Brian enters in this distressing period for parents with the first experiences of love, the first relations sex… He realizes his son grow up. Once more, we’re waiting for Gex. As last friday, his train has been stopped in the neighboring département, this time it’s because of a train crash (freight train vs truck, luckily without injured persons, just structural damages). Super-Tomas left to pick his man again. I swear, I’m not kidding…So, as last friday, in the meantime, I comment on the latest chapters that I read.
Double party at home... I think it’s the best solution for everyone. Children can have fun without major problems and parents are reassured because they know their children safe.
My father had built a sort of nightclub in a barn on the property and while we were there, they entertained the parents in the main house (and these parents also saw that my parents weren’t so different). They organized some recreational activities with the little children too, because it was out of question that Gex and his friends are bothering us...;)
If Gus has the same reputation at school we had in our time, he will be THE guy to be with. ... In any case, this young couple is too cute

Bravo! J and Gus had a great 'talk', but then the dads have always fostered an environment where Gus feels he can speak freely. And because of that support he could also speak freely with Jenna (and she in turn was relieved). I'm glad that he and Jenna cleared the air. I'm sure they will have lots of fun anyway! In fact, I think because they'll get to know what is pleasurable to each other before they decide to go all the way, it will most likely be a mind blowing experience for them when they do. *g*

I'm glad that Gus is ok. For the first time he got to see the true benefit of the security detail and although it wasn't a life-threatening assualt (as yet), it was on a level Gus and his classmates/friends could understand and appreciate the necessity for the bodyguard.
I like the balance of parenting responsibility between B & J. They complement each other. When one is queening out, the other generally is calmer and more rational. This is extremely beneficial when raising kids (especially hormonal teenagers)!

Good to see the home created in Malibu. This will be a different lifestyle for everyone compared to back east living styles. The death of a parent is always a major milestone in our lives but it happens. I found it very interesting Brian turns his old family home into a shelter for homeless gay teens. Perhaps he's chasing some demons here.
Author's Response: Brian did have a reason for doing this with the old house; it ends some sad memories he has with new ones for the house's future helping gay kids who need a home away from the Liberty Avenue trappings. Hahaha! I love this twist. Jerome made a very big booboo. This way everybody wins (except AD Europe) and J gets to keep up his flying hours too (if he so chooses).
I never would have imagined that Michael would be smarter than Linds either. But then again, Linds hasn't had to fear for her life, been physically abused, or have to haul garbage like Michael. Those things have to have had an impact. Maybe Linds needs tough love, too?

Well, I can get with their desire to move to Malibu, but if Brian was going to start up another agency, he could have just opened up another branch of Kinnetik on the west coast.
I can easily picture J getting back into his painting/art and maybe mentoring young students. I could also see B maybe exploring his artistic side and getting more into photography. Remember he made the Poolboy shots and he also took the 'beefcake' photos of Michael when he was trying to sell himself on a dating website. He definitely has the eye for what looks good.
B could be a teacher/professor of marketing/advertising to university students (online if he didn't want to commute to whatever school). He could also lecture or give workshops to companies needing his expertise. Can you just imagine snarky B at a podium teaching? I bet he wouldn't have any bored students! Lol.
Regardless, I've enjoyed the speculation. Also like the idea of having more of the Pitts family out there too.

Sorry, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for anyone who drinks and drives. Linds is lucky that she only harmed herself (and her mother's Cadillac). I wonder if this knocks any sense into her? Well, she did it to herself, whatever happens...
I'm fascinated, but highly suspicious of the Skycars. I love gadgets and flying machines, but I just don't see where the air traffic safety is with these machines. It's barely safe enough for the trained pilots in lower altitude flying, witness the recent chopper and prop plane crash in NY or the many near misses we read about. Even if the machines themselves are safe in the long term, I just don't see how they would make the skies safe for everyone.
Well, Bill wrote himself a one-way ticket out of Kinnetik. How stupid can you get?

I was surprised by the jump of 3 years, but enjoyed the tour of Mark's Island.

Linds is slipping. Gus is a smart kid, but he hasn't really been exposed to emotional manipulation on a par of what Linds could be capable to get what she wants. I mean he knows about his own abuse by her in the past, but does he know what drove her to it (that she has/had a thing for B)? I think the more that she is thwarted in controlling the situation with B and Gus, she will keep slipping.
Interesting details on the island...737 acres can have many microclimates and the beaches on each side of the island can be totally different. It makes sense to have a thorough understanding of the island before making any decisions about the resort.
