Loved this series. Just goes to show how much easier things could have been without the ridiculous fluctuations in Brian's and Justin's personalities: strong - no weak; proud - no ashamed; smart - no gullible, especially regarding Michael and Lindsay. I loved the TV series but sometimes it drove me crazy enough to shout at the TV.  How easily outside influences created havoc in their lives when a bit of common sense would have spared them all a lot of angst.  Loved your take on how it could have been :-)

Wouldn't it have been nice if the show had gone this way?  They could have spread around that Craig threw his son out.

Mikey never was a friend unless it was in his favor.  Who would have thought you could get arrested because your name was mispelled.

The only thing that would have made this story is if Brian had outed Chris.  On the whole I loved this.

I always thought the birthday they threw for Brian in canon was neither fun nor festive in any streach of the imagination.

Hobbs needed to be stopped, and this way Brian was free of the guilt he carried in canon.

Author's Response: Yeah, but I actually wrote this one first. I hadn't thought that it should be a part of a series when I wrote 'Brian's boyfriend' that only came about later. That's why there are qhuite a lot of discreprencies. I have concidered rewriting 'Brian's boyfriend' at some point.

Just FYI, students at American universities are pushing it if they take six courses; 4-5 per semester are average. In general, freshmen take general requirements and then declare a major after freshman year. At CMU, the BFA requirements may be found at the below link, but CMU doesn't appear to have an advertising degree/department per se (many liberal arts schools wouldn't).

I really enjoy your stories, usually I don't care for Brian so totally out of character but you make up for it with good plots and happy endings.

Just one small nit pick, I notice that you use ch a lot when you should be using sh, as in shock, i.e "Jennifer was shocked that her son was seeing an older man, you spell it chock, and that means to have your airway blocked. 

Hope to see more of your stories in the future.
