Another brilliant chapter.

Brian is awesome dad and commend him for undertaking Gus road to recovery responsibility.

Author's Response:

Thank you!!  So happy to know how much you enjoyed this chapter :)

Yes, Brian understood tat Gus' healing was not only about the pysical, but the emotional and psychological as well.  The atmosphere in Brian and Justin's home is calm, and both dads are loving, patient, and committed to their son.  In their care is the absolute best place Gus can be!

I'm so very grateful for your feedback, and your encouragment!!

wow, this was a long  amazing chapter. whe it was  apparent Brian had a plan upon Gus' release from the hospital, I wa s riveted. Good job. Looking forward to more and now looking forward to the prequel.

So did something happen there that caused all this strife. I mean I know there was the usual dyke/fag conflict in the show but nothing this intense. And no offense but it seems like this story is very skewed against the lezzies. I mean, they can't say ANYthing without getting their heads bitten off. And yet at the same time Brian and Justin need to be fitted for tights, capes and masks! I kinda feel sorry for them in this universe. (Except at the beginning)

Author's Response:

This was a pretty intense chapter, I agree.  I'm delighted you enjoyed reading it!!

I made the chapters in this story quite a bit longer, because I didn't want to leave any cliffhangers between them, and it is a longer story than its prequel.  (In the prequel, I tended to leave cliffhangers at the end of each chapter.)

I wasn't trying to make a villian out of any of the caracters, and I have been asked that same thing by a few other readers, too.  I suppose the best explination I can give is that to fit the premise of the story, and how it will all evendually end and come to fruition, Lindsay and Mel's characters are a bit more dramatic.  However, in my opinion, in the show, both of them were already a bit intense in their behaviour.  But that is only my viewpoint :)  The prequel to this story (To Be Or Not To Be) does describe in great detail the path Mel and Lindsay took to get them to this point of their often skewed actions.

I appreciate your feedback, and I hope you continue to like the story!  Thank you for taking the time to read and to comment!!

Wow - intense and powerful chapter! I'm glad Gus is doing much better, poor boy has so much to deal with in his young life. So good for him to have his Dads to support him in any way  possible :) But his Moms ?? Terrible sort of parents, why did they want to have children at all??

Author's Response:

This was indeed an emotional and intense chapter!  Gus is improving well, having had so much thrown at him at such a young age.  And yes, his dads are quite involved with his life, which only reassures and strengthens him in a positive way.  Mel and Lindsay are a different matter, though, to be sure.

Thank you so very much for your insightful feedback, and  I'm very delighted you are enjoying the story!! :)

Poor Gus.  You are doing such a great job of conveying his feelings of pain and loss!  Brian AND Justin are amazing parents.

Author's Response:

I'm so delighted you are enjoying the story!  I really wanted to focus on Gus in this one, as well as his relationships with those who are closest to him and the different dirrections each of their lives take.

I'm very thankful for your continued support and feedback!  Much appreciated!

I went through an entire box of tissues. OMG ! It's time for the 4 fathers to secure their children away from 'the moms'.

Wonderful chapter, just wonderful...

Author's Response:

Thank you immensely for your comment!  It is very encouraging to know you are enjoying the story and liked this capter!  It was a very intense and emotional chapter.  Hopefully, the dads can come up with a solution to help their kids.

I truly appreciate your support and feedback!

Please...please...please let Gus go live with his dad's soon. Mel and Lindz have zero clue that they are really hendering his recovery with all their negative bullshit. What does it take to get it through their thick skulls that what they are doing is not helping. Kudos to Brian and Justin for pulling things together for Gus and just being the awesome dad's they are.

Keep up the good work my friend.

Btw...I hope my comment doesn’t seem pushy or demanding because you as the author are in complete control of the story and it is not my intention to try and influence the plot one way or another ;)

Author's Response:

Thank you so much my dear for your feedback!!  You are not at all being pushy or demanding.  Quite hte contrary!  I find your continued responses very toughtful and encouraging!!   Showing your support is so greatly appreciated, and I'm thrilled to know you're enjoying the story!

Defintely, the two women have a need for parenting lessons.  Luckily, though, Gus is almost 18, and now in his senior year of high scool.  I'm certain some changes for all 4 parents will cause a ruckus when he graduates!

Brian and Justin are wonderful fathers.  They're human and make mistakes, but they also often think things through and try to put their son's needs ahead of their own.

Thank you once again for reading and commenting! :)

Just love a protective, sneaky, organized Brian. So glad to see Gus with Brian and Justin - who better to take care of him during his healing. At least most of the family agreed. Mel and Lindsay need to get their heads on straight or have their heads 'knocked two-ways to Sunday'. Selfish bitches. And Mel's whole 'toughen up' attitude - I just wanted to slap her - although Lindsay attitude wasn't any better. The kids are better of with their fathers. Well at least 3 of the 4 - not sure if Michael should ever be left alone with JR for too long - not necessarily the best role model.

Author's Response:

I know, right?!  I like how Brian can be soft spoken, and outwardly appear calm, cool, and collected, and simultaneously be a clever-devil :)

I think with Jennifer, Justin's mom, having been through a similar situation with her son, she was able to be the most insightful when talking with Mel and Lindsay about Gus recooperating in New York with his dads; and the rest of the family supported it.

Mel and Lindsay are indeed two unique women!  Unfortunately, I can't picture Mel as an affectionate or huggy mother.  And as we saw on the show, she does tend to have angry outbursts.  I also had the same "I just want to slap her", thoughts you did! :)

Micael as some growing-up to do, but I tink tere will be a future situation were e will be forced to do so, for te outcome to be positive.  e does indeed need to work on being a more positive influence.

Thank you, very much, for your wonderful, detailed feedback, and for your continued support and encouragement!!  I appreciate them immensely!!

What a wonderful chapter.  It was nice to see that Gus was improving and that the family was behind Brian and Justin being the ones who he recuperated with.  I dearly loved how they relied on Ben's help rather then Michaels.  In fact if Jenny had to stay with just Michael, I'd be worried for her mental health.  He's almost as bad as Melanie.  Can Mel and Lindz be trusted to be good parents to JR. once Gus is 18?   Look forward to the continueing saga!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I greatly appreciate your continuing support and perceptive feedback!  They are so encouraging!

With Brian and Justin, Gus is able to be himself, and be free of any criticism or added stress.  And undoubtedly, both his dads are very involved and go above-and-beyond to ensure his wellbeing.

I like how Ben can be level-eaded and determinedly protective of J.R., and the family sees this, too.  I agree...Micahel doesn't have the innate skills or nuture to always be helpful to his daughter, altough he means well.   But I have a feeling that the time will come when he will HAVE to step-up and cange that.

Gus is about to turn 18, so that will likely create a few more issues with Mel and Lindsay :)

The next chapter will be posted soon.  I'm delighted you are enjoying and reading the story!!

Great long chapter with so much going on. Such a shame for Gus & JR to have scuh clueless slefish mothers. Wonderful story!! I'm always happy to see an update. Bill

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Bill, for your continued, encouraging feedback and support!

Yeah, I like doing the longer chapters, and fit more information in there :)  When I posted the prequel to this story, (To Be, Or Not To Be), I tended to leave cliffhangers, but decided against it this time becuse the story is so much longer and has deeper emotional situations.  I hope you lovely readers don't mind :)

In my opinion, I think Mel and Lindsay's characters tended to be a little more 'self-based' on the show, so I decided to expound on that here.  I remember times (on the show) when Mel was more concerned about the fact that she was Gus' parent, rather than getting the true gravity of different situations.  But, that's just my opinion.

Thanks for reading!  I'm thrilled you are enjoying the story!!  More to come soon!
