Such a good chapter. The food pyramid discussion really made me laugh. Everyone knows 🍞 and pasta are bad to eat now. Are you going to write a new story about Ben's struggle?

Author's Response:

Hadn't really thought about a separate story regarding Ben, but I'm not ruling that out.  I still prefer Justin and Brian so after this arc, I will have to go back to the Kinneys.

Reviewer: Lorma (Signed) · Date: May 06, 2018 02:11 AM · On: Chapter 46- Dinner With Good Friends

Ben will be a good father to J.R.  she really got the short end of the stick with her biological parents.  Mel is so hard on her and Michael is so selfish.  I’m hoping Ben does leave him.

Author's Response:

Every child should be wanted and I think J.R. was always a baby that was conceived to prove a point rather than out of love.

I hope that Ben gets some sort of custody of Jenny and then leaves Michael in the dust.

Author's Response:

Ben loves her and let's hope that he gets to stay involved.

It will be interesting to see what Michael has to say.  I am sure that Ben will be alone to take care of JR.  I think that is a better alterative any way.  Justin and Brian will be there for him and help him be a good parent.

Dee Dee

Author's Response:

Michael is the wild card here.  It should be an interesting conversation.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: May 05, 2018 09:36 PM · On: Chapter 46- Dinner With Good Friends

Loved this chapter.  It is nice that Ben cares about JR.  Can't wait to see how the discussion with Michael goes.  I'm sure Debbie will weigh in on it.  Thank goodness Brian and Justin are for backing team Ben.  I think Emmett and Ted would be a support as well.

Author's Response:

I'm not too sure what Michael will think.  He balked at having Hunter and I think this may be even more difficult.  Like you said, Brian and Justin are on his side. (

Good Morning Darling! I was so happy to receive my update email, I could've cried. Instead I settled into my happy dance (think Snoopy), grabbed my coffee and blanket, and then settled in to read the last two chapters on the deck in the backyard. It's still a bit chilly up here in Rochester, NY (43 degrees) and Mother Nature NEEDS her damn Prozac. Someone should remind Father Time that she's gotten her damn Seasons mixed up again and he needs to give her the damn meds! Now for my review...

GIRLLLLLL!! Girl! Honey, I could just chew and spew nails at Michael, Mel and Lindsay! Talk about pissing me off to the point that I am pre-writing death scenes in my head... The neglect and disinterest that J.R. has been, and continues to be shown is both heartbreaking and anger-inducing. Basically she is being treated like a 'PAWN' and a 'CHECK' by the most selfish, self-absorbed idiots to ever be written about within the fandom EVER! I was really happy when Sam imparted the news to Brian about Ben's chances of getting permanent custody of Jenny. Now only if he can pass custody of Michael back to his Mama, all would be right in Ben's world.

I think Ben has the right idea that he and Michael will NOT work! I still can't figure out how men as intelligent and culturally-aware as David and Ben ended up falling for Michael. I know that in theory opposites attract but DAMN! Anyway, I digress... Ben is finally understanding that 'supposed' innocence does lose its charm eventually. That Michael won't even try to mature should tell him all he needs to know about the fate of his mismatched marriage. I say he should drop the zero, find him a hero and raise HIS daughter (she sure as hell isn't one to the other parents- just a maid and a toy). Hopefully, Debbie won't run true to form in her defense of her overgrown baby (insert lip curl here) but if she does, please write me into the story so I can kick some sight and sense into her. It's definitely long overdue if she continues to be blind to the faults of that whiny man!

I'm also hoping that when, not if (yep, I'm putting in my plug, LOL) Ben gets custody of Jenny that Mel and Lindsay are either ordered to pay Ben child support or have their parental rights revoked. Honestly, like Joan Kinney, the two of them shouldn't be allowed to raise a damn cactus, much less another human being. Those types of 'mothers' are just plain toxic to the idea of growing up with a sound mind. Too bad they can't be put in jail because their obvious neglect isn't physical; it's emotional, which in reality much worse, but also harder to prove. So at this point, I'm just looking forward to their comeuppance whatever form it takes.

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Author's Response:

Nichelle.  First, let me tell you your review was amazing.  Ben is finally coming to his senses regarding Michael.  He had some trepidation regarding pushing for parenthood , but I think he is ready.

My normal happy dance when I got my update email.  WOW things are erally up in the air for Ben, he has a lot to figure out.  Very sad to hear JR talk about her current home life.  L & M really are incredibly selfish.  Thanks for another great chapter!!!!!!!!!  Bill

I dont care how many times I read this chapter. I get all goose bumps when Justin comes rushing out. I cant explain it maybe it the talk with Jenn and Brian that was going on and then all the sudden Justin rushes out.

Jennifer reation is pricless

Thank you Love I always love this series/universe you have created and so happy that the muses will not let go  :)

Hopefully this is good news for Ben.  Brian is very happy with his life and fatherhood  They have a wonderful life.  Lots of stress coming up.

True.  Ben will probably have a fight but we'll worth it.

Thanks for the summary. I like this story so much, I actually forgot where it came from. I wish it was simple for kids to get the loving parent they deserve.

Author's Response:

I've been writing the series for so long that I thought a summary would be good.  Glad it helped.  Thanks for reading and commenting.  All children deserve living parents.  At least in writing I can make that happen.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2018 01:44 PM · On: Chapter 45- Good News And Bad News

Another brilliant chapter.  I love the review of how this started and that you figured out a way that Ben might be able to get custody.  Can't wait for that conversation.

Author's Response:

I've been writing this trilogy for so long that I thought this was a great opportunity to review the story and how they got to this point.  I struggled with the custody issue and glad it appears feasible.

Reviewer: sophiesmom (Signed) · Date: April 07, 2018 05:02 AM · On: Chapter 45- Good News And Bad News

Sam gave Brian sime great news. Can't wait to see how it plays out. Have a feeling Ben may be raising her alone. All the better if you ask me.

Gus is smart. He'll ask when he's ready and they'll be able to answer whatever questions he may have because they'll be prepared.

Nice that you went over everything from the first story this one and how they all connected.

Brian's thoughts are so Brian. I'm glad he's finally happy with all facets of his life.

I think this story is winding down to an end. Will miss it when it goes. Been with it from the first word in "The Stripper".

Author's Response:

Sophiesmom:

Wow.  Just wow.  I've been writing these stories for so long and I'm impressed that you are reading them for so long.  The discussion with Brian and Justin about the bashing will be interesting.  It seemed like a perfect place to put the review the entire series and I'm glad it fit in.  So happy that you are still enjoying it.  I may write some more in this universe-  not sure-  My muse went on a very long journey with this story and it hasn't finished yet.

Always so happy to get the update email.  I love this story!!!  Very interesting that Ben could get custody of JR.  Wonder what Debbie will think about that.  The bullying discussion with Gus should be interesting.  Thanks for the update!!!  Bill

Author's Response:

I think Debbie will fight Ben most likely but my muse will have to decide.  The bullying discussion will be difficult.

Reviewer: sophiesmom (Signed) · Date: March 11, 2018 05:53 AM · On: Chapter 44- The Father Father Talk

No words. I have no words for the first half of this chapter in reference to that idiotic little man. Can't blame his up-raising or mother for his delusional dream world he lives in. That's all his own doing.

Ben is doing his best the best he can. It will all work out in the end.

Please not have Michael at dinner. He's only going to try and monopolize Brian. Probably won't even notice JR or even Ben,Gus, or Justin. Can't there be a flood at the store?

Author's Response:

Love it, a flood at the store- we will see what the muses come up with. I really appreciate the comments you continually post.  Debbie is not to blame for Michael's parenting or lack thereof, but there will be consequences.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: March 11, 2018 02:40 AM · On: Chapter 44- The Father Father Talk

I have a feeling if JR is to grow up happy, Ben will need to find some way to get custody.  Michael is to selfish to raise her and would only use her to be close to Brian.  Not good.

Author's Response:

Ben really wants her and lets see if my muse can help make that happen.

Reviewer: Happy Gamma (Signed) · Date: March 11, 2018 01:04 AM · On: Chapter 44- The Father Father Talk

Good chapter.  So happy when I saw the new chapter posted.  Love this story, just not Michael & the girls.

Reviewer: bksbracelet (Signed) · Date: March 10, 2018 11:14 PM · On: Chapter 44- The Father Father Talk

Wow I am not sure Mel and Linda would ever agree to J.R. being out of their custody. This is a very interesting development. The guys are right that Michael isn’t and won’t be a full time parent and I suspect will put barriers up as well to stop Ben being the full time parent. He won’t see the alternative of Brian and Justin if it got that far being the parents as a good thing for J.R. just as aiding his obsession with his best friend

Author's Response:

My muse has added an unlikely twist to the story and we will see where it lands me.  In the beginning of the story, Michael appeared to be a doting father, but it is all face value.  I doubt he really cares about children.

Reviewer: sophiesmom (Signed) · Date: February 18, 2018 11:21 PM · On: Chapter 43- Evening At Britin

I wish Ben recorded JR on his phone. It would so help jis case. The same with talking to the idiot he married.

Ben is a good dad, and man. It is sad to listen to Jenny.

Wow what a selfish pig Michael has become. He should be thrilled his ‘honeybun’ is staying with them. I look forward to the next chapter to see what the lawyer says

Author's Response:

Michael has never really cared about Jenny as a child, more like an object to give him status.  Very sad for her.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: February 17, 2018 04:20 AM · On: Chapter 43- Evening At Britin

I love how Ben cares about JR.  Not so pleased with her mothers who feel that her doing their work is right.  Not too thrilled with Michael either.  He goes out and drinks rather than taking care of his daughter.

Author's Response:

Never been a fan of Michael or LInds and Mel.  I think everyone is glad that at least somebody is interested in her.

Author's Response:

Bill:

I've been writing this story for almost three years-  can't believe that folks are still interested in reading a story that has gone on for that long.  Glad that it is still holding your interest.  I've always wondered what Ben saw in Mikey.

I am in no hurry for you to finish this wonderful story.  I am excited about this turn of events of Ben wanting JR and all that will entail  You can get rid of Michael at any time.  What an ass.  Brian and Justin will do all they can to help JR and Ben.

Dee Dee

Author's Response:

Dee Dee:

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  I just wonder how many readers are still interested in reading a story that goes on and on.  Evidently, you are not alone in wanting the story to keep going.   Brian and Justin will help since they want Gus to be happy.  Of course, they care about J.R. but I'm not sure they would help some random child unless they had a connection to them.

Reviewer: Happy Gamma (Signed) · Date: February 11, 2018 01:05 AM · On: Chapter 41- Custody Battles

Well I have just finished all the completed chapters. I love this story and seeing this side of Brian. As for Mel & Linds, if there are two people who do not deserve to have childred it is them. Such self centered witches. Your writing is fantastic. I could feel all the emotion and turmoil in each chapter. I hope your muse is working and that you have ideas for the rest of the story. I will wait patiently for updates and check out the other stories you told me about. Great job.

Author's Response:

I'm so glad that you are enjoying the story.  True, it is not finished, but I'm still writing.  I have a current chapter with my beta and hope to write some more this weekend.  I'm not sure how long the story is going to be, especially since I thought it would be a short story and that was two years ago-  unbelievable.   Thank you for the compliment regarding my writing.  I am pleased that you feel all the emotion and turmoil from the characters, that is what I'm after.   I try to update regularly, but sometimes it is only once a month.  In the mean time, you can enjoy reading all the other stories on the site.  All my work in this fandom is on this site.  Enjoy, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

No one likes Lindsay not even Mel.  She is really about as bad as Michael and he is idiot personififed. Good chapter.  The wheels are turning and not in Lindsay's direction.

How blind deaf and dumb are these woman that they can't see that what they're doing with JR is going to end in with the same result as Gus? Mel glad thst she'll be childless for the weekend.

Lindsay concerned that she's losing Brian's money and only thinking of getting it back by sharing custody. Get out of your dream world sweetheart.

Wow things re now coming out into the light. Brian is feeling a little baffled that his two friends see their kids as a means to an end in getting to Brian. Ben has a full on fight on his hands with Mel and the Novotnys. Linds is just getting fed up not making any headway with the life she wants!

Author's Response:

I think you're right that Brian is seeing what his friends are really like at this point in time and he's not really happy with them.  He always fought for LInds and Mikey in his life, but now realizes they want him to stay the way he was, not the way he is.

Reviewer: Nichelle Wellesly (Signed) · Date: December 05, 2017 08:22 PM · On: Chapter 40- To Be A Father or Not To Be A Father

Hey Sandy! I'm so happy you updated this and not a moment too soon!

Well, it's certainly NOT hard to discern just why Lindsay wants Gus back in the household, now is it? Not only is he the built-in babysitter, he's also the long-hoped-for and free maid she's always wanted. It must kill her to know that if she wants a clean kitchen, she'll have to get off of her rusty, dusty ass and do it herself! I'm glad that Brian put the call on speaker so that Justin could here the conversation himself. Not only that, but it kept Brian calm and not apt to give Lindsay any ammunition she'd think she could use against him. Smart move!

As for his conversation with Ben, I really agree that he needs to spend more time with Jenny. Michael, as always, is a non-factor and unimportant in the grand scheme of that little girl's life. I really hope that if and when Ben has her, that he doesn't tell Michael his plans at all. He'll just use Jenny as an excuse to be all up in Brian's face, place and space. The arrangements should be between the 'adults' Ben, Brian and Justin while letting the 'kids' Mel, Michael and Lindsay keep playing by themselves. It's obvious that the latter three will NEVER grow up!

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

Author's Response:

So glad you are enjoying the story, Nichelle.  Gus is LIndsey's little helper or in her case, big helper around the house. She misses him for his work, not so much for being her child.  I hope my muses find a way to help J.R.  This story has a mind of its own and for a short ( supposedly 2-4 chapter tale) it has grown a lot.

Brian is more thoughtful then Lindsay or Michael.  I hope Ben can work things out because JR is in a losing position.  Great chapter.  Very insightful.

My life is so busy and I'm often limited to weekends to write.  I have been super busy on weekends trying to get a side business up and running that it limits my time too.  I do have another chapter started so hopefully it will not take so long to post.  As for the muses keeping the story going- I do believe it has to have an end- but maybe a continuation in another story might be in order.,

Great to hear from you again. I love this story.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the comments-  It means a lot that people are still reading hte story.

As much as Brian loves Gus, he never should have flat out given them money. Any money for Gus' needs should have been payed directly by him. They're his parents and were to raise him without Brian, isn't that the way it was suppose to be from the very beginning? Why was it expected from him? No reason other than greed.

They won't give Ben anymore time with Jenny merely out of spite. He so badly wants to be a father but married an imbecile who only cares about keeping up with the Kinney.

Lindsay's fighting a losing battle. Doesn't she realize it yet?

Author's Response:

I so agree about the money.  I think he wanted to make up for his poor childhood, trying to ensure that Gus had everything, but he beleived in Lindsay's desire to offer that to Gus.  Instead she is more concerned about Gus being the money tree rather than the child.  Lindsay is anything but persistent.

Poor Gus what a scene.  He seemed to rally on the way home.  Getting one on one time with his dad was a great idea.  Still very happy this story is continuing.

Gus has everything figured out.  Even though Brian and Justin have everything legally tied up, Melanie is going to do her best to undo things.  I don't think she has a chance.

Author's Response:

Brian is nothing but exacting and he won't ever tell Gus he can do something unless he is sure he can deliver.

I love their family life. The girls', not so much. Gus is ever thoughtful thinking that Jenn would love to have just time with him and separate time with Colin. Just like spending time with just Brian.

I see a big custody battle coming up, the girls reduced to visitations only based on whether Gus wants to see them. Poor Gus to be put in the middle. Brian and Justin will make sure he talks about how he feels about what's going to be going on at the time. They always look out for his well being.

Author's Response:

Brian and Justin have always wanted what was best for Gus and if the best was living with Mel and LInds then that is what they would have pushed for.

Loving this story and look forward to each update. Michael really has no redeeming features does he? Only considers JR in terms of what he wants to do and doesn't even take her into consideration as a person at all. Don't even get me started on his neglect and thoughtlessness in his own relationship with Ben -I don't know how Ben has lasted this long with his immature, selfish and ignorant husband. I cringe to think it's some sort of physical attraction - brrrrrr, I think I just sicked up a little lol.

Author's Response:

I never understood what Ben saw in Michael-  I can't even imagine he would be hot in bed.  Michael is just not a critical part of the gang in my opinion.  So glad you are enjoying the story and thank you for taking the time to write.  It means a lot

Lindsay and Mel are in for a big surprise when they go to pick up Gus.  Michael is such a poor excuse for a father, partner and best friend.  Hopefully Ben is getting wise to that fact.

Author's Response:

Ben is quickly questioning his relationship with Michael and Mel and LInds will quickly realize that you cannot turn back time.

Reviewer: YumYumPM (Signed) · Date: October 10, 2017 04:09 AM · On: Chapter 38- Reality Check

Looks like Ben is finally realizing that he married a child.  I know he'll do whatever is best for JR.  Hope that Mel and Lindsay don't do something stupid in regard to Gus.  My God,  I'm talking about Mel and Linds, of course they'll do something stupid.

Author's Response:

J.R. is still a pawn to be tossed among her many parents.  so sad, but Ben has the right idea.

Reviewer: PA Boi (Signed) · Date: October 10, 2017 02:59 AM · On: Chapter 38- Reality Check

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this story!!!!!!!!!!!!  I was so happy to see your update.  Poor Gus, hope he doesn't get put in the middle at shcool pickup.  OMG, the munchers finally missed Gus, they must be on drugs.  Mikey so clueless, that is something we can always count on.  I wonder when Ben will have enough.  I thought it was great that he thought of Brian as Mikey's hobby - that made me laugh out loud - I may steal that line.  Thanks for the new chapter, can't wait to see the big showdown at school.  Bill

Author's Response:

Bill:

Again, as always, thanks for your continued support and comments on this story.  I'm so glad you liked the line about Brian being Michael's hobby-  it just really seemed to fit.  Gus and J.R. are the ones that are really being hurt.  It sucks to think your own parents don't have time for you.

Reviewer: sophiesmom (Signed) · Date: October 10, 2017 02:43 AM · On: Chapter 38- Reality Check

The girls are definitely in for a shock when they get to school. Stupid women who care about themselves first.

Michael is a lost cause. Living like things never change in his world is pitiful. Or pathetic as Brian would say.. As for Jenny, I blame Mel. She picked him. He's too immature and selfish to be a father. I really never saw any endearing qualities in him that Ben should be attracted to.

Brian will be getting his new painting although probably not until Justin is done the mural.

Author's Response:

I never got why Mel chose Michael for the father.  It would have made more sense to go with Ted-  she's been friends with him forever and she knows he is solid ( he had cleaned up his act by the time she wanted another child)-

Reviewer: rulisteningbj (Signed) · Date: October 10, 2017 12:18 AM · On: Decisions

Oh, my goodness when will Michael grow up. He really needs to listen to Ben's suggestion to wait to discuss have JR more at a later time.  Not going to be well received by Mel.  As for Mel and Lindsay they are going to have a rude awakening when they show up to the school.  Looking forward to a show down.

Dee Dee

Michael is stuck on Brian and probably will not grow up.  the girls will be in for a rude awakening when they show up at school.  thanks for continuing to read

Thank you so much for the comments and I really appreciate you taking the time to write.  The girls will be in for a surprise once they get to school.  Never understood the Ben/ Michael dynamic.

Reviewer: Nichelle Wellesly (Signed) · Date: October 09, 2017 08:27 PM · On: Chapter 38- Reality Check

Lindsay, Mel and Michael = the most INEPT 'parents' ever to exists! I am almost salivating waiting for Tweedledumb and Dumbelina to arrive at the school, only to be told that they can't have Gus to go with them. And then when Mel finds out about the agreement Brian and Lindsay legally had BFEORE Gus was even born... Jumping Jehosephat's Jockstrap, I CAN'T WAIT for that bit of news to be made public, LOL

As for Ben's talk with Captain Asinine, I honestly feel sorry for the Professor. Trying to school Michael would be like trying to teach a sponge how to independently wash the dishes....Uh, it just ain't gonna happen! The good news is that he is mentally preparing himself to realize that being married to Michael is a waste of time (I've never understood their dynamic in the series). I find it immensely troubling that after all the years Brian and Justin have been together (longer than Michael and Ben, I might add even with the short-term breakups), Michael still holds Brian to some bullcrap double standard.

Okay, so Michael doesn't like change but when Ben points out just how much Michael's life has since high school, he's actually proud of those changes. Yet he remains willfully blind and DUMB when it comes to his friends? He can't blame his continued stupidity on the fact that he didn't go to college. Some of the wisest people didn't but they just happened to grow up, face reality and actually live their lives on and with purpose, not waiting for life to happen to them (look at Emmett, just saying). So all that said, I can't see why or how ANY of them, including Ben, are still associated with Michael. I know that may sound harsh but there it is... There is nothing in common beyond a shared past and if that's the only bind that is still holding them together, it's time to let it go and move forward while letting Michael continue to live in the past.

Looking forward to the next chapter!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

~Nichelle

I love the interaction between Gus and Colin, with Gus being ignored by his moms he still loves Colin and is not jealous of his little brother. I can't belive the condition of Linz's kitchen it makes you wonder if JR is fed enough.

Author's Response:

thanks for your comments-  I'm pleased to see you can envision the trash that was in LIndsey's kitchen.  It is always hard for a writer to know if the descriptions do their job.  I think the girls are just too lazy and preoccupied to take care of their kids.

How on earth could Linz and Mel not see how lonely Gus is, how they treat him as a burden, putting their selves before a little boy who just wants some love and attention, I hope the judge sees these selfish women are not in Gus best interest. His daddies and and Chole and Colin all love Gus and tell him everyday. Some women are just to immature to care for a child.

Hey Sandy! EXCELLENT Chapter! I can't wait for Lindsay and especially, Melanie to get theirs. I really don't think she cares for Gus at all. He's Brian's son and a difference would always be made between Gus and her daughter. Lindsay is... LAWD HAM TURKEY, there just aren't enough words in ANY language to say how much I loathe her in this. She is the worse kind of abuser; the kind of viper that you never see coming until she hisses just before striking. I really can't wait to see her get hers.

Hopefully, Michael will stay out of it, keep his BIG MOUTH shut for a change and actually listen with open ears, instead of the selective hearing he's known for. Even Deb, isn't defending and barking up the tree of 'mother's rights' this time. Perhaps she is finally acknowledging that although she smothered her son, not all women are created to be anything more than a walking uterus. That particular body part does NOT a mother make! It's just anatomy.

Looking forward to the next chapter of this wonderful story!

Happy Writing and HUGS,

Thank you for your wonderful review.  It means a lot to have specific feedback on the story.  I agree that Melanie treats Gus differently and I always thought that her talking bad about Brian in front of Gus should have been something Lindsay attempted to stop.  I feel that Lindsay has always seen Gus as a way to tie her to Brian and to have that 2.2 kids in the burbs with Brian and she in the nice suburban household.

Darn, I guess that means Gus misses desert.  But I like that Brian let the girls have it.  It's time the family learns that the girls have not been taking care of their son.  The nerve of them trying to say he couldn't go to soccor came.  I wanted to strangle Lindsay.

Author's Response:

I want the chocolate cake too!!!.  Its Brian's money and if he wanted to pay for Gus' camp, let him-  It wouldn't matter if Gus was living with him or not.  I often think that Mel and Linds see Brian as a personal money tree but when he tries to have a say so in how that is spent, they act like the money is their's.

Thanks for the update. They are two loving dads.

* hugs  *

Author's Response:

Yes, they do love Gus and I think Brian was always surprised that he bonded with his son.

Justin and Brian are so good with Gus.  Who is watching JR?

Author's Response:

JR is also caught in the crossfire of the girls busy lives.  Brian and Justin are concerned with Gus.

Sweet!  Gus is so lucky to have Brian and Justin as parents.

Author's Response:

We all want parents like Justin and Brian.

Happy that Gus's Moms don't seem to mind him living with his Dads.  Still worried they will fight when they realize what is really happening.  They ignore him but I think they won't want to let Brian have him full time especially aince there wouldn't be any more support money from Brian.  Really pleased to see your update!!!  Bill

Author's Response:

Bill:

Thanks, as always, for your continued support and comments.  I think there will be fall out and I don't think it will be pretty.  I'm working on the next update and have some ideas for future chapters.  Of course, some day the story will have to end.

Author's Response:

Thank you for your comments and I'm thrilled that you love the story.  Lindsay is just too busy for her son.

I had a smile on my face just picturing that last scene.  Brian, Justin, Colin and Gus are too cute for words.

Author's Response:

Thank you. Glad it made you smile- that is always a compliment when my readers can picture a scene

Wonderful united parenting but stormy times ahead me thinks

Give Gus time and he'll get use to being at his fathers' even if he isn't glued to their sides.
The scene Brian played in his head is exactly how it would olay out with Mel and her mouth.
Sweet update.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the kind words and affirmation that my thoughts on Mel and LInds' words ring true.  Gus will get used to his new home, but it may take time.

Poor Gus seems starved for attention.  Justin and Brian are doing the right thing.  I can't believe this will continue to go smoothly.  I am still loving this story so much.

Dee Dee

Author's Response:

Dee Dee:

Thanks for telling me you are still in love with the story- that means a lot.  Gus will get the attention he needs but everything may not be smooth sailing-  nothing ever is when raising children.

Reviewer: bktush (Anonymous) · Date: April 14, 2017 08:00 PM · On: Chapter 32- Tears and Fears

It's kind of sad to watch Gus he tries so hard to please, he just wants to be loved, he seems to think maybe daddy and papa will tire of him like his moms, he doesn't know how Brian was starved of love when he was little and will make sure Gus knows he is loved and wanted.

Author's Response:

While Gus has spent a lot of time with Brian and Justin, he is still getting used to being there full time and is figuring it all out.  I'm sure he will push their buttons like any 10 year old- let's hope that doesn't get too out of hand

Reviewer: bktush (Anonymous) · Date: April 14, 2017 07:55 PM · On: Chapter 31- Gus' New Home

I really like how Brian and Justin make an effort to be a family of four. Gus needs Colin as much as needs his daddy and papa. It's kind of strange Brian is a CEO and Justin is well known artist and the find time to be parents, but a lawyer and a gallery manager can't seem to  do anything they are so busy.Bull, they make the time ifit is about them.

Author's Response:

Thanks for letting me know that the story is believable.  I think Brian and Justin work really hard to make time for their family. While Justin's dad kicked him out as a teen, his formative years were very loving so he has a good role model there.  Brian has an anti role model, knowing what not to do is important as well.

Reviewer: bktush (Anonymous) · Date: April 14, 2017 07:41 PM · On: Chapter 30- A Talk With Lindsay

I can't understand Linz's half ass attention to Gus, she fought tooth and nail for Brian to be the father and when he is no longer a baby she just uses him to watch another child they shouldn't have had. They are to self centered to be raising children who still need their parents.

Author's Response:

I think for Lindsay is the idea that she would have Brian's child- keeping her tied to him forever.  But then the reality hit and she realized that a child is a full time job and I've always felt that she was raised by a nanny and had bery little parental interaction ( hence the continuing need for their acceptance).  So when Gus was no longer the cute baby for everybody to ooh and ahh over and needed her time, she decided that she was really too busy.  Not being able to afford a nanny, the next best thing was to involve Brian who was always asking to be more involved in Gus' life.  Perfect solution, but now things are going to get dicey.

Wow.  A whole room just for Legos.  Brian and Justin are indeed the best parents ever.

Author's Response:

People have whole rooms dedicated to trains so why not Legos?  But yes, Brian and Justin are the best parents ever.

I love how sweet Gus is with Colin.

I have a suggestion: make sure Gus can articulate the difference between him being a 'big brother' to Colin and helping feed him and "watching his sister".  Depending on how you choose to write the story going foward, you may require Gus to tell someone why it is different.

Author's Response:

Great idea.  I think Gus needs to spell out that this is his choice to feed and play with Colin rather than being told to do so.  ( like with JR)  thanks for the suggestion.  thank you for letting me know you are enjoying the story.

I am still worried about Mel & Linds.  Poor Gus loves being with his Dads so much.  Always happy to see an update for your story!!!  Bill

Author's Response:

Bill:

Thanks for continued support of my writing.  Love that a writer like yourself enjoys my work.  Mel and Linds are very selfish.  Hard to believe that Lindsay would just let Brian have Gus.  We will have to wait and see how it pans out.

Reviewer: sophiesmom (Signed) · Date: April 05, 2017 01:54 AM · On: Chapter 31- Gus' New Home

Yeah really did seem too easy. Good thing they have those documents and Mel, as good a lawyer she may be, just isn't good enough if she didn't give him all the paperwork he needed to sign. And lets not forget she didn't file anything.
Once Gus settles into a routine and knows that someone is always at the house then things will fall into place.

Author's Response:

It will take a little bit of time for Gus; there are still some rough areas.

YAY new chapter!!

I can't wait for that the claws to come out. Sure the girls have to wake up some time.

Poor Gussy needs his DADS

~Teresa~

Author's Response:

I'm not so sure the girls will realize right away.  Sad for Gus to realize that his moms think so little of him.

Reviewer: PA Boi (Signed) · Date: April 03, 2017 01:21 PM · On: Chapter 31- Gus' New Home

Really happy to see the new chapter and it was great as usual. Anxious for a showdown with Lindsay & Melanie but also dreading it.  Hate to see Gus put in the middle.  Bill

Author's Response:

the showdown will definitely come-  It should prove interesting.  As always, thanks for writing and supporting this fic.

Thanks. I was a little worried. I'm sure the girls will make trouble.

Author's Response:

Unfortunately, the girls will probably not be easy.

It's great that Justin is thinking about what could happen if the girls decide to fight them on Gus' custody.

Author's Response:

Justin is worried but so is Brian.  They both want what is best for Gus.

Brian and Justin are wonderful fathers to Gus.  He is lucky to have them.

Author's Response:

Yes, Brian and Justin are great dads.  they love both of their sons.
