Good for Justin coming to the point where he forgave his father. This will only help Justin in the long run by letting go his hurt feelings. Craig doesn't deserve Justin's forgiveness, he was such a bastard to him, but Justin deserves to have this part of his life a done deal.

Author's Response:

Following Gus's example this was Justin's way of letting it go. And yes he will be better off for doing it this way. Thanks Kat.

At last, we have a brief sunny spell this morning.

Forgiveness is easier said than done. Gus is impressive. He understood forgiveness will allow him to go beyond the unhappy event and continue his life... Wow, he gives us a lesson ! I’m longing to see their Christmas’ break in Malibu. It's not very nice to talk about vacation as I’ve just take up my degree course again after a year off (Yes, I’m not just a pretty butt, I’ve a brain too). It's hard and I miss my bf ;)

Super Chapter

Big kisses

Author's Response:

I'm very happy to see you back. If you get busy a very short review and rating is fine; the hit still counts. Gus is so smart for his age. Glad you have a brain to go with that fine twink tail of yours. Big kisses back!

I have said it, I say it again and I will say it later but Gus is really an amazing kid. I love him. He may be only 12 but he acts wisely. He teachs us a damn lesson of wisdom. Devin is adorable too… At this age, they are often disarmingly simplicity...

I hope Justin has found inner peace now

JTS, here is a wonderful chapter, very pleasant (I love those moments of life at Britin)

Thank you for this wonderful work

Big kisses

Author's Response:

I too enjoy the simple moments in life with our boys in the story. When you consider who is raising Gus it's not so surprising how great a kid he is. Big kisses back!

Very good talk between Gus & Justin. Who said we can't take exemple from the young.

Looking forward the family vacation in Malibu.

Love you.

Author's Response:

Gus is incredible for his age; he lives in such a positive environment he has great confidence in himself. Malibu coming up.

Love you back!

forgiving does help, not living with the ex-abuser do definatley help.

Author's Response:

Yes, I can see that being very true. That topic sparked a lot of interest. Thanks for commenting alys.

Gus is doing the right thing for him and he also gave J something to think about too.  Forgiveness is not always easy to give, and in some cases it took me a long time, but in my experience it has been beneficial when given.

Devin is cute about moving everyone to the ocean.  I always love a child's view of the world and how simple it should be.  If only!  *g*

Great!

Author's Response:

Well look who became my 1,300th reviewer and will have the next chapter dedication: YOU!!!!  I got several private emails from people who were abused doubting how Gus could so easily forgive his mother so I felt the story needed more information from him so the readers could understand his thinking. The world through the eyes of a 5 year old is fun to see. Next chapter the family of Kinneys goes to Malibu for Christmas and New Years. Thanks for commenting.

Author's Response:

I felt the story needed more knowledge from Gus how he could so easily forgive his mother for such horrible abuse. Thanks nickie for commenting.
