I'm so looking forward to your next chapter. I often re-read parts of both of your stories and can't express how much I enjoy and cry while reading them.  Hopefully, your next chapter will be posted soon.

That's a wonderful story and I love it but I wonder why they don't go to a doctor.

They have the money and there are so many new medical research out there.

Just an opinion.........

Author's Response:

Justin and Brian have been to the doctor several times in the past, regarding Justin's hand.  (I've written about it a few times during the coarse of this story.)  The problem is that there is no cure for the 'side effects' Justin suffered from his bashing, which included brain damage to a section of his brain that controls motor skills.  Also in this story, Justin has developed rheumatoid arthritis, which in itself, also stiffens the hand and causes the joints to become swollen, sore, and bulbous.  Tere is medication to  to ease the symptoms of the arthritis, but it too is an unfortunate illness for which there is no cure.

Thank you for your insightful feedback and suggestions!  I truly and greatly appreciate your input!!

Is the plan for Brian and Justin (or maybe not Justin) to work in the PA office?   A bonus would be they'd be with their "family" especially JR and Gus/Shane.  I hope so, I love the business Brian...

Author's Response:

Oh, I'm sorry, I can't give away any spoilers about Brian and Justin :o

However, I can say that their family, including the kids, Gus, Shane, and Jenny, will always 'stick together'.

Yep, business Brian can be a force to be reckoned with; he has a brilliant business sense.

Wonderful update.  I am so impressed with the length of your chapters.  Brian and Justin have such a wonderful relationship and are such great role models for Gus and Shane.  I absolutely loved the confrontation between Justin and Craig.

I never want this story to end!

Author's Response:

I'm so grateful you like the long chapters!

Yes, Brian and Justin do have an amazing marriage, and they are indeed excellent roll models for the boys.

I'm deligted you liked the confrontation between Craig and the Kinney's.  Justin finally got his say :)

Thank you so very much for reading, and for your encouraging comments!  Both are greatly appreciated!!

I love these long chapters - very rich and full of character. Craig is unbelievable - Jennifer was so lucky to wise up and leave him. I like the way Brian protected Justin and Justin allowing him.

With the selling of the New York branch I'm feeling a bit confused - I don't know whether to be angry with Brian for not telling Justin straight away because he's trying to protect him or sympathize with him because he's trying to protect Justin.....talk about complicated. At least Brian is planning carefully. And with less pressure Justin should fare much better.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I do try to pack a lot of information into each chapter :)  I'm delighted you enjoy reading them!

Brian has always shown his protectiveness towards Justin, and as the years go by, I believe that aspect only strengthens.  With age and a bit more maturity, I think Justin realizes there are times when he needs to let Brian know he appreciates his protective nature.

Regarding Kinnetik, Brian's motives were pure of heart.  He didn't tell Justin initially for two reasons: one, he knew Justin would argue the point with him and try to insist he not sell it, and two, the most important, was if he had told him about it at the very beginning, which was at the time when Justin's hand was giving him extreme complications and affecting the quantity of his work at Kinnetik, it would have taken a hit on Justin's self esteem.  He would know undoubtedly that Brian was selling because of him, and neither man would ever condone the other making that much of a sacrifice for the other.  It was yet anoter spectre of Brian believing he was protecting Justin.

Thanks for your supportive feedback and for readng the story!  I apreciate both, immensely!

Wow! That was a heavy chapter. I see Brian's point, but wow! What a gift to Justin and himself.

Author's Response:

There was a lot going on in this chapter.  Brian's intentions and goals were heartfelt, and centered on helping Justin.  Justin may have been upset at first, but he realized how incredibly important he still is to Brian.

Thanks for commenting!  I'm delighted you're enjoying the story and greatly appreciate your continued support!

This is a great story and I am so glad you didn't make us wait until the next chapter to find out what Brian was up to.  It's hard to imagine him not working, so that shoud be interesting to watch.  I love B&J in love like this....so special.

Now, I just have to comment with respect.  WHY is Brian still smoking?  I mean seriously, with his BP/heart issues it's not smart.  I think there is no way Justin would smoke still, especially not in front of Brian...and he would probably actively try to get Brian to quit.  I know this is a work of fiction, but everytime he lights up I cringe...please quit Brian!!

Thanks for giving us this wonderful story anyway.  I love it.  Peace.

Author's Response:

I'm so happy you're enjoying this story!

I totally agree that it's difficult to imagine Brian not working...we'll have to wait and see how that aspect plays out :)

Brian and Justin indeed have a very special and loving relationship; I'm so glad you like how they interact with each other.

Brian still struggles with his various vices, one of which is cigarettes.  I agree that in this verse, where he has blood pressure and heart issues, it would be better for him to stop.  If he does quit, Justin would certainly support him, like you said :)

Thank you so much for reading and for your insightful feedback!  I appreciate both, immensely!

Great chapter. Loved all the interactions between Brian and Justin showing them to be so in tne with each other.  I think Gus is going to be upset about the sale.  Really happy to see this uodate, can't wait for more!!!  Bill

Author's Response:

Thanks, Bill!  I'm so delighted to hear you enjoyed this chapter!

The interaction between Brian and Justin is indeed special.  I'm glad to know you like how intuned with one another they are.  (Even on the TV show, they seemed to have this level of ease, and being comfortable and expressive with one another, and could seem to read each other.  I tried to expound on those aspects and how their behaviors and reactions could be canon, but also mature as they aged.)

I agree, I think that Gus will have a 'queen out' moment when he finds out about Kinnetik, ha ha.

I'm so grateful for your continued support and encouragement, and for reading and commenting on this story!!

Wow.  Several things occurred to me.  Brian and Justin are truly not their fathers.  Craig really expected Justin to bail him out, irregardless of how he'd treated Justin over the years.  I would dearly love to know why he needs money.  Gus is not his father, he even gave him advice.  Now as to the sell of Kinnetik, I feel that Brian should have discussed it first with Justin, because even starting all inquires Justin is 1/2 owner and as such should have been involved.  At first I thought he might be turning the business over to Gus and Shane, guess I was wrong.  Exciting chapter.

Author's Response:

Very true, Brian and Justin are nothing like their fathers...thankfully :)   And they together have become wonderful dads to Gus, and treat Jenny Rebecca and Shane like they were also their kids.

Gus is an insightful young man and is very attentive to what's going on around him (at least in that way he IS like Brian).  It was good to see im giving is dad elpful and caring advice.

Brian's intentions of starting the process of selling Kinnetik New York without Justin's initial knowledge, were pure, and his heart was in the right place.  There's definately more to come regarding Kinnetik, but I can't give away any spoilers ;)

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback, and for reading the story!  Both are so apprecited!  I'm thrilled to have your continued support and encouragement!

My heart was constantly pounding with anxiety and joy as i read this chapter. Craig deserved that dressing down, Shane Gus, and Molly are happier than they have been in quite awhile...and Brian is selling Kinnetik NY...WOW! Keep it coming my friend.

Author's Response:

I'm so very grateful for your encouraging words, my friend!  Thank you :)

I gotta agree, there were several moments in the chapter wondering exactly what clever Brian was up to.  Now we'll have to see how that part plays out...uh-oh.

Yep, the kids are all much happier in their lives now, though a few more 'growing pains' may yet appear :)

I agree...Craig deserved everything that was said, forcing him to face the truth.  And Justin surely is a far better man than Criag ever was.
