Author's Response: Brian and Justin really do have their hands full, but it should make for some entertaining situations... Michael's affections for Dr. Edwards will soon become apparent, making him reevaluate his decision to release him from his care. Gus truly is adorable you can't help but love him... How wonderful to see more of this story!!!  I love all the snippets you've given us, letting us know what everyone is up to.  Will Dr. Edwards ever realize that Mikey has transferred his affections to him?  Emmett and Ben make such a nice pair!  Getting a new place is probably best for Mel and Leda.  I have to admit that Brian tried really hard with that dinner, I wouldn't have known to boil the pasta either my first time cooking it.  There's lots more that I enoyed like how sweet of Brian to help Claire out and the Trojan Inc samples.  And to top things off all the wonderful pics!!!

Great chapter :) Poor Carl....Debbie is definitely going a mile a minute with the wedding planning, if she doesn't slow down she's going to miss some very important signs regarding her fiancé's health.

Kudos to Michael's doctor for making him see the truth about his feelings as well as the seriousness of his situation. He needed to hear some harsh truths to maybe help him accept and take responsibility for everything that's happened.

Justin is being a little hypocritical and unfair here. On one hand he berates Brian for not telling him about his doctors appointment, but then withholds telling him about this Tim character the next. This will go over well for Justin in the long run.

This was a great chapter :) I love how you incorporated that little bit of Gale Harold the actor as eye opener for Mikey.

Lindsay is now starting to realize that the grass isn't greener on the other side, that what Sam was offering her was a facade. I can't say that I feel sorry for her in the least.

I'm sorry no matter how hard I try, I still can't warm up to Emmett and Ben being together. I guess it's because I feel that Emmett is picking up Michael's leftovers.....just my opinion though.

It's great that Michael is adapting in prison, maybe he can find his balance.

.The scene in the store is just fantastic. The interaction between Brian and Justin is so perfect that moved me imagining the scene and I was laughing like one goofy to read it.

Loved the scene of Gus asking Brian about his body. This is one of the situations that all parents will one day spend with their children and how Brian, many parents require help. Only Gus could do Brian did not know what to say about sexuality.

Good thing Lindsay did not started raving about Brian. It would be very difficult for Brian to go through this too with his girlfriend and mother her son.

Great chapter, although I must admit that I got a little nervous toward the middle when the chin rat showed up. Luckily our boys took the time to talk things through before doing something rash.

Debbie's deception has definitely caught up with her here. Not excusing Mikey for what he has done, but if she had been honest with him from the beginning, maybe he could have been diagnosed sooner. And Leda to the rescue :) even though I am not a big Mel fan, I think it's wonderful that she has someone to lean on after all the hurt that Lindsay has caused.

You have one power packed chapter again. Brian’s confrontation with Lindsay was spot on. She not only left her partner/wife but she callously left her son and friends. She could have at least called everyone when the deed was done. She should sigh over her rights.

The hair on the back of his neck starts standing up, as he watches this guy lean in and kiss Justin.

What could Justin have been up to with that guy? It doesn’t add up. Brian should confront him as soon as possible.

I can't believe that Lindsey is doing what she is doing: leaving Mel. Mel is going to be furious. Now it's great to see Ben and Em together. I'm glad Pierre is gone and that Brian proposed to Justin. Great update.

Hi, Kathleen - sorry I haven't been too religious about reviewing lately - things have been crazy!  But I wanted to let you know how much I've been enjoying your story.  I appreciate all the details you are placing in your story, and you're doing a good job of portraying Lindsay as a cold-hearted 'b' here.  I actually feel sorry for Mel!

And I LOVED this little exchange between the boys:

 

“Brian, you are not going to get me to lie down in bed with you here in the store. You’d probably make me ride you just to test the springs.”

“All right. Fine. I’ll just have to get the salesman to help me check it out.”

“You’re impossible.”

Author's Response: Yeah, Lindsay really is a bitch in this fic, but the good thing is Brian got his parental rights restored. Emmett and Ben are going to take it slow, trying to become good friends first. I'll write a passionate love scene when the go all the way, for now their just fooling around, petting... It looks like Pierre is out to cause a bit of trouble. It's not by coincidence that he keeps showing up where he's not invited....I mean really, what is the likelihood that he would just so happen to have another client at that particular furniture store just when Daphne and Justin show up.

Mikey on the other hand, continues to be the hot damn mess that he is. Debbie gave him a good bit of advice and I hope he takes heed to it. Tsk tsk tsk...Lindsay better get her shit together before she fucks up her relationship with Mel.

Still don't know how to feel about Emmett and Ben. On the one hand, Ben is technically a free man now that his marriage to Mikey is over, but on the other hand Emmett and Michael were friends and it's not been a long enough time frame since the break up.....that's just my opinion.

Author's Response: Pierre is truly a jerk, but Justin catches on fast. Debbie is the typical mom trying to protect her son, but he seems beyond help at this point... Poor Mel, Lindsay isn't even trying very hard to hide her relationship, there's bound to be trouble paradise. I so love a long chapter and this one was action packed. So much going on... Pierre still creeps me out. Justin needs to tell Brian and hire someone else. Michael is still delusional. He's as bad as Pierre. Loved the sex scene; that was a nice ending to a great chapter.

It’s good that Debbie finally admitted to being bias about Mikey and Brian. I can understand that Mikey is her only child and that she would be very protective of him, but facing the reality of the situation can only help Mikey in the long run.

What type of friends does Brian have? First Mikey now Lindsay. I just hope Lindsay doesn’t go the Mikey route. Brian and Justin would be shopping for furniture for a while longer. Lindsay doesn’t even want Emmett to be happy with Ben. She seems to be envious of anyone being happy other than herself.

And what’s up with Pierre? He doesn’t know Brian well, LOL. You’re got some drama going on. Good.

I thought I had review but apparently not. This was one exciting chapter. You did a wonderful job of portraying Michael’s madness with just enough logic permeating through it. Scary!

I also thought that Brian was letting Debbie get away with too much when it came to Debbie’s anger directed at him instead of Mikey. Brian loves Debbie and Mikey; I couldn’t believe he allowed Michael to be arrested either. I can see Brian dropping charges even if Mikey axed murdered Justin.

I had a feeling Debbie's initial reaction was going to be to place the blame on Brian somehow. For once (and I can't believe I'm saying this) I agree with Mel about keeping JR as far away from Mikey as possible. He is showing himself to be quite unstable, how on earth could he ever think that Brian was planning on marrying him? When Brian finds out that Mikey took Justin's ring, there is going to be even more hell to pay.

I've alot of Michael bashing stories, but i love the Crazy unhinged Michael you've created. I also hate the end of every chapter, because i want another update right now. I see Michael getting some cheap public defender and confessing all (idiot) or somehow getting released and going after Justin. I cant wait to see if Brian set Michael right and tells him the rings are for Justin. Great Update!!

If the writers were more in tune with Brian's character they would have seen that Brian out grew that friendship even before they were out of high school. If only we wrote the show... Ha, ha, ha... I'm really enjoying this. Mikey's immature behavior is comical. And I loved the Chicago excursions. I wondered why BJ didn't visit the Chicago Art Museum , though. Come to think of it, did Mikey work the diner when he was out of work after his breakup with David?
