Wonderful chapter as always, Kim. Amazing work considering you had such a stressful time of it with your father's death and all your teaching commitments... That must have been really hard for you. Xx

Great chapter, I love the connection between Brian and Justin and it seems Jared has really  nothing to do with Justin's accident, witch is a relief :)

So sorry to hear about your loss. I am now catching up reading this story.

Great chapter, looking forward for more.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lynn! Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for the comments.:) And thank you for your expression of sympathy. It has been a difficult two months, but we are slowly learning to cope. It has been very difficult for my mother especially, having married him at 17.  Thank you again.

I am working on the next part of this now, and hope to have it updated soon. Thank you for your patience and for your support. *Hugs*  ~Kim

This is amazing! Im so thrilled to know that there are still authors who take the time to write QAF fanbased stories. I just wanted to let you know im an avid reader of all of your works, and I just wanted to let you know everything you write is completely worth waitng for. I also wanted to say Im really sorry for your loss, I hope everything is alright and that you are doing well.

Author's Response:

Hi, Peyton! First of all, please accept my sincere apology for not responding sooner to your comments. I am normally very prompt in replying to feedback, but somehow it got overlooked. I never want anyone to think I'm taking their comments for granted, so please accept my thank you for reading and reviewing this story.

And thank you for your expression of sympathy; I really appreciate that.:)  It has been very hard especially on my mother these past two months, but we are learning to deal with it as best we can.

As for this story, I just wanted to reassure you that I have NOT forgotten about it. I have started on the next chapter, and hope to have it posted it soon. Like all my stories, too, it WILL be finished, do not fear.

Thank you for your patience and your support in the meantime; I am very grateful to you for that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Just finished reading this story up to now to the listeners--they love it. I was on your other site and listened to Randy/s interview. I was great. H e is such a nice guy. I am watching QAFon Showtime as they are running it again, still good as ever. The young gay people will get to see it in its entirety.. I got a kick out of Randy saying he was lazy, not cool, not a good dancer, a cat lover, and neurotic. lol

Author's Response:

Hi, my dear friend. Tell everyone I'm so happy that they are enjoying this story, and please thank them for all their support.  I loved Randy's interview, too!  Learned some things I didn't know about him, and he seemed so relaxed and happy.  LOVE his laugh, too. Sounded so good to hear.  I am finally done with my teaching for the summer, so hopefully I can start updating a lot faster now.  Went away for the weekend and just got back yesterday.  It would have been my parents' 60th wedding anniversary last Friday, and I did not want my mom to stay here with all the memories, so we went to Gatlinburg for a few days. Almost literally choked to death yesterday, though, at a restaurant when I swallowed a piece of steak and it wouldn't go down. My mom had to thump me on the back about 4 or 5 times to dislodge it. VERY scary to say the least, but I'm fine now.

Anyway, I am working on a new short story that was supposed to be done for St. Patrick's Day, but I never got it finished in time. I hopefully will have it done later today or tomorrow, though, and can post it. And I'm working on another update to this story, and MAYBE a challenge story. But will have to wait and see about my time.  I'm betaing a lot of stories for others, too, and making banners, which might affect that.

Thanks again for checking up on me.  It really helps to know that everyone hasn't forgotten me.  Please tell Lee and Brian and everyone else that I said "hi" and thank them again for reading my stories. I really appreciate that.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Just dropping you a note to say hi from all of us hoping you are well. We miss you and hope your life has quieted done some. School must be nearly over and soon it will be time to go see Randy. That will be fun for you. Have fun. lol

Author's Response:

Hello, my special friend!  I saw your note over on FF. net, but I'm glad you left one here as well, since I have no good way of responding to anon reviews over there.  Thank you for thinking of me, and for the note.  Hard to believe it will be exactly a month tomorrow since my father died. Still hard to accept in a lot of ways, but both my mom and I know we have to deal with it and continue on without him.  Really miss him, though.

Yes, I will be taking my 14-yr-old nephew with me on 6/25 to go to NYC and Randy's play (twice).  This month they're featuring rainbow-themed Playbills for Gay Pride Month, so I hope his will look like that, too.;)

I was hoping you would notice I had updated this story a couple of weeks ago.  I have been doing a lot of writing behind the scenes.  It does help me to cope with what's happened.  I have much of the next part of this written, but also a couple of newer, shorter stories that I want to post. Am hoping to post a challenge story before the 6/21 deadline that will be mainly humor. Will do my best. Also have a jealous Brian story in the wings that I meant to write for St. Patrick's Day, but with my father's sitution it got pushed back.

Please tell Lee and Brian I said hello, and thank them and everyone else for their concern and their prayers. I appreciate that very much. You are all so sweet and kind to me.  Thank you.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Hi, Kim! I’m so happy to finally be able to comment again. Exams were exhausting.

Every time you update one of your stories, it’s like a little beautiful holiday to me. I could spend every free minute reading your works – I wish they were endless!

I was really angry at Jared before, but when he came to visit Justin and stubbornly refused to leave, I was touched. I didn’t expect it. He truly loves his brother – it’s a shame something like that had to happen for him to finally get his head out of his ass and admit his feelings! This competition between him and Justin went too far. The police have come up with a good plan – I hope it will work, and Jared’s innocence will be proved!

I *loved* Brian’s protectiveness! He was so anxious and agitated, I have a feeling that if he had managed to catch Jared, to meet him face to face, he would have tried to beat him up. I also loved how Brian tried to persuade Justin not to trust Jared – I understand, he’s scared that Justin will only get hurt even more in the end.

Brian is so used to this kind of life already… he’s comfortable with it. I have to applaud you for creating such a wonderful, breathtaking atmosphere – I never liked detailed, long descriptions of nature, but you make them just the perfect length, and oh so beautiful. I used to believe I was a complete city-girl, but after this story, for the first time I feel that I’d love to live in a place like that, that I’d enjoy every minute of it. Thank you for that! I *loved* Brian’s feelings… he is falling for Justin hard, indeed! Probably he already has.

It was a beautiful chapter, thank you so much! I’m looking forward to the next one! And I’m so sorry to hear about your father… I don’t want to even imagine how I would feel. I’m amazed you go on writing like that – it requires extraordinary talent and power of will!

Thank you!

Author's Response:

Hi, Katrin!  As aways, you amaze me with the breath of your review comments. I always look forward eagerly to them. Thank you for doing that, and for the lovely comments about my stories.  I am so honored and happy that you enjoy them.:)

Yes, Brian is falling hopelessly in love with Justin.  In the next chapter, which I have written a lot of already, Jared's guilt or innocence will be revealed, along with some more information regarding Doug's involvement and motive in Justin's injury, in addition to some other revelations.  Also, there may just be a couple of surprise 'guests' show up in that chapter.  (I know, I am a big tease!).

I do hope to have that posted very soon, but I am also trying to submit a challenge story if I can get it done before the 6/21 deadline.  It will be mainly a humor piece with the boys in an exotic setting.;)  And, of course, I am intending on updating "My Heart's Desire" just as soon as I can, too.

Thank you for your kind words about my father, also, Katrin.  You are very kind.  I hope I can continue to write stories that you will enjoy for a long time to come.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Oh no, how could I miss the Wild Stallion ... shakes head unbelievingly ...

Great chapter, and very interesting, I really hope Jared isn't involved in the accident and will be able to help. Brian and Justin are getting closer - but what will happen at the end of summer? And there is still Dale's horse waiting for Brian ...

Thanks for this update, and as always, I'm looking forward to more ....  :)

And last but not least: My condolences to you and your family for your loss, I can empathize from my own's experience.

Author's Response:

Hello! Thank you for reading this latest chapter, and for the feedback. Thank you, also, for the words of sympathy.  I really appreciate that.  Yes, I updated this about a week ago, but there have been so many updates since then I can understand how you might have missed it.;) I'm glad you found it, though, and you are still enjoying it.  I may write a story for the fan fiction challenge, but I have a lot of the next part to this already written, so it shouldn't be too long before another update. Thank you for bearing with me, and for the support.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Was very happy to see an update to this story. I really love it.  So sorry to hear of your loss. I can empathize as I just lost my father, too.  I will look forward to another update but understand that you must take care of yourself and family first. My thoughts are with you.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much for reading this latest chapter, and especially for leaving feedback. And thank you, also, for your expression of sympathy.  My father is missed terribly, but writing does help me to take my mind off our loss.  Please accept my condolences on the loss of your father as well.  Thank you again for your kind words; they are much appreciated.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Thank you for bearing with me as I continue completing it.  I still have quite a bit more to tell yet, but I DO have a lot of the next chapter written, so hopefully it will be much sooner when I post another update. ohhh, i almost missed this new chapter! i'm so glad you've updated, you're such a great writer! i love all your works, especially this one! i'm a fool, but i feel sorry for jared ): everyone rejects him, justin's disbelief in him must hurt! he has himself to blae, of course but still... poor jared. i hoe he'll prove what he needs to prove! and brian is so worried, i loved that - he is so protective of justin. i thought he would kick jared's ass when he saw him! everything is so romantic between him and justin... i'm dying tp see more of their relationship! thanks!!!

Author's Response:

Hi, Nata! I'm so glad you noticed I had posted a new chapter, and read it.  Thank you for bearing with me as I update it, and for your kind words.  I am very happy that you are enjoying this story.   And you are NOT foolish; Jared has been a jackass, but I do think he's trying to do the right thing here (finally!).  The next chapter will highlight his conversation with Doug, and should shed some more light on not only his brother's injury, but some of the details surrounding Dale's death as well.

I'm so glad you are still following this story, Nata! Thank you for the support.  I will get this updated again very soon.  *Hugs*  ~Kim
