That was great! I love Brian and Daphne, I think they are great. You also took time to make their friendship plausible by pointing out that Brian's other friends were so immersed in their own lives, and he needed someone to keep him company. I loved the image of them completely baked, passing over a joint of weed and gossiping. Justin's jealousy is also very plausible- remember how he acted round Molly? He is possessive over people he loves- even though he seems too innocent to show it. He want Brian all to himself, he wants Daphne's affections for his own. Everyone has to be 100% his, and if they aren't, he gets jealous. You showed that so very well. The most hilarious part was when he tried searching for other friends, and couldn't because they all thought he wanted them as fuck buddies. And him acknowledging that Daphne was the best friend was so sweet. Great one shot.
Author's Response: Yay! I am so glad you enjoyed it. I don't think Brian's friends meant to forget about him and to an extent they didn't, but he wasn't a priority for them anymore and he didn't have anyone. Daphne checked up on him and they formed a very close bond. I think Brian and Daphne would be awesome together stoned. I just realized that the two one-shots I wrote that included her make her come off as a total pothead but I think Daphne would be a fun pothead so that's okay. You are right on that. Justin is sweet but he does tend to be a little possessive with the people in his life, at least when it comes to emotional attachment. I still don't know how Justin went about trying to find other friends but I figure that he got annoyed with it very quickly lol. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Oh my, what a wonderful ending and proposal! *sigh* Now *that* is the right way to do it, Brian! Lol Thank you for writing such a lovely story. The bromance of sorts Brian has with Daphne is sweet and annoying, Lol. It makes sense because Justin left both of them, and both need a good friend. Justin's third wheel feeling is understandable also. What can ya do? :)
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the proposal! I was worried because I feel like it is sort of a non-Brian thing to do that in public. But I couldn't think of anywhere else to have it occur and neither could Brian nor could we think of a plausible reason to clear the streets unless he did it at 4 in the morning. So he just went for it lol. I'm glad the bromance came off that way! I think Justin feels the exact same as you do in that regards. And you're right. What can ya do about that? If you keep writing these wonderful little stand alones, I'm going to forget how much I am missing "Feed & Extract" OK, maybe not... but I am sill thoroughly enjoying these!
The little interlude where Justin gave up finding that new best friend was too funny! And that last line is just perfect!
I absolutely love your writing style... your Justin & Brian are alive and true to the characters we remember.

I loved it I can see Brian becoming close to Daphne as she was never afraid of him.
Author's Response: Yes, I always wished we had more Daphne in the show. She was one of the very few people who supported Brian and Justin's relationship without judgment from the get go.
