my discouragement.  Comments from you and other readers really do help, though, and are much appreciated.

As for the stories where Gus and Justin are saved by our heroic pooch, they are actually in two stories:  I believe Justin's is in "Framed for Christmas," while Gus's save is in "Dog Days of Summer."  I would have to go back and check, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.

Thank you again for taking the time to leave me your thoughts. It is greatly appreciated.  ~Kim

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  A sequel to my favorite story.  I love it!!!  I hope that Tricky gets to visit and spend time with his daughter.  Just want to agree with your remarks about writers liking reviews.  If you register and leave yourself logged in it only takes a couple minutes to leave a review and the writer will really be pleased and grateful!!

Thanks again for this story, can't wait for more.  Bill

Author's Response:

Hi, Bill - thank you for the comments.  There will be some interaction between father and daughter, and you will find out the unlikely name for the new pooch in the next chapter. Happy that you are enjoying it; thanks again.  ~Kim
