Joan died. Brian and Justin take care of the future of their nephews. They don’t forget John in the process... He's lucky.
Convert his child house into a home for young gays is an excellent idea.
Very good chapter
Author's Response: Never fail to take adavantage of a tax loop hole; the will made it possible to give the boy's cash without tax problems up to $7 million in America today. Brian ends his memory of the house with a positive future for it. Thanks Gex for commenting.

Well, they gradually move into their new life.
Unfortunately, a sad event brings them back to Pittsburgh. Brian and Justin help Claire for Joan’s funeral. Brian takes care very well of his two nephews. I just hope that John will be grateful. The idea to transform his childhood home into a centre for young gay is really great ...
Fine chapter
Author's Response: Parents do eventually do pass away. That's one of the milestones of the journey of life. Brian wanted to purge the memories he has of that home with a new start for the place to do some good. Thanks Ihintza.

Oh good, I have a little catching up to do!
The Malibu house sounds wonderful. Did they get a west coast counterpart for Tray? Who will watch Devin & Gus on the days B/J are in the Pitts?
Joan, well that's another chapter closed. I love what B did for his nephews and for his childhood home. This way he can maybe banish some old hurts and help other boys, too. I wonder if John will be properly appreciative of what has been done for him (especially considering his past with B). Did he stay in contact with Peter over the years and for that matter did Claire?
Great chapter! On to the next...
Author's Response: Tray moved with the family to Malibu. There is no chef at Britin now for 3 days a week; just a housekeeper. More about John in future chapters; college has mellowed the boy out. Glad you're having fun reading.

Beautiful house.
Very thoughful of Brian to buy John a suit, to buy Joan house 2.1 million and advice.
Muah. Muah. Muah.
Author's Response: It's a write off and he ends his bad memories growing up there by turning the house into something positive for homeless gay kids. This was a good chance to give the boys some money and avoid taxes. He isn't stupid were money is concerned. Besides if you're worth 20 billion, 2 million is like two dollars to us poor people. Thanks for the Muahs!

Good to see the home created in Malibu. This will be a different lifestyle for everyone compared to back east living styles. The death of a parent is always a major milestone in our lives but it happens. I found it very interesting Brian turns his old family home into a shelter for homeless gay teens. Perhaps he's chasing some demons here.
Author's Response: Brian did have a reason for doing this with the old house; it ends some sad memories he has with new ones for the house's future helping gay kids who need a home away from the Liberty Avenue trappings. Six kids and a den mother can live there when the remodeling is finished and they each have their own room. Thanks for commenting Dave.

a fitting ending to a lady who turned her life around accepting her son. hope john turns around and accepts his brother
Author's Response: Joan had a good life reconciled with her son in the end. John tolerates his gay relatives and rarely sees them. His estate from his grandmother will open his eyes when he later learns how it happened by Brian's handeling of things. Thanks for commenting.
