Sorry my dear sweet baboo, I forgot to mention the lovely scene with Kevin and Gus spending the night with Brian and Justin. They are the sweetest charactors I've ever read about. I felt bad about the little accident Kevin had but no one reacted badley, Patrick was upset but talked with Justin out of ear shot of Kevin, the boys loved the finger-painting Justin has such patience with both boys and Brian showers the boys with love and tenderness, no wonder that Kevin feels like he is a cousin.The boys are so ex-cited about the twins, they can't wait and neither can I.  Your Sally

My wonderful Sally, NEVER apologize for double reviews!!!!!!!!!!!  I LOVE all reviews, it is extremely shallow of me to get a serious thrill from how many revews I get.  I should probably join some "Reviewer Anonymus" group and do a 12 step to get over my reviews obsession.  I do enjoy writing about Gus & Kevin.  I am really happy about how many people seem to enjoy them as well.  I hope it shows that kids are kids despite whatever issues they have to deal with.  I also like how accepting Gus is and how much he enjoys spending time with Kevin.  Growing up I one of our neighbors often used to babysit a friend's Down's syndrone son.  I remember the neighbor telling my Mom that her frieds had trouble finding people willing to babysit their son.  We will learn the sex of the twins soon.  Thanks for all your support!!!!!  your swett Baboo

Mikey has such simple mind, to think Ben will forgive and forget what he did.

Kevin and Gus are such a pleasure to read.  Gus is so loving and caring.

Looking forward to see what the twins sex is.

Justin and the nephews are going to have an interesting time with Joanie.

Hi JoAnn, I am going to guess and say you are a Monile reader.  I'm pretty sure Mikey is wromg about Ben changing his mind about the conditions for staying together. I love Gus & Kevin's relationship, which makes sense since I created it. Would be sad if I didn't like it.  You didn't state your preference for the twin's sexes, that isn't written yet.     Thanks for another terrific chapter.  A lot was revealed about

Michael.  For me, the most interesting remark was when Ben finally

understood that not only did Michael not support the household, and

didn’t financially support his daughter not because he couldn’t, no no

no.  He didn’t because “Michael felt no obligation to contribute.”  How

is that possible?  Though only implied, is a gambling aspect to

Michael’s actions.  Buy ‘something’ with the expectation of selling it at

a higher price. The thrill or bidding and selling on the Internet.  That is

complicated by his need to 'collect'. Finally, I have to wonder, thought

Ben seems really upset at Michael being so very irresponsible, it is

that the irresponsibility and dependency Ben finds so attractive about

Michael.  Maybe? I wonder what is in store for Michael.  The future

does not look good.

   Once again, thanks for the chapter and thanks for the story.

Happy to know you are still enjoying the story.  I always enjoy redng your comments!!!!  I think Michael liked "being taken care of" and Ben liked "taking care of him".  They are kind of co-dependant, each getting what they wanted out of the relationship but not really having a healthy relationship.  The problem came when Michael started dipping into the household money.  Ben was happy if Michael played at the comic book store and supported his own playtime but not interested in paying for Michael's playtime.  I like your idea of equating the collectable buying to gambling.  I hadm't thought of that but it is similar, trying to get rich without a lot of work.   You are correct that Mikey getting a real job and making his own living may change their relationship but maybe it will get better???  Maybe not!!!  You'll just have to keep reading to see what happens.  Thanks for the review, you know I LOVE reviews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Bill

Hi, Bill! Had a few minutes to get caught up.  I'm glad Ben laid the law down, so to speak, with Michael. Now let's see if he really follows through. I have my doubts.

And I can just imagine Joan in my mind's eye with those 'helpers,' and the daycare - ha!  That was so IC for her.  What a piece of work!

So first question of the day how did Gus disappear with the O'Brien boys how come he did not go out to dinner with Brian and Justin. 

Then I guess I have to mention Michael so glad Ben finally called him on all his shit I hope Ben gets something from the sales to pay back the money he stole but I am doubtful. 

Joan ugg you filled this chapter with the icky people. Is it wrong to hope the alcohol causes more issues ok it's wrong but I don't like her and want someone to go through the house and throw out all the vodka.

i like how Brian and Justin handle Kevin's issues they figure out what he can do and work with that it seems like his family and probably most people who work with Kevin just do it for him rather than letting him see there is so much he can do for himself. The now man I take care of (17 plus years severe autism) is coddled by his parents and most caregivers like that luckily some of his caregivers know what he is capable of and make him do somethings for himself.

i like how John and Peter are learning to go with the flow of where they live talking about school helping with dinner knowing when to make themselves scarce they know they are home I like it.

Baby time one of each please 

Justin's show in New York I almost feel like there should be some drama there this story has been to calm for Brian and Justin

Okay, I'm going to say that Gus went to dinner with the everyone else but I just didn't mention him by name. That's night not be strictly true but that is my story and I'm sticking with it!  I think Ben will get some of his money back frm the sale of the comic book store contents but not $6,000.  He will need to get the rest of the money from Mikey's paychecks at his new job.  Where do you suppose MIkey might get a job??????  Who might his mother beg to give him a job????  I think when people really love someone it is sometimes hard to push them to expand their limits, they want to protect them and take care of them.  Like you I have seen it happen.  It happens for noble motives but it happens.  I think B&J try their best to treat Kevin the same way they treat Gus.  That might get more difficult as Gus gets older.  Kevin helping with the babies may help his self esteem.  Might be a little angst in the next chapter.  I agree that we need a little drama, I have been thinking about that, you are in mind again.  Thanks my friend for your comments, they always make me think!!!!!  Bill

Did my usual happy dance seeing the update!! Fantfriggintastic chapter! 

Am starting to wonder if Joan wil begin to thaw a bit. If she finally realizes her lonliness is due to her own actions, her own judgments. Hopefully the care she's receiving will eventually get her to stop drinking, and she'll have even a small epiphany, without the haze of alcohol. Perhaps the boys will eventually be able to show her how truly happy they are and she'll appreciate what B&J have done for then rather than be in fear of what they'll do to them. Or...........she'll just remain the heinous bitch she is. ;)

And then there's Micheal. to say he's in trouble is an understatement! YIKES! He brought it all upon himself though. Really glad to see that Ben has come to the realization that he also was an enabler to Micheal's way of thinking. Hopfully this will be a turn around for them, but for some reason..........I just don't see it. LOL. I think Micheal will always be a snivelling little whiny bitch whio will always need his ass wiped for him rather than do it himself. 

Excellent update!! wonderful interactions with all the kids! Everyone encouraging Kevin is terrific. He's come so far!! It's a part of this story that I'm loving so very much!

There is so much good stuff here I almost don't know where to start.  You have to feel sorry for Ben, he works hard and has medical problems and to find out that their checking account is overdrawn is a pain.  Frankly I thought he was too easy on Mikey.  He should withdraw his name from the account until which time as he contributes to the account.  Joanie is really a pain.  You'd think she'd be happy she didn't have to cook, but oh no.  All she does is complain.  Can't wait to read about how the visit from John, Peter and Justin goes.  John and Peter have settled nicely into the family and help out with Gus.  It was nice to see Kevin and Patrick visiting.  Gus really makes use of Kevin to be sure they get their pancakes.  lol.  Love the special gift you had them make for Grandma Jen.  It was perfect.  We got to see Daphne and of course you've made me hungry with all the great meals they've had.  No fair.  Finally we have Justin's art show in New York and a visit to the doctor with Eden to look forward to in the next chapter!

Michael&Ben: A much neeeded thunder and lightning, a wake up call for Michael. I hope things will work out. I always loved Ben and couldn´t quite see them as a couple of equals.

Joan, ever the charming person! The social assistent with "don´t bullshit me" attitude - that´s some beginning. Will Joan get her 8.chance out of life?

J&B´s home: Nice to have some timeline-hint (6 months), they are settled as a family, the baby girls may come!
