Why is Lindsay acting so high and mighty when she is just as much a servant as Daphne? I am still enjoying your story.

I always thought Lindsay had this sense of being high and mighty even in canon so I thought I should play along with that in this AU. Also since it's a historic AU and Lindsay is in higher position in domestic srrvice than Daphne and Micheal here she apparently feels entitled. Nevertheless Daphne spoke her mind :)

The house is a flurry of activity. Soon, very soon, we will know what Ethan is playing at, as they are getting ready to go down to the party now. I'm really hoping Ethan's plans get foiled. Somebody better be observant enough.
Lindsay sounds all prudish, (and homophobic). She sounds rather entitled, too. She'd do best to remember her postition within the household, or Daphne may have her job. (I'm assuming she's above Daphne is in her position, as Lindsay sure likes to play 'boss'.) It would be so sad if Master Kinney overheard one of those snide comments.

It was actually kind of fun to go a bit OOC with Lindsay and write her as the prudish one esp when it comes to Justin's relationship with Brian. She is placed above Daphne in the household stuff's heirarchy but I thought it would fit daphne's character to voice her own opinions as well.

OMG! Ethan IS an evil, manipulatuve bastard, isn't he? Did Brian not realize what Ethan was doing all those months? I have to wonder just how much of Brian's money he did spend. If Ethan really loved Brian, why was he out drinking and partying, instead of being with his true love? Brian should really heed Justin's warning regarding Ethan, not brushing it off, saying his bark is louder than his bite. But Master Kinney, The Bite can be deadly.
The Masquerade Ball will be a nightmare, I'm sure. I can just see Ethan incapacitating Justin, and switching costumes, and sneaking into bed with a very drunk, Brian Kinney. Oh lord! Where did that evil thought come from?
This story is so good. It's a very gripping read. You write the time era very well.
Thanks for the updates, and I'm looking forward to your next chapter. Oh, BTW, I just wanted to add how very much I like the pictures posted to your stories.

Just realized you had two chapters posted. Anyway, i have a feeling Justin is right to not trust Ethan. I'm wondering if he's broke, or at last falling on hard times. Why else would he be staying at Brian's, and purchasing a new coat with Brian's credit?
If Ethan is ignoring Justin, and acting like Justin's not even there, do I dare guess Ethan's got his sights set on Brian? If he was there for Brian after Emmett died, I could see him falling for The Face of God, Master Kinney. I just pray Brian never returned his affections. By the time this end of stay comes, I hope he hasn't wrecked to much havoc.
I'm off to read the next chapter.

I can't believe our 'house guest' is none other than the entitled Ethan Gold! *YUCK* Can't stand the man. Why do I get the impression he's not one to be trusted? And just what is the reason he's really at Brian's, if he hasn't been there for at least two years? I really hope he doesn't make a play for Justin. And just what is up with the Masquerade Ball? Who do they plan to invite if Master Kinney has practically been a recluse for two years? And I Hope To God... Brian and Ethan don't share a intimate past. Please make that NOT so!
I liked how you brought the canon characters into your story. Michael sounds like the spoiled, sarcastic idiot we all know, while still into comic books. He probably sneers at Justin because he's jealous Justin is the one being bedded instead of him. I like that Lindsay is a parlor maid (couldn't happen to a nicer person). Ted the trusty butler, but our dear sweet Emmett, seems to have had a short exit. It would be nice if someone found him and saved him, but to bring him back, would screw-up Brian's relationship with Justin.
Happy to see this update, and I'm certainly looking forward to your next chapter.
