Do you ever think that Gus is a little boy with normal curiosity. He sees Peter or John enter or leave the pool house and wonder what that is about. He waits till he is alone, knocks on the door, and Joan comes face to face with her seven year old child. He is let's face it, her blood grandchild. He wants to know who this women is and she just may look at this as a do over to be kind to the child she neglected. Gus is sweet kind and innocent. He would be thrilled to have a new grandmother. {if she was nice to him}

I loved that Jennifer called Brian on his use of greeting her as "Mother Taylor". Nice conversation. Good for Debbie putting Michael in his place. Wonder where he will be spending Chirstmas? Home alone I hope. Now as to Mother Kinney what do you have planned for her. She needs to either go home or melt that hateful heart. Great update.

Author's Response: Somehow I don't think Brian is going to stop calling Jennifer "Mother Taylor". He has always known she doesn't like it but he can be a little devilish. Another reviewer suggested Mikey & Joan might spend Christams together. I think that would be an interesting dinner but probably won't happen. All the fun Gus and Kevin have with grandmom Jen reminds me of growing up. My grandmother was just like this and then my mother was the same with my boys. Baking cookies together during the holidays. Now I am trying really had to keep the tradition with my granddaughter. I was proud of Justin making Deb understand that Brian is a different person. I laughed at the lady in the airport lounge. The boys had a good time with her. Great update of my favorite story.

I'm so glad that I took the time to read this- I've been playing around with the idea of starting this but I thought that I would need to read the first story but for the most part I could follow everything prefectly- although there were more than one character I was a little lost on. I love Justin's and Brian's weekly date thing- too cute and romantic. Brian scheming to score with Justin when they went out to gaze at the stars was adorable. I'm happy to see that Mel and Brian left on good terms and there's going to be a new baby. Yay!

Brilliant. Love Jennifer in her protecting mother mode to her "boys". She doesn't let anyone get away bad mouthing or hurting them.Mel needs to let go of being jealous of Brian and Justin and all that they do for her, Liz, Gus and Jenny because basically she would have zero, Mikey surly wouldn't help them. It looks like Mikey doesn't even talk to Ben about Mel and Linz needing help, all he does is complain about Justin. Love how Gus learns to count and add using the candy, nis cousins are very clever.
Looking forward to the new baby and how he or she is goig to effect Linz nd Mikey.
Fantastic update, always looking forward to next.

Author's Response: Hi JoAnn, glad you enjoyed the latest chapter. Jennifer does look out for all her boys. She is one person we know will be thrilled by the baby news. I think Mel just has a difficult time acceting that she needs so much help. I think she lnows how much she owes B&J she just hates not being able to stand on her own and having to ackowledge that she screwed up. Gus is happy to do anything that gets the attention of those big boy cousins. Luckily those cousins are happy to spend time with Gus. So you don't belive that Linds & Mikey will be thrilled about the new baby??? Hmmmmm that's interesting. Sorry for the delayed review. I've been out of town on business. I was so excited to see the second "book" in the series! Naturally, it starts off briliantly! I am so excited to see what this part of the series brings about for all these characters.
I can't wait to see what happens with the baby! will there be twins?? either way, even 1 little baby sunshine wil be thrilling. I get the feeling that as much as Lindsey may improve, this news may not go over well at all.
the 2 boys are wonderful! I love how Peter is looking out for Gus. Glad brian was able to communicate that to Mel.
I really wish that people would stop looking to Brian and Justin as ATM machines. I get that Mel says she doesn't like being beholden to them financially, but in all honesty, I'm wondering if a bit if her thinks that they should. she says all teh right things...but is she really regretful of constantly having her hands out. As much as Micheal claims he doesn't have the $$, we all know he does. justin set him up to have it. If she really doesn't want to have to keep going back to Brian, she needs to sit down with Micheal and Ben. They NEED to contribute more. It's not Brian and justins total responsibility to cover Mel, Lindsey adn the kids for everything. She doesn't need to buy right away. Rent some place until they are a bit more financially stable adn can get a mortgage.
(I really ten to rant in my reviews at times don't I? lol)
Never the less...fantastic start to this new book. thrilled that you're continuing it!!! Definitely looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: I am happy to read reviews whenever they come so no problem with a delayed post. I think you may be correct that not everyone will be thrilled with a baby sunshine. I think Jennifer will be thrilled enough to offset any bad feelings from anyone else. Mel does seem to have a lot of financial demands but B&J will always make sure Gus is well taken care of. They are too nice not to treat JR well even if her own father doesn't feel any financial obligations. Ranting is good, just shows you are really in to the story which I appreciate!!!!! Hello my sweet B. I'm so happy to see the new story about the Kinney family, sorry I'm late in reviewing and reading. I totally re read sickness and health etc. broken angel, prego stud and daddy stud, Tricky adventures,and Christmas presents and the offer still stands. Now about this chapter:I liked that Peter was helping Gus and others with math and the both boys doing well in school. One of the funny moments was Brian ran in to Ed Dennison and his charming way let be known that both boys were doing great and John made friends and there was never reason to consider him as a problem. I like Mel she tries to work with Brian, I feel when Mel and Lindsay look for a house, Lindsay will want one bigger than Brian bought Justin.I feel Ben should step in an tell mikey no more toys that it is only fair they help with JR,he wasn't very willing to buy his child nice furniture for her doll house because it wasn't going benifit him. Lindsay is still a bitch and mikey is still a moron. Can't wait for you next chapter. your Sally

I LOVE those Tricky stoires, they are the reason I wrote my own story. So anyone who enjoys my story should thank Predec2! Porr Ed he will need to try and avoid Brian until Peter graduates! I don't think B&J are going to finance a mansion for Mel & Linds, I am thinking just a nice three bedroom home. I don't think Jennifer will let them get too carries away. Mel always said she didn't expest support from Mikey and he is NOT someone who adapts to change. Ben might make him realize his reponsibilities but that is not a sure thing. It really is great to be able to continue to follow the family. There were some major happenings in this chapter.
Eden is pregnant with Justin child.Wow! That is big news. I wonder if it is possible for two little Sunshines.
Lindsey is improving. To me the brings up the issue as to how much Melanie can handle. I sure can understand the difficulties, but maybe Gus was right. He needs to live with his Daddies. Even with the new baby, I think B & J can raise him and give him the attention a kid needs. Then again, if there are two little Sunshines, then what?
Finally, if as stated, in order to buy a home for Lindsey and Mel., Brian and Justin would have to use their Credit Line, then I see a real problem. I thought they had enough money, more than enough to afford anything they want. I guess not. But my problem is that Michael and Ben are not contributing anything. That is bad, and wrong. Time to have a meeting and have them start
to contribute. I bet they can, it is just Michael being selfish. How many times have we heard him say, “Brian can afford it.” That is not the issue. The issue is that JR is his daughter, and time he started to support her.

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed this chapter. I think Mel really love Lindsay and that is why she out up with her for all these years. I think we will find out how many babies my be coming when Eden has the first sonogram. B&J are rich, they have plenty of assets but they also have a lot of expenses, 4 private school tuitions, Molly's college tuition, Alice & Charlie's salaries and a lot of their money is invested. The Bllom building renovations cost KT properties a lot of money. They still have their charitable foundation to fund. It take a lot of groceries to feed Justin and the nephews. They had to buy donor eggs, pay a clinic to have the fertilized eggs implanted and Eden's medical expenses. Now to pay a couple hundred thousand dollars for a house may be too much for their cash flow but they are not heading for any serious financial trouble. A lot of their money is invested as the issue is just immediate liquid cash.
Mikey is selfish but I don't see Brian ever confronting him about paying money. Melanie always told Michale she didn't expect any support from him and we know Mikey does NOT deal well with change. Hope you continue to enjoy the story. I always look forward to your comments, they make me think and I enjoy your perspective on the story!! Thanks, Bill

Looks like thing are looking up for the new little Sunshine. I wonder, though, what it is that Lindsay isn't remembering. I mean is it that Justin and Brian are married? That could be trouble. i like that Gus talks to Peter and tells him what is going on and even more that Peter tells Brian and Justin so they can help.

Author's Response: Nice to know I was missed. You are in my mind again! Gus loves his cousins and Peter is happy to help him with his homework via cell phone. You will hear about the trick or treating. Thanksgiving is a little way off, I think we'll have some things of interest happen between Halloween and Thanksgiving. Last year Alice & Charlie used the house for their family's Thanksgiving. It would have been a great idea to have some chapters in reserve and be ready to post them on a schedule, sadly that isn't happening. I will try and post the next chapter as quickly as possible. Oh what a wonderful chapter. Thank goodness the boys have Alice to take up the household slack for our very busy family. I love how she mothers everyone in her own way and a way that Brian and Justin do not even realize it is being done. Omg Mel way to go to ask for money and then slap the money bank down! Why did she want her own agent? Was it just because she wanted control or another reason ?? Anyway as usual Brian will do anything for Gus and Justin and he will take a financial risk for them and the nephews
