I just finished endings and beginnings and was looking at your other stories. I had read the first two installations of Simons the other foot series and they gutted me so when I saw this, I thought I would take a chance that it might help reroute my headcanon and feelings about that story. so far, it has put me in a much better mental and emotional place from the after effects of the other story. So thank you! I don't know what will happen with Brian and Justin in this story but it has already made me feel better. I know this was posted by a fan and you're not active on this site anymore but if you ever see this, I hope that you are doing well!

This is the second time I've read this sequel to the Simon AU and I enjoyed it even more the second time around. I love the dimensionality of the two lead characters, and Justin's journey in particular is very convincing. The ending was realistic but possibly a little anticlimactic for me ... Suggesting that these 2 may never find their happy ending?

I've forgotten how well this was written, but I'm a little ambivalent about the ending. I couldn't see the relationship working from here.

this story was very well written but it pissed me off to the very end this is the one and only time where Justin and Brian broke up and i really didn't want them to get back together as infuriating as their story was in canon they still managed to find some growth and understanding within their relationship and maturity within Brian but this story didn't show that it only showed how Justin had something pretty special with a great man like Tyler and he threw it away because he was obsessed with Brian a man who didn't show his love or even respect through his words or actions he completely discarded Justin for a fling that he said was easier but I didn't see it. When Brian finally came to his sences he wasn't even humble and still didn't offer the same respect and devotion that he gave to Steve. It is just unrealistic that Justin would even except that and that Brian would ever offer it. sorry for getting so rialed up but as a writer that should be a good thing to evoke such a response fro a reader.

There are so many valid points bought up in this chapter alone. This was a very mature well written story. I'm sorry I did not review it earlier. This is the type of story I read fan fiction for.
The story is so honest and realistic. Justin is strong and unyielding, not the young enamored teenager any longer. Brian is a screw up but finally trying to grow up and face his fears.

I read this back in March and I just had to read it again. I wonder if there was a sequel. I loved this, it was exquisite and so well written. Such a pleasure. Definitely in my top 5 QAF fan fic favorites.

I must say I enjoyed the first few chapters completely. However later, it felt like the incomplete resolutions kept us far too long in limbo; even at the very end. We know B/J are going to have their off times, but making their reunion a dichotomy took so much away from the story. The first three chapters made me believe I would read all your work, but the ending made me realize I don't have the energy. There is a peak to a story and the eventual resolution. A sequel can once again bring up the angst, drama, and another resolution, but not incomplete. If your intent is for B/J to remain forever, having shadow lovers for each of them is not going to do it. I was one of the few that really appreciated the ending of QAF. The resolution was that B/J would love each other forever, but possibly not together. We just didn't have to witness their journey. That's resolution. But being unsure of themselves and each other just didn't fit for me. Sorry

How exciting to see this story I have missed your writting and hope this is the signs of more to come. Thank you for finishing this story, I loved how it ended with confidence that there will be a Brian/ Justin again but I can always trust that you put them back together.

It's past 2 am already, close to 3am. I came across this story. I started reading it then stopped because I cannot really stomach Brian loving somebody else, choosing him over Justin, not to mention hurting Justin really bad. But then I cheated and checked the last chapter and I saw some hope... But now Steve is coming to get Brian back. I cannot believed Brian can be so ^(&^*()&) to let himself be manipulated like that!! And if he ever let it happened again, then he is really $@(*&()*&$@!!! You are good.. you had my stomach knotted while reading some parts, almost wanting to vomit hahaha (I guess you would know what parts) and then have my heart beat so fast in some... I was touched by the wisdom of Ben and by the Cynthia's loyalty to Justin. When will your next update be? Please, please make it right. Please?!!
