Well, if I had a mustache I'd be positively twirling it! I loved Jenn's conversation with Craig, thank you for that. What was it B once told J (just before he got in with the Pink Posse), the best way to piss off the straights was to be a big fat success, or something to that affect anyway. Yeah baby!
I had to laugh and inhaled my water wrong when Deb asked Carl when he could fuck again! LOL
So, then my metaphorical mustache drooped reading about Michael and everyone pulling out all the stops not to mention $$ to help him again. Well, I'm glad B punched him, hope it knocked some sense in to him, but somehow I doubt it. I also think he will screw up again (I mean how can he not, he's had so much practice).
Another good one, on to the next and probably my last for the evening..er morning now (unless you left me with another cliffhanger).

Aaagh a cliff hanger! You couldn't let me revel in imagining Craig's reactions to Britin could you? Well, that's one benefit of me coming late to your story, I don't have to wait to find out what happened the next chapter is there (not that you make us wait too long anyway).
I hope Carl's going to be all right, because I don't think Deb can take much more. Also, not to be mean, but if Carl was so unprepared for the guy to pull a gun, he should probably retire, too.
Well, between Joan, Claire and Craig, they prove the old adage that you can't pick your family, otherwise they would have been left by the wayside long ago (if chosen in the first place). But what B did for Claire was very nice.
Nice touch with Michael, seeing that copy of the check and what he could have had, if only...
Ok, rushing off to the next.
Author's Response: I try not to overdo the cliffies but I feel a few of them make for a good read. Debbie has plans for Carl's retirement. Justin has plans for his father; he's an angel with a halo held up by horns. Brian loved rubbing the check in Michael's face.

Multi-millionaires! How surreal it must be to have a movie made of one's life story so far (even if it is Rage based).
Linds is off to Canada, good.
I'm glad that Mel was able to tie up all the legal issues surrounding the custody of Gus and his name change, so there is no connection to Peterson except on his birth certificate.
How true to life Gus is as a sensitive kid, to think that what happened to him was somehow his fault. Good that Deb was able to reassure him.

Eeeewww! I'm glad you put the warning in there before I read about Michael. I'm sure this happens in prison, but I'm happy that I'm very ignorant on the subject. Didn't you write about Karma? Well, Black Dumpling, there you go.
I was kind of surpised that Sap was still able to control anything. I mean yeah, Michael was the rat, but Sap was the weasel that let him in to take down his operation and everyone with him. In fact, I'm surprised he's still alive, not only from his 'mafia', but also from powerful family ties any of his victims might have had. Hmmm...
Ok, I'm not a fan of B/J messing around with anyone else when they've committed themselves and I understand that Jerry is in the closet and J will be his 'first'. I'm just glad I didn't have to read about their entire encounter, though.
I'm hopeful that this is it, even though they will be in business in future...?

Author's Response: All Jerry did was touch Justin's body like a massage; his first male body to explore, they kissed, and he gave Justin head. Justin just laid there letting him have a positive first experience. Realize Jerry was scared of blackmail and needed help he could trust coming out. Brian and Justin are still counting the days they won't need a condom anymore. Sap isn't out of the woods yet but he does have connections in the jail system and paid the guards to let him see it.
That was the worse of it for Michael however, for the most part. Thanks for reviewing very much.

Loved the moment with Gus and Deb. I don't use bad language too often, but darned if I don't get caught with a little one around when I do! Lol
I liked the story of Michael's assets and their final outcome, very fair to everyone. Although I noticed that at no time did Michael ask how Justin was, what a schmuck.
Wow! Marvel Comics and Justin's a millionaire. Love it! If only Michael had thought of being a better human being he would be free and have had half a million bucks too. Life sucks sometimes! Am I a malicious person to enjoy everyone (except Ted) refusing to accept his calls? Hehehe...

The big bonuses on waking up, J remembering his prom night and what it meant to both he and B, seeing B there beside him when he came to and of course that his hand seems to be all better!
Wonderful, heartpoundingly heartwarming. On to the next...

The interview was as Oprah promised, no questions about Lindsey or Brian's past sexual habits.
I worried when Helen from New York asked about Justin's age but as everything else that you do you worded the response just right.
My favorite paragraph was when Brian said the following: “To be honest he doesn’t. The only thing I remember recently is he choked on a penny and it scared him so much he didn’t need to be punished. Gus is a very well mannered boy with no behavior problems knock on wood. We don’t believe in spanking at all. He’s never been hit by us. We talk to him until he understands what we expect from him.”

Author's Response: Thanks Jane for commenting. That's how my parents raised me and I turned out just fine. I'm against spanking at any age. Usually spaking is more about a parent relieving flustration than correcting a child. I believe hitting a child harms their mind and spirit. If you don't have the patience to talk with your child you should not be raising one but thats my opinion.

Damn, I knew it! I hope J's going to be all right. Michael is more than fucked, he just hasn't figured it out yet. I just hope B keeps his head and doesn't murder Michael, because J and Gus need him at home.
I'm glad Mel is moving back down. They all need each other and the kids will give Deb something good/positive to focus on. I was a little surprised that Deb took Michael's situation as well as she did, but then again when he tries to hurt two of her other 'boys' what can she do?
Glad that Mr. Peterson is on the same page as Brian and will try to get Linds out of the country. No one in the family needs to media circus.
How true the Gary situation rings for me. In my working history I've personally seen the same circumstances of the no talent folks so threatened by the talented (especially if they are younger, too). Love the 'Ride Me' slogan too. Lol

Wow, what a nightmare! Linds is psycho and definitely needs to be put away. Yes, Gus may be a Brian minime, but he's still a child and hers to boot.
I like this Mel. She is not using Gus as a pawn, she truly loves him. I'm glad that B&J will have total custody of Gus. He's at an age where the male influences in his life are more important anyway.
Michael is such a moron. Just like a child (albeit a 35+ years old child), thinking only of himself. Not understanding that by hurting Justin, he hurts Brian too (as well as the rest of the family). But they need to have him arrested to protect themselves. Deb will have a cow.

I've been off-line for about a month due to eye surgery and low and behold what do I find when I'm able to read the computer screen again? A new story by you! I'm so excited...off to read.
Oh yeah, you hit several points with this chapter that never made sense to me in the show. Why did J have to go to NY to achieve 'his dream'? After all, the success he'd already garnered was acquired in the Pitts. And leave his inspiration behind? I don't think so. It would have made more sense for Brian to go to NY too, after all back in Season 1 if that job hadn't fallen through he would have gone. And Lindsay...I always felt that she had a thing for Brian and if he had ever given the nod, she would be all over him.
And now Michael...really, really big sigh of disappointment. He's a husband and a father of two. Is he ever going to get over his inability to see Brian other than as a superhero action figure, that is never supposed to change. And his jealousy of Justin, who has everything he wants. Another part of the show that was inexplicable for me...what was Ben supposed to see in Michael, beyond a lost little boy that needed a father figure? Additionally, why would Linds and Mel choose him to father their next child, for his magnificent intellect, impressive good looks and beautiful speaking voice? (snort).
Well, Justin gave him the release to find another artist to work with him on Rage so that can keep going for him.
I love the friendship of B/J with Ted and Em. A gushing Em is always a hoot! And I liked the smack down he and Debbie gave Michael. It was deserved.
I love the idea of them working together. I mean with J's artistic talent and B's business acumen and creativity, they have such great synnergy, it's a natural. Todd was very stupid, but typical of some of the corporate types I've met in my life.
Loved this, great beginning! On to the next...

The Unions in the USA were started by and most of the members continue to be (as you so quaintly refer to them) "white people" -- unless you don't consider the Irish, Polish, Ashen Jews, Russians, Italian, Germans, etc., etc., "white"?
And BTW women who work in support and clerical roles stopped being referred to as "girls" sometime in the late 1970's or early 1980's after lots and lots of high-profile multi-million dollar lawsuits were settled in their favour. No one in this day and age who runs a successful company would EVER refer to their female colleagues like that or make that statement about race or unions. And if anyone were so foolish as to make such a statement in the hearing of any other successful corporate executive would find their career path immediately derailed.
It doesn't even matter if "that's how they really feel" or "that's how they talk at home" or "they were just joking around". If the wrong person heard that or god forbid recorded it on there cell-phone and posted it on YouTube, BOTH Companies would be in an incredible amount of trouble from the government, the unions, activist groups, etc.
I like the plots of stories a lot young man, but sometimes it's as thought you are writing it as if it were set back in the days of the TV Program "Mad Men". And you make me worry about what will happen to you and your eventual career if you do not realize that some of these things are not appropriate in Corporate America these days.

What planet are you on? I didn't say "white people"; I said "white collar" as verses "blue collar". One is people paid with a salary and the other is people paid hourly. Race and nationality has nothing to do with it. Professional people who dress up are white collar. Working people who for instance, wear a uniform or blue collar and many are in a union like auto workers.
The term "girl friday" is office talk for a temporary hired help person from an agency who is not an employee to help a company in an emergency of workload. It can be a man or a woman. The term was created in the Depression when companies would only hire temp workers as needed to hold down cost. Back then the temp help was usually women. There is nothing sexist about it.

Author's Response: It was actually the next week on the job. A moment wishing your were dead as a failure is not clinical depression or really being sucicidal for real. After a few days Michael woke up and remembered Ted's drug problem and how it hurt him. Crack cocaine isn't addictive; mentally they crave it for a day and it passes. Thank you for asking.

Author's Response: Realize the art and media department practically carried almost the entire Ford campaign single handedly and are sick of making ads for vehicles. Gaining the GM contract was the big break Brian wished for and foreseeing it coming is why he expanded the company with the best talent he could get; now everyone is busy and happy.
