How lovely. An eight year old daughter and reminiscing about their first Thanksgiving together after Justin returned from New York!

I read this a while ago. I had forgotten it had started with a daughter. It's a nice Thanksgiving story. I'll have to read it again to get the full effect.
Author's Response: Thank you, no sleep! I've always liked the idea of Brian and Justin having a girl, for some reason. I guess since he already has Gus (sort of), it would be different for him to raise a girl.
Glad you liked the story.
Cheers,
Vin

Don't remember what writer said about good writing, but the words ring true to me: "A good story is the one that evokes strong emotions in the reader. If the reader cares about the people in the story and what will happen to them, then he'll keep reading it..." and blah, blah, blah...
I think you, Vin, achieved it, at least for me because your story made me laugh and made me hungry and made me want to join that gang and eat with them and joke and drink that beer and talk talk talk and...see that great love in Brian's and Justin's eyes that they have for each other. So I did care about that lovely couple and whether they would get together on Thanksgiving despite all the obsticles. I feel such satisfaction and joy from reading it. You writing is so vivid, I feel like I just watched a movie, instead of reading it. Thanks. And KEEP writing!

Natalie is ADORABLE, as well as the relationship among all three of them.
Dying to know what that first Thanksgiving was like. But I think Natalie's rendition would be too cute, what with her mannerism and gestures and her acute awareness of her dads' love and affection for her (which she exploits to the full :)))

This is great...I'm very, very frightened of Brian cooking Thanksgiving, however :-)
Author's Response: Thanks, Julie! The next chapter is up and I hope you'll like it. Let me know what you think!
