When a story is finished and is published chapter by chapter regularly, it's makes the most fun to read, very reader-friendly - so thanks! You know what I feared when reading the tags, so again, thanks for letting our boys come back together again. I really like your writing-style and how you pictured Brian. He's more matured, more open about his feelings and I think he's now ready for a relationship. It's always a little bit sad to be somehow happy about the death of another person, but yeah, what should I say, I'm glad that Justin found his way back to Brian even if I'm still a little bit shocked that he broke it off with Brian the way he did. I also think it's sad that you are already ending the story here. There is definitely room for another story that would take place after this. Unfortunately I'm not going to write a sequel. Usually my sequels don't have the kind of success the first part has so, I've made a rule that I won't write a sequel to any story unless I personally really want to. Hi, I enjoyed reading this story. A bit disappointed , the way Justin broke off with Brian... hard to believe if you think about Justin's character from the show. Though, if one is to move on, most probably it would be Justin. I am glad that you potrayed Brian true to the character like in canon and believable. Honestly, I don't like it when they reunite due to circumstances because I believe it will be due to choice and nothing less. Here, even though it is due to amnesia it is due to choice so I am satisfied with the way you wrote it. I wish it was a bit longer and a bit more in detailed on why they broke up... the way Justin cut ties off Brian completely without Brian knowing (must be a reason).. Justin's relationship with Chris... Brian's with Logan. But I am glad that they are together.

It's like Ethan all over again, only Chris went too far in not only breaking off with Justin, but it makes you question his mental stability. Brian was waiting.
Author's Response: I'm sorry but I have to ask at what point did I hint that Chris used, cheated and manipulated Justin? I have only indicated that he was in a happy healty relationship that Justin deserved. Just because Brian couldn't let go doesn't mean Justin should sactifice his life to make Brian happy, and it doesn't mean that Chris was in the way of that. Justin really moved on with his life to better things.

Brian let out his rage and he needed it. He must have been in so much pain when Justin left him for the fake Chris. It's surprising for me because after season 5 even if he left for his future and his career I do not see him abandoned Brian. But hey it's your story, I just hope Justin gets his memory back and it will be complete.

About what happened after season 5, I've noticed there are a lot of opinions about what happened to Brian and Justin, this is just one option, there's no wrong or right answer :). Happily we have fanfiction so we can read about them! And there are a lot more stories where they are together than not :D.

Wow, so finally my curiosity is satisfied and my thoughts weren't that wrong… I‘m just glad it isn‘t more serious. Logan‘s reaction showed that Brian even talked to him about Justin...
Did I get this right? Did Justin broke off contact with Brian when he met his „wrong Chris“ without talking to Brian? He only changed his phone number… If so, I would be disappoibted of Justin and he can be sooo happy that Brian let him back into his life with such open arms, that Brian loves him so much that after all this time he still wears the ring, that Brian didn‘t move on completely and didn‘t give his heart to someone else… I'm really curious whether, if Justin hopefully gets his memory back soon, he'll have something to say about it or maybe I got something wrong or there are still parts of the story missing...
I really like your writing-style. „the next time I got amnesia“ – oh Justin, two times is more than enough! ;-)

And yes, I would imagine Brian has told Logan about Justin, that is why he immediately recognized him when Brian "introduced" him. And another yes, Justin broke things off because he me Chris. And third yes, Brian never got over Justin.

I'm so glad that Justin did everythig he could to get into that desk and find the ring!! He was definitely a man on a mission!! But I really have to give him credit - he didn't beat around the bush with Brian. He was open and honest about what or who he wants and didn't let anything deter him, though he did find out from Brian that he was the one who ended it and moved on. Though I now have to wonder that with Chris being dead, if Justin doesn't get his memories back, he will really never have the real answer.

„I‘m here now" - It‘s not so easy, I think and I just hope Justin will get his memories back soon, because whatever may happen between them, I don‘t think it would be good without Justin remembering everything. They have to sort out so much between them and 12 years were already a big agegap difference, now it‘s somehow 24 years!

This is definitely not easy for Justin. If he just could remember things would maybe be much easier. Justin doesn't remember all the hard times or good times they went through for example in the show.

So yes, their phone / video calls are maybe a bit awkward with tension, but hey, after eight years they are in contact again and I think it's really great that they seem to develop some kind of friendship. It seems as if there is someone with Brian and yes, why not, they were separated for a long time and Justin was in a relationship too, but this remark from Debbie gave me hope that Brian is currently not in a relationship... But maybe it‘s also nothing or no one important... Oh, I have to be patient...
And what a terrible and difficult situation while they were having this dinner. And somehow I can understand them all. I can understand that Justin is annoyed, but then again, he doesn't seem to have told anyone about Brian ... That was his decision. I wonder if he was happy those last 8 years... Was he really over Brian? What will he feel when he got his memories back...

Wow, this is really brave of Justin to look for Brian - from his point of view I can understand this, he needs comfort, things that are familiar to him... but he hasn‘t seen Brian for 8 years! So much may have changed and some things apparently have changed... he hadn‘t rebuilt Babylon? He‘s no longer living at the loft? He bought a house... Britin? Is he living there?
Oh, so Michael has custody of JR? You haven‘t changed much from the series. Why have you changed this and has it any further meaning for this story?
„And he‘s still single" - I really thought that Brian would be in a relationship (tag) ... Hm, so it remains exciting what the tag is about...
I wondered about this condition, that there should be no pictures of Chris at the funeral... Why doesn't Justin want to see photos of Chris? You mentioned in the previous chapter that he doesn't want to look at any photos from his cell phone or this photo album...

Author's Response: Yeah, in this story I decided that they didn't rebuild Babylon. It's been a while since I last watched the last episode so I don't exactly remember if they directly mentioned that it was rebuilt or did they leave that open. I think it can be interpreted both ways.
There's no story behind why Michael has JR but the reason I wrote that is I wanted to write a really angsty story and if there are two ways where you can go (like in this case JR is with Mel and Linds or Michael) I always chose the worst option.
Yes, at this point Brian's relationship status remains to be seen :).
No pictures at the funeral is Justin's way of survival. He's not ready to see what Chris looks like or learn about him yet. There will be right time for everything :).
Questions are always welcome and you're definitely not the only one who has them!

Oh shit, poor Justin... It‘s so horrible to imagine to lose your memory about such a long time frame... 12 years... so much had happened... You did such a great job in describing what this all includes and therefore means... not only regarding other humans who at least at the moment means nothing to him, but also normal things in every day life like using a mobile phone or being uncomfortable and a stranger in your own home... and, yeah, now we know about the relationship tag regarding Justin... It‘s so sad... I mean, now he‘s in love again with Brian who he hadn‘t had contact for 8 years! What happened? And he doesn‘t remember the man, „the wrong Chris" (I like this expression - :-) ) who he obviously was in love with.... He can‘t mourn... what will happen, what will he feel when he remembers again? It must be so difficult for Justin who only thinks about Brian who wants Brian but he is quite reluctant. While his friends who he no longer remember want to help him but know nothing about his life with Brian. Why Jennifer doesn't want to talk about it. There are so many questions I can't wait for more.

You were wondering about the same thing as YumumPM so I'll say the same to you that my readers are always welcome to make their own interpretations about my work but my own personal idea why Jennifer was awkward in that situation was that Justin really got over Brian and wanted him to be part of his past but not part of his future. I feel so bad for Justin. He is so lost and I don't know what Jennifer is doing. This dinner with all of his friends was a horrible idea. All he knows or has found out is things from when he was younger, when he really felt alive. The things his friends are talking about him doing, with the shelter and the hospital, he doesn't understand why they could be considered exciting things. I have a feeling he may not be staying in Los Angeles for much longer and may be headed to Pittsburgh. That's all he really knows.

I'm kind of surprised that Jennifer is inviting people over that Justin has no idea who they are. She really should talk to him first before doing that!! And that meeting with Brian. I feel so bad for Justin. He is trying to act like its now, but he just doesn't know how to.
Author's Response: Jennifer is trying her best but we all make mistakes. It's probably really hard to understand what an amnesia patient is going through if you haven't experienced it yourself. In Jennifer's mind Justin has known his friends for years so it's hard to understand he doesn't know them. She just wishes he could get his old life back :). Thank you for the comment!

Poor Justin! Brian didn't give him much. It was reminiscent of the scene from season 2 when Justin walked all the way to Brian's loft only to have Brian close the door in his face. At least he let him in this time and admitted he had feelings for him a while back. I find this story intriguing. I look forward to the updates.

Author's Response: Hah, yeah, I was almost finised writing this story when I noticed that Taylor is also Justin's last name :D. I was focusing so hard on other things. Author's Response: I know the readers would probably like to read Brian welcoming Justin with open arms but I tried to write this as realistic as I could. Or what I think is realistic. In the show, Brian was always reserved and not good with emotions, especially if the emotions were warm feelings towards another human being. And also even though Justin thinks he's eighteen, he's not a copy of his eighteen year old self. Amnesia doesn't really work that way. Thank you for the comment!

We're making good progress but I have a question I'm quite confused. Justin had his accident and when he woke up he thought it was after his bashing. So in fact his accident is after season 5 and his departure to New York since Debbie is talking about it? In fact there are not 12 years of coma it is just him who does not remember is that right? If that's it I can't wait to find out what happened with Brian and how Brian greeted him. I love your story!
Author's Response: Yes, Justin's accident happens around year 2013, so it's post season 5. He is not in a coma for 12 years, he just wakes up in the hospital after losing consciousness. He lived a normal life for those 12 years up to the accident. Everything that happened in the TV series, happened in this story too, and I will reveal a little what happened after season 5 in this universe. Hope this answers some of your questions :). Well, it certainly seems that it was a horrible accident, and based on all the damage, Justin luckily didn't suffer too serious of injuries. Here's hoping he is able to get access to his computer so he can start searching for information. Right now, he doesn't really have much to go on, so that would definitely be a good start.
