Hello neighbour! I'm back. I must admit I was a little distracted with other great stories. But now I'm re-reading yours and I've pomised myself to take my time. Maybe one chapter a day and lots of reviews. Your story is still one of my favourite fanfictions about Brian and Justin and their wonderful lovestory. While reading this first chapter I started again to feel the same things I felt while reading it the first time. It's so exciting and also beautiful how you describe their reunion. One can feel their uncertainty but also their longing. While reading it the first time I felt also the dispair about their loss of eight years and Justin's injury but also astonishment about Gus. Il y a un sens de la fatalité en marche qui est terrible dans ce chapitre, Brian sait qu'il agit mal mais ne peut s'en empêcher, Justin sait pourquoi il se conduit comme ça et le comprend, mais est quand même blessé par son comportemement. On comprend maintenant pourquoi au début de l'histoire ils étaient séparés pendant tant d'années, alors qu'au début j'en voulais à Justin d'être parti.
Author's Response: Justin comprend le comportement de Brian mais il n'en peut plus. C'est terrible de voir quelqu'un qu'on aime se détruire et malgré tout l'amour qu'il y a entre eux, Justin réalise que ce n'est plus suffisant pour qu'il continue à se battre. Je sais qu'au début de cette histoire, les lecteurs étaient plutôt enclain à condamner Justin pour être parti, mais la vérité est bien plus complexe.
Merci pour ton commentaire, qui me fait très plaisir! Pour répondre à ta réponse sur ton histoire, oui, les correctrices de cette histoire sont des auteurs sur MW. Google docs est un outil de partage en ligne, similaire à Word, mais où plusieurs personnes peuvent collaborer en même temps. Ce qui me permet d'écrire et aux correctrices de faire des modifications si nécessaire. Mon niveau d'anglais est bon, mais avoir des correctrices anglophones m'aident beaucoup.
J'attends avec impatience la suite de "Artist in residence" :)

Tu ne te rends pas compte du tout du talent que tu possèdes... Dès que j'ai commencé à lire ton histoire, je me suis dit : waouh cette histoire est vraiment très originale, très bien construite, ton écriture est fluide, ce n'est que du bonheur vraiment.... C'est de loin une des meilleure histoire que j'ai jamais lue depuis très très longtemps. J'aime que les écrivains maintiennent les caractères des personnages fidèles à la série, parce que très souvent cela devient du n'importe quoi et je dois dire qu'actuellement et ce depuis quelques mois il devient difficile d'accrocher à une histoire. Par exemple j'adore "Intersect" d'Annie Eliza, histoire qui a commencé il y a au moins 2 ans mais c'est de l'or en barre vraimen,t ainsi que "In Quest of something" de ebjj9198" et la tienne. Je n'ai rien lu d'aussi interessant, captivant, intriguant, passionnant. Je me doute que les passages du passé vers le présent n'est pas évident à écrire mais tout est super, autant la relation entre Brian et son père que celle entre Brian et Justin ainsi que ce personnage Jesse. Cette histoire est extraordinaire, tu es brillante, c'est hallucinant que tu aies des doutes. FUCK! Fuck Fuck! I LOVE IT!
Ne te sous estimes pas et surtout ne sous estimes pas ton talent, tu es doué(e) et tu nous emmènes très loin à chaque nouveau chapitre. Ce que tu nous fais ressentir est très positif. Ne baisse pas les bras : termine ton histoire mais surtout n'arrête pas d'écrire, tu nous priverais d'un nombre incalculable de très bon moments dans nos vies. Quand tu écriras ta prochaine histoire, écris une histoire plus courte, moins élaborée (mais cela va être difficile vu ce que tu as sous le capot comme on dit) mais surtout, surtout ne prive pas tes lecteurs de ton talent ou don, ce serait du négatif dans nos vies. OK! tu as compris : JE SUIS FAN, raide dingue de ta fic. Généralement, je ne lis plus les WIP pour éviter la frustration d'un travail non terminé qui nous laisse en vrac, en pleurs, en morceaux, très souvent c'est à hurler de frustration!!! de dépit d'immense déception. Alors je te souhaite plein de courage, de volonté, de punch et continues à briller pour toi et pour nous. MERCI A TOI!!!

Merci surtout d'avoir prise le temps de m'envoyer ce message. Parfois la motivation s'échappe, la vie réelle s'immisce, et il devient difficile de trouver les mots, de se concentrer et d'être satisfait de ce que l'on écrit. Et c'est là que les lecteurs m'aident beaucoup. Je n'hésites plus aujourd'hui à me confier lorsque j'ai un blocage car je sais que c'est grâce à des retours comme le tien que l'envie et l'inspiration reviennent. Je sais exactement où je vais avec cette histore, mais réussir à l'écrire n'est pas toujours facile et peut être parfois si frustrant, d'autant plus lorsque les mots en anglais ne viennent pas. Kim m'aide beaucoup pour ça.
En tout cas, tes mots sont un vrai régal pour mes yeux et mon coeur :) J'ai depuis deux jours retrouver la motivation et mon prochain chapitre est presque terminé. Alors MERCI A TOI pour ton soutien et ta gentillesse, tu n'imagines pas combien cela me touche :)

I love all the characters in Q.A.F. They reflect all the positive and negative traits in all of us. And
when our favourite shows finish it's brilliant because people start writng these wonderful stories to carry it on. It's always good to have positive and negitive critcism together but when negativity is used to try and destroy someone's confidence that's just awful behaviour.
Author's Response: I totally agree. I love the characters in QAF. In fact, I would like someday to write more about other characters, too (Time, where are you? lol) I discovered fanfiction with QAF. and I must say I was surprised by the quality provided by some authors in their work. I would have never thought so before starting reading fanfiction. And trolls, yes, they exist and believe me, readers don't know the half of it. And by trolls I'm not talking about reviewers who offer their critizism. They have every right to do so. I'm talking about those persons who bash an author just because they can't stand to read some plot about something (B/J for instance). You wouldn't believe how hurtful some feedback can be. I'm lucky, I've learned a lot with my first fic. Writing for a fandom is definitely an interesting experience ;)

Author's Response: Caroline, thank you so much! I'm not confident in my writing in a fandom, never was, and probably never will. I think it's due to the 'English' part for one, as I'm not really bilingual, even if writing has been a great way to improve my English. I would have never hoped to write so much in English two years ago. But I enjoy it, even if I'm so frustrated sometimes, when I want to put an idea on paper and words that are in my head in French just don't come in English lol Still, yes, comments on a story are the best present readers can give an author to keep him/her going, especially when real life don't let you much time to write. Sometimes, authors just ask themselves if it's worth it, you know? But when I see reviews like yours, I have my answer ;)

I think of Consequences and what a very moving and accurate portrayal it was of the impact Altzheimers has on the person who has it and inevitably on thier loved ones.
Author's Response: I tried to portray a part of the life that caregivers has to deal with, even if obviously, it wasn't a deep portrayal becaus it wasn't the main storyline; but I'm glad that the story could touched you and especially the 'Alzheimer' aspect of it. I really like the way you set your story as sort of timeshift. And that you have brought Emmet
to the fore. He has such enpathy, wisdom, optimism and kindness. Just the sort friend Justin needs. He also doesn't take any snash (nonsense) from Brian.

Anyone can tell you love writing. There is so much passion for your subject and your knowledge
of Brian and Justin and Emmet, as well as the other Q.A. F characters is extremely insightful.
Threading their lives through new but relevent and believable storylines. No small feat by any means. Your description of the characters and thier surroundings are always so vivid.
When we take the risk of having our work critiqued by others it is such a shame when we are discouraged by negative criticism, especially with someone as talented as you.

Yes, Annie and I have definitely something in commun, as I know intimately the troll, too. As I said, one of the beauty of fanfiction is to share with readers, but also with other authors. Annie is a great person and she had her share of negative comments on her story. But that's pretty much due to Brian in love with another man. It seems some people are not ready to read about it, but can't help themselves nonetheless.
You're amazing to support your favorites as you do. Thank you so much for that. And thank you for your compliment on my writing. I'm still not sure I deserve it, as I think they're other authors here way more talented that I am, but it means a lot that some readers appreciate my words.

About Brian, this is an AU, so yes, he is different from Canon Brian, because his backstory is completely different and I think I love to make him grow up in my stories. Maybe one day, I will write a pure canon Brian story, but not this time ;) Thank you again my dear friend for the support

I really like your story but i would seriously prefer you post longer chapter....less often maybe but longer i appreciate that more because it help me to go into the story;someone prefers crumbs every day i don't.
i really think justin need a little dog or a cat for his problem with touching they help a lot and maybe brian could give one as 'sorry for being a dick'.

About the length of the chapter, not sure I will write longer chapters in the future because writing one takes me way too much time.
And not sure either Brian will offer Justin a pet. I mean, he is NOT happy with Justin being here and I think he would hate a pet at his place ;) No, Justin and Brian will not be best friends right away, but of course, what will happen...will happen lol
