God only knows how long the novel's going to be; I'm not short of new ideas. How do you end the story of a city of vampires who never die? I might create a series of the plotline in the future before creating a million word epic novel that will frighten some readers away from trying to read this story in the future. I've always loved long stories; one of my major complaints for other writers is longer chapters please! Thanks so much for you comments.

Author's Response: After Lindsay and Mel broke up, Mel went back to Pittsburgh and got her old job back. Slowly she rejoined the family at Debbie's house. Over time the hard feelings passed and everyone is sort of friends now. She realizes she messed up and respects Brian and Justin more than she fears them. They could smash her like a bug and she knows it and doesn't do anything to provoke them. She may or may not be at Debbie's house depending if she wants to avoid Brian and Justin. So much I was especially touched by the exchange Justin / Diamond, so much I appreciated the exchange Brian / Diamond in this chapter. Communication is the main thing. I found this chapter simply splendid. However, I needed a little time to write this comment ‘cause...waouh, the more I read the exchange between Justin and Diamond, the more I had a knot in my stomach and tears in my eyes. After reading this, I talked with my father. If I'm today this stable young adult, thanks to the support that I received. Until 12 years, I lived with my moms then they left me to my dads where was already my brother. Without their sacrifices, a siblings with hands as big as Justin's, I could fall into a downward spiral. I had a little trouble managing the « atypical » family, my sexuality, teasing, rejection, my rejection too ‘cause I was hurtful sometimes... To be a normal teenager, it's not so easy... Vampire teenager, I dare not even imagine what Diamond is experiencing Sorry for my long comment but...A lot of emotions. A beautiful description... Thanks

Like Justin told him: "It won't happen overnight but you will get better." I should dedicate this chapter to a very young boy I knew back in the 70s named Matthew. Now that was a basket case but he turned out just fine in the end. If you take away being a vampire this is his story.

Boy do you know how to push the envelope and go where no writer as dared to go before. Diamond Applebee is a very complex character. I can see 8000 years of wisdom failing Dracula dealing with this young vampire boy. I read the review you did for my hazel eyes and realized you set the plot up for some major wild stuff happening. Try not to get kicked off the website. The story is too good.

Sympathetic characters are the secret of many good writers, for example: poor orphan mistreated Harry Potter, innocent naive bashed Justin Taylor, clumsy loveless displaced Bella Swan, heartbroken Romeo, etc. The more likely I grab the emotional purse strings of the readers the more likely my story is really successful. For Diamond Applebee to have a chapter named after him tells you he’ll possibly be a major character. He’s barely 13 so he looks and thinks like a 12 year old boy. He’ll never get older or bigger. His voice will never change and he’s a vampire. How do you parent a 12-13 year old horny vampire boy? Who can he ever embrace with? Who would want him and be a decent man? Dracula will need Justin’s wisdom with kids like never before.
