Hi Kristine! I'm just discovering this story and I love it so much so far! Your writing style is excellent and wow your characterization is outstanding! Bravo! Also love how you write about Michael and Justin's relationship. Anyway, As soon as I can, I will read it all :) Thank you!
Author's Response: Oh wow! That's amazing to hear, thank you so much! I was so afraid when I first started writing because it's so new to me, but I'm learnings o much and really love it. Also, I'm glad you enjoyed Michael and Justin's friendship - I know that for some reason Michael seems to be hated in this fandom but I've always liked him haha. Hope you enjoy the rest!

NO HE CANNOT SELL THE LOFT, THAT'S HIS HOME!! omg you're killing me here, my heart hurts so much for Brian. But what he did to Justin in the diner was uncalled for, but it is true, he pushes people away. Man, you're good x
Author's Response: Awww thank you! That was so sweet. :) And unfortunatly Brian is trying to make the best of a bad situation. In the show he was able to avoid selling the loft because Kinnetik took off - that didn't happen here. My goal is to strip Brian of all the external ways he identifies himself so he's forced to find other, more constructive ways, of identifying who Brian Kinney is.

Brian doesn't yet realize that throwing Justin off the Kinney cliff didn't work or, of course, that Justin's love for him has deepened.
I'm curious to see if Justin will help Brian win the Kingston account.
It's good to see friendship has developed between Michael and Justin. I am wondering when Gus will enter the picture...
Author's Response: I always feel like Michael's and Justin's friendship was underplayed in the show. It seems that they're simply civil to each other until the very last season when Justin leaves Brian and Brian goes off on Michael - then they seem best buddies all of a sudden. I don't know, just something that bothered me lol
As for Gus, to be honest, he'll play only a small roll in this story. In fact, everyone will only be small side characters as the majority of this will focus on Brian and Justin's relationship. I hope it's still good though. Thanks!

Now that Justin knows what he needs to do how does he go about it? How does Brian get Kingston in his pocket or does he. Things seem to go from bad to worse for Brian.
Author's Response: Unfortunately that's a common theme in this story - things going badly for Brian. But I want Justin and Brian to bond over their adversity. Thank you!

brian is an asshole, i don't think justin should come back to him until he grovels! and maybe even then. that was unforgivable and uncaring! like brian doesn't love justin at all. i don't understand him.
Author's Response: Brian was being a bit of a jerk, well, more than a bit. But Justin is also strong, and knows what he was doing. While he won't be a rug for Brian to walk all over, he isn't going to be stubborn and refuse to work out what Brian did. As for Brian, he's at a point where he is adamantly trying to convince himself he doesn't love Justin which makes him do mean things and think mean things. Hopefully in time he'll win you back over. Thank you sooo much! :)

I like where this story is going , but wouldn't it be easier and faster to sell the corvette than the loft, and why does he need to go to England ? If Vance just pitched Kingston isn't he in the Pitts.
Author's Response: It would, except Brian doesn't only want to get to England, but he also wants to pay off the last of his credit card bills. If he only sold the 'vette, he'd still have a hundred thousand dollars to worry about. I guess I should have been more clear about it, but he assumed that when he got Kingston as a client, the money from that would buy him a new place to live. And in the next chapter you'll find out that Vance's rep went to England as well, so Kingston is in London - making them come to him. Thank you for leaving me some feedback!

Wow, that was one painful chapter! Things are getting so heated and interesting… I loved this update – and additional ‘thank you’ for making it so long!:) I can’t get enough of this amazing story.
Brian was a real Asshole in this chapter. Poor Justin… I’m not sure I could ever put up with such behavior. I understand Brian’s worried and scared, he hates when people help him, he doesn’t want to look weak… but boy, he treated Justin terribly! That was so humiliating. Sometimes I think Brian just likes to suffer. Being hurt and alone is easier to him than trying to work on the relationship with the person he loves most. He just can’t open up, he can’t really treat Justin like his partner. I admire Justin’s strength and his patience, Brian was *so* bitchy, unpleasant and angry in this chapter that he seriously pissed me off! I don’t remember the last time I was this furious with him! But I loved it, of course, because I love feeling so many things when I read. You’re very talented.
The meeting with Gardner was sad... Even though I’m angry with Brian, I’m still sorry he has to go through so much bullshit. That’s humiliating, no confidence will save you from feeling like a failure.
I loved the moment when tricks recognized Justin :) I always enjoy seeing other people’s reaction to Justin’s role in Brian’s life.
Drunk Brian was kind of adorable, I loved how he couldn’t take his hands off Justin :) Even though he’s an asshole, he still loves this boy. But I can’t forgive him for publicly humiliating Justin in the diner for helping him. That was such an awful moment… so embarrassing and painful. Poor Justin… my heart’s breaking for him. I’d be mortified! I’d run away to where no one can find me! This is why Justin’s ‘after-that’ realization that he loves Brian stunned and practically electrified me. It was so… realistic and *painful*. Really, really painful. You managed to show that love sometimes is like that. It breaks, it hurts, it can be ugly and cruel. But it’s real. I’m proud of Justin. Now I’m torn, though, because I hate Brian a little right now. I don’t want Justin to go back to him just like that, after what he did in the diner. Maybe it’s difficult to me because I’m more or less an unforgiving kind of person – I would never make a first step after Brian’s words. But Justin is different, he’s stronger… so I don’t know what to expect. I can’t wait to see what you planned!
Brian’s business seems to be going up - *finally*! I’m happy for him. I’m looking forward to seeing what his actions will be.
Thank you for this fantastic, gut-wrenching update! I feel very emotional right now. I can’t wait for the next chapter!
Author's Response: Oh wow! You're review is making me blush! I'm so glad you're enjoying it, and don't worry, about all of the updates are this long so you'll be able to get in big chunks at a time. :)
And yes, Brian was a jerk, but it was a combination of him pushing Justin off Mt. Kinney, and feeling bitter at being in the lowest point of his life. Justin was just the target and he was overly brutal. But honestly, I'm a little glad you're so angry because I want people to feel.
As for the tricks, I'm really glad you took notice of it because I put it in there for an important reason. I wanted you all to remember that while Brian is being a little bitch ;) other people still recognize that Justin is a part of Brian's life. They know who he is and they know that he and Brian have a thing - even if it's unconventional.
As for the humiliation, Justin is strong. He knows why Brian did it and is willing to give him a little slack. I emphasize a little here, because he isn't going to turn into a rug. But also remember, that in the show Brian says a lot of hurtful things to Justin - and even vice versa - that never get addressed between the two of them. So don't expect Brian to grovel...but it will be addressed. :)
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I really hope that you'll continue to enjoy it.

Hi, Kristine - still enjoying your story. This is well written, too.;) I must admit after reading this latest chapter that my emotions are all over the place here. I'm torn between Justin's loyalty and love toward Brian, versus him being a doormat and way too forgiving of someone who totally humiliated him in public, and said some awful and hurtful things. Whether or not it's because of Brian's tried and true methods of pain management, there also has to be some boundaries and a threshold met before Justin decides he's done all he can and tells Brian he's had enough. I think that last tirade was about as bad as you can get, and if I were Justin I would have told him to go to hell. In a way, then, I think he's letting Brian off way too easily here.
And even when he is alone, Brian still seems to think of Justin as just a convenience, interspersed with brief periods of actually sounding like he cares for him. It would totally serve him right if Justin chose to remain in the Pitts and let Brian head off to England on his own. Perhaps then - when Brian finally learns somehow that Justin is trying to move on and make a life of his own - will he finally realize what he has done, and what his pushing Justin away has cost him.
Intriguing story! Will be looking forward to reading more. ~Kim
Author's Response: What Brian did was definitely over the top, and don't worry - Justin' isn't going to be a doormat...per say. He's just determined and in love. :) It'll be addressed more than once and hopefully you'll be satisfied with the Justin stands up for himself.
And Brian - at least my Brian - is confused about his feelings for Justin and he is more trying to convince himself that he isn't in love by insisting that Justin is just convenient. But then sometimes Justin is just too lovable ;) and he forgets lol.
Thank you so much for letting me know you're enjoying this, and I hope you continue to do so!

Wow! Excellent update...
I had a much longer comment written... 4 times, but the site was not letting me post. So, instead you got the mcuh shorter version.
Author's Response: Ohhh, I hate when that happens! I'm sorry about that, but I'm glad you put so much effort into letting me know what you think. It means a lot. :) Thank you, and I hope you continue to enjoy.

How does he get to England, cause I know he will? How's Justin going to get Brian to take him serious? I'm loving this story so much I want moooooorrrreee.
Author's Response: Well Brian is going to have to make some sacrifices in order to make his company a success. I'm glad you're liking it so much! I hope you continue to do so. :)

Way to torture the boys! Next you'll be giving them both paper cuts and then pouring lemon juice over them! LOL! TAG
Author's Response: Well everyone likes to see them suffer a little, right? This makes them closer. :) Thanks!
