Author's Response: Hi, Meme$veryrich, nasty ass Mike Novot and nasty ass Ian Gold both just might be cooking up too much in the Pitts for either to follow Brian to the windy city. Poor Justin.
Sorry, though, but i won't be able to post those chapters until sometime tomorrow. I'm about to go on mommy-duty in moment now. Later, Sincerely, Delores.

Of all the times for Justin to not be a good little snoop and miss out on an important part of a phone call. I thought he was totally out of the closet! Poor Gus, his party is destined to be horrible even if Justin manages to show up. I still have my doubts he'll actually make it there. Can Lindsay and Mel be anymore nasty? And to act like that in front of a soon to be six year old child. Oh yeah, they are the good parents...might as well just drop the kid off at an animal shelter and hope he gets adopted before his time is up. It does seem odd that Brian seems more attached to Harold's kid then to his own son. Just another sign of Brian's unstable mental health if you ask me. I'm afraid his Tax Fever might be to the point where he needs medication and round the clock nursing. I can't wait to see what's going to happen in Chicago. I doubt he'll have time for a trip to the Sear's tower but maybe he could make a quick stop at the Lincoln zoo and pick up a Lion with shape teeth to bring home as a watch cat to guard the yard from peeping toms Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori... all this 'out of the closet' talk, LOL, rolling on the floor. Lindsay? what did she do... Mel's the real meanie; Lindsay's just trying to stop Brian from get others to do his dirty work for him (hahaha).
And, no, Brian's not more attached to Harry's kid vs Gus. Gus and Brian are actualy very close that's why he's taking it so hard that his daddy won't be at his party, and also that's why Brian had a hard time telling hm that. It will be the first special event Brian's ever missed. Also that two weeks he spend away on his honeymoon is an unusually long time for him to go without seeing Gus.
For a long time Brian felt that Gus was the only person on the plantet that he can truly trust, so he doesn't want to do anything to tarnish that relationship. In fact, in a previous chapter it was mentioned that the animosity between Mel and him is all on the account of Brian not relinguishing his parental rights to her. He had said she can have her own damn kid if she wants one and that he's never going to sign Gus over to her or anyone else.
"Can't wait to see what... happen in Chicago." Well, probably for the exceptional of the habitually wiinds in Chicago, I guess it will remain pretty calm there. However, all the fireworks might be sparkling here and there back home in the Pitts.
Later. Sincerely, Delores.

What is Ethan doing at Brian and Justin's place?
I hope Justin tell Ethan to go away. Please update soon.
Great chapter.
Author's Response: Hi, Lexa... it's such a thrill to hear from you again. Keep it coming... thanks.
'I hope Justin tell Ethan to go away" Huh-huh, you can bet he's defintiely going to tell him to go away, but that would be something that Ethan would anticipate him to do. So most likely he came with a trick up his sleeve lol. Next chapter will be posted Sunday. Have to scurry over to mom's house. Will update tomorrow when I return.

I've just discover this story 11 days ago (chapter 53) and read it all at ones.
I don't mind Anti-Michael so much because I didn't like his character on the show. But I never anticipated for it to go so long. I keep waiting for someone to stop him (maybe Troy will see them one day going in and call the police).
About the hate, forgate I said that. I don't know why I did.
I'm interested enough to keep on reading. I have to know how all this will end....lol
Mariana
Author's Response:
Hi, Mariana. Love you, dear. And, thank you so much for getting back to me. I was so afraid you were abandoning the story when you said it was about hating Brian and Justin. But I kind of suspected that I might have been misinterpreting your comment (so glad to discover now that I had taken it out of content). I was feeling so bad for you as a reader that I might have written something here that could possibly give you and other readers that impression. I'm so glad it wasn't that way after all.
But anyway, on another note, I assure you that the thing with Michael isn’t going to last much longer before it's ultimately blows up in his face. However, I must warn, and brace your, when the explosion comes, unfortunately EVERYONE will be BADLY burned.

I can't believe you give Michael so much power to destroy the boys.
Your story is not only ANTI-Michael is also about hating Brian/Justin.
The house is not important but the posibility of Michael burn down Justin paintings make me mad.
Author's Response: Hi, Mariana:
I’m so glad that U joined me and making all these interesting comments; and I’m so appreciative that I will take time and address each one carefully:
Michael’s power over the boys! Great observation: However, keep in mind that Michael has no more power than what Brian and Justin gives him.
At all times let’s also keep in mind that this story is built upon Justin’s dangerous agreement, and Brian’s lack of trust (which are literary their greatest enemies) – not Michael or Ethan (as it might appear on the surface). Michael and Ethan only have as much power as Brian and Justin give them. They are just emblems in the story to exemplify how dangerous Justin’s agreement really is.
Also, notice there seems to be a pattern where everything that Michael and Ethan tries either backfires or blowup in their faces [that will remain consistent throughout the story – and that is not by accident (it’s leading up to something)]. Attempting to do something doesn’t necessarily guarantees that it will be done. So, therefore you don’t have to worry too much about Michael or Ethan actually destroying our boys (that is not what this story is really about).
Let’s just hope that our boys don’t destroy themselves though because of their own fears and insecurities.
This story is not only Anti-Michael… (Don’t know what you mean by that… are you saying that authors shouldn’t write anti-Michael stories?) If that’s what you are saying, ummm, why not? I usually don’t; but plenty of authors do; and what’s wrong with that? But I’m not even sure if that what you meant by that statement.
But anyway, this is the only story I’ve written here that could be described as anti-Michael. I usually cut him a lot of slack in my stories. So, therefore regardless that this story starts out as anti-Michael, it is very unlikely that this story or any story I write here will end anti-Michael. There is such a thing called redemption (learning lessons from your bad deeds), which is usually the case when every bad deed you do backfires or blows up in your face. I don't do that by accident or just for comedic flair, it’s actually leading to something.
Last of all: Regarding the second part of your statement ‘This story is not only anti-Michael but it’s about hating Brian and Justin.” I don’t know what you mean by that either. Are you saying this story is about Michael and Ethan (and other characters) hating Brian and Justin? Well, I guess it could be some truth in that. But then again what’s your point? Every drama has it antagonist(s) – without them it would be a boring story (story without conflict). However, I don’t know if that is what you meant.
Or are you saying the way in which it is written shows that me (the author) has an overall dislike for Brian and Justin? If that’s what you meant… you have an entirely wrong impression – there’s absolutely no truth in that. If I hated Brian and Justin I wouldn’t write fanfic for their characters. But still I'm not sure if that is what you meant.
But, I really don’t know what you mean and I don’t want to risk offending you by making the wrong assumptions (that would be unfair to you), so unless you want to comment again on it and make yourself clearer, I’ll just leave it as a question mark.
“The house is not important but the posibility of Michael burn down Justin paints make me mad." Love the sense of humor – LOL! Keep it coming.
Again, thank you so much, Mariana, for taking the time to comment. Everything you had to say was so interesting. I’m just so sorry that some of the things you said I was not clear on your meaning.
And, you didn’t say rather or not you are enjoying the story. I really hope you are enjoying it, but I assume if you read 60 chapters of it that it at least keeps your interest. So, if you are staying with the story, please feel free to comment often, and all comments are welcome, even constructive ones such as these were.
Thank you so much and Sincerely, Delores

Lets hope Grandma can kick some sense into Justin. No, you are not going to add more foul mess to this by using Chris Hobbs as go to helper. I sure don't see a happy ending for this story. I'm glad Hairy is still with me, I think it would turn out to be animal abuse if he were living in this story. I'm going to click next and hope for some happy news in the newest chapter. Maybe a flock of pigeons with parasitic diarrhea will fly over the city and cause a horrible outbreak of disease killing off most of the population. Brian and Justin can escape to their home in the country before they get pooped on and survive. As luck will have it Michael and his band of evil scum bags get hit by a huge wave of infected bird droppings and don't make it. No time for even a simple mass pit grave, the sewer rats eat their bodies as they lay in the streets right were they fell. Lori
Author's Response: "... add more foul mess... by using Chris Hobbs." Now, BigPaw, darling, what would a QAF Fanfic novel be without Chris Hobbs in the story line somewhere? LOL!

Yes Harry’s daughter is the one speaking to Brian on the telephone and although I find it weird that a child says they are in love with a person and not I love you, I can see it is all innocent. Ted met Harry and is now going to make a date with Joseph, poor Ted, but so entertaining. I love the conversation with Ted and Brian on the telephone as I have had similar exchanges myself, trying to talk to two people at once. Brian is now going to miss the birthday party but let’s hope Ted goes and then he might at least get laid as Harry, aka Joseph to Ted, is going. That could be fun as Justin and Ted don’t know he is Harry. Kip Thomas is now added to the baddies list along with Vance and Jim. I’m exhausted, so much in one chapter. Thank you.
Cheers
Author's Response: Hi, Flossee. regarding why this particular child migh talk that way. She's a chronically sick child. My sister works with special needs, chronically ill children as well as badly abused. I've observed them on numerous ocassions, and noticed that they tend to go through a lot more emotional as well as physical pain than the average child, and I think for that reason they tend to be more serious, dramatic, emotional as well as poetic in their speech. So, maybe that accounts for why Harold's daughter might say 'I'm in love with you' rather than simply I love you.
I'm glad you enjoyed Ted's bit of inflatuation with Harold. I thought poor Ted rarely got a break in the original series, although I always thought he was so handsome. Emmett and he was such a mix-match, and his relationship with Blake seemed dark and uninspiring most of the time. And, the brief thing he had (post surgery) with Todd was much too shallow. I thought it might be nice to see TED hook up with someone really HOT for a change, who really likes Ted just like he is.
Kip, Jim, Vance, and know Hobbs. You're right that is exhausting.

Well Michael’s plan is about to come undone as Justin isn’t supposed to know Brian and he own Britin so why would he take someone there, he doesn't even have a key. Justin called Ethan on the cufflinks and cell caper which gives him a free pass on the girly talk with grandma. I still have my fingers crossed for Michael going up in flames. Chris Hobbs, okay thinking cap where have I heard that name before? On to the next chapter yay, thank you, two is always a nice treat.
Cheers
Author's Response: Hmmm! Very interesting observation you've made there about Bitin. Let's see what happens there eventually.

Brian and Justin’s To Do List
1. Talk about the cell and deleted calls COMPLETED 2. Connect Michael and Ethan together in a conspiracy 3. Help Ethan get a flesh eating bacteria, hopefully on his dick (Thanks BigPaw) 4. Michael falls into a wood chipper. Falls, pushed, same thing. (Again thanks BigPaw) 5. Todd, yes we haven’t forgot him, has a gas station accident, maybe by Brian’s, accidently on purpose, discarded cigarette (have I mentioned thank you to BigPaw). 6. Hook Ted and Harry up together. Harry is obviously gay and is doing a Chris Hobbs by lashing out. 7. Get through the first month of marriage as one year seems a long way off. 8. Brian to trust Justin 9. Justin becomes a man 10. Get Harry to go to gossips anonymous meetings.
Cheers
Author's Response: Flossee: ROFLMAO! Love your list... LOVE IT! Great List but Too bad the only completed item is the cell phone thing LOL!

Well I guess that was pretty stupid on Harold's part to open his mouth to Michael. That's all he needs is a little more information. I have a bad feeling about this birthday party. I'm also afraid Grandpa is going to die too. I just feel doom and gloom all over this story. Why don't the nasty evil people just drop dead like they should. It wouldn't even take much, I little bit of flesh eating bacteria that doesn't get treated, a slip and fall into a wood chipper, fumble a match while filling up at the gas station, simple little accidents and our world would be so much happier.
I've been meaning to mention this, I really like how you always add the date you post your updates, that makes it so much easier to keep current. A very nice touch. Lori
Author's Response: BigPaw, as always, you such a roar of laffer, LOL! Harold opening his mouth to Michael... why is that, that the villians seem to come across so much LUCK!
Thanks for commenting about the post dates. I had hoped that readers would find that useful. Really your husband is out all night then brings you flowers. Grow a pair Justin and ask him where he has been. They may have an agreement but that doesn’t mean Justin has to be miserable just so he doesn’t upset Brian. That’s my rant. Sorry.
Please don’t let Vivian be the reason Rosalind is in the institution she is in, please let it be an illness as I couldn’t stomach a mother hurting a child. That’s my guess which is probably wrong but I like trying to read between the lines then getting a shock when I learn the truth.
I found this a frustrating chapter but I think it was meant to be, so thank you for the wonderful frustration and entertainment.
Cheers
Author's Response: "That's my rant. Sorry." Oh, Flossee my dear, you never have to apologize to me. Rant on my dear... rant on, lol! It's all so GOOD.
they may have an agreement but Justin doesn't have to be so miserable. What I try to do with my stories is stay kind of true to the originial QAF mood. In the original Justin put up with all Brian's tricking and inability to fully commit to him and to say those three precious words I love you because he felt he had to put up with those things to stay inside a relationship with him. but he really didn't like it. We knew that because it had a lot to do with him leaving Brian and going with Ethan and then in season five he finally left Brian for what seemed like for good; and Brian had to beg him to come back and make him some promises.
In this story Justin is doing something similar with the agreement, he's acting the way he's acting because he believes it has to be that way in order for him to stay inside a relationship with Brian. And, in QAF it took him five years to bone up to the truth and tell Brian he wasn't taking it anymore. In this story so far it's been barely a full two weeks before he started suspecting Brian is having an affair. In fact, he hasn't quite made up his mind for sure if Brian is having an affair. A part of him suspects it and another part of him doesn't feel like he is. he's just so confused mostly because of it appearing to him that Brian is constantly on the phone with this man Harold and saying I love you to him all the time. And although Justin doesn't understand that, he's hoping that that is all there is to it. He's still holding on to what Brian said to him inside the car (when he told him that Justin is the only one he's ever loved and feels he would ever love).
I think he's more confused then anything else but in the event he is wrong, he just don't want to know and that's why he's afraid to bone up and just ask Brian. But he tries, just like Brian tries to say 'l love you' to Justin. They are two men who are struggling immensely with somethings that they both have to just get pass before it becomes to late for both of them.

Now why didn't Brian say any one his love you's to Harold while he was with him in person??? He seemed rather hostile to him in the flesh. I think this birthday party is going to be very festive! I hope Gus doesn't suffer from any unwanted attention from the sparks that I'm sure are going to fly. Lori
Author's Response: "... why didn't Brian say one of his love you's to Harold while he was with him in person?" Very good observation there, and that's a big clue in itself. What does that says imparticularly about those telephone conversations?
And, you're right... he usually is hostile to Harold in person... so what does that tell you about the telephone conversations? It's all about reading between the lines... and it has nothing to do with 'code' or 'spies' or any of that cool stuff. But a lot to do with how those conversations BEGIN vs. how they END?
Now, this specific meeting wtih Harold, notice that the mood stayed consistent between Brian and Harold. But during the other times did the mood appeared to be inconsistent? If yes, why might it appear to be that way? There are clues.

Hmmmm Harry a cab driver that knew Brian when they were children. Oh that makes a lot of sense...nope not a bit. I still think you should reconsider Hairy. He has finished all his advanced training and I'd hate to part with him but I know as a fictional dog he's begging for a good story to belong to. Oh, I'm also not happy that Brian had to go drinking with that creature from the pond who claims to be his father. I really worry about the mental health of Brian, he's making such poor choices. He is going out of his way to make Justin doubt his feeling toward him. I think a good psych evaluation might be just the thing to help this marriage. Maybe Daphne could fly in and they could get a 2 for 1 special. Lori
Author's Response: "... knew Brian when they were children." "Oh that makes a lot of sense... nope not a bit." You're so rght... Harry's a helluva more than that, lol!~
"He is going out of his way to make Justin doubt his [feelings] for him." Hmmmm, Justin probably could save himself and everyone else concerned if he's would just bone up and just simply ask Brian right out: Who the FUCK is Harry?????
Brian has no idea that Harry is even on his husband's mind. How could he know that? Justin hasn't mentioned Harry to him and Brian has no idea that his husband has been eavesdropping on those conversations and is possibly getting the wrong impression.

Now that is just not right that Brian declares his love for Justin and he's not even there!!! I think Brian needs a new legal team if they could make it legal to have a board meeting without the CEO and other voting members and get rid of the CEO...something just isn't right with this. But since you have said Brian is like Teflon I know he will make everything OK. Lori
Author's Response: '... Brian declares his love for Justin and he's not even there.." Grandma Taylor has a lot to say about when Justin askes her about it.
And, you might be right about the legality of excluding Board members. However, usually a CEO is not a member of the Board; and Boards make their own bylaws that vary per company (and can be full of loop holes). Jim and Gardner definitely acted underhandedly but they may have found a loophole or two that made it possible for them to do what they did.

Author's Response: "hoping that sounded all knowledgable and sophisticated" Hey! If I can fake it SO WELLL... you can too, LOL!
Thank you so much, TAG, you are amazing.
Also, thank you for the 'prolific' compliment but I might have been the queen of neglect lately, so I have to take a break from the Net for a while and take care of some pressing matters. So, I probably won't post again until the weekend, Sat or Sun. But I got a few chapters written already that needs serious editing. So, when I post again it will be a few chapters rather than just one.
See you later. Sincerely.

Is Brian going to lose all his money? Justin will still love him, so the trust is back, yay. How will that affect them having joint accounts. He can’t lose his personal wealth surely it must be separate to his business wealth. I have a bad feeling and I may stay up late tonight to see if you post the next chapter. Hurry back please, don’t leave us hanging.
Cheers
Author's Response: Hi, Flossee dear. Please don't stay up all night on the account of me. I'm retiring from writing anymore tonight. But a few chapters are already in the works but needs editiing. So, I might post them tomorrow. It's after 10 p.m. where I am. I have to clean my room, wash clothes as well as my sister wants me to watch a movie on Hulu.com called Write and Wrong with Christie Alley.... I'm going to try to get all that done tonight.
Later, Sincerely, Delores

Oh I can tell this is going to be interesting. I think this will be just what Brian needs to get rid of Jim and Gardner. He's made it very clear he has no use for them. What sort of fools are they that they think they can mess with Brian. Whomp, they can be gone too. I don't think Brian needs them more than he needs dog shit on the bottom of his beautiful Prada boots.
I hope your mom is feeling better. It seems to be worse to be sick in the summer, you can't even enjoy laying in bed with a warm blankie when it's a million degrees outside. Maybe a popsickle would help. Lori
Author's Response: Amen! About Jim and Gardner but they have helluva ammunition against Brian.... Brian needs a Miracle to save him for what those two got up their sleeves. Let's hope for one, LOL! What did Melanie say Brian's like what was that material velcro or something... everything bounce right off of him and nothing sticks to him!
And, thanks for asking about Moms... she's good LOL!

He will find out in his own devious way he is Brian Kinney ater all. I love Justin worrying about Brian and forgetting bout himself. Such a caring guy. I think all will be righted soon if Brian has his way. Good chapter:)

Ethan, constipated and a pain in the ass to others. How fitting. What a horrible, nasty, evil minded jerk. He really is the matching cork the the bottle of shit that is Michael. I think Justin must have been insane to let him into his home and leave him alone to carry out his plan of doom. The explosion this caused is going to be hard to repair. I sure love how you come up with such demented twists. Lori
Author's Response: Hard to repair... Hmmm! It seems things that happened to Brian and Justin seem to have a double-edged sword. The same things that kicks them in the gut seems to come at them at another angle and lift them up. Hmmm, I wonder what I mean by that LOL.. his chapter 52.

Poor Ted, you'd think it would be a little easier for him to find someone. Maybe he needs more help from Brian. I know I should feel some compassion for the emotions Brian is going thru over Michael but I just can't...I am wondering if Brian might have a brain eating parasite that is making him have these irrational thoughts regarding the blob of infected pus that pretends to be human. Do you think Brian got bit by something while on the honeymoon? That island was dangerous. I think a trip to the doctor is needed. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori, wonderful and funny comment... you know how I love it.
Brian and Michael: As much as it grieved Brian to fire Michael, as a business professional Brian is tough as steel when it comes to doiing the right thing. How wonderful Brian has Debbie to care about him as person more than just a wallet. Even better that she thinks more of Brian than the worthless waste of skin that is her son. I'm sure she has spent many long sad days and nights regretting the event that cause Michael to come into this world. What a mistake that was. So now I guess poor Ted will be added to Mikey's hit list. I know Michael will take no blame for his actions in getting himself fired, it was all the cause of Ted. I am a little puzzled by why a man so busy with his job as Brian hasn't found a reason to actually open his briefcase yet and find his cell phone. It's not like it's hidden in the Bermuda Triangle, he could find it pretty easy. I think Brian better go home and get some TLC from Justin, that might make the sniffles go away. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori.
About the briefcase, Brian's been in and out of the briefcase because he took work home that night. But he has one of those attache' cases that has lots of different compartments (small and large) and Michael hid it in one of those little compartments Brian either rarely or never uses. Personally, I have an attache case like that myself as well as other pocketbook and book bags with so many compartments and I some I never uses.
Also, Brian's isn't an absentminded person, so he so sure he didn't put it inside his brief case so he still thinks it around his office somewhere. However, if he doesn't see it sometime soon, no doubt he's going to call his provider and tell them to turn it off and send him a new phone.

I just don't understand why Brian is so blind to the evil ways of Michael. Maybe a intervention is needed. Ted could gather up all the people who can speak to the pure evil that rolls off Michael and force Brian to come to terms with it and then animal control will arrive and put him to sleep...Michael, I think there is hope for Brian once he faces the facts. I bet animal control has a contract with a rendering company and the body will be sent off to the factory and made into glue or a candle... well given what they have to work with I'm betting Mikey will end up as some poor quality glue that has no real holding qualities. He would not make for a pleasant candle.
I was pretty sure the VP was Zen Ben, and I can bet he will not be falling in love Mikey if he happen to stay among the living in this story.
I hope your mom feels better soon. She is so lucky to have you to take care of her. I just make Chicken Dumpling soup, I wish I could send her some I know it has healing powers. Lori
Author's Response: Thanks for asking about mom, Lori. And, yes, I saw here yesterday and today and she was in really good spirits as well as having one of the those days when she at her strongest. and, my sister took her out to eat yesterday and then I cooked in her kitchen for her today (steam veggies and I chopped up some chicken breast and added it to the steam veggies) but I kind of think she would have preferred our chicken dumpling soup though. She loves that dish but as for me you can lose my friendship over it (I'm not a fan at all. I don't care for that doughy consistency... I say cook the water and flour... fry it, lol!~)
Oh, and you caught on ahead of time that the VP was Ben. I was dumpinig clues here and there.

Who is Harry? Brian frequently sneaks out to meet him or talks to him on the phone. He is very affectionate with him but also talks to him about Justin too.
I love the story but this is very confusing.
Author's Response:
Hi, I’m so glad you took the time to express how much you love the story as well as noted your concerns with the Harry thing. And, please in advance, forgive my longwinded essay response. but I'm trying to address every possible question here any reader would have with Brian and Harry's relationship. But you probably can just read the very first three or four paragraphs and get an overall understanding of my meaning.
I know the thing with Harry is probably a bit nerve wrecking (for some readers), but he is introduced into the story in a certain way for a certain reason. The reason is that in many ways the plot of this story is somewhat built around the mystery regarding Harry. Therefore, his character has to be gradually weaved into the story with a lot of ambiguity associated with him. There is a sound reason for that; and if I didn’t do it that way, this story just might not work. Readers might not see that right now but by story end if I’ve done it effectively they will.
However, I wish for the reader to get as much enjoyment as possible out of the story as it develops. The relationship between Brian and Harold is not meant to be confusing but mysterious. So be patience and the rush the plot and just enjoy as it develops because it will eventually make a whole lot of sense when it finally reveal who Harry is.
It might help the reader to take the terms mysterious and ambiguity literally. A lot regard Harry is not what it seems, readers have to read between the lines and not take everything at face value when it come to Brian and Harry’s interactions with each other (so much is not as it seems) but there is plenty of clues throughout every scenes involving the two men that helps the reader gradually get there (if she reads carefully between the lines).
However, that is not done to confuse the readers, but for the readers be able to see the story through the main characters’ eyes to better understand why the characters act the way in which they do.
For instance, take the incident with Cary and how innocent that was. But Justin allowed his imagination to run with it, and in term that gave Michael the power to manipulate the situation the way he did.
In many circumstances in this story the readers will see that each characters’ own insecurities and personality flaws causes himself to be his own worst enemy. Unfortunately, it gives his external enemies the power and ammunition to manipulate him in ways they might not have otherwise been able to.
Another way of expressing it is that the characters in this story lives are not simple but complex and unfortunately most of those complexities they bring on themselves.
Take for instance, the agreement that Justin made Brian adhere to, as well as Brian’s major trust issues – all this contribute immensely to all the unnecessary problems and grief that the couple constantly endures.
It was because of that agreement and those trust issues that Justin didn’t initially confronted his husband head-on about the matter regarding Cary. Now, for those same reasons Justin isn’t confronting Brian about Harold. However, it would make life a lot easier for this couple if he just would.
And, that’s the basis of this story: How crazy does things get because somebody’s husband (simply just won’t ask the ultimate important question): Who’s Harry! In fact, I kind of regret I didn’t name it that, lol!
Now addressing the second half of your comment: Brian being sneaky in his dealings with Harold… IS he really?
First consider this: Brian had no idea that Justin saw him with Cary, and therefore might have never mentioned it to him in casual conversation (why open up an unnecessary can of worms). But just imagine how much worst the outcome of that incident might have been had Brian not been insistent and forced Justin to confront him with whatever it that was bothering him. As a result of Brian forcing it to the surface, it ended with good sex instead of an ongoing down hill battle. See what a big difference just a little communication can make.
Now a similar thing is happening with the Harold situation. Justin just needs to come out and ask Brian about him. But why isn’t he? Because that dangerous (so called simple) agreement he proposed is crippling his mind and his marriage in ways he can’t even imagine.
However, as Readers we would get the most out of this story if we try avoiding being guilty of what the characters are guilty of. Readers can best accomplish that by being more objective than the characters and reading more carefully between the lines. Again, a lot of what goes on between Brian and Harold is not what it seems (even the dialogue). However, a keen reader doesn’t have to wait until the mystery is completely unfolded to figure it out. There will be so many hints and clues, and even a pattern develops along the way.
For instance, you said Brian is sneaking around meeting Harold. But is he really… or does it only looks that way if you view it only through Justin’s eyes, or through readers’ first impressions?
For instance the night Brian’s at computer. Did Brian get Justin high and attempt to fuck him into a coma so he could sneak out and meet Harold? No. He did that to catch up on some office work. He wasn’t even sure that Harold would call that night? Brian did mention to Harold that his husband was out like a light. But was that of any real significance to Harold or could it have just simply been casual conversation in the way of Brian just telling Harold that it was no inconvenience to him or his husband that he come over and meet him. The same could’ve be the case when Brian was with Harold and told him that he would stick around for a little while longer on the account his husband is home sleeping soundly.
Also, if readers looked at it more objectively that might conclude that Brian’s not even aware that Harold is constantly on his husband’s mind and that he feels threatened by him. And, therefore, Brian isn’t sneaking around because he’s not even aware that there is an issue. Think about it, how can Brian possibly know what his husband Justin is struggling with, if Justin hasn’t expressed that to him.
Here are a few more things to consider and keep in mind when figuring out Brian and Harold’s relationship:
Telephone conversations between Brian and Harold are one-sided. Readers hear what Brian’s saying but they don’t hear [or even see] what’s going-on on the other end of the line. (There are some clues there) as well as readers can pick up on a pattern, which reveals a lot. Do every phone call begins and ends the same…. Most of them ends with Brian saying things like Hi there, sweetheart… I love you… I’m in love with you… Bye. But they all don’t end that way… why not? Why is it that some calls end that way but some don’t? [There are clues there… as well as a pattern. Brian saying that might be a FAR cry from what you think… but there are clues!]
Other hints and clues: Where do Brian and Harold meet and what do they particularly do when they meet?
Sometimes it will be spelled out to us, and at other times it won’t. It was quite obvious that Brian was inside Harold’s home when he cut his hair. However, are they always inside Harold’s home? Where are they when it’s restricted or prohibited cell phone usage, pay phones and clocks on the wall? Were they in Harold’s home when: Harold woke Brian and told him to get out of that bed… what bed… whose bed… where is this bed… and then Brian asks Harold what time is it… Harold doesn’t know but then he spots a clock on the wall and points to it…huh… what is that all about? (There are plenty of clues there).
And, Brian’s not bipolar, so why the sudden 180’s especially when he leaves Harold briefly (like when he goes to the toilet) and then when he returns to him… does something changes each time… and if so… what?
Last of all: Is Brian being secretive?
Again, readers have to read between the lines for an answer to that question and consider the following:
Is Brian discrete or careful of what he says when he takes Harold’s calls? No.
Does he suddenly jerk or rush off the phone when someone walks in on him when he’s on the phone with Harry? No.
Does he rush to delete Harry’s messages and texts from his cell? No.
Has anyone REALLY outright asked Brian about Harry and he refused to answer? Kind of… but not really OUTRIGHT.
It was that incident in his office when Ted asked him about Harold and Brian told him to mind his business… but isn’t that Brian’s overall persona at work there, or was he being evasive? If Brian wanted to be secretive, would he even have taken the call while Ted was there?
The only time Justin really asked Brian outright about Harold was that time they were spread out across the love blanket in the front of the fireplace at Britin, and Brian simply said Harold was someone that shouldn’t be calling him while on his honeymoon. Was Brian necessarily being elusive then (at that particular point in the story)?
And, on the last night of Justin and Brian’s honeymoon when Justin asked Brian where he been all day was Brian being nonchalant or evasive in his answer? Keep in mind that Brian was already high off his mix. That could have very well influenced how he answered Justin. This story really requires some reasonable deductions; readers can’t necessarily take everything at face value.
Last of all, think about Brian's overall personality. Hint: Referencing and drawing from the original QAF series when is it that Brian won't talk about what he does? For instance when he paid for the ads to bring Stockwell down was he quick to tell anyone? When he got Stockwell off Ted's back did he tell anyone? When he glued the Judge Killer Ray Roy (or whatever the eff his name was) to the toilet seat, did he ever tell anyone?

I feel like I get a double thrill from your writing, I get an updated chapter and then the review from BigPaw to read and they are hilarious. Poor Justin, Michael and Ethan out to destroy his marriage and house. Cary and Harry seeming to be something they aren’t. Brian sneaking off in the middle of the night and although it is innocent Justin doesn’t have a clue what he is doing. When will this man get a break? More please.
Cheers
Author's Response: But is Brian's really sneaking out? I mean he put Justin to sleep so he could catch up on some office work... not necessarily to meet Harry. And, Justin might be guilty of dealing with Harry in the same manner as he dealt with Cary. the Cary situation is only resolved because Brian forced the issue to the surface, and see how easily that was resolved. Maybe the same could be done with the Harold situation if Justin would just confront Brian.
Recall, Brian didn't even know that Justin had saw him with Cary, so he wasn't likely to bring his meeting with Cary up in casual conversation. It only came out when Brian forced Justin to tell him what was brothering him; and Brian figured Justin was accusing him of being unfaithful because he smelt another man's cologne on him and he was really explaining to Justin how the other man's scent perfumed scent go on him. he still didn't know that Justin observed Cary and him in Kinnetic's lobby.
Same with Harold (maybe), when did Justin ever outright asked Brian about Harry? He asked him once at Britin but that was early on before Brian even had met with Harold. Also, keep in mind the night that Justin asked Brian about where he had been all day of the last day of their honeymoon, he was high on his mix... so was he being nonchalant or evasive that night?
So, do Brian even know that Justin is struggling with the Harry thing... how would he know? Justin hasn't expressed it to him.

ARRRRGGH! That was frustrating! That went absolutely nowhere! However, rather realistic as well. I think I have been in a few of thosituations where a phone obsessed person takes calls right in front of you, interuppting you. Very annoying esp. when the calls are of a personal nature.
Author's Response: I so know what you mean, LOL! Bryton4ever71.

It's funny all this haircut talk, I really need a haircut right now, I feel like an Old English Sheepdog. Which for me means my hair has grown out to 3 inches long. it's driving me nuts...I like my hair short and spiky wash and wear with no need to fuss with it. My hair started to turn gray when I was 18 and was totally silver by the time I was 23. I started getting the senior citizen discount around then too. I colored it Royal Blue a few time but that's about it.
I am sorry for my mistake about Ted, I was mixing things up with another story. Why in the world would Brian invite Michael into his office and treat him like his best pal, and then leave him alone with time to snoop??? I am hoping there will be a tiny accident at the barber shop and Micheal will slip and fall ending up in a pile of sharp scissors and cut his stupid head off, bleed out right there on the floor and die. I don't want Justin to actually cause the justified death, a freaky accident is fine. Lori
Author's Response: You turned gray at 18, that's amazing. I'm goiing crazy because I just turned 50 and just seeing my first few strains and I'm afraid to color my hair for free it would dry it out and make me balded. I'm just the opposite of you, I love mine long, although it's never grows any longer than medium length.
And, you are so right about Brian's mistake of trusting Michael again. However, unintentionally Ted's forgiveness speech got Brian off his guard. He just decided to bury the hatchet with Michael just too hastily.
And, here's so more barbershop fun for you, LOL! Chapter #44.
Continue to enjoy, Lori.

I liked the visual I got of Brian on the telephone talking to Leo gushing about is husband while Michael got more and more agitated. Since Brian likes the VP enough to make him best man at his wedding I hope he listens to him about Michael. Thank you for another update so quickly Delores. Cheers

Author's Response: "Bitter, I think that word has given Brian something to think about." Amazing that you should make that comment.
For Brian that can be a double-aged sword. That bitterness may serve him just right in some aspects. I mean it might not serve him one bit to be bitter against Justin... but it might be highy dangerous if he allows himself to mellow too much when it comes to a particular someone though. LOL!
Thank you so much, Flossee. for commenting regularly... it's certianly FUN to have you aboard this one.

How far away is Harry, is love a code word in spy talk, is there an underhand plot afoot? I just can't believe Brian saying the L word to your version of Harry all the time. And to let Ted hear him. I also don't like the fact that Ted was given the seals to use by himself. I wasn't surprised to learn that the deed to Britin is safe and sound in Brian's safe, kissed and put away right where it belongs. What a sneaky little devil that Brian can be. Lori
Author's Response: Here's a little bit more outlook on Harry for you! (chapter 43). Enjoy... I hope, But I can't gaurantee you that it lessens the mystery any regarding Harry's identy, LOL! His is just one you have to carefully read between the lines. There's actually a pattern there if anyone read closely enough to pick up on.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about Daphne and her drama over the baby. I have a feeling there will still be more problems before that kid hits the dirt. I loved Justin's questions to her about why she didn't get spayed if she really didn't want to have kids. I think that was a perfect point to bring up. Daphne is smart enough to understand the basics of how babies are produced, ways to disable slot B if you don't inactivate tab A... Lori

Gag, what a way to start the day, Michael at your door. I hope Brian get a report on the crap Michael's been doing at work, or should I say not doing at work. I don't think his evaluation is going to earn him a raise! I am still pondering the situation with Ted, I don't trust his underhanded dealing with Micheal, no good will come of that. When you sleep with rats you get fleas...if you know what I mean. Lori
Author's Response: Ted? I think you mean Ethan, LoL!
Michael's going to be a lot more trouble at work than Brian would ever guess.

Even though Brian doesn’t verbally admit he loves Justin to his face I like how Justin just says it quite freely to him. I like this chapter, it’s one of the few times I have come across a Brian that can see through Michael and what he is trying to do. I am not looking forward to the chaos Michael may cause but hopeful Brian will continue to be one step ahead of him. More please if RL allows. Will you be continuing ‘Two Men on a Couch’ and ‘Lover’s Charade’? Cheers
Author's Response: Oh, Hi there! Thank you so much for joiining me on on this one!
And, Brian has better keep a keen eye on Michael but he might soon wish he had heed Justin's warning when he told him that hiring him might not have been such a good idea.
also, thank you so much for inquiring about the other two stories 'Two Men..." and "Lover's Charade". They having been abandoned however, a glitch on a back a drive where I used to keep my stories failed me and it all lost. So, I have to reproduce everything by scratch. I had had a lot of chapters written on those stories and it was just a matter of editing but now I have to reproduce the chapters from scratch. I think they should both be hypnotized and forced to speak honestly about their feelings for each other. That might clear the air and allow them to work on a real relationship. They are wasting so much time playing games and imagining too much when I'm sure the truth is easier to deal with. Oh and I'm sure if they had a dog life would be wonderful. Lori

Author's Response: "Last past the honeymoon?" As usual you can put me in stitches every time, lol! Problem is that Justin is so determine that it do make it to the end of the year that he might be too anxious to think straight. Just read the reviews ad I also saw those clues. I was curious. The one most obvious place cell phones aren t allowed is a hospital so I thought Harry might be a doctor/nurse....pharmacict?? So then I thoughtgoing in and out of the bathroom...hmmmmm...did he take a drug? But if so, why'd he go get other stuff later? So...maybe something else in there? I can't see a 2 min trick happening. So maybe not a hospital. Where else are cells not allowed?

Hmmmm I know Hairy is very intelligent but using scissors is very hard to do with paws. This chapter is making my idea a little hard to work into your story...oh well I guess we'll have to go with your idea. It sounds like your version of "Harold is a rat bastard" How dare someone else kiss Brian? This is not right. I think the tax rate is going to be sky high when this come out. I'll take those trust issue Brian claims to have problems with and shove them so deep up his .....he won't need to think about them ever again. Lori
Author's Response: Oh, BigPaw, I just love the way you're reacting to this chapter. You're a reader after my own heart, lol! Because I need the readers to get the same perception of things that Justin does. However, if you carefully read between the lines, then what might you think?
'I dare someone else kiss Brian?' Hummm, sure about that LOL!
For instance: Most readers might think I put the men in a place that prohibits cell phone usage JUST to make up an excuse for Brian not to call Justin... however, it might be a deeper underlying reason why the men were in a place where people can't use cell phones. And, if so, what type of places don't allow cell phones... and why in the heck would Brian and Harold be in one of those places, hmmm?
Also, Brian and Harold seemed to be having an unpleasant moment there, but then Brian's goes into a restroom comes back out in a few seconds (two minutes tops) and does an instant 180 and all of a suddenly he demands a hug and a kiss. Huh? What's up with that? Why the sudden mood change? Couldn't be drugs because he just back from visiting a foreign country, and he's no suicidal idiot, so of course he knew better than to carry some of his mix on his plane with him; and he's certainly not bi-polar. So, why, why, why the sudden mood change? Something to think lol!

I can explain it all, Hairy ate some road kill he found while out on a play date with a rowdy poodle from down the street. They found a well rotted possum and ate most of it. PIO (that's what Hairy's Breed goes by) are known for having a sensitive tummy. Poor Hairy has been barfing up bad possum all day. That is why Brian is promising to make him feel better. Brian is a very caring pet owner. I am sure he will not allow anymore play dates with Poodles! I thought the training was almost done, but Hairy is having a little trouble with Astrophysics, he sailed thru Biochemistry. I hope to send him to Britan soon. It sounds like Justin needs a little support. I am afraid his lack of faith in Brian is going to cause problems. He needs to enjoy the time he has now, he will ruin this year if he keeps going the way he is. Lori
Author's Response: Hey, Bigpaw... I so wish now that Harold was a dog, LOL! However, even if he's a man he can still possibly be a dog... if you know what I mean LOL! Sorry, for the male bashing to any of my male readers lol!
Here's another chapter for you and the plot thickens but trying to read between the lines with Hairy and you just might not get all the same impressions, Justin might... or you just might lol!

Well now that Gary has changed into Harry my idea has changed a little. I'm pretty sure Harry(Hairy) is a huge hairless dog he has decided to add to the family to keep Justin company while he's at work. Brian doesn't want to leave Justin alone and he knows that Justin loves pets. Brian picked a rare breed, the Peruvian Inca Orchid, hypoallergenic and hairless the perfect dog for both of them. Brian named the dog Hairy. I can't wait for Hairy to arrive at Britin. His training is almost done. I know this probably gives away a huge chunk of your plot but you know how I love dogs and I just couldn't keep it a secret any longer. Lori
Author's Response: Good one, BigPaw, I wish I would have thought of it. Ruff! wouldb;t that turn out to be a hair-raising joke on Justin LOL! However, Justin could save himself a lot of headache and frustrations if he would just come right out and ask Brian: Who's hairy... I mean Harry.

Ok, what happened to my review? I posted a wonderful review where I am sure I gave the only rational explanation for who Gary can be. Now I don't know if you deleted it to save the mystery of your story or is Gary deleted it. I guess I better not re post my thoughts again, I'll just keep them to myself and let the rest of the readers figure it out for themselves. I am so glad to see you back working on this story. I know you mentioned some computer problems. I hope those are taken care of and now we can find out more ways to save a marriage or a get a job at H & R Block. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, BigPaw. Did you really post a review that's not here? Please re-post. I don't know what happened to it. I never seen it but I'm dying to see what you said. You know how much I look forward to your comments, and I wouldn't dare do something like that to you. It might have been just a malfunction.
It's a heat wave going on around most of North America and Internet service have been gravely affected. In fact, I'm having problems myself and my ISP told it's because of the massive heat wave. Many people in my area don't have any electricity at all. Also, Con-Edision a major utility company in my area and they are on strike ... they picked the PERFECT time to retaliate. Also, there's been dangerous thunder storms in my area (12 people are dead due to it).
Please repost the comment. I'm DYING to know who you think Gary is. I doubt if anyone guessed who he is; and raaders would have to read really close between the lines to get a hint - not only about who he is but also about the things Brian says during many futue conversations he will have with him.
I haven't been able to recover the stuff on the backup drive yet but I have one more trick up my sleeve that might work but I would have to get access the computers at my college tomorrow to test that last attempt - wish me luck.

Ok, I guess the horses didn't make a good honeymoon item either. Did you do that just to prove me wrong??? You know I do like to feel like I can control all your thoughts and words...just kidding :) for some reason I just get so wrapped up in your stories I feel like I have to vent all my goofy thoughts. Sort of like when you watch a horror story and you see the dumb half naked cheerleader limping off into the forest and you know she's going to get wacked you just can't help screaming, NO, don't got into to woods. The crazed man with the ax is right behind the oak tree and he's going to kill you. Stay with the nerdy guy with glasses, he'll save your dumb life, at least a little longer, a few more lines to add to your resume... Now, back to your story....Great chapter, good to see Justin trying to talk it out with Brian. The plot is getting a little more complex now that we have this info from the Horse guy. I still want Michael killed, how about an empty elevator shaft. I know he'd be dumb enough to not notice and step right in, oops, splat, problem solved. Michael is just pure nasty. I don't care what small bit of kindness he might have offered Brian when he was younger, that can not be worth putting up with the vile behavior he's doing now. I know you need him for your story, I get the whole plot thing. I'm just saying in the real world, he needs to be gone!! Well you know, the real fake story world. Maybe my story dog will come and chase him around. I won't let my story dog bite him because I don't want story dog to get fictional rabies or literary distemper. Yikes, it's late and I think I need to go to bed. Lori
Author's Response: BigPaw: I'm curious as to why you haven't written any stories here? You are so witty, I mean statements like this: "I guess the horses didn't make a good honeymoon item either. Brianna: I definitely wasn't commenting negatively on your writing - I'm enjoying the story a lot. I was just making a reference to the play 'A Midsummers Night Dream' by Shakespear. The quote (which I changed a little by adding the profanity) is also one of Shakespear's - your story mentioned that Justin lied to Brian first and now it's coming back to cause him pain - that's all I meant. Keep up the good work! TAG (PS. TAG are my initials - doesn't mean anything ;). )
Author's Response: Hi, Tagsit:
Please forgive me.
The comment about the Midsummer Dream was totally fine. I was just ventinig over a phone call from my sister-in-law and I made the terrible mistake of looking at my comments and therefore took it out of context. But I learned a big lesson from that, that is never look at my comments when I'm feeling like a Bitchhhh. Right after I made that stupid response to you, I looked back at your comment and said to myself WHAT WAS I THINKING!
Your comment was actually flattering. Where else can a amatuerish writer like myself be compared to the genius of Shakespear, LOL! Please overlook that statement... how dumb and arrogant of me to think I can roll in the same circles as The Shake Man.
Thanks you so much.
And, I hope you're enjoying my story.
I read some parts of your story The Loft and I liked it a lot but as you can see I have a lot of unfiinished stories here, so I'm trying to clean up my account and finish alll these stories so I don't do much reading. However, I had to at least take a brief look at your story because so many other readers were commenting on it and LOVING it so much. And eventhough I only read a very little of it I REALLY DO see what all the excitement was about, and when I clean up my account, I will revisit The Loft and read it in its entirety, but for now I have to finish up all these unfinished stories (driving me mad, lol) YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK TOO, YOU ARE A EXCELLENT WRITER. It's almost hard to believe that The Loft was your first time out (wonderfully impressive job there).

Well Brian sure like to flash his wealth around. I don't think he really needs to try and impress Justin that much. He could show Justin how much he loves him without spending money. If Justin acts like the money is impressing him that won't make Brian happy. It's just a twisted mess anyway you look at it. I think they need to just focus on the feelings and not all the splashy stuff. Lori...but it sure would be nice to have some of that nice green paper.
Author's Response: I think Brian is just fulflilling Justin's dream house fantasy. It's not the wealth that counts but the sentitmental value of everything, a lot of it is a lot of things from their previous marriage and representative of the time when things were perfect between Justin and Brian. They both are trying to recapture that wonderful time in their lives. And, also keep in mind that they both are so afraid of being hurt, that they aren't necessarily being honest with each other or themselves. And, they are trying to get as much out of that one year as they could possibly get just in case that is all there is to it. It's like they're have the relationship they always wanted but don't have to take full responsibility for it. Which I don't think either man have given much thought to HOW DANGEROUS THAT IS!
Thanks, Lori, that a very interesting observation and analysis you have... however, I think Justin and Brian's deal here is rather complicated because the men sort of complicate it themselves wtth their many insecurites and deep passion for each other.

Author's Response: "...dream house and stable of horse" huh... gotcha! Perfect honeymoon spot for those two!

It better be the Super 8 next to the Liberty Diner or you're just asking for trouble. Knowing you it's probably some Pot of Boiling water hung over a cannibal's fire, of course it's a tribe that only dines on blondes with plumb rumps. Safe as a bird in a nest...in a cage with a hungry cat. Lori
Author's Response: Hi, Lori... you are about to be served with another bill from my doctor, LOL!
this next honeymoon spot is the next best thing to be boiled alive and eaten by cannibals, lol!
thank you so much Lori, your comments are always so refreshing and such a delight LOL!
And speaking of hungry cats... I have another story that's completely finished and that quote is so appropriate for that story lol! Maybe I'll clean it up and post it in its entirely next week end, lol!

This is very good
Author's Response: Thanks you so much for taking the time to comment. Often the direct comments like that are the most flattering.

So...is this true? Is Jamaica really such a "straight" nation like that? Well, whatever the case, I'm likin this chapter a lot! Guess it's the boy in me needing the adventure and excitement ;)
Author's Response: OH, yeah! According to my research, it's pretty bad! I've read that you can be imprisoned for up to ten years and there's no protection againt homophobes or punishment for those types of hate crimes. Some articles I read say that it's one of the worst place on earth to be a gay man.
I Don't mean to turn your stomach, and I don't know how true this is particular claim is that I'm about to share with you, but my brother (who is gay) said a friend of his told him that he was at a Gay Pride parade in Jamaica and several straight men attacked the crowd with machetes and chopped some participants in half. Now that a really horrible story.

Oh those nephews are so handy to have around aren't they. Well I hope this has taught our boys a lesson on how to pick destinations for safe vacations. What a honeymoon to remember. Lori
Author's Response: Well, it was Emmett who made the final plans.... Go figure! If Emmett had a hand in it, what can we expect LOL! If I was Brian and Justin I'd ask for a substantial amount of my money back!

Oh my, I'm guessing an exotic trip to a local Holiday Inn sounds pretty darn nice right about now. Forget all about ilsand get a ways unless you're a vampire with "skills" The only good things to come out of this is Brian is showing some real care about the welfare of his husband tax deal or not. I mean, how romantic is a cuddle in a grave. Lori
Author's Response: The honeymoon ain't over yet you're be surprise where they're going to end up, lol!

Yikes, I knew this story needed a twisty part. I hope Bastian is able to save our two boys. It would be very sad if it all ended on the honeymoon! Foreign travel is so over rated. Next honeymoon I think they should stay home and relax in a safe place. Lori
Author's Response: "Next honeymoon I think they should stay home and relax in a safe place"... GIRL, YOU GOT ME IN STITICHES AGAIN!!!! Next doctor bill I get YOU'RE PAY IT lol!

Oh no, I hope they make it back to their Island safe and sound. I don't think it's worth the risk just to see some tourist sights. Lori
Author's Response: Brian's might be too stubborn for his own good; and Justin just might be to mesmerized and wrapped up in his own fantasies for his own good... lethal combination in itself!
