Gus is trying so hard to make them see that he is better living with them to “help” with the baby. I’m glad that Justin caught on something was up with his behavior. Gus is feeling insecure thanks to the comments he overheard from his moms and Deb and Micheal. I’m sure the guys will get to the bottom of it and reassure him.
Fantastic work xx
Author's Response: His moms are really undermining his relationship with Brian and Justin ( or trying to)- but not really succeeding.

Gus is trying so hard to please his dads, poor little guy just doesn't understand, his mother doesn't have time for him and now he wants to be sure that his dads do, thats some parenting by Lindsey she has done a bang up job of making him feel he has to try to earn his love.
Author's Response: Gus adores his father and I think the more Lindsay and Mel downplay and deminish Brian, the more he wants to be like his dad- a much better role model

Gus is trying to be subtle but something is going on and it's becoming visible...
Author's Response: He's 10- subtlety isn't a skill he really has yet

Thank you for this terrific story.
We got a problem with Gus. He has determined that he is moving in with Brian and Justin and is learning things to help take care of the baby. No, Gus is not moving in, we are going to have a very unhappy Gus. He is going to be one very disappointed kid. We can be sure that Brian and Justin will try to explain to him once again that he is very important to them and will always be. I don’t think that will be enough. I just hear him asking ifAC the new baby can move in, then why can’t he. Good luck trying to explain that.
I will be interesting to see how all this plays out, but I fear, very badly.

So sorry that I did not respond earlier. Gus really wants to be helpful. The next chapter is now up and you can find out what happens.

Uh oh. It seems like Gus is thinking he will be living with his dads all of the time, not just visiting. Something is up.
Author's Response: Gus is tired of all the naysayers. He loves his dad and Justin, but we will have to wait to see what happens when the baby arrives/

By the look of this chapter, and thanks to wanton-speaking 'adults' (I'm certainly using the term loosely), the next chapter will probably be named "Ode de Tantrums" starring Gus Peterson-Marcus (Kinney)! I sure hope that B&J can reassure him and remind that poor darling that they have NEVER lied to him unlike the other pain in the ass adults (there's THAT word again) in his young life. Lindz, Mikey and Deb (possibly even Mel by default) should all be tarred, feathered and GAGGED throughout the remainder of the baby wait!
In the meantime, thank you for giving me a well-timed and well-written diversion from my own work!
HUGS,
~Nichelle

Thanks for thoughtful comment. I don't hide my dislike for some cannon characters and I write them in the future in the same vane. Lindsay and Melanie only want Brian for the money he contributes while Lindsay has fantasies of the nuclear family with Brian as the leading man. I can't imagine Brian forgetting Gus, even with a new baby.
I'm thrilled that you are enjoying the story and it is keeping your interest. Updates are soon coming. Just need to find a new beta- if you know of anyone- please pass their name to me.

Brilliant update!
Looks like Gus is goig to have a confusing/hard time when the baby arrives. Mel, Linz, Deb and Mikey shouldn't be saying such negative things in front of him about how wrong it is for Justin and Brian to have this baby.
Hope Brian and Justin canmake him understand that they will still love him as much as they do now and they will still have time for him.
Good to see Brian and Justin standing up to Linz and not gettingaway with her bull----.
Thanks for sharing, looking forward to next.

Thanks for the comment and taking time to let me know you are enjoying the story. The baby will definitely change the dynamics of everyone involved in the little family- including the adults not raising him/her.

Does this mean the Gus is planning to move in with his dads once the baby is born?
Author's Response: What Gus wants and what he gets are not necessarily the same thing. I'm not revealing any future actions- lol- just have to keep reading

Trouble ahead, I hope Gus doesn't get too upset. He has a typical 10 year old sense of being subtle. Great chapter!!!
Author's Response: Thanks for the comments and your continued support. He hasn't realized subtelty yet.
