It's the mating instint.  And I'm amazed that Brian was able to let down his guard to actually do it.  Bravo!

Author's Response:

Mating Instinct - love it; that's perfect!  I saw this article in the Sunday newspaper several months ago, and just thought of Brian. Thank you for reading and for the comments.  I'm so glad you enjoyed it.  *Hugs*  ~Kim

Not sure how I missed this one, actually it seems like there are some more things I have missed in your library. I'll have to take a look at the dates and figure out what was going on in my life at that time. I am currently dealing with a flock of mocking birds, they are always good for a mystery. I sure love how you come up with such amusing plots, of course anything with animals is sure to capture my interest. Next week there will be a huge party here, Tadhg is turning 3. Chewy treats for everyone.

Author's Response:

Hi, Lori! Aww...I want to come, too!:)  I miss having a dog.  But I live with my elderly parents, and while they are dog lovers, I don't think they want me to have a dog right now.  So for now, I will have to be 'childless.'  The dog I was dogsitting for that belonged to the neighbors died about two weeks ago (he was 16), and I was heartbroken.  Sigh...Anyway, I am glad that you liked this one. I saw an article in the paper and somehow I just thought about the boys.

Thank you for reading and for taking the time to comment, Lori. I appreciate that so much.:)  *Hugs*  ~Kim

I love a "romantic" Brian, especially when he's not trying.  It's amazing where we get our inspiratins for stories.  Another one for the kindle for a late night "short" read.

Author's Response:

Hi, Cheryl!  Thanks for the note - yeah, not sure exactly why I thought of Brian, but when the article described those three bird calls, he immediately came to mind - LOL!  Hope you enjoy it!:)

What a delight to find something pleasant to read while being snowed in.  I like the analogy to an eagle.

Another great story!
