You didn’t tag that we’d need brain bleach for this chapter...Michael in tight bikini underwear...ugh!!

Wow!  That chapter was an emotional roller coaster.  I'm so glad Gus woke up.  Now comes the hard part, him finding out about Connor and healing.

Yeah can't escape from Kleenex. You blown me away with all the emotion written in this chapter

Author's Response:

Indeed, this was a very emotionally-packed chapter.  I wasn't immune to the tears either, and editing it before posting it, was harder than I had imagined it would be.  But at the same time, it was good to see the strong and loving support of the family, in particular, the connection between Brian, Justin, Gus, and J.R.  Not excluding the affirmative support of J.R.'s dads and the kids' grandparents, the dynamic of the Kinney men and J.R., is unique and special.

There will be a few more emotional occurances in this story, but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel for all of them.  Sometimes, however, not always in the way we might expect :)

I'm so very grateful for your feedback...thank you!!  I hope you will continue to enjoy this story as it progresses!!

Intense!  Well written!  You captured the emotions perfectly.  The next chapter will be very painful I'm sure.

Author's Response:

Thank you so very much for your supportive and encouraging feedback!  I'm so glad to hear you are enjoying the story!

There is indeed additional emotional and painful moments coming up, but things will also start to look brighter for Gus as time goes on :)

This was so sad... I'm hoping for a speedy recovery, and that Mel and Lindsay don't decide that Gus has to stay with them all summer...

Great, but very sad update!

damn your hardcore on us

Author's Response:

I know it was a very sad chapter.  The next chapter will be more encouraging, although some angst will be involved :)

Thankfully, Gus will always have the full support of his dads and his sister.  His future will also start looking brighter!

Thanks for reading and for commenting!  I appreciate both so very much!

This was really a tough read, but I am glad that Gus has woken up and trying to interact with his family. I do have the feeling though that during Gus’s recovery the girls will try to make the decision that Gus shouldn't leave Canada....even for college (that's still a possibility for him right?) Well hopefully everyone keeps their priorities in order.

Author's Response:

I usually try not to do such emotionally-charged, sad chapters, but there will be very positive things in Gus' future :)

Gus' moms are definately not pleased with the aspect of Gus moving away, but he is growing up.  His moms sometimes forget who they're dealing with in Brian Kinney!

I greatly appreciate your encouraging feedback, and am so happy you are reading and enjoying the story!  Thanks bunches for your support!!

Wow so much in this chapter and towards the end I couldn't read it as I had so many tears in my eyes. What a wonderful chapter thank you

Author's Response:

It was an intense, sad chapter.  It was difficult to edit it as I was crying, too.

I'm delighted to hear you are liking the story, and I appreciate your encouraging feedback very much!!  Thank you!

Sad chapter. You handled it well, and it is well written. Thank you for not leaving us hanging about Gus waking up.

Author's Response:

I agree, it was very sad.  Due to how emotional it was, I thought it would be too cruel of me to leave it with a cliffhanger.  With Gus waking up, things will start to improve for him :)

I appreciate your feedback and encouraging words so much!  Thank you!  I'm happy you're enjoying the story!

Poor Gus. He's going to be so broken when he learns about Connor.

And wow. Michael will always think of Brian as number one, isn't he? Not even Ben and JR can topple that. He pouts because JR went to the hospital and his concern is for Brian, not his own daughter. He'd rather stay with Brian (not Gus) instead of supporting JR at Connor's funeral even though Justin and Lindsay are there with Brian. I know he's not a bad guy in this fic, but he's still rather childish.

Author's Response:

Yes, Gus will be heartbroken.  He's got a very supportive family, particularly with his dads, and they will help him get through it :)

I'm glad you caught the part about Michael.  I'm not attempting to write anti-Micael, yet there always seemed to be a part of him that never really was able to let go of Brian, 100%.  It might not surface in every situation, but it does appear at times! He definately should have gone to Connor's funeral, but it was likely one of those times where he believed that HE had to be there for Brian.  I think that with how bad Gus' condition was at the time, Brian wasn't in the mood to argue the point with him.

Thank you so much for reading and for commenting!  I appreciate your supportive feedback very much!  I'm thrilled you're enjoying the story!

What a lovely long chapter.  Sadly things like this do happen.  It was so nice to see Ben there for J.R., since Michael seemed more concerned about Brian.  I just hope that Mel and Lindsay don't do or say something that will set back Gus' recovery.  As always I never want your chapters to end.

Author's Response:

I'm so happy you liked this chapter, although it was a sad one.

I'm sure Mel and Lindsay will have something to say regarding Gus' recovery, but we'll have to read in the next chapter what exactly transpires with that :)

I'm very grateful for your supportive and encouraging feedback, and continued reading of the story!  Thank you!!

Awww poor gus he's going to be devastated. And the love Brian and Justin for each other is so beautiful in your story

Author's Response:

Yes, Gus has had a lot to deal with in his young life.  He has 2 dads who have been through some hard times in their own lives, and I'm certain they will be a great help to him.  I'm not anti-Mel or Lindsay, but neither one have experienced the type of life-altering situations that Justin and Brian have both experienced at different times in their lives.

Brian and Justin indeed have an amazing bond with one another, and are completely devoted to each other.

Thank you so much for your supportive feedback!  I'm truly grateful you are enjoying the story!
