Author's Response:

Hi, my friend! Thank you for all the feedback!  I am enjoying reliving this story through you. :)  And yes, Adam is a snake, and he isn't done yet.   But don't worry; you know I won't let anything really bad happen to our boys.  Thank you again for choosing to read this story, and for the support.  I really appreciate that, Vicki. :)  ~Kim

Oh geesh!  This Turner character can really pick his friends, can't he?  Brian is going to have a shit fit when he finds out these two bozos are working for Turner.  I can only imagine the fallout!

The whole thing is really brining up some old hurts for Justin.  From everything Craig put him through to the bashing and the bombing, he's having to relive a lot.  Thank goodness Brian is there to help him deal with his old memories.

I've always wondered if Stockwell had something to do with the bombing.  Knowing how he felt about the homosexual community on Liberty Avenue, and especially Babylon, it wouldn't have surprised me in the least.  And now that he's once again fighting Brian and Justin there's no telling what he's capable of.

Loving this story!

Nita

Author's Response:

Hi, Nita - I know - what a bunch of scumbags!  Justin's residual hurt over his father's treatment of him will come back up again later - there is so much I want to address in this story!  The plot will be moving back home soon so I can start working on some of the other plot lines.  Thank you again so much for all your encouragement, my friend.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

omg! can't leave us hanging.  update soon.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to leave your thoughts; I'm delighted you're following the story and enjoying it.  This group fighting against Fin and Brian are likely to cause some real headaches for them in the next chapter and just might bring out some revelations that Justin, for example, thought were long buried (I'm sure you can figure out what that is....wink, wink...).

I am updating the Thanksgiving story at the moment as well as Paper Hearts; I should have that updated posted hopefully later tonight.  It will be a little while before I can go back to this story, but rest assured like all the others it will be updated regularly AND completed like I have done with all my other stories.  Thanks again for taking the time to leave me a comment - that is so motivating to me as a writer!:)  I hope you will continue to follow this as well as some of my other stories.  I will also have a 'jealous Brian/Christmas' story coming up soon after Tricky's Thanksgiving tale is over.:)  Thanks again.:)~Kimberly

I love the interaction of of Brian, Justin, and their older counterparts.

It seems thatTurmner is starting to have second thoughts after listening to Thomas and Telson.

I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and for the comments, my friend!  I also enjoy comparing the two couples to each other; there are a lot of simlarities, aren't there?  Yes, I think Turner's beginning to wonder who he's in bed with and whether he made a big mistake in doing so.  I don't think he realizes just how deep the hatred for Brian, especially, goes for Stockwell, Turner, and maybe Telson to a lesser degree.  No matter what happens, the O'Connor campaign will definitely have to do some damage control, and I can see Stewart trying to sabotague Brian's role as campaign manager.  There is so much I want to tell in this story - it may be a LONG one yet to come!  Hope you will stay turned to see how it all plays out.  Thanks again for taking the time to comment, my dear, I really appreciate that.:)

I think Brian should just come clean with everyone (the press) about his past and let the chips fall, better that than to have Stockwell stearing the whole thing.  And sooner or later Kip Thomas is going to be found out, Brian can't be the only one he tried to blackmail, and Brian can't be the only one Telson ever propositioned???   Look forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Hi, Deb!  Thanks for reading and for your thoughtful comments.:)  Good ideas there.  Yes, I would say neither Telson nor Thomas are stellar examples of moral character.  Still, Brian will have to do some fancy footwork and damage control in the next chapter.  His previous days of freewilling sexual behavior may just come back to haunt him and also his father merely by association.  But chances are that the homophobes will already be against them, so it may be a case of trying to sway the more moderate faction.  In either case, Brian will certainly face a challenge coming up.

Thanks again for taking the time to read and leave me feedback - I really appreciate that.  I will get this updated again very soon.:)~Kimberly

Wow.  now i'm getting more worried.  I know how really hateful and violent hat mongers can be.  Saw them in action in NY not too long ago.  Doesn't matter what they are signing and screaming about they can rev themselves up to  violence.  I just worry about the four of them especially now they are about to run a smear campaign against Brian.  I just hope and pray no one gets hurt.  Hopefully this story won't go that far  Please???  Sorry am late on reviewing.  Was supposed to have the weekend off.  We got called in for two emergencies.  Done now can take a break and catch up here.  I see our boy got to review before me.  He loves this story so much.  I'm sure you made his day as well as ours.  lol

Author's Response:

Thanks, my friend!  I always look forward to hearing from you and your peeps.:)  Brian will have his hands full in the next chapter.  He will have a lot of damage control to do as a result, but he's not the kind to back down from a fight.  And just how much will Kip divulge about Justin's part in it, too?  As far as someone getting hurt (physically, I'm assuming you mean), that is still up for debate to be totally honest.  I haven't exactly crossed it off the realm of possibilities in light of the explosive nature of the campaign.  I DO know that people will get hurt emotionally in this story; I think that's inevitable with all the threads running through the plot. But there's a lot of love in this story, too, and eventually that will triumph over any of the pain.

I will get this one updated as soon as I can.  In the meantime, before I move onto "Paper Heart's Killer," I think a certain dog is calling my name again...LOL!  Darn Tricky!  Thanks as always for the kind words, lindc!  Big *hug* to you, Brian, Lee, and all the other peeps you've sent my way.:)

This chapter with the thoughts of the four men about the hate mongerers and how the two weeks will proceed are exactly what I was thinking reading the last two chapters. Justin had his fill of hatecrime already and Brian was an indirect sufferr to it, too. With this campaign its nearly as if they painted the bull's eye themself on their backs. And now Fin and Tony will be in the direct line, too. They're all very brave in my opinion, but I'm frightened for them. I can't think of a way, how Brian'll go with the lies of Kip and Marvin - he can't ignore them and can't call them on. Thanks for the update!

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading and for your thoughtful comments, my friend.:)  I really appreciate that!  I think it WILL cause some anxiety on Brian's part - he will have to decide how best to respond to what these men's accusations are.  Even if he does tell the truth and calls them out on it, it's still not going to reflect well on Fin's campaign.  And he may find out some things about the situation wtih Kip that he didn't know before, which will cause Justin to have to come clean perhaps, too...Brian may well find himself in the campaign of his life in the next chapter!  Hope you'll stay tuned - it shoul be very interesting to see how it turns out.

Oh, and BTW - in case I never said so before, thank you for the favorite author designation - that means the world to me!:)

Ugh. Stockwell always made my skin crawl! Brian is going to be livid when Kip and Telson tell their stories! This just gets uglier and uglier, but hey, that's politics!! I guess Tony and Justin's fears are founded!

Love it, darling!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Dear!  I would hate to be around Brian when he finds out what's going on.  It will all come out eventually, though, and I think he's going to come out swinging!  On the other hand, I could see where his previous cavalier approach to casual sex could come back to bite him in the ass (and not in a good way - LOL!).  Thanks so much for reading and commenting, my friend,I do appreciate that.:)

Just a p.s. I have been waiting for The Ides of March also.  I haven't seen it listed in my area yet.  I checked on line and it said it was released in Oct.  I don't know when I'll get to see it.  Guess I'll call my theater complex and ask.  I hate the Steelers, sooo  good luck to the Bengals..  In a slump for a while.  Time to win big!!  The peeps probably trying to get zzzz's that's why they haven't reviewed.  I don't usually beat them to the punch.  Hooray for me.  love 2 u.

Author's Response:

Wow - I assumed it was showing everywhere by now - perhaps we got it faster since he's a hometown boy.:)  We'll have to compare notes when we both get a chance to see it.  I think it will give me some inspiration for my story.:)  Take care, my friend.:)

Whoops-can't spell--guy thing!!  Did I say this was the best, best, best.  Sry got carried away. ha ha!  love 2 u again.

Author's Response:

That's okay!  I'm just glad you reviewed.:)  Hope you have a good Sunday - the Bengals are playing their biggest rival the Steelers today - go Bengals!  (Sorry, couldn't resist - do you have any idea how nice it is to finally have a winning record here???  LOL!).

Now it's coming--down and dirty.  I knew Thomas and Telson would be in the mix somewhere.  Smear tactics are always in campaigns somewhere.  Watch out boys it's coming fast and furious.  Hopefully, they, somehow, find out about the rat in the wood pile. My guess is not too soon though.  This story is shaping up really well.  As you know it's my favorite.  I'm doing really great now.  Rehab is dwindling.  Back to Doc's Tuesday.  H e will give me an update on work, hopefulky.  I am tired of not working.  They are so busy there.  Winter coming we get busier every day.  I miss my buds. love 2 u.

Author's Response:

Hi, dear friend.:)  Thank you for reading and reviewing - I knew I could count on you to do that.:)  I was beginning to wonder if anyone was still following this story.:(  I'm so glad to hear you're doing so well!  That's great news!  Sounds like you'll be back to work in no time, and I'm sure they're all missing you terribly at the hospital.:)

BTW - I've really been wanting to go see "Ides of March" with George Clooney in it.  Most of it was shot in Cincinnati near where I live (he's from here, actually) and his character is playing a candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania - weird coincidence, isn't it?  And I hear there's lots of dirty politics going on in there so maybe I can pick up some tips for my own story - ha!  Can't wait to go see it; perhaps over the Thanksgiving holiday hopefully.

Thanks again, my friend, for reading and taking the time to review - you know what a boost that is to my writer's soul.  Take care - big *hug* to you and the other peeps.:)~Kimberly
