Wow, Kim...That was a quick response and no, it didn't detract from the story at all, but I know I would want to know in order to correct it so I figured you would as well. Great story!
Author's Response:
I do. (Pardon the pun). 😉 I'm not anywhere that I can correct it, but will when I get home. Thank you for letting me know.

I really enjoyed re-reading this story. I'm always amazed at the varied situations and alternate lives you conjure up for the boys while still keeping them mostly in character. Keep up the good work! TAG
Author's Response: Hi, Tag! Thank you for choosing to re-read this one, and for taking the time to comment. That means a lot to me. Thank you, too, for the encouragement. I really need that right now, because I have so much to do, and so very little time in which to do it! Thanks again. *Hugs* ~Kim

I know that this story is a year old now, but I just spent the last day reading it and really enjoyed it! I wanted to see our boys get together earlier in the story, but it was important that Brian leave the asshole and tell Justin the truth about their arrangement before they got together. The suspense was killing me there for a bit, but I knew that they would eventually get together and live happily ever after!
Author's Response: Hi, Nancy! Don't ever worry about commenting on one of my older stories - I love the feedback! Thank you for reading and for taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed it; that makes me very happy.:) I love to play with the boys' sexual tension before I bring them together ("Stirring Up Trouble" is a lot like this one if you like that sort of thing and haven't read that one yet - inserting shameless plug here - ha!). Thank you again for your lovely feedback, Nancy. I'll be looking forward to your stories as well.:) *Hugs* ~Kimberly

Wonderful! Poor Justin, underestimating his own worth..... Love Robert being put in his place.
"Justin Taylor had succeeded in obtaining what he had been seeking all along but had been unable to capture, something that had been too elusive and out of reach for him to achieve. Something that his ex-fiancé closely guarded over any amount of money – his fragile heart."
Loved this! :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Susan, for the thought-provoking review. I'm so pleased you liked this story! Obviously Brian would have never normally be attracted to someone like this man! I'm glad both boys came to their senses.:) Thanks again for all the feedback, Susan, I'm honored!:)

Throughout this chapter I felt like I couldn't breath!
Brian for one, silently suffering that overbearing pompous ass and Justin on the other with his "friend" whatshis name, both of those pricks will try to make them, seriously???, understand they should marry them???????
I have always wondered how many out there believe that marriage is exactly that, a forced decision. You know, it's like the less of two evils I guess.
Anyway, I really liked the determination that Brian showed in the end of this chapter, I felt that Brian Fucking Kinney was back, because for a minute there I was wondering if he was abducted by damn alliens LOL!
I will continue reading now.

Sad to see this one end. I look foreward to the next story!!!

Catching up on this fic. Woooowwwww! Brian has nicely matured, and to go to that extreme for Justin is really in character with who he is. He would do anything for his boy, wouldn't he.
I liked the build in the B/J relationship and reading that they are bonding, Brian loves his cooking, etc. It's these little things that really make a story, the details. You do it so well.
It was very refreshing and relaxing to read, especially after a rough day. Like chocolate!

I've been reading this story over the past few days and I'm now to this chapter! I absolutely LOVE it! I'm utterly amazed at how you can write so many really great stories with different plots and different characters and AU situations (and long ones at that!) and still have the be fresh and fun and sexy!
I'm SO sorry I haven't commented until now; I've been reading on my phone or my iPad and neither of those devices will allow me to use the commenting on this website. So tonight I told myself I was definitely getting on an actual computer so I could comment!
While I'm waiting for the rest of the epilogue, I'm gonna go find another of your stories to delve into! :-D
Hugs, Cindy
Author's Response: Ah, Cindy, I LOVE hearing from someone new - thank you so much for letting me know you're reading along and enjoying the story! I am so appreciative you took the time to leave me a review - those are what keep me motivated to keep writing and I am always delighted to read other's thoughts about my stories.:) Sometimes I risk going crazy with so many open stories but I so enjoy writing them. If you like the sexual tension between these two, and haven't read it already, you might like "Stirring Up Trouble." But if you're looking for "fun and sexy," and haven't read them, if I could be so bold, you might like "Arms Open Wide," "Payback," or "Roughing It." These are all more lighthearted, funny stories (mainly fluff) with just the right amount of sex mixed in (after all, it's B & J we're talking about - LOL!). Thanks again for reading and reviewing, and thanks to all my other faithful readers who take the time to review - you made my night! *Hugs*

If what Brian did isn't love, then I don't know what is. The reconciliation of Nico and Justin would be nice. It was wrong of Justin to accept the ring but equally wrong of Nico to ask him to marry him.

First of all - loves you forever for being long winded equating to another chapter!! Yay, yay and yay!! Haha. Oh wow. This was amazing. Is there anything sweeter than Brian Kinney in love? No, I don't think so. Awwww, that he would go see Nico that just melted my heart... of course, he was standard Brian during the visit. But, that's how we love him, right? I simply love Justin in his queen out moments as well. Brian always knows how to handle him & bring him back. Utterly incredible, my friend. I am going to miss this story immensely... but still doing a happy dance it lives for at least one more verse yet!!

Author's Response: Thank you for reading and for the review - I'm a sucker and hopeless romantic when it comes to these boys, so never fear - if it's one of my stories, they always wind up happy (of course I have to play with them just a bit in the meantime to get them there - LOL!) I'm planning on Brian and Nico meeting in the epilogue and hopefully finding a way for the two friends to reconcile a little more (he and Justin). Thanks for reading - hope you're enjoying the story.:)

Excellent Title for this chapter! Glad to see Chagall out of the picture, didn't want to think he might try and cause more trouble for Justin. Your sex scenes leave me panting, not good for an old lady. LOL Can't wait for the sequel to The Wedding Present.
Author's Response: Thanks, Suse! And don't worry, if I can write the scenes as an "old lady," hopefully you can handle them, too - LOL! Yes, I should be wrapping up both this story as well as "She's Your Daughter" - I think that one has one more chapter to go as well - so that should free me up soon to start on the sequel to the "Wedding Present." I've got all sorts of ideas swirling around for that one so I hope you'll enjoy it. Thanks for reading and especially taking the time to review - next time I'll leave a virtual ice alert warning before the chapter - LOL!:)

I WILL GET MY BUTT KICKED IF I DON'T REVIEW WHILE YOU KNOW WHO IS GONE. I MUST SAY THE THREE OF US WERE HAVING A TIME WHILE I WAS READING IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. THE SEX SCENES WERE VERY MADDENING FOR US. HAD TO STOP A FEW TIMES AND GET SOME BEVERAGES. SO THERE IT IS. GOOD STORY, BUT WE ARE WAITING FOR TLC TO CONTINUE. BB SIGNING OFF.
Author's Response: You are so funny! You mean you don't just read these scenes like some clinical analysis? LOL! I'm sure you're doing a fine job pinch hitting for lindc while she's in Bermuda! Although she's already managed to input her comments already - ha! When she comes back you'll have to make sure you thank her for leaving you in charge of the spicy scenes. Thanks for leaving the comment and say hello the other two in your group. Have to work on the next chapter of "Double Jeopardy" and finish "She's Your Daughter" before I can give the boys some more TLC but at least the little guy's getting better now so the "big boy" will have more time to devote to himself now.:) Thanks for filling in for your main leader and for leaving me the review.:)

What can I now say that I haven't already about this story, my friend? There is nothing I don't think. Lol. But, regardless... oh my this was incredible - once again. So beautiful, hot, intense... and Brian ridding the albatross that is Chagal from around his neck was just done amazingly well. Loved it so much. I will go through bouts of depression when this story is finished - which I know is directly around the corner. For certain, this story goes into my bank of all time favorites. Simply amazing job!!
Author's Response: You are so kind.:) I'm glad you have enjoyed it. I know how much you like the back and forth sexual tension between the two (and I know you're a consummate achiever of that as well, my dear....!). Thanks for your thoughts as always. I hope I can come up with another one soon that's similiar to this one and your other favorite, "Stirring." Thanks again, my dear....now go get yours updated so I have something to read myself - LOL!:)

Aagggrrr you're evil ... you skipped Double Jeopardy in updating * sniffs *. I need an update of that story ASAP.
But wowwww this was a wonderful and very HOT chapter. Thanks.
* hugs *
Author's Response: I know - you caught me, Marny! I just felt more in the mood to try and finish this one first (although as you see I didn't succeed, did I? (sigh))......Never fear, I have started on Double Jeopardy and it will definitely be updated next. I'm kind of finding it hard to write the therapy scenes - they're out of my area of expertise, so that is taking a little more time as to how to present it. But I have begun the chapter and will continue working on it. It should be posted soon.:) Thanks for reading this one in the meantime - *hugs* back to you.:)

Well Brian had a very productive day lol. Firstly he manages to calm and convince Justin the best thing in his life in Brian's life is Justin. Then secondly he gets his self respect back with Chignall. Great chapter :)Chris
Author's Response: Thank you for reading the latest chapter, Chris - so happy you liked it!:) Yes, it felt good to get rid of the blowhard (only he's not a blowhard in a GOOD way - LOL!). Thank you for taking the time to review, too.:)

You're outdone yourself again! HOT:
"But I'd much rather show you…..wouldn't you?"
I didn't think Chagall would give up so easily. Please update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you, friend - glad you enjoyed their little (well, ok, NOT so little - LOL!) romp in bed (sigh - if we could all only be so lucky, right?). Thanks for reading and especially taking the time to review - it is greatly appreciated.:)

wow!!wow!!!wow!!! what a hot chapter. so good. way to go brian getting chagall off your back. am in the bahamas and thought i'd check mw before i went out to eat. good thing i did--this chapter sooooo hot just like the weather here. lol
Author's Response: Well, I'm glad you taking care of what's important while you're on vacation - I'm jealous - LOL! Glad you could assuage your fanfic fix while you were gone. Hope you're having a great vacation. That's the sign of a wonderfully loyal reader when they review while on vacation - LOL! Thanks for doing that.:)

You write lovely sex scenes. Robert was so predictable and jealous of Justin. Are we getting near the end of this saga?
Author's Response: Hello, Bob! Always great to hear your thoughts - yes, I'm planning on one more chapter as an epilogue where Brian runs into Nico in Chicago while he's on business to sort of wrap it up; then it's off to the sequel to the "Wedding Present!" Thanks for reading and reviewing, my friend.:)

What a sad ending to a lovely friendship even though it had to happen. Justin was so careful and tried so hard not to hurt Nico, we can only hope in time Justin and Nico can get back their friendship.
I am glad Justin kept shaking off the doubts Nico kept sliding in.
Look forward to the end chapter with some sadness xxChris
Author's Response: Hi, Chris! Yes, I tried hard to reconcile them but my plot bunny didn't go that way...:) I just thought it would be too trite and unrealistic to have them "kiss and make up" after how it must have hurt Nico. I feel sorry for the guy but I have to keep the boys together - perhaps Emmett's looking for a friend? Thanks for leaving your thoughts - there should one or maybe two more chapters to go....:)
Reviewer: Bigdogz09 (Signed) · Date: March 02, 2011 07:03 AM · On: The Painful Truth and Residual Doubt
I have so loved this story. I started reading it at Fanfiction.net and switched to here when I saw the update. Poor Nico, hopefully they can still be friends.
I will miss this fic when it's over. Well done!
All the best,
Bigdogz09/Laura
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Laura! I'm so glad to see you reading (and writing!) over here.....I haven't had a chance to quite catch up on your intriguing story, but I promise to do so soon....From what I've read so far you're doing a fabulous job! I may have two more chapters to go on this one before I finish it and start on the "Wedding Present" sequel. Thank you so much for reading so many of my stories and for all the reviews - I appreciate that so much.:)

i feel sorry for nico, but i am happy b/j are together. this is one of the sories i hate to see end,
Author's Response: Thank you for the review - I think there will be one or maybe even two more before I end it. I'm so glad you've enjoyed it!:)
Reviewer: suse (Anonymous) · Date: March 01, 2011 11:26 PM · On: The Painful Truth and Residual Doubt
I am glad Justin was honest with Nico. That friendship will never be what it once was, but at least it leaves the door open. Once again you have entertained us with your story. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you, Suse - I'm delighted you're enjoying the story.:) I tried to reconcile them but to be realistic to the story I just didn't think it would be that cut and dried. I am toying with having Brian run into him down the road while on business for Kinnetik so he can tell Nico how much Justin means to him and let him know they're still together. I think that would make for some interesting reading. Thanks again for reading and especially leaving me a review - I greatly appreciate that.:)

Those four ribbons were a joke and were quickly removed in a day. Me and the website's founder had a good laugh about it and how sensitive folks are about the ribbons in the first place.
In fact I think you have more blue ribbons than I do! Not fair!
Beautiful chapter as always.
Author's Response: You mean those four ribbons weren't a special tech award or something? LOL! I thought it was pretty funny actually, but then again I have a pretty warped sense of humor (of course, you already know that from "Arms Open Wide," I imagine - ha! As for how many ribbons I have, I won't tell if you won't tell.....(now you know I'm not planning on stopping there, either, don't you?) Patience is not one of my virtues (sigh...). But I will wait longingly by my computer until which time I see another one of those elusive awards show up.....ha!
Take care, Bob - always great to hear from you in between your grand Medieval saga (congrats on all the reviews, BTW.....and of the course the (real) ribbon for it!:)

* sniffs * heartbreaking for both Justin and Nico
Author's Response: Hi, Marny - Yeah, it turned out pretty sad but I think it was more realistic that way.:) I think I see one more chapter and/or an additional epilogue coming where he and Nico meet unexpectedly and "compare notes" about Justin.:) Thanks for reading and taking the time to review, my friend.:) *Hugs* (and sniffles - LOL!)
Reviewer: no sleep (Signed) · Date: March 01, 2011 12:59 PM · On: The Painful Truth and Residual Doubt
That breakup was perfect. Nico stayed a true friend even though he was hurt and does not trust Brian. I thought he was going to be a total bitch or drama queen. Nice chapter!
Author's Response: Thank you, my friend. Yeah, I tried hard to get them reconciled more but just couldn't realistically do it. Perhaps in the future at some point - I CAN see a chapter where he and Brian meet when Brian is in Chicago on business and he finds out he and Justin are still together, so Nico knows he was being sincere with his friend. I think that will either be in the next (last) chapter or the epilogue.....Thanks as always for taking the time to review - I really appreciate that!)

Poor Justin. Wanting to believe in Brian and not listen to what Nico said about Brian.
I am looking forward in finding out what will happen next.
Great chapter.
Author's Response: Hi, Lynn - thanks for the comments! I think Brian will do a good job in the next chapter of putting Justin's fears to rest, but you know our little emotional artist - he can be a doubter at times. Glad you read the latest chapter and enjoyed it - thanks for reading.:)

wonderful chapter. brian to the rescue. hopefully nico will find a new love. we all loved this story so much. please update tlc as we people in health care need refueling. lol
Author's Response: Ooh, I noticed you've changed your user name - hysterical! Love it! I feel so pressured now - like I'm auditioning for a whole wing of the hospital or something - ha! Well, I'd better make sure I hurry up and get Gus recovered from his ordeal - my knowledge of medical issues is limited and besides, we all know you're not reading TLC in hopes of publishing a medical treatise out of it - LOL! I'm losing track now of which story is next - but I think it may be the one you're hoping for (hint, hint...!). Now that I have my assignment, I will get hard to work on it. Say hello to everyone for me....:)

*Sigh* How heartbreaking for Nico & for the both of them. Such damage this does to a once beautiful friendship. Hopefully they can recover from this and find that once again... no matter how unlikely. I'm so glad Justin stuck to his guns and belief in Brian. Vividly portrayed... I could feel the agony from each of them. Now, Brian gets to pick up the pieces and hopefully work towards a life with Justin. You know how much I'm going to hate to see this story end... but they say all good things must end. And, this is one of the best, my friend. Congrats on another fabulous story... en route to what I know will be a stellar finish!! =)
Author's Response: Thank you as always, dear! I was actually hoping to finish it up in this chapter, but you know me - LOL! My head is churning with all sorts of new story possibilities, including the "Weddng Present" sequel, but I dearly want to limit how many I have going on at one time - I don't have to tell you what that's like (although I noticed you squeezed in that cute little one-shot about Justin's hair tonight - love Justin's queen outs and Brian's amused reactions to them). Thanks again - now go write some more of your own version of sexy vampire/ice skater Brian!:)

I thoroughly enjoy reading your stories. You make the storyline believable, and au has always been my favorite choice to read. Please do keep writing your efforts are truly appreciated.
Author's Response: Thank you so much, Sue - I just need a little ego-boosting from time to time.:) I'm glad you're enjoying my stories - that is the only reason I have to keep spending hours writing them, so as long as I know someone is appreciating them and enjoying them, that is all the incentive I need.:) Thank you for reading and especially leaving your thoughts - it is greatly appreciated!:)

I am looking forward to the conversation between Justin and Nico. Justin need to be honest with Nico about Brian.
Great chapter, looking forward for more.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Lynn! Yes, I agree - and I have written enough of the next chapter already to be able to tell you that they will have their serious (and somewhat painful) discussion in the next chapter. Also, I can see Brian having a little tete-a-tete with a certain pompous restaurant owner, too (hint, hint)....thanks for reading and especially taking the time to review - I greatly appreciate it!:)

Thanks for the update. Look forward to the conclusion!!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review, Judi! I've started on the next chapter with Nico and Justin's climactic meeting - the poor boy's not very happy with Justin, so they will have a lot of talking to do. And I think Brian is about to meet up with his pompous, ex-fiance one more time for a "proper goodbye." Hope you'll stay tuned - thanks for reading so far!:)

Please tell me you'll update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review and letting me know you like it - that's great!:) I will definitely be updating soon - have to go back to my teaching job on Monday, unfortunately, so that will slow it down somewhat. But I make a point of updating my stories on a regular basis so you WILL see another chapter soon.:) Working on "The Wedding Present" today, so hopefully I'll have an update on that one sometime this weekend, but have to do lesson plans, too! Thank you again for reading and especially reviewing - stay tuned! Something tells me Robert's not going to be very happy shortly - hint, hint...

Usually I prefer Brian and Justin, but having read chapters of your other stories I can see this one is going to be a favorite. What with Justin a Wedding Planner, a job normal pertrayed by Emmett and Brian's bride to be a pombus restranteur. This is going to be fun.
>
Author's Response: Thank you, my friend! So glad to see you're along for the ride on this one! Yeah, somethng tells me that Brian needs a little help with an ad campaign....I think that will take care of a couple of his problems, don't you? Stay tuned!:)

I read the first 8 chapters pretty much in one sitting and it was good. I admit I have a thing for AU Brian/Justin stories cause there's only so many ways to retell the bashing or what happened after the series ended.
But, you lost me at the end of Chapter 8. Now we have both of them engaged to other people and that just gets beyond my ability to root for them to get together. And why Justin agreed to marry Nico is really silly. Nico manipulates him into giving up on Brian, so he's going to marry Nico? He doesn't love Nico, but hell the guy he does like is taken so guess it's Fate.
I do love your writing style and hope you finish this story, but the whole pining for each other from the arms and bed of another doesn't do it for me.
Blessed Be
Author's Response: Thanks for the review and for reading. Hope you give it a chance - I have no intention of marrying off either Brian OR Justin to another man - I am simply using it as a plot device to create some needed angst and move them closer together, believe it or not. While it is not OOC for either Brian OR Justin to have sexual encounters with other men, especially Brian, I do not intend to have Justin and Nico even consummate their relationship before the hoped-for marriage (at least on Nico's part). While I do harbor a certain sense of pity for Nico because I am writing him as a sympathetic character, my heart always lies with Brian and Justin begin together. I have never written any other types of stories where that does not happen, so I hope you'll hang in there and have faith all will come "out in the wash." Thanks again for the review.:)
