Poor Melanie. Her daughter will grow up without a father that was barely involved. Instead of being the mother they need she's turned spiteful. Does she allow Deb to be involved with JR?

With that father it's probably better for poor JR that he won't be involved too much :(

As for Deb: That has been answered in Back for Good. After Melanie has moved away from Toronto, she broke off all contact with Debbie as well and Debbie hasn't seen JR since the time prior to the trial. Brian and Justin talked about it before Thanksgiving when they were considering whether or not to tell the family that Justin was now Gus' legal guardian.

Melanie is really cruel and out of touch. I thought she was more intelligent she is completely blinded and does not want to realize what she does to Gus.Gus will be where he belongs. And Jennifer can be his mother figure. Brian can put his life in order.

Melanie is hurt and guided by her pain :( Not a good combination and yes, the one who ultimately suffers from it all is Gus :( It's a good thing that he has at least one parent in Brian that truly loves him and only cares about his well-being :)
