Liberty Avenue would not be the same without Debbie.
Author's Response: I totally agree.

Wow, I had no idea you could go to China and buy organs from condemed prisoners. I'm glad Debbie is going to be ok. Can't lose Maw!
Author's Response: It's one of those dirty little world secrets of the rich and famous. If you can afford it you can buy it in China. Most of the surgeons are trained in America too. Thanks for commenting Kat.

Wonderful chapter. Is it true the USA is trying to outlaw it. The moment they succeed the prices double.
Best line in the chapter:
"Like a 24 year old who wants to sell you some dope.” Debbie laughed
Author's Response: Thank you Jane; Debbie has a great sense of humor. There has been talk against the organ practice in the USA but nothing concrete against it. It's just a dirty little secret of the rich swept under the rug again. Once in a while the media does a story but so far there is no action in Congress against it to my knowledge. China's a very important trading partner we don't want to piss off.

Wow ! Debbie has a heart attack… It’s a stressful moment for them but fortunately Brian can handle all the arrangements. I’m happy for her now. She’ll be OK for several years…
Excellent chapter. I googled some items about organs in China. There’s something fishy about this business…
Great job
Thank you very much
Big hug
Author's Response: Lots of people put down the practice until they need an organ. It's for real. Hugs Back!

Whew! I'm very glad that Deb's going to be ok. Carl better watch out, she's got a 24 year old set of lungs & heart. She might kill him with her stamina. Lol.
I was aware that organs are sold on the black market, but I didn't know that in China they harvested the organs from condemned prisoners. Well, why not really? I just wonder how they determine the pricing...like any other commodity based on supply and demand? I'm just glad B&J have the money available to them to take care of Deb.
I have a donor card and wish that everyone did. If so, sick people wouldn't have to be on waiting lists for so long and/or die unnecessarily. Likewise, the knowledge that I could give several people the gift of life (via my heart, lungs, kidney, liver, etc) or sight, makes me feel good. Ok, off my soapbox now *g*
Another thought provoking, roller coaster chapter!
Author's Response: Poor Carl; I hope he can handle it. I was a paramedic for 8 years in California and I could tell you some stories about how eager they are to harvest organs from marginal patients who could be saved. I won't go there but to doctors one life can save 8 to 10 so it's all about the numbers. Glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for commenting in such detail.

OMG... Poor Debbie. I was worried at the beginning of the chapter but as reading proceeds, I felt better. I’m glad she has the benefit of Brian’s help and she’s ok now...I'm impressed by these stories of organs in China.
I can sit down to the meal and eat quietly...
Thank you for all your work, JTS.
Big love
Author's Response: I love Debbie; she lives strong now. I appreciate your comments very much.
Big Love Back!

Author's Response: This adds many years to Debbie's life. I'll put in a good word for you to B&J. Rich people buy organs in China every day. It's true; it you have the money they have the organs harvested from condemned prisoners. Thanks for commenting.
