Author's Response: Yes, I LOVE that show along with Ace of Cakes and Amazing Wedding Cakes! I am so impressed and astonished with what they do - I would LOVE to take a cake decorating class. Author's Response: Yeah, I didn't think it would be right to penalize Justin for what his scamp of a boyfriend (?) had done - LOL! At least now Justin's on a level playing field with the others, which is just the way he would want it.:)

I don't understand.... I thought Brian wasn't going to try and influence the Judges in voting for Justin.... why did he do that??? Justin has enough talent to win on his own.....
Author's Response: Well, you know Brian....but don't worry; it's not going to happen the way he thinks....don't want to elaborate any further or I'll give it away. Brian is still an adolescent in the game of true love, so he has to take baby steps before he can walk....to Brian, I think he thinks this is the way to do it, but don't fear - he'll learn eventually and Justin will wind up competing equally with the others....!

I guess I was so determined to make sure they were happy in the end that I didn't feel it was necessary. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I just didn't want to spoil it for them.....

Author's Response: You know Brian - has to use his "best" talents to give Justin an edge; but he will wind up not really being a factor in whether he wins or not. Yes, they added an additional contestant due to Brian's intervention, but it will be Justin and his talent that will have to prove whether he can win or not. There will be some unforeseen issues that come up that make Brian's intervention not as important as it might have been, which I think is for the best. Justin would not be happy if he did not win on his own merit - stay tuned!:)

Author's Response: The wallet will be showing up shortly; and yeah, I always liked creating more of a friendship between Emmett and Justin. We saw snatches of it in the series but it was never really explored too much. I could see them being kindred spirits, though, definitely! Thanks again for reviewing.:)

I love to create a little angst here and there to spice things up, and besides, I wouldn't want Brian to capture Justin's heart THAT easily - LOL! I think that is the goal if they win the contest - they are going to have help at the competition at their exhibition booth while they are competing and if Justin manages to win some of the prize money, he hopes to be able to do just that (hope I'm not giving away too much of the story line here.....:)

Another great story; plenty of wonderful details, touching Brian/Gus interactions, and almost unbearable sexual tension between Brian and Justin. I bake some but nothing as elaborate as Justin and I've seen one of those cake contests so even though I couldn't completely envision what Justin's pirate ship cake looked like, I have no trouble believing it was probably over the top and amazing. As an aside, I know all writers want to know that folks read and appreciate their work; even though you're not getting the volume of feedback some of the other writers on the site are getting, it's not because of the quality of your stories and it's not because folks aren't reading and enjoying them. You're new and it'll take time. But, believe me, I definitely read each of your stories and appreciate all of your hard work. Cheers!
